It had been a few days. Alaric seemed to be okay. I still didn't understand how had been able to come back to life but it was magic and I still did not really understand magic despite having been transformed into a girl by it. I didn't really talk to him about to him about it because to be honest I didn't really care about his quest to find his vampire wife, even if she was Elena's mother. Even though he had been very drunk at the time, I had to side with Damon. She abandoned Elena after giving birth to her. She sucked.

Speaking of Damon, he seemed to be better too. He seemed to have the idea in his head that Katherine had sent Isobel to him. For some reason, I didn't think that was true, but I was at least glad that he was happy. I just wished that he realized that he could be happy without Katherine. I felt like the thing that would be best for him would be to get over Katherine. I didn't know how likely that would be to happen, but it would probably be for the best. It probably didn't help that I seemed to the only one to think that.

I put on a leather jacket and pink tank top with a leather pleated skirt and knee socks and went to school, where I met Elena at her locker. Stefan was also there.

"So have you thought about it at all?" Stefan asked. I wasn't quite sure what he was referring to.

"About Isobel, my vampire mother, who was turned by your vampire brother, who is looking for your vampire ex? No, not at all." Elena answered. It seemed like she was still mad about it. I just hoped that she was not still looking for Isobel.

"You know I'm sorry for all of this." Stefan remarked. What did he have to apologize for? None of it was his fault.

"I told you that you don't have to apologize anymore." Elena remarked. "I wanted to be part of this. I just wish that I could go through a day without vampires."

"No vampires at all?" I asked, my voice cracking a little. I mean I could probably hang out with Rachel but she had been Caroline a lot lately. Maybe I could see what Anna was up to. We hadn't really talked since that night.

"No vampires but the two of you…and probably Rachel." She said. "So is Damon still trying to find Katherine?"

"I think so, but at least the hope that he can find her has him drinking less." I stated.

"Well I just want to get back to normal stuff like school, and homework, and maybe even fun." Elena declared.

"What is this fun you speak of?" Stefan quipped.

I headed off to class and the first thing that I couldn't help but notice was that Anna was back in school. I was a bit surprised by that.

"Hey, I wasn't really expecting to see you again." I replied.

"Well my mom wants to stay in town." She replied. "Now if you excuse me, there's someone that I need to talk to."

And she ditched me. You know I couldn't help but think about what I was going to do tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if Rachel wanted to hang out with Caroline. Maybe I could be the third wheel to whatever Stefan and Elena were going to do. That was if they wanted me to. Sometimes, it was hard being single when all of your friends were in relationships.

That brought me to wondering if I should find a solution to such a thing. Maybe I could talk to Anna, but I wasn't even sure if either of us were interested in more than occasional sex with each other and I didn't even know if she wanted that. It could have just been a one-time thing. I wished that I wasn't horny all of the time, but it was an unfortunate side effect of being a vampire. Maybe I should do what Rachel did and invite a girl over to have sex with, but I didn't know anyone and I was not about to compel someone for that purpose. Maybe I could see if Kelsey wanted to hang out at all. That wouldn't be weird, would it?

After school was over, I got a text from Rachel.

"I need your help." It said. That was probably a situation where it would have been a better idea to call me because she could explain it a lot better than a text could.

Nevertheless, I went home with her and I found that Caroline wanted to go on a double date with Stefan and Elena. Well, it looked like I wouldn't be able to hang out with Stefan and Elena.

"I don't know what to do. I haven't been on a double date in such a long time." She declared. "I'm gonna screw things up."

"You can just calm down. You're not going to screw things up. Plus you'll have Stefan and Elena there. You're going to have a great time. So how about you just go put on a dress and take a shower." I suggested.

I was used to hyping her up because sometimes she didn't feel like going out, like when she first became a vampire for example. She didn't want to go out for a while after that, but I was able to convince her and she was thankful for that. Of course, the first few things didn't go well but it was a learning experience and everything was fine. It didn't matter that she had almost killed a few people. I had been able to heal them and we were able to send compel them and send them on their way. Eventually, she developed into the promiscuous girl that I knew her as, but I was happy that she decided to settle down with Caroline.

A few minutes later, Rachel came down wearing a blue V-neck dress with a belt and a maroon cardigan.

"How do I look?" She asked.

"Hot. Now go pick Caroline up because you are going to have a great time." I remarked. I smiled before I realized that she had taken my keys. That was right. We only had one car. I supposed that I thought that she would just take Caroline's car. I then went to Stefan's room to talk to him before he left. I was prepared to hype him up too if I needed to.

"Hi." He greeted me.

"So are you nervous about going on a date with Elena?" I asked.

"No, not really. I've been on double dates. I went with Hef even. I got Miss November." He said.

"You were friends with Hugh Hefner?" I asked. "I didn't take you as the type to read Playboy." I told him.

"Who said that I did." He quipped. "You know you don't have to do this. I'm going to be fine."

"Well, don't let Elena have anything to drink or she might kiss Damon again?" I joked. I then noticed a look of shock on his face. It was then that I realized that I definitely should not have said that.

"What did you say?" He asked.

"Nothing. I didn't say anything." I lied.

"Did Damon kiss Elena while you were in Atlanta?" He questioned.

"No. What makes you think that?" I asked. I had a feeling that I had just completely screwed things up.

"Tell Elena that I'm not going to make it." He said. Yeah, I had screwed things up.

So that meant that I would have to go to Elena's house and tell her. I supposed that I could have called her, but I was already there when I remembered that I was able to do that. I sighed and knocked on the door.

"Brandy?" She answered in confusion before she looked around. "Where's Stefan?"

"Stefan's not coming." I remarked. I hoped that she wouldn't hit me. This was not going to go well.

"Why not?" She asked me.

"Because I kind of let it slip that you kissed Damon in Atlanta." I replied. "I'm sorry."

"Why would you tell him that?" She questioned angrily.

"I didn't mean to. I was trying to make a joke and it slipped out." I replied. I had a feeling that Rachel was going to be mad at me too. "So I guess you need to call Caroline and tell her that you're not coming."

"Oh I'm going." She declared confidently.

"But you kind of need a date to go on a double date." I pointed out.

"I'm going to have a date." She stated. What did she mean? Oh. "Go upstairs and put a dress on."

So a few minutes later, I was wearing a purple long-sleeved V-neck dress and a pair of tights. I was kind of nervous going on a date with Elena, even though I had actually wanted to do so. I had never seen her so scary before. I decided to do what she said before I didn't want to make her any angrier. I headed out to her car and she drove the two of us to the Grill.

Needless to say, Caroline and Rachel looked a little bit confused when I walked with Elena instead of Stefan.

"Where's Stefan?" Caroline asked.

"Stefan couldn't make it, so Brandy is going to fill in for him." Elena explained. Rachel looked like she wondered what happened, but I wouldn't be able to tell her while Caroline was there.

To say things were awkward was a bit of an understatement. I was pretty sure that it was because no one, including myself, was expecting me to be there. I didn't know what to say. We decided to go to a table, even though I had no idea what I wanted to order. What were even supposed to talk about? These may have been issues even if Stefan had come but I wouldn't be there to deal with them. At least I wasn't going to be sitting at home bored all night. Suddenly, we heard the sounds of laughter coming from the bar.

It was Damon, Jenna and what appeared to Matt's mom. They were drinking together and I was a little confused to be honest. Damon usually didn't like to drink with other people as far as I knew. It didn't exactly contribute a good atmosphere to the date, but it wasn't something that the restaurant could help. Well, they could try to tell them to calm down, but I had a feeling that that would just result in Damon compelling whoever did that to leave them alone and Jenna would probably be too drunk to even notice him doing it.

The food was good, but like I said it was kind of hard to enjoy it and it didn't exactly make things less awkward between the four of us, even though they probably shouldn't have been since we were all friends. Maybe it had to do with the fact that Caroline really didn't know anything about the vampire stuff and we couldn't talk about it, but Elena said that she didn't want to talk about it. I was kind of afraid to break the silence because I didn't know what would happen.

"At least they're having fun." Caroline commented.

"They're drunk." Elena pointed out. I kind of wished that I was because that would make things less awkward. Come to think of it, that wasn't that bad of an idea. I could order some drinks. No wait. It was a bad idea. We weren't in New York. We would have to drive home and that was something that you really couldn't do when you were drunk. It was then that she decided to say something else. "So do you remember when we came here when we were all drunk after Homecoming last year.?"

"Yes!" Caroline said through her laughter. I kind of hoped that they planned on sharing it.

"So me, Caroline, Matt and Bonnie came here after Homecoming and we were wasted. The only problem was my parents were seated in the booth next to us. So I had the bright idea to pretend to be choking so we could escape. The only problem was my father, the doctor, decided to try to help. So I ran and slipped on the wet floor. I wound up with stitches and was grounded for two weeks." Elena explained. I couldn't help but smile hearing the story.

"It sounds like something that Brandy and I would have done, well aside from the not having parents thing." Rachel remarked. I wasn't sure why she had to say it like that. It made me feel once again for killing her parents, even though I don't think that was her intention.

"I'm sorry." Caroline said.

At that point, Caroline and Elena went to the bathroom together, leaving Rachel and I alone to play some pool.

"So are you going to tell me what happened?" She asked. I assumed that she was probably wondering why I was here.

"Well I accidentally let it slip to Stefan that Elena kissed Damon." I said. "He kind of bailed after that."

"It could have been worse. You could have let it slip that you slept with her." She remarked.

"You don't need to bring that up." I declared. "Please don't tell me that you told Caroline about it. She can't keep a secret and I don't want Stefan to find out about it."

"Are you just not going to tell him about it?" She asked.

"If I can help it, yes." I answered as I took a sip of my drink.

"What are you afraid of?" She questioned.

"That he'll kill me." I pointed out.

"He's not going to kill you for sleeping with his girlfriend. Besides, they weren't even together at the time." She stated. "It'll be fine."

"They had literally just broken up. It's not really okay to do something like that." I argued. At that point, the two of them came back and I couldn't help but notice that Elena looked spooked. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, we're fine." Elena said. I was confused before she showed me a message on her phone that read "That man called me Katherine."

I looked over and couldn't help but notice that no one was there. It seemed like the mystery guy was onto us and left. I could tell that she was a little freaked out. I decided that it would be a good idea to get out of here.

"Why don't we go to my house?" I suggested.

I thought of who it could possibly be that had called her Katherine. It didn't necessarily have to be someone from the tomb because Katherine had been around for a long time and could have met a lot of people. I ended up driving Elena's car back to the boarding house.

"So had you ever seen this guy before?" I asked.

"No. He had a beard." She answered. That wasn't really a helpful description. "But if he knew Katherine, he has to be a vampire."

"Not necessarily." I pointed out. "She's been around for a while. It could have just been some human she met. If you want, I can have Rachel take Caroline home."

"No I want to be able to have a normal date and make it through one day without drama." She said as I saw the lights of my car behind me. We pulled into the driveway before we headed into the house.

"I still can't believe that you live here." Caroline replied. I hoped that her memories weren't coming back, even though she would remember being here with Rachel last week. I still couldn't believe that they were going to have sex on our bed.

"I suppose it is a bit grandiose." I stated.

"So what movie are we going to watch?" Elena asked.

"Well I'd have to see what we have and I think there might be a DVD player in the garage." I explained. We all went to the garage and they couldn't help but be drawn to one thing.

"Whose car is that?" Caroline asked. It was Stefan's car. It was a red 1963 Porsche 356B Karmann Coupe. It was a nice car, but it was nowhere near as good as mine.

"Stefan's." I explained.

"Why doesn't he drive it?" Elena inquired.

"Well it doesn't really run." I stated.

"Why would you keep a car that doesn't run?" Caroline asked. "Also, I don't like sports cars. They're hard to make out in."

"I think that they're okay. I bet I can fix this. Just give us a few minutes." Rachel said. The two of them left, leaving us alone.

"What are you doing?" I replied in confusion.

"I was thinking that maybe Stefan wouldn't be less mad at you if you fixed his car for him," She responded. I didn't think that was true.

Fixing the car really wasn't that hard. When you had an old car like mine, you needed to know how to fix it but it could be expensive getting other people to do it, even if I could have just compelled them. Well I once came across someone that I couldn't compel, so I learned to fix it myself. We pulled out where Elena and Caroline were outside.

"Wow." Elena commented.

"Yeah, it wasn't that hard. Why don't you two take it for a spin?" I suggested to Caroline and Rachel. I figured that the two of them could use some alone time.

I got out of the car and Caroline got in. I was a bit concerned that they were going to have sex in it, but that wasn't something that I had control of. Hopefully Rachel would be able to keep it in her pants for a little while longer.

"So why did you want me to come here?" I asked. I figured that she was more calm now and we talk like adults, even though Elena wasn't one yet.

"I didn't want to let Caroline down because I knew that she was really looking forward to this." She said.

"I think she would have been fine just going out with Rachel on her own." I remarked.

"Well maybe I kind of do still like you a little bit. I don't regret what we did together, even though I know that I'm should because I'm dating Stefan, at least I think I am. I hope he didn't decide to break up with me without telling me." Elena responded.

"Maybe we should give him some time to think this over." I replied. "I'm sorry for telling him."

"Well it's not like I made you promise not to. You didn't tell him about the other thing, did you?" She asked.

"No." I stated. "I don't want to tell him because I think he might try to kill me."

"Stefan would never do that. He would just be really mad at you." She responded. That didn't exactly make me feel better.

At that point, Caroline and Rachel returned. The two of them were smiling and I couldn't help but notice that they were both smiling and I assumed that some sort of act of intercourse had occurred. I didn't want to smell to confirm that because I felt like that would be an invasion of privacy. Plus, Rachel would probably tell me about it if she did later.

We then went inside of the house…and found Damon making out with Matt's mom. She was pretty embarrassed. She pretty much ran away and I couldn't help but be mad at Damon. What the hell was he thinking. Why would he think that was a good idea. It was also possible that he was going to feed on her and I definitely did not want that.

That kind of cut the date short. Elena ended up taking Caroline home. I didn't think that I was going to get any action, but Damon turned the chance to zero, but I was probably more upset about Damon bringing her over than anything. There was too much that he could have found out.

"What the hell were you doing?" I asked. "Do you know what could have happened?"

"Yes. I was going to have sex with her." Damon replied.

At that point, the window broke and some guy with a beard and some woman came in. I couldn't help but wonder if it was the same guy that Elena had seen earlier tonight. The three of us started to fight together. Rachel probably didn't want to fight with Damon, but we kind of didn't have a choice. I ended up getting stabbed with a piece of glass before Rachel killed the woman with a piece of wood. The man, realizing that he was outnumbered decided to run off.

"Were they in the tomb?" Rachel asked.

"Yeah, I kind of forgot to mention that it's kind of open now,." Damon replied.

Well that was just great. I didn't know what to do because at any moment, they could come in and attack us once again. It was at that point that Stefan came home.

"Why's my car outside?" He asked.

"So there's good news and bad news." I replied. "The good news is that Rachel and I managed to fix your car. The bad news is the tomb is open and some of them came and attacked us."

I then heard my phone ring and noticed it was Elena. I figured that I should talk to her and probably tell her what happened.

"Hi." I stated. "Are you home right now?"

"Yeah. Is everything alright?" She asked. I then remembered what she said earlier. She wanted a drama-free day and I could probably wait until tomorrow to tell her.

"You said that you wanted a drama-free day. I'll tell you about it in the morning." I stated as I pulled the piece of glass out of my body and let out a whimper that I was pretty sure that she heard.

"Brandy, if something bad happened, you can tell me about it." She stated.

"Everything's fine. No one got hurt. I'll tell you about it in the morning." I promised.

Afterwards, Rachel and I went to our room.

"So did you have fun tonight?" I asked her.

"Probably as much fun as I could." She remarked. "So did you and Elena kiss at all?"

"No." I stated as I started to get changed. "I don't know if she was going to do it or not, but Damon kind of blocked me if she was going to. Did you and Caroline have sex in Stefan's car."

"No, Caroline was right. Sports cars are hard to make out in. So what are we going to do about the tomb being opened."

"I don't know." I admitted. "I don't know."

So Brandy and Elena still had their double date, but this time Rachel was along for the ride. Also they found out that the tomb is open. What's going to happen with that. Please don't forget to review.
