Tenchi Muyo: Alternate Galaxies
Chapter 1: The Red Demon Girl, Akaoni
17 Years Later
Shinonome High School
Shinonome was a standard highschool for teens. Nestled in Tokyo, it was well near homes and apartment complexes, both rich and affordable. The students' uniforms were different; the males was a standard male uniform with blue pants, jacket, white button up shirt, red eye, and slippers when inside. The girls had a green mini-skirt, white button up shirt, an orange vest, with a blue jacket, and sometimes would wear white socks, knee tube socks, or black stockings/pantyhose, and slippers. The school was vast enough, and had a standard gate around the area. But at the moment, there were construction workers trying to repair damages. Apparenlty, the school suffered an earthquake and damages were inflicted. But what was odd enough was a news team around the area.
Inside, deep within the boiler room, an odd set of ruins were shown. They appeared to be almost ancient Japanese, entailing a time long before standard cultures were shown. It appeared to be a kind of sealed door, with in front appearing a shrine. A news team was setting up for something. At the moment upstairs, a familiar face was taping off the area, as he worked diligently to keep the students at bay from getting close. He was in his thirties, wearing an orange suit, green button shirt, and had his slippers on. It was Fujisawa, now working and living the dream... and he seemed a bit bummed at it. Apparently, being a high school student teacher didn't help with getting respect from his students... say for two.
"Alright, kids, let's get a move on," he said, as he waved off. "Nothing to see here."
"Awww, can't we," one of the students said, pleading to him to bend the rules.
"I can't let kids get hurt if there's an accident," Fukisawa said, as he turned around, only for something to fall out of his jacket pocket.
It was an alcohol flask, as a burly male student saw it and shouted, "Look! Fujisawa's on the sauce!"
"He's a lush," one of the girls added in an accusing tone while the other students whispered among themselves. Fujisawa turned around in a panic as he tried to defend himself. "Ah wait! It's medicinal," Fujisawa tried to explain, but the students were already running away from him in a panic.
Fujisawa slouched, as he sighed in defeat and depression, "I'm just weak-willed."
"There, there, Dad," a voice said, as he gave him a gentle pat on the back. It was a seventeen-year-old Asian young man, with a small muscle build, with a handsome face and black hair cut short but having bangs in the front, and one tucked in the back of the right ear, and brown eyes. He wore the standard male Shinonome uniform, but had the jacket tied around his waist, his tie missing as the collar was undone, and had a red and brown watch on his left wrist. This was Daisuke Fujisawa, Mr. Fujisawa's son. The level-headed son who tried to help his old man with his school job.
"Though it wouldn't kill you to have a little restraint on drinking," Daisuke advised, gently.
"Oh son, it's just so hard," Fujisawa answered back, "It tastes so good!"
"There are other things that taste good," Daisuke replied, "Like juice, ramen, and other things."
"Ah, your imagination is limited," Fujisawa said, as he straightened up.
"So is your will," Daisuke smirked.
Meanwhile
Down in the basement, an interview with a student was being held. The student wore the same uniform, was Asian, seventeen, but pale and somewhat lanky in a way. Possibly the uniform throwing it off. He was combing back his black oily hair, as his smirk was scheming and ever-showing. This was Katsuhiko Jinnai, the student council president.. and a tyrant and megalomaniac to the students. But a hero... at least in his mind. "Okay, we're on in Three, Two.." the cameraman said, adn then gave the signal to the reporter.
"With us at the sight is Katsuhiko Jinnai who made the amazing discovery right here," the reporter said before turning towards Jinnai as he put his comb away and showing off a confident smile, "Tell us-"
"Yes, you can imagine my surprise," Jinnai suddenly grabbed the microphone from the reporter, "When this simple and humble student president found ancient cultural remnants beneath school. I feel that it was destiny that led me to this discovery."
Meanwhile, two other male students were watching from the railway nearby. "That's crap," one with a bowl cut replied, "I heard the Literature Club president freshman found it." The other student, who was broad and wore glasses nodded in agreement.
Jinnai then smirked, as he leaned into the camera, as he said, "I believe it would be fitting to call this, the Jinnai Ruins. In honor of its discoverer." The news crew sweatdropped, as the reporter said, "That's a thought."
"Excuse me! Coming through!" The sound of a girl's voice got the reporter, the cameraman, and Jinnai's attention as they looked towards the owner of the voice.
It was a sixteen-year-old Asian girl, physically fit, with a modest B cup chest, tight waist, and athletic frame. She had light brown eyes, and orange-brown hair done in a flaming back flip hairstyle and bangs combed to the left and held with a green hairband. She was in the standard Shinonomi High School female uniform. She was Nanami Jinnai, the nicer sibling to Katsuhiko's bloodline, a friend of Daisuke, and had a massive crush on him. And today, she was gonna set the record straight. "Sorry for the interruption, but I'm Nanami Jinnai of the Broadcast Club," she then began to interview him, "I'm here to get the dirt about the alleged dishonest election."
Jinnai then dramatically said, "Nanami. How dare you say this to your big brother."
"A journalist, even a good one, must be completely objective," Nanami said with pride.
"But you're not even in the Broadcast Club," Jinnai said.
"Haha. They paid me to take this assignment," Nanami replied before resuming her interview with her brother, "So, Mr. President, any comments regarding the growing suspicion at this high school of a rigged election?" Hearing that, Jinnai's face began to sweat as he was while looking like he just swallowed a bug. "Well, Mr. President," Nanami continued pressing her brother for an answer.
"I am innocent," Jinnai declared with a stern expression, "Those rumors are completely baseless! Most likely started by others who disliked the results of the election!"
"I'm sure you can discuss that tomorrow," Nanami smirked, pressing it on. "Daisuke... I mean, Mr. Fujisawa's son, who is a primary witness. What do you say about that?"
JInnai then looked at the camera as he ran, "This interview's over!" and cut the broadcast as he pushed it away.
Meanwhile
Council Room
Daisuke was sleeping in the Council Room, after he was summoned there by the council to begin with. Though they had been watching the whole scenario, while Daisuke could care less about all this. Though among one of the group, was a girl of Daisuke's age, and had a slender frame with a B cup chest. She wore her uniform clean and standard, having a sense of prim and proper, with her brown hair reaching down to her lower back, and with two equally longer bangs in front, ending at the middle of her ribcage, and brown eyes. She was Mitsuki Sanada, daughter of the Science Teacher of the school, rumored to becoming the new President of the Council, and the most sought after beauty girl to be a girlfriend.
"At last, the tyrant has been deposed," a male member of the student council declared proudly.
"Good, I was sick of bastard's fascist politics," another said with a smile while popping the cap of a bottle of soda to celebrate.
"Good job, Daisuke," a third member said proudly, "You're in. Congratulations!"
"In what? I just stumbled on him making a deal with the baseball club's head about getting funding," Daisuke said, as he slept on the couch, nonchalantly, also ignoring the others. "It's his fault for not picking a better hiding spot."
Outside, another student with tan skin who looked like he also swallowed a bug as he made his way towards a shed. "Mr. Ishijima!" Nanami's voice caught the now identified teen to quickly enter the shed. "Mr. Ishijima! Please wait a minute," Nanami cried out as she and cameraman ran after him. Nanami stopped Ishijima from hiding in the shed, "Is there any truth to the allegation that you and President Katsuhiko Jinnai had a secret agreement to increase the baseball's budget? Tell me now!" Ishijima didn't answer, but he had a guilty expression on his face as he quickly closed the door without a word. "You're just stalling the inevitable," Nanami declared through the door.
Back in the Council Room
"Jinnai was buying all their clubs," one of the council members exclaimed, "He paid off the soccer club! And the judo and the baseball clubs! He used student government funds to do it!"
"That explains how he got into office," the member with glasses continued, "No one would vote for him otherwise."
"With your testimony, he can air his dirty laundry," the third member declared, "And get that jerk of the council for good! No more of his ridiculous rules like having to post portraits of Jinnai through the school hallway!"
Mitsuki looked at the sleeping Daisuke as she softly smirked, "Here that, Daisuke You do this, not only will you have Jinnai disposed, you'll be a hero."
"I think I'm gonna walk out on this one," Daisuke said, as he slowly got up and headed for the door, as the council looked shocked at this.
"Wait, hold on! You're needed for this," one of the council members called him out.
"Don't you have a responsibility to the school," another shot out.
"I have a responsibility to my dad," Daisuke said, as he opened the door, "Besides, Jinnai will go down without me in the mix."
"It's your duty to Shinonomi High," another shot out, "Don't you have any balls?!"
"I have brains, so that overrides my libido in this one," Daisuke commented.
"So you're just going to run from this, is that it, Fujisawa," Mutsuki calmly said, looking calmly smiling at him. "You're afraid of Jinnai, is that it? Or are you afraid of breaking Nanami's heart?"
Daisuke's back was still to them, as he said, "I'm saying I'm under no obligation to helping you guys out." He then chidly turned to them, sideways, as he answered, "If you want Jinnai deposed, give it time." And then walked out, quick enough to avoid a schoolbag thrown at the door.
"You dummy! And you call yourself a man," a hot-headed Mitsuki screamed out.
"I never said that. You did," Daisuke called out.
"I can't believe him," one of the council members said after Daisuke said, "We have a chance to free the school of Jinnei's tyranny and he goes off like it doesn't affect him! Doesn't he care!?"
"You can't blame him. He's got talent for the Kendo Club, Calligraphy, and he even has a knack for Chess, but he turned down all those clubs," one of the council members said. "We even had him slated to be a member for this council and yet he took a hard pass on it."
"What? What's wrong with him," the same council member from before shot out.
"He says he's not interested in them because he's taking care of his dad," the reasonable member said, and then looked to a silently fuming Mitsuki, "Isn't that the same with your dad, Sanada? I mean both you and he have single parents, but you manage to watch out for him and stay on this council."
Another member thought out loud, "Maybe it's different for him considering Mr. Fujisawa drinks."
"It's not just that," Mitsuki continued, "I think Daisuke dislikes being the center of attention. The idea of him being a hero in the school's eyes probably bothers him."
"He's like the opposite of Jinnei. The guy loves being the talk of the school," the council member with glasses said following Mitsuki's theory, "Too bad his personality is like a flaming pile of garbage."
"Speaking of Jinnai, Daisuke has a point about no need to stand as a witness," the council member said. "If Jinnai's pressured by this, he's gonna snap. And that means he'll slip up by doing something stupid."
Mitsuki thought on it as she thought, 'Something stupid?'
Elsewhere
In the hallway, being all alone, Jinnai was felt a well if despair. That interview would have elevated his status, but his sister and MItsuki's schemes were about to bring all that to a close. Even worse, that fool Daisuke was the key witness. His world was crushing down, as he passed the bulletin board. He saw a couple of posters of him with them saying he should be taken down. Frustrated, he ripped them off as he roared out, clutching his head, "DAMMIT! MY WORLD IS CRUMBLING! WHY IS DAISUKE FUJISAWA DOING THIS TO ME?!"
He looked at the board and saw the listing of results in tests and academics. He smiled as he saw he had reached 2nd place, but then fumed as he was in shock to see Daisuke's name... in 1st place.
He roared out again, feeling despair, "WHY ME?!" He ripped the results up as he roared out, "DAAAAMIT!" But then he paled as he saw an article of Daisuke Fujisawa had won the athletic day during the festival, "Damn you, Daisuke Fujisawa. I loathe you..."
He remembered that day all too well. Daisuke had made the day by winning for the school... while Katsuhiko had ended in last place, crashing on the ground wheezing.
The memory made Jinnai boil in anger, and it only got worse as he began to remember further.
Daisuke had excelled in the art department, as he got 1st prize for his piece being entered into an art contest... while Jinnai was in Hopeful.
Sweat began to pour off of Jinnai, as it just got worse, while veins throbbed in anger.
When he had asked Mitsuki to become his girlfriend, she turned him down. Though when he asked why, he glimpsed her smiling at Daisuke who was passing by. Indicating that Mitsuki had feelings for him.
All this came crashing down on JInnai's head as it finally made him snap, "DAMN YOU, DAISUKE FUJISAWA!" He stabbed the picture of the article with a pen, as he drove the tip hard in Daisuke's face, "You're nothing! LESS THAN NOTHING! No wait, there's less than nothing. AND THEN THERE'S YOU! YET SOMEHOW YOU ALWAYS GET IN THE WAY OF MY SUPERIORITY AND WHAT I WANT!" He finally shredded the picture as his head hung down and heaved in anger, "You won't win now. Not this time. I'll show you." He then smirked, "It's not that easy to get rid of me, Oh no. It would go much easier without you... in the picture." He then laughed out loud, his disgusting laugh that sounded like a chicken being throttled.
After School
Daisuke was in his locker, preparing to go home, which was the trailer on school grounds with his dad. Maybe he figured the reason why his dad didn't get a house was because of him. It hadn't been easy to take care of a kid when you're a teacher and a single parent. When he suggested they'd talk to his mom about it, Fujisawa always seemed to change the subject, stating that it might not be possible and that they were on their own. 'I just don't get why he won't talk about her,' Daisuke thought to himself.
'Maybe they left on bad terms,' Daisuke thought to himself as he opened his locker, 'But then again, he's never tried to date anyone else. Perhaps he-' Just as he was reaching for his shoes, he felt something that shouldn't be there. He pulled out a blank envelope. 'Just great, another request to join a club,' Diasuke thought to himself as he would receive one at least three times a week, 'I wonder who it is this time. Maybe it's a new club I've never heard of. That would be something new.'
But when he looked at it... it wasn't a request. It appeared to be a note held closed with a heart sticker. He arched an eyebrow, as he opened it, and read the letter,
Dear Daisuke-kun,
I've had my admiration for you for a long time. I'm not usually this forward, but I must talk to you. Meet me after school near the forest.
Love,
Nanami
"A love letter from Nanami," Daisuke said as he thought on it aloud, "That's odd."
Later On
Near the Forest
Daisuke was behind the school building as he reached the edge of the forest. He looked around, as the sun was beginning to set, as he browsed around, "Nanami?"
"Well, if it isn't Mr. Fujisawa."
Daisuke grimaced from the sound of the voice as he looked towards the voice's owner. "Jinnei, I should've known," Daisuke said to himself while he mentally beat himself up for walking into such an obvious trap, "I guess I didn't think you would use your own sister as bait of all things. So, what do you want?"
"She has a whole collection of letters she never gave you. It was just a matter to find the right one for you," Jinnai answered. "But the letter did do me the task of bringing to you, my life long rival, to me."
Daisuke sighed, "Jinnai, I told you. For it to be a rivalry, both sides have to agree on it. This is one-sided."
"Only in your eyes, but not in mine," Jinnei declared as he pulled out a rope while sporting a devilish smile.
"Now, Jinnei, let's not do something you're going to regret later on," Daisuke said while taking a step back not liking where this was going.
"Oh I know I won't regret this," Jinnei said while taking a step forward, "I want you out of my hair! At least until after tomorrow's government meeting is over! In clause twenty-three of the school's by-laws, if no evidence is brought against me, my presidency is secure."
"But that's just one of the laws you made up," Daisuke exclaimed, "You're not making a good impression of a president if you make up laws that haven't been approved the school faculty. Besides, I'm not planning to act as a witness tomorrow!"
"Just so you can swoop in dramatically to rile up the students? I'm not taking that chance," Jinnei replied back as he stepped forward while Daisuke took another step back, "Besides, I can do just that. The law must serve my purposes!"
"Maybe so, but there's one flaw in your plan, Jinnai," Daisuke said as he took another step back.
"Oh really? And what's that," Jinnai said, as he stepped forward.
And then... Daisuke sprinted back to the school like mad, "You have to catch me first! And we both know your athletics stink to high heavens!"
"You'd be surprised how fast a person can be when properly motivated," Jinnai exclaimed as he was about to charge forward, but tripped and fell face first into the ground. 'This just isn't my day,' Jinnei thought in anger as his blood boiled. He jumped back onto his feet and chased after Daisuke, "Get back here, Fujisawa!"
In The School Staff Office
Fujisawa was overlooking a map, a climbing map, while he was setting up two sets of gear for him and his son. This weekend, Fujisawa was gonna treat his son to a mountain climbing trip. It was actually something the two could enjoy together as father and son. Though Daisuke often wished he had a girlfriend for him to hang around. Though he assured his son often that he enjoyed spending time with him. Besides, not many females were interested in a guy like him. Though he did tell his son that he wished the kid would get a girlfriend at times, but Daisuke just brushed it off. He sighed, "Oh boy. We're gonna be bachelors for the rest of our lives."
"Mr. Fujisawa," Nanami's voice called out.
'Speak of the Devil,' Fujisawa thought, "Nanami?"
Nanami came through the door into the Office while Fujisawa sat at his desk. "Well, what you are doing here at this hour," Fujisawa asked her, "You know it's a school night."
"You're working the night shift," Nanami explained as she pulled out plastic boxes with food in them, "So I made you and Daisuke some dinner and brought it over."
"Aaw, thanks, Nanami. You really didn't have to," he said, as he scarfed it down, and had some tea with it, "I'm sure Daisuke would appreciate the meal."
"That'll be 1,000 yen, please," Nanami charged, making Fujisawa spit it all out.
"Really? You're charging me," he asked, flabbergasted.
She smiled nonchalantly, "Well, a girl's gotta make a living."
Fujisawa chuckled, as he fished through his wallet, "Y'know if you and Daisuke got together, he'd be lucky to have someone ambitious as you for a girlfriend."
This made Nanami blush, "Aw come on, sir," Nanami said while laughing if off, "It's way too soon to think about marriage! I'm still in high school."
"Well, don't wait too long," Fujisawa said as he pulled out the 1,000 yen he owed, "High school can go by so fast, you don't even realize you're graduating."
Knock, Knock
The two looked to see an elderly priest in a shinto getup, with long hair in a ponytail, wise eyes hidden behind glasses, and a short beard and mustache, "Excuse me, but you are a teacher here?"
"Yes, I am. I'm Mr. Fujisawa," Mr. Fujisawa answered as he stood up from his desk, "How can I help you?"
"My name is Katsuhiko Misaki, I am a priest and exorcist," he said as he came in and sat down, "I saw on the news an earthquake had revealed ruins underneath the campus. I'm here to cleanse and bless the site."
Both were a bit confused on this, as Nanami asked, "Why?"
He then looked at them seriously, as he said, "Because... I believe a Demon is sealed within them."
Meanwhile
Jinnai was running around campus trying to find Daisuke and to tie him up. Though Daisuke was right in that he was fast enough to lose him. Too bad that Jinnai was persistent in finding him as he cried out. "DAISUKE! WHERE ARE YOU?!" He tip-toed around a corner as he said, "You can't hide from me. COME OUT!"
However, Daisuke was going down to where the ruins were, hoping to hide from Jinnei. Though as he entered down, he noticed the ruin pathway and the shrine before the door that the earthquake had unearthed.
Meanwhile
School Staff Office
Fujisawa and Nanami blinked at this answer, as the teacher asked, "You're telling us there's a demon sealed away underneath the school, and that you're here to ensure it stays sealed?"
"Yes, that is correct," Masaki answered as he nodded.
"Oh, come on, a demon," Nanami said trying to play the whole thing off as a joke, "No there's such things a demons!"
"It happened around 800 years ago, before this place was even a school or a town," Masaki explained. "The Demon appeared one day, falling from the heavens. She had scorched the land just from her crash. She had horns that grew from her head, bright red as blood. Hair glowed with power as her eyes could pierce the souls of anyone that dared to fight her. She was a fierce Red Demon of such hellish power, that even the Gods of the Heavens feared her. She had laid waste to many cultures and civilizations, leaving nothing but death in her quake. Until, seven samurai clad in white garb, wielding blades of pure light, stepped forth to oppose her. The battle lasted for an hour, but the seven managed to seal the demon in an eternal sleep, and then buried the temple they sealed her within, hoping the land would forever swallow it and her from knowledge, but only those that knew of it."
Fujisawa then asked, "Then... how do you know this is the temple you're talking about?"
"Because the shrine at the door of it, sealing it, houses one of the swords from the legend," Masaki answered. "Sora, meaning in its language Sky and Light. It is the name of the sword that is housed within the shrine. So long as it's not disturbed, the Demon will remain asleep."
Daisuke walked over to the temple doorway, as he pondered on all of this.
"All this because Jinnai wanted to lay claim on finding this place," he said in a quandary. He then sighed, as he nonchalantly leaned on the shrine, "Seems like a waste to me." But then fell over as the shrine broke, as he crashed into the ground, and the shrine broke as well.
Daisuke froze out of fear that Jinnei heard that. But the room remained silent. Daisuke sighed in relief, 'What a relief, he didn't hear that,' he thought to himself as he stood up. He then looked at the broken shrine and saw that there was something inside. 'What's that,' Daisuke thought to himself as he tried to get a better look at what was in the shrine.
Within the broken shrine box was a rusted samurai blade, with an odd hilt and handle for holding the blade. The handle was dark brown wood, with the hilt being a green pincer-like structure, but at the bottom of the handle was embedded a single red diamond gemstone.
'A sword? Who offers a sword as a offering to a shrine,' Daisuke thought to himself as he pulled it out to examine it, 'Other than this weird looking hilt, it looks like any other samurai sword.' Daisuke pulled the sword out of its sheath only to reveal that the blade was completely rusted. 'Why am I not surprised,' Daisuke thought with a disappointed expression, 'Who knows how long this sword has been in here without proper maintenance.'
Suddenly, the blade broke off, as he blinked, "Wow, that was super rusty."
But then, even more surprised, as the door on the wall suddenly opened. It was almost as if the blade breaking was a trigger on that. Daisuke blinked at that, and curious, and without fear... he walked inside to see where it led. Only to slide down a bit, as the pathway was a slide going down, until he crashed on his butt. "Ugh," he groaned, "Oh come on."
Who's there?
Daisuke blinked at that, as he got up, wondering who spoke out, as he gently walked forward. At that moment, he saw the light before him as he realized this place was pretty huge. The walls were blackened with vein-markings like circuitry, and in the center was a kind of small well. But what really shocked him was what was in front of him.
There, trapped within the wall was a female merging with the wall itself. She appeared naked despite vein-like protrusions growing on her privates. Her legs were completely encased within the wall, as her hands were trapped in as well. She was leaning forward, like a trophy case of sorts. She wore a red Oni mask while long pale pink hair had grown and fused to the wall behind her. And branching from her head looked to be a long horn having branched out like a tree, and growing up above into the wall. Daisuke blinked, as he looked to this odd figure. Until they spoke again,
"Who's there?"
Daisuke looked around for the source of the voice. Either I'm hearing things or there's someone actually here,' Daisuke thought to himself. "Hello? Where are you," Daisuke asked trying to find the owner of the voice.
However, above from the wall... the girl's left eye glowed blue, as she asked, "Who... are you?"
Daisuke then realized it was the person in the wall... and immediately turned around, "Okay, I'm getting out of here. This has been a deeply disturbing day, and a talking demon statue girl takes the cake. Goodbye." And slowly began to walk away.
Though the Demon Girl called out, "Huh? Hold on! Don't go!"
"Not happening," Daisuke replied as he headed for the way out.
"Please! I'll do anything," the Demon Girl called out in desperation.
"Come on! You're obviously sealed down here for a reason, and I'm not saying it's just because I'm assuming you're a demon," Daisuke replied back, "Only a complete idiot would release you, and I'm already dealing with one outside as it is!"
"Please don't leave! I... I..." her voice began to break as she, shivered, and began to cry, "I just want to talk. It's been 800 years since I was sealed. And I only ever spoke to one person." She looked to him and asked, "Please honor my selfish desire... and talk to me, please"
Daisuke stopped in his tracks as he stood there in silence. 'I'm really going to regret this in the morning,' Daisuke thought to himself as he turned around. "All right, what did you want to talk about," he asked her.
She lit up, though still trapped as she smiled, "Oh, anything. Like, how are things outside? Did the Mongols ever invade Japan? DId the Kanke Famine ever get resolved?"
"Um, those were 800 years ago," Daisuke answered, realizing she had been buried for a long time.
The girl slumped again, "Oh. Sorry, I haven't been out of here in a long time. So I'm kind of out of the loop as you modern earthlings say."
Daisuke then said, "Well, maybe I can pick you up to speed then." Daisuke had been sitting down, looking up at the girl, as he had told her everything going on.
Even about his life, as she caught up, "And Jinnai forged a love letter just to tie you up? Sounds like you snitching on him really made him blow his top off. He's definitely getting impeached and disposed."
"No doubt about that," Daisuke replied, "That's why I told the council I'm not planning to testify. They don't need me to get Jinnai impeached. He's practically doing the work for them."
"Are they still beheading disposed leaders," the Girl asked him, "It seems like the easiest way to stop an uprising."
"This isn't that kind of leadership. It's just for a school, and no we don't behead people anymore," Daisuke answered, "Now we just imprison and fine them thousands of yen as compensation."
"School, eh? I've never really gone to school, honestly," the Demon Girl said, as she explained, "I was taken as a child and molded into a weapon. They said school would be no use for a weapon. Still though, it sounds nice."
Daisuke then asked, "Would you... like to?"
"Go to school? Well, I'm over a millennia in age, but I could make it work," she confessed, "If I could, I'd find my Darling and stay by his side, as we promised seven years ago."
"Seven Years ago? But I thought you were sealed up here," Daisuke asked, now a bit intrigued.
"Well, I can't leave the building, but with enough time an energy, I was able to create a solid astral projection of myself exploring the school grounds and only stopping halfway in the forest behind it. It's kind of a drag, really," she explained. "But during that time, I met a young boy. My astral projection was that of a child, and kinda scary, but he was the only one that wasn't afraid. In fact, he treated me like a person and not a weapon or monster." She giggled, "That was actually the best time I had while I had the energy to do so. But all things had to come to an end, I suppose. I didn't have enough energy to last the entire time, so I would have to leave them by sundown. But he promised me we'd see each other again. It was futile as he didn't have the power to free me. But if he did, I would stay with him so he'd never be lonely again." She sniffled a bit, as she said, "I'm sorry. Here I am, telling a sob story to you. It's odd. I guess I feel comfortable around you like I did with the boy from before." She looked away, up above to see the veins from her horn shading the roof, "He's probably forgotten about me and found happiness elsewhere."
Daisuke then thought on it, and looked at the girl in pity, as he sighed, standing up, "Hey." She looked to him as he asked, "Would you like me to free you?"
"You'd... you'd do that for me," she asked in excitement, "But wouldn't that make you a complete idiot like that Jinnai guy if you freed me?"
"You said you've been imprisoned for 800 years, but you didn't say why, so I would be an idiot for doing so without knowing," Daisuke said. He then looked to her in sincere honesty, "But it's crueler for someone like me to judge you to be a villain when you poured out your heart and memories to me." He then held the hilt as he said, "If all you really want to do is keep the promise to that boy, then the first step is to free you." He then half-smirked, "Besides, a demon locked away for 800 years with so much power, if I were in your shoes, I'd want to see the world and just enjoy freedom than cause trouble."
The Demon Girl gasped a bit, and almost hunched over from crying, as she said, "Thank you."
"Though I don't know how," Daisuke honestly answered.
The girl blinked, as she said, "Oh. Well, the trick is to take the sword you have and place the end with the red gemstone in that eye well."
Daisuke blinked, as he looked at it, and asked, "There? Why?"
"Well, that gemstone was actually my left horn. They pulled it off and placed it in the hilt," she explained. "Only my power can unseal me as they used it to seal me in. Ironic, isn't it?"
"Very," Daisuke replied in agreement as he took the hilt of the sword and put it into the well, "Like this?"
Suddenly, the pool began to glow bright red, as the light traveled on the circuitry patterns all over, as they crept about the walls and ceiling. Then around the walls, as it caused the trap around her to crumble, as she felt it becoming loose. Then the branches of the horn began to break and crumble. The girl finally looked up as she spoke in joyous tears, "Free... I'M FREE!"
And then suddenly, a bright light filled the room out, causing Daisuke to shield his eyes.
Elsewhere Someone's monitors had lit up, spiking in an unknown power surge. Someone watched it and knew what to do.
Once it died down, Daisuke saw that the girl was no longer there. But what was left at his feet was her Oni mask. He picked it up, as he said, "Well... I guess that was disappointing."
Later On
School Rooftop
Daisuke had found himself on the rooftop, looking out over the view. Though he heard Jinnai calling out from afar, he made sure that he wouldn't be spotted. Though he was leaning on the fence, he looked out, as he still held the sword's hilt, as he said, "I just wish I could have asked her name."
"Oh, and whose name would that be, Fujisawa," Jinnai's voice spoke up, as Daisuke jumped in surprise, "Pretty clever in coming up here, but your cleverness has come to an end, Fujisawa!"
"Seriously, Jinnai? Give it a rest," Daisuke said, grumbling, as he was backed into the fence, as Jinnei creeped up.
"Hardly," he smirked, as he tightened the rope out, "Once I have you hogtied, all I have to do is wait for your tardiness during the meeting, and my presidential seat will be secured to me. And when my seat is secured, maybe I'll leak out to the faculty who was double dipping in the finances and have you expelled!"
"Would you care to repeat that, please?" an unknown female voice spoke out.
Jinnei though calmly said, "Oh, well, I intend to frame Fujisawa for stealing from finances and get him expelled... "
"I thought so, Katsuhiko," Nanami's voice shot out, making both boys shot up in surprised, as she looked fuming angry, "Brother, isn't it hard enough on you with you bribing your way into Student Council President, now you have to expel Daisuke-kun?"
"Stay out of this, Nanami," Jinnei, said.
"Actually, I agree with her," that same unknown voice spoke out.
This caught all three by surprise as they looked around. "Wait, who was that," Nanami asked as she looked around.
"You mean that wasn't you," Jinnei asked as he looked around as well, "Then who was that earlier?"
'It can't be,' Daisuke thought to himself as he recognized that voice.
And sure enough, he spotted the figure standing up on the roof of the entry to the stairwell. The figure was a feminine figure much of their age group, but with a slender athletic build, with D cup breasts, tight waist, lovely hips and slender thighs and legs. Fair complexion skin, with waist-length, long pink hair with straight bangs covering her forehead and a small red horn on the right side of her head. She had sharp, turquoise eyes with rings around the pupils and pinkish-red markings on the canthi. She wore black pantyhose with white boots ending above her ankles with black tips at the toes, a red skirt that went down to her greaves in diamond points, with the sides cut up to her thighs, and having a white belt around her. She seemed to wear a black skin-tight turtleneck shirt underneath, a she wore a Zoot-suit midriff jacket colored red with the shoulders white, a red hood down, and the coat held closed with a red gemstone on the left collar bone side, and the sleeves ending at her elbows with white trim, with the left sleeve having white bands on it, as she wore black fingerless arm sleeve gloves.
She smiled, as she waved, "Hey."
The three teens stared in surprise as the new girl before them. 'No way... is that,' Daisuke thought as he began to realize who the girl was.
"Another witness that I must-"
SMACK!
Before Jinnei could tie up the mysterious girl, Nanami smacked her brother on the head stopping him. "Uh... Hi," Nanami said waving back, "Are you a transfer student?"
"Akaoni," she smiled as she held up her right hand as she opened it, "My name is Akaoni. In your language, it literally means 'Red Oni'."
Nanami looked at the girl's horn, and then to her and the boys' surprise, a ball of crimson energy began to form roughly the size of a baseball. She paled as she gulped, "No way... then... that means you're..."
The ball suddenly burst into tinier ones as they all few about all around them, and froze in place like crimson stars glittering all around them. But Nanami was freaking out as she said, "YOU'RE... THAT DEMON BURIED UNDERNEATH THE SCHOOL!?"
Though Akaoni's sweet smile turned into one of fierce rage, as she shot out, "HEY, WHO ARE YOU CALLING A DEMON?!" But then stopped as she realized her temper got the better of her, as she calmed down, "Sorry, I just get upset when everyone calls me a monster." But then pondered to herself, "Though back then, everyone freaked out when they saw a girl flying around, with horns on her head, and able to smash holes in mountains. I guess that would make sense, but it's still hurtful."
"Holy crap, it is you," Daisuke explained in shock, "You're... dressed futuristic for someone who's been imprisoned for 800 years."
"I tried to copy the clothes I saw everyone else wearing while adding my own touch to it," Akaoni explained as she spun around showing her outfit, "What do you think?"
"Wait a minute! What's this going on about with Demons?! You're saying this she-thing came from the Jinnai Ruins," Jinnai shot out, pointing at Akaoni.
But Daisuke and Nanami sweatdropped, as they said in unison, "Nobody's calling it that."
"So you're Katsuhiko Jinnai, right," she said, as she looked at him, unfavorably.
"So, what if I am," Jinnai asked, not caring for the glare. "Good," Akaoni said, as she held her hands out. The spheres suddenly returned to her hands, as they each became a single ball. And once she squeezed them, the balls became schimitar-shaped energy blades, as she smiled, "Before I find my Darling, I owe Daisuke enough to beat the living daylights out of the megalomaniac that is named Jinnai."
"WHHHAAAAAAAA!?" All three teens exclaimed in horror as Jinnei grabbed Daisuke by the collar of his shirt and shook him. "Daisuke, what despicable lies have you told this demon girl about me," Jinnai demanded in to know in an angry and panicking tone of voice.
"Nothing! Just the parts about you rigging the election and planning to tie me up until after the hearing," Daisuke answered still shocked that Akaoni was planning to beat up Jinnai just from their talk.
"How dare you lie to her about me amazing character and give her a horrible impression of me," Jinnai shouted back in anger.
"But you actually did those things," Nanami replied back in a deadpan tone.
"Fair enough for me to do this," Akaoni said, as she suddenly flew upward, and dived at Daisuke and Jinnai as she attacked. Both ran out of there, as she smashed through, breaking the ground beneath them.
The two ran until she smashed in front of them, as she said, "You'll have to do better than this, Jinnai!"
The two teens continued to fall down the stairs until they reached the bottom of the staircase. "Well that hurt," Daisuke said out loud as he recovered from the impact.
"Here she comes," Jinnai exclaimed in horror as he saw her shadow coming down the stairs, "I have to run! No, hide! I have to run and hide! Daisuke, you know her, you stop her!"
She then cackled as she fired a barrage of blasts, as the two boys ran for it, as when they made impact, blowing up on such impact. He looked to him, as he said, "I sincerely doubt she can be reasoned like this!" But then he pulled Jinnai with him into a classroom, dropping from sight of the Demon Girl. Meanwhile, Nanami took the stairs as she could to find the two boys. Both boys heaved in relief, as Daisuke sighed, "I'm guessing she forgot I was in the crossfires." He then heaved, "Still, it may be brutal, but she's being sweet to stand up for me."
"I blame you for this, Fujisawa," Jinnai glared daggers at him, "Always, you're getting in the way of my superiority, and suddenly a demon comes to eliminate me."
"Hey, you brought this on your..." Daisuke said, but then gulped.
Jinnai blinked, as he looked worried, "What? What are you..."
"Jinnai..." Akaoni suddenly said, as he turned around... to see her as she was floating through the wall they were to the back to, as she smiled, her eyes glowing, "I found you."
"DEMON/AKAONI!" Both boys jumped up in horror as Akaoni passed though the wall as though she were a ghost.
Jinnai paled as she came close, only for Daisuke to step between them, as he said, "Wait, Akaoni. You don't have to go that far."
"But he was..." Akaoni asked, seemingly confused on this, as she suddenly teared up. "You don't want me to help?" She then sniffled, as she looked like she was about to cry, "Daisuke, why?"
At that moment, Nanami busted in, and then cried out, "Hey, what is that outside?!"
Both boys paled and sweatdropped, as they thought, 'Nanami, that's the oldest trick in the book...'
But then Akaoni stopped tearing up and saw it too, "Oh crap!" And grabbed Daisuke as she flew out of there with Nanami.
Jinnai blinked, until a dark shadow appeared behind him. He shrieked like a chicken, only for it to bust through, and fly past them. The scenario made the wimpy president faint just like that. It then crashed through the hallway, as it stopped in front of the trio, for them to see. It was a nine foot green and black mecha, with a smooth shaft dome head, hind legs with four claw-like toes, three mini wings on its back, and two clawed hands with powerful arms. The right arm folding out a cannon as it aimed at them.
Daisuke blinked, "What is that?"
"Space Pirate," Akaoni screamed out loud.
Both Earthling teens blinked at that as they said, "Space Pirate?"
Even Daisuke blinked, "I don't understand."
But then the robot aimed the cannon at them, as Nanami gulped, "Oh no."
"I think I'm starting to get it," Daisuke sweatdropped.
The robot walked towards them, slowly one by one, even as it seemed to focus on Akaoni. But then the pink-haired girl noticed a can at her feet, and then gently kicked it at the robot, just as it was near the stairwell. And once it stepped on it... it slipped as it tumbled and fell onto the stairwell. It then proceeded to fall down the stairs comically, as the three teens saw this, as they heard crashing until it finally hit the floor level. The three teens looked to each other, as Daisuke said, "Well, that was anti-climatic."
"Yeah, it was," Akaoni said. "Didn't think that would work so easily."
Though at the moment, Mr. Fujisawa ran into the scene, hysterically, as he said, "Son, Nanami! Oh man, I'm glad I found you guys! We gotta..." But then calmed a bit as he asked, "Who's this?"
The two teens and a started Akaoni looked in surprise, as Daisuke asked, "What's the problem, Dad?"
Outside
They had managed to get out, along with an unconscious Jinnai in tow, as they saw the school had been halfway been damaged and on fire. Fujisawa had explained that somehow the gas tanks had a leak, and somehow ignited by mistake. This caused them to simultaneously to blow up half the school. The teens looked to Akaoni, who seemed guilt-ridden as she figured her little rampage had caused the explosions.
"Well... I guess Jinnei won't be getting impeached tomorrow like he wanted," Daisuke said trying to make light of the situation.
"You're making jokes when a demon girl destroyed half the school and an alien ship came out of nowhere," Nanami exclaimed in panic, "It's almost like it's the end of the world!"
Fujisawa blinked, as he turned to the kids, "Demon Girl? Alien? What are you kids talking about?" Another explosion erupted, as they jumped and saw a section all too familiar to the Fujisawas. "Um, Son? Was that..." Fujisawa asked, making sure he knew that spot.
"Yeah, that's where we lived," Daisuke said, sweatdropping. But then he said, "If we can't stay in the building, and knowing the Jinnai residence might not be an option."
Fujisawa sighed, as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, "There's only one other place we can stay."
Later On
Sanada Residence
The Sanada Residence was a big house to say the least. Not a mansion, but big enough for a big family to stay in, though it was only father and daughter living there. They had been living there for seven years since MItsuki was ten and the two had moved in recently. At the moment, greeting the Fujisawas, Jinnais, and Akaoni at the door, was a man Fujisawa's age, lanky at best, dressed in a scientist getup, glasses, and had wild brown hair and a perplexed look on his face. This was Ken Sanada, the science teacher of Shinonomi High School as well as Mitsuki's father, of which Mitsuki wasn't present at the time.
"And that's why we'd like you to..." Mr. Fujisawa said, until he, his son, Akaoni, and Nanami all smiled and chimed together, "Put us up for the night."
Ken just sighed, "Oh boy."
Later
Living Room
After being allowed to stay, everyone went into the living room going over what happened. "So when Jinnai was trying to tie you up to avoid you testifying against him tomorrow, you hid in the ruins, met this Akaoni girl who was imprisoned, spoke with her, freed her, and then she went on a rampage out of anger towards Jinnai for his actions and then the spaceship appeared," Fujisawa summarized everything that Daisuke told him, "Does that sound about right?"
Daisuke nodded, as Akaoni scooted to Daisuke and seemed very happy to be near him, "That's about the gist of it." Nanami wasn't exactly too happy with Akaoni being so happy near Daisuke.
But then Sanada asked, "Okay, but why was she down there in the first place? And what was with the space ship?"
When they got the answer, both adults and conscious teens looked to Akaoni in surprise, "Outer Space?"
Akaoni nodded, as she explained, looking rather like a school girl, meeting her beloved's parents for the first time, "Yes. I ended up being imprisoned under that school for a couple of misunderstandings. My guess is when I was freed, whoever it was that imprisoned me had someone keep tabs on me. That's why the Space Pirate attacked."
Sanada thought on it as he nodded, "I guess that does make some sense. I don't even think Japan's made mech spacesuits like that at all. At least not yet."
"Oh you poor girl," Fujisawa, almost cried.
Though Daisuke sweatdropped as he asked, "You guys aren't believing this, already, do you?"
"You've been so traumatized from these events, you can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality," Fujisawa said, crying in sorrow for this girl.
The trio sweatdropped at this, as Sanada then said, "Well, we've got guest rooms, and you're free to use the kitchen and bathrooms. I'll let Mitsuki know when she gets back. If ever from her hour-long milk run."
"Mr. Sanada, you sure you're not even a little worried," Nanami asked him.
"If you've met and knew my daughter long enough, you'd know that I'd be more worried for the guys trying to make trouble with her," Sanada answered.
Nanami sweatdropped, as did Daisuke, as Akaoni looked confused, as the former said, "You have a point there."
"Well for now, I'll start getting the rooms ready," Ken said as he got up from his chair.
"I'll help you," Mr. Fujisawa replied, "And after that, I need a drink."
"Dad, wait it's school night," Daisuke exclaimed in panic as he didn't want his father having a hang over the next day, but then he recalled what happened, "Oh wait, we probably won't have school tomorrow."
"Don't forget to do you homework, son," Mr. Fujisawa told his son from the hallway making Daisuke cringe. "He gets to drink on a school night but I still have to do homework," Daisuke asked out loud.
Nanami then picked up Katsuhiro, as she said, "Well, as soon as I put this lump in bed, I'll get started on making some meals for the week."
"We won't be in school for the whole week," Daisuke said.
"Still, never hurts to be prepared," Nanami said, as she dragged the unconscious Jinnai behind her, making both him and Akaoni sweat drop.
Later On
Daisuke was in the guest room, doing his homework, while Akaoni was having a blast now that she was finally free. Though amazingly, to Daisuke, was the bed, as she had rolled all over it, giggling with delight on how soft, bouncy, and comfy it was. She then found an old game console as she was playing it nonstop, though it was a bit noisy and distracting.
But Daisuke managed to get it done in time, as he sighed, leaning back, "Well that was fun."
"Yes! I got the high score," Akaoni smiled, as she cheered. And did something odd that Daisuke never saw coming. She patted herself literally on the head, as she smiled, "yeah. I earned this."
"Are you patting yourself on the head," Daisuke asked.
"Yeah, I know it seems weird. But it was the only sign of affection I was ever given," she explained looking to him sadly.
But then Daisuke almost freaked out on that, as he asked, "You're kidding. You mean, nobody ever hugged you? Kissed you good night?"
"Not really, no," Akaoni said, as she explained. "The only one who ever did any of those things, except the kissing, was that boy I told you about." She then shot up as she realized, "Aaaah! I've been having so much fun, I forgot to look for him!"
"I doubt you'd find him tonight. Everyone is asleep," Daisuke told her, "If this friend was attending the school at the time, he probably graduated long ago."
"Then I'll just search all over the world looking for him," Akaoni declared boldly, "I know he's somewhere on this planet!"
"Easy, there may be an easy way to at least narrow it down," Daisuke said while stopping her from jumping out the window to begin her search, "If the student council room survived the blast, we may be able to look at the school records from past years. If we can find his entry, we can get his name which should make the search a little easier."
"I can't wait that long!" Akaoni said, her voice breaking up, as she shook, "It's been seven years. You honestly think someone would wait that long?" She then looked to him, startling him as her eyes watered, "I can't wait another second now that I'm free. I have to find him. Because... " she then slowly began to get weak in the knees, as she fell on them, "...I want to tell him finally..."
Daisuke then figured out why the girl was like this. She had been imprisoned long enough and wanted to find this boy. He knelt down and was to her eye to eye, as she wept, and apologized, "Sorry. I should have known this was important to you." He then gently reached out, and petted her on the head to help ease her out. But then she jolted a bit, as a flash of memory came to her.
The little boy had petted her gently. His hand felt very warm and loving to her in an instant, calming her down.
She then looked to Daisuke, almost in shock as she studied him, and whispered, "You..."
KNOCK KNOCK
Downstairs, Nanami went to the door, "I'll get it." She opened up as she smiled, "Mitsuki. Sorry for the surprise, but we're..." But then paled as she saw who it was.
It was the same armored individual, the armor a bit sooty, but still functional, as it looked to her. Nanami shivered as she paled in fright, and quickly closed the door, as she yelled out, "Akaoni! It's for you!"
"Who could it be at this time of night," Akaoni asked, as she and Daisuke walked down the stairs to the door, "Oh, is it my friend from back then?! Did he come to find me after I was set free," she asked with stars in her eyes.
"It would be way too big of a coincidence if it was him," Daisuke replied back in a deadpan tone.
"It's the space pirate," Nanami shouted in fear, "THEY FOUND US!"
Daisuke paled, but Akaoni fist punched her free hand, as she remembered, "Oh yeah. The Space Pirate."
"This is not the time to be forgetting important facts like this," Nanami shouted in fear Suddenly, the door went flying as the robot tried to enter the household much to Nanami and Daisuke's horror while Akaoni seemed unfazed. However, the robot was unable to fit into the doorway due to its size.
Nanami bolted up to the two, as she said, "We need to run. Now!"
"Right," Daisuke said as he grabbed both their hands, and ran, taking them with him. Though the scene made the two girls blush, as they were holding hands with him.
And oddly, the mecha seemed pissed, as it used its rockets to go after them, tearing the door open, and raced up the stairs, tearing up the place. During that time, Jinnai had bolted awake in fright as he looked around in an unforeseen place. Fujisawa and Sanada were playing cards, as they heard the rockets go off. Meanwhile, all three were racing away from the Mecha, as it chased them out a window. To which, Akaoni, grabbed their hands, and bolted out the window, flying with them in tow, as the Mecha shot out, destroying the wall, as it chased after them.
Though Daisuke and Nanami were freaking out. "I didn't expect this to happen tonight," Daisuke cried out.
"That makes two of us," Nanami cried out in fear.
"Make that three," Akaoni shouted in joy as she still felt happy to be free again, "I never thought I'd be free again!"
"You won't be free for long if that space pirate has anything to say about it," Nanami shouted trying to get Akaoni to focus on the current problem at hand, "How are we going to stop that thing!?"
"Well, I can't really do anything while I'm flying with you two," Akaoni explained.
"Sorry about that," Daisuke apologized. "We're slowing you down."
Akaoni smiled, "Oh it's okay. So long as you two are okay, I don't mind being slowed down." Though the Mecha seemed miffed at Daisuke and Akaoni happy to one another, and fired a barrage of missiles. "Oh boy."
And all three screamed as they managed to dodge it all. Until they crashed together on the front porch, as the trio were down. At the moment, the Mecha landed on the ground, and attempted to walk forward... only until the shrine priest had gone between them.
"I came looking for a demon, but instead I find this," he casually said.
Nanami blinked, "The priest?"
At that moment, the adults came out as Fujisawa called out, "What's going on?"
"Everyone, stand back," Masaki said, as he looked to the Mech, holding up a wooden sword. "I'll end this with one blow."
"He can't take that thing down with a wooden sword," Daisuke exclaimed at what he was seeing, "Besides, that's a space pirate, not a demon! He's going to get killed!"
However, his voice went down on deaf ears as the mech and the priest stood their ground, awaiting to make the first shot. But both charged at each other, and then finally showed each other's back as the first strike was made. It was silent and calm at the moment... until the Mech suddenly exploded into pieces, shocking everyone.
The old man turned to the scene as he said, "This opponent needs more training."
Daisuke and Nanami stared with their jaws dropped at what they just witnessed while Akaoni had stars in her eyes. "WOW! That was just like the game I was playing," Akaoni shouted in excitement, "One strike and the enemy was defeated! I didn't know Earthlings could do things like that!"
"That shouldn't have worked," Daisuke said while still staring in disbelief, "Just who is that guy?!"
"He said he was a priest," Nanami replied in equal shock, "But I thought priests used sounding staffs and sutras! Not wooden samurai swords!"
Fujisawa then blinked, as he and Sanada walked in, "Just what the heck is going on?"
"I think the so-called Space Pirate can answer that question," the Priest Masaki said, as he pointed to the smoke clearing up.
As it did, they heard female coughs as a figure was sitting on their butt, as the dust cleared away. It was Mitsuki Sanada, only she was wearing a skin-tight black suit of sorts, with purple sleeves and gray fingers and thumbs, grey shoulders, a daring V neckline pattern in white from her neck to belly button, purple on the outer thighs and hips, and she had a neck and ear guard of purple and gray, like a sexy space suit.
She stopped coughing as she glared at Akaoni, "It's time to surrender, Akaoni. This farce is over!"
Daisuke, Nanami, and Fujisawa's jaws dropped and eyes bulged at Mitsuki being the pilot. "Mitsuki," the three earthlings shouted in shock.
"You're the space pilot," Daisuke asked in shock.
"You're an extraterrestrial," Nanami asked in equal shock.
"You helped blow up the school," Fujisawa asked as that attacked cost him his home.
"You all know her," Akaoni asked in surprise as her new friends somehow knew the space pirate before them.
"She's Mitsuki Sanada! Ken's daughter," Daisuke told her, "The guy who's letting us stay at his place! Mitsuki, what the hell are you doing blowing up your own home?!"
"And might I add piloting a GP Spartan Class Mech, young lady," her father said, as his arms crossed, scolding her. "What have I told you about raiding the armory?"
"I'm sorry dad, but this is important," Mitsuki said before glaring at Akaoni, "I had to capture the demon before she could escape!"
Daisuke then stepped up and asked, Okay, what is going on? First you guys say she's a demon, then she says she's from outer space, and now you're going around in a mecha suit, blowing up everything, and..." but then blushed, as he looked away, "I'm sorry. I can't look at you while you're wearing that getup."
Mitsuki blinked, and looked down at herself, and realized the outfit was very tight fitting, as she screamed, covering herself, "AAAAH! Don't look, and don't shame me! This is a standard GP battle suit!"
"Still in the experimental stages though," Sanada said, clarifying.
"I'm sorry, but I'm confused as well," Fujisawa said, and asked, "What's a GP?"
"GP stands for Galaxy Police," Sanada explained, as he went on, "You know how everyone thinks there's no life beyond Earth? Well, there is. A vast universe or galaxies of worlds teeming with life. And in those galaxies are three powers. The Jurai Royal Empire, the Galaxy Military, and the Galaxy Police. The Galaxy Police are an intergalactic law enforcement agency. Their duties pertain to giving criminals danger levels, as well as capturing said criminals. A primary duty of the GP is to protect and facilitate commerce in the Galaxy Federation by protecting ships delivering commodities from roving space pirates." He then smirked, "Of which I'm a Forensic Scientific Officer of them." But then shrugged, "Though due to being short-handed with the rise of many of Space Pirates these days, they had me stationed here to monitor one of our longest criminals imprisoned here on Earth."
"Of which why I suited up in the first place," Mitsuki shot out, as she tried to change the subject, "Because the prison went off when Akaoni got freed."
"No, they're lying," Akaoni panicked, as she held onto Daisuke's arm, pleading to him and Nanami, "Do I look like a felon?"
"You did say you were imprisoned for certain reasons," Daisuke said as he recalled her words from when they talked before in the ruins, "But hang on, isn't Earth a little out of this Galactic Police's jurisdiction?"
"Yeah, in truth, Earth in the Juraian Empire's view is... mostly harmless," Sanada explained, as Mitsuki got up, as he stated, "But since this world somehow ends up with alien tech, there's only a few officers here to find them."
Akaoni then said, "Well, where's your proof about me being a pirate?"
"Right here," Mitsuki said, as she pulled out a pen. Everyone was confused on this, as she clicked on it, as a small screen appeared on the side, as it showed a holographic ID of Mitsuki as she said, "Here's my ID."
Nanami looked at it as she read it out, "Mitsuki Sanada. Galaxy Police... cadet?"
Everyone, minus her father and Mitsuki, all asked, "Cadet?"
To which Mitsuki flinched in shock at this reveal. Fujisawa then pointed to her while looking at her father, "Wait, I thought you said you both were part of this GP?"
Sanada merely smirked, "Oh, I am. No doubt. But Mitsuki still has a year in the academy before she can ever uphold the Galactic Law." Mitsuki groaned in defeat, as he said, "Yep, she's not an official officer."
"Doesn't that mean Mitsuki used Galactic Police gear without authorization," Nanami asked, "Which would make her the criminal here?!"
"I told you, it was for a good reason due to the escape criminal Akaoni escaping her prison," Mitsuki declared before turning her attention back at Anaoki who was still holding Daisuke's arm, "Get away from him before you make Daisuke a criminal as well!"
"Hold on, Mitsuki. You still haven't answered the question as to what Akaoni did to be imprisoned," Daisuke said as he defended his new friend.
"You're going to defend this criminal," Mitsuki asked in shock at her friend siding with the demon.
"I'm simply trying to understand both sides," Daisuke replied in his defense, "If I believe everything one side says without listening to the other, I could end up helping the wrong side."
"And you did attack us with stolen tech, so that doesn't help," Nanami added to her reasons to being hesitant to trust Mitsuki right now.
Sanada then pulled out his badge, as it displayed his ID, "Well, to showcase, here's my ID." But then switched over to Akaoni and a wanted poster, "And here's Akaoni's wanted poster. It's a bit old, about almost a 1,000 years, but it's still viable until the statue of limitations expire on a time limit on her warrant."
Nanami and Daisuke looked it over and it said: WANTED FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF MULTIPLE WORLDS, MILITARY INSTALLATIONS AND RUMORED FOR MURDER OF JURAIN ROYAL FAMILY MEMBERS.
This revelation shook Daisuke and Nanami to their core as they looked at the wanted poste along with her crimes. Destroying multiple worlds and murdering the royal family? This girl? Daisuke looked at Anaoki who was looking guilty, "Akaoni... are these the 'little things' you were imprisoned for," he asked her, "If so, how can you consider murder a 'little thing'?!"
Akaoni's face was covered in shadows, as she began to chuckle. Her shoulders heaved up and down, as her chuckling got bigger. And then she shot out laughing hysterically, her arms out as her fanged teeth showed, laughing like a maniacal villain. She then smirked at them all, as she said, "Yeah, that's right. I was known as the Space Pirate Akaoni, the Red Demon. Almost as feared as Ryoko the Demon Caller. I killed a Jurian Prince in battle and for that, I was imprisoned on this Monkey-infested dirt ball of a Hell you call a planet." She then looked to Mitsuki, as she asked, "So, little Rookie, what are you gonna do about it?"
Mitsuki then pulled out a big powerful alien assault rifle, as she said, "I plan to bring you in!"
Everyone jumped back, even as Fujisawa gulped, "That doesn't look safe!"
Akaoni chuckled as she smirked, "Think you got the balls to shoot, little girl? Or are you doing your best to impress Daisuke there?"
This caused Mitsuki to blush before glaring at Akaoni. "Don't try to change the subject! You can't escape justice," Mitsuki declared, "Release and step away from Daisuke and Nanami immediately or I will shoot!"
"Hang on! Aren't police, even space ones supposed to ensure the safety of the public before firing," Fujisawa exclaimed for fear of his son, "Ken! Why aren't you doing anything to stop her?!"
"You honestly think I could stop her," Ken asked, rather calmly. "Once Mitsuki's mind is made up, there's no stopping her."
However, before MItsuki could fire her gun, Akaoni shot up to her, snatching the rifle in hand, making Mitsuki jump in fright. But then Akaoni suddenly bent the gun to break with both hands, like snapping a branch, as she smiled, "As that boy I met seven years ago once said, 'I hope you got jelly on you, because you're toast'." she said, as she brought out her engery swords.
Suddenly, Daisuke and Nanami grabbed MItsuki and bolted back to the house. Akaoni chased after them, as she cried out a battle cry, as the two fathers just watched. But the Priest, who had destroyed the armor, simply walked off, "Well, this was a fun night. But I'm sure this will resolve itself." And was off.
Inside, the trio were running away from the charging Akaoni as she was relentless. Daisuke looked to Mitsuki as he asked, "You got anything else but that rifle? I mean, you did have a mech suit with you."
"I'm not sure, I..." Mitsuki said as she looked behind her. Akaoni looked like a maniacal demon as she cackled madly after them. "Forget it! I need time to find anything!"
"Some officer of the law you turned out to be," Nanami shot back.
"Technically, she's a cadet," Daisuke corrected.
"THIS IS NOT HELPING," Nanami screamed in anger as the three continued to run.
They all then saw the same window, as Daisuke said, "This is deja vu." And then all three jumped down, managing to use the rooftop to soften their fall, as they landed, but Nanami slipped.
"Nanami," Daisuke shouted as he tried to help her up, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I just need a minute," Nanami said weakly as she tried to get over the shock of the impact.
"We don't have a minute," Mitsuki exclaimed as she got back on her feet quickly.
Suddenly, Akaoni jump ported to them, as she smiled, her blades glowing crimson, while electricity sparked all over her, as she seemed powered up. "Nice run, but the chase is done," she smirked, "It's time to..." But then she gasped as she saw Daisuke get in between them all, as she shielded the girls.
"Akaoni, I don't know the circumstances of why you committed those crimes, but I'm not about to let you hurt Nanami, Mitsuki, or anyone else," Daisuke declared firmly, "I also don't know about this friend you made ten years ago, but I don't think he'd want you to go around hurting people like this!" Akaoni stared at Daisuke for a moment sternly like a lion staring at a mouse ready to fight for its life. Something about him made her heart skip a beat as she stared at him.
Akaoni sighed, as she landed, depowering as the electricity stopped and her swords put away, as she smiled, shrugging, "Jeez, you've always been so serious. When did you suddenly get so stiff..." and then smiled, as she finished, "Darling?"
Daisuke blinked, as he remembered, "Darling?"
From back then, he remembered a red-skinned horned girl, who seemed confused on the word as the ten-year-old Daisuke told her it. "Yeah, it's what you call someone you like or love dearly," Daisuke explained to her.
"Da-ling," she tried to say it out, but then got better at it, "Darling? Darling!" she smiled, and then jumped at him, hugging him smiling, "Darling Daisuke!"
"Very good," he smiled, and gently patted and rubbed her head, making her smile in delight. "You really are addicted to these aren't you?"
She cooed out, "Yeah, Darling. I earned this."
Then Daisuke blinked, looking at her, and then pictured the red-skinned girl, as he pointed to her, "Wait... you're..."
"Darling?" both Nanami and Mitsuki heard that, both looking shocked and fuming at this knowledge.
Though Akaoni smiled, "Yep, Daisuke is my long-lost darling."
"WHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTT!?" Nanami and Mitsuki screamed into the night causing alley cats to jump in shock.
Suddenly, Nanami grabbed Daisuke by his shirt collar and shook him violently. "Daisuke, explain this right now," Nanami declared in anger, "How can she be your darling if she's been imprisoned all this time! You better be straight with me!"
"Easy, Nanami! I can explain! Just stop shaking me, please," Daisuke asked as he was shook but his request when unheard at Nanami continued to glare at him with jealousy in her eyes.
Though Mitsuki was still in shock, all three heard Akaoni whistle loudly to get their attention, just as the two dads ran the corner, as she smiled, "But, before that... MItsuki... weren't you gonna arrest me?"
Hearing that, Mitsuki snapped out of her surprise. "Yes! Of course I am," she quickly said as she pulled out her Galactic Police badge along with Akaoni's arrest warrant, "Akaoni, on the charges of murder, property damage, and multiple destroyed planets. You have the right to remain-" Before Daisuke could protest, a notification popped up on Akaoni's arrest warrant.
"Now what," Daisuke asked in surprise.
Sanada looked at it, as he said, "Hmmm, it seems that the statue of limitations on Akaoni's warrant is about to expire in... 20 seconds."
Suddenly, Mitsuki's copy of the warrant was destroyed, by a well-aimed blast from Akaoni, as she said, "Please continue, MItsuki. I'm sure as a cadet, you know the rights by heart."
"I, Galactic Patrol Cadet Mitsuki Sanada, hereby place you under arrest," Mitsuki started to quickly finish saying Akaoni's rights before the twenty seconds were up, "You have the right to remain silent! Anyting you say will be recorded and use-"
Ping
Suddenly, Akaoni's arrest warrant was fully gone and was now considered expired. Mitsuki's face vaulted and her right eye began to twitch from the stress she was feeling as she had just missed her chance to arrest Akaoni by just a few seconds.
Sanada shrugged, "Well, I guess we're no longer needed here." Akaoni smiled, as she chimed, "Well, if my warrant is expired, and I'm a free lady now, it means I can stay with Daisuke Darling."
Nanami shot out, "You're gonna do what?"
Daisuke blushed as he said, "Um, you sure you're okay with that, Akaoni?"
She smiled to him, as she looked happy, "Of course." She then looked rather charming as she bowed on her knees, folding her hands in front, as she said, "In short, I Akaoni, have made the decision to become your bride." ...
...
...
...
...
"BRIDE?!" everyone shouted in surprise.
Akaoni smiled, not understanding, as she said, "That's right, I vowed not to leave Daisuke Darling's side when we were ten when I was freed. And now that I am, I can be his wife."
"Oh yeah... I do kind of remember that from when we were kids," Daisuke said while looking away and embarrassed while remembering that he promised to be her darling when they were kids, "But isn't it a little early to be talking about marriage? I mean, I'm still in high school and-"
"I refuse to accept this," Mitsuki declared loudly, "Even if I can't arrest you with your old warrant, I won't allow you turn Daisuke into a criminal!"
"What she said," Nanami added in anger, "Besides! He's too young to get married now! Right Mr. Fujisawa?!" Nanami looked towards Mr. Fujisawa who had caught up along with Sanada. But much to her surprise, he was crying.
"At long last... my son has a girlfriend," Mr. Fujisawa exclaimed in joy, "I thought this day would never come!"
"They're not dating," Nanami and Mitsuki declared loudly in anger.
"DAISUKE FUJISAWAAAAAAAAAAAA!" a familiar screechy voice shrieked out as they all looked to the front, and saw Jinnai standing there, looking haggard and crazed, "I'm not going to allow even an iota of happiness to spread in your life! I don't understand the technology, but a few things were easy enough to understand."
Sanada paled, as he asked, "What are you planning with that, Katsuhiro?"
"It's a device in the basement with a whole lot of tech in there," Jinnai explained. "But I found an odd-looking device that could possibly blow you up, Fujisawa! Your ass is mine, Daisuke!"
And then was about to press the button. But Sanada said, "Don't do that! If the device I think you're talking about is what I think it is, it'll take the entire house! Including you!"
"Your cowardly warnings and holding yourself back don't mean squat to a man of greatness," Jinnai said, not caring of the consequences. "I AM A MAN THAT IS WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR GREATNESS! PS: DAisuke, your ass is grass!" And then pushed the button.
Sanada ran to Jinnai to try and stop him, but it was too late. Suddenly a huge humming was heard as it began to grow louder and louder from the house. And suddenly, all time seemed to stop as the world around them slowed down. And then suddenly, a blast wave of light erupted from the house, as it swallowed them all. The light then shot up towards the skies as suddenly, it left the earth.
And in the spot of the Sanada home... was a big crater with nothing left of the estate and property.
