Special Containment Procedures: The location of SCP-XXXX's habitat is to be monitored through satellite imagery and on-site personnel. A perimeter is established around the area to prevent unauthorized access. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 (arachnid subjects influenced by SCP-XXXX) are to be documented and tracked for research purposes. Local legends and folklore regarding SCP-XXXX are to be monitored to identify potential misinformation or changes in perception over time.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity located deep in the jungles of Africa, displaying characteristics of both human and arachnid anatomy. Referred to as the "Spider Queen," SCP-XXXX has been the subject of local legends, notably as the "Spider Mother." The Foundation became aware of SCP-XXXX in 1972 after reports from African farmers describing missing and mutilated livestock, with historical records dating back to 1955.

SCP-XXXX appears to have a symbiotic relationship with various arachnid species, particularly tarantulas. The entity demonstrates the ability to summon and communicate with arachnids within its vicinity. Witnesses report a sense of respect and adoration from these arachnids, suggesting an anomalous influence over them.

The Spider Queen does not exhibit overt aggression towards humans and is not considered an immediate threat. Local folklore portrays SCP-XXXX as a figure to be feared by older individuals but considered a legend or even a protector among younger generations. SCP-XXXX's influence is noted to be more pronounced among the arachnid family, with instances of SCP-XXXX-1 being created.

SCP-XXXX-1 refers to living organisms, primarily arachnids, that exhibit anomalous behavior influenced by SCP-XXXX. These instances are commonly observed displaying heightened intelligence, coordinated behavior, and a protective disposition towards SCP-XXXX. Foundation researchers are particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms behind this influence and how it extends to the arachnid community.

While SCP-XXXX is believed to be involved in the disappearances and mutilations of livestock, it has not displayed overt aggression towards humans. Its motives remain unclear, and research efforts are ongoing to explore the extent of SCP-XXXX's anomalous abilities, its role in local mythology, and its potential impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Containment procedures prioritize monitoring and research to prevent any escalation in SCP-XXXX's activity or any potential shift in its behavior that might pose a threat to human safety. Public awareness and understanding of local folklore surrounding SCP-XXXX are to be managed to prevent unnecessary fear or panic.
