Within the Digital World and within the central headquarters of the Digital Defense Force, the Provisional Council had reconvened for an emergency session, with the primary topic being, as the five Davises predicted, the fact that the Veil around Nexus was lifted and that the Dark Imperium was, in the minds of many upon the council, once again a threat to the Digital World and the worlds allied with it.

Remaining quiet for a moment, Sampson, Gennai, Yamaki and Hashima listened as three members of the council, each of whom were close allies of Richard Carson, played on the other council members' fear, telling them that this entire endeavour was all a ruse by the Dark Empress to gain more power for herself and her empire, along with dark and powerful new allies so that she could crush the DDF and its allied worlds once and for all.

The trio of corrupt council members even used Carson's own fate as an example of the evils the Dark Empress must have planned for them as everyone in the chamber remembered the condition the former member of their council was in when Dark Davis returned him to the DDF forces in Nexus, a broken shell of a man that remained in a comatose state, one that even the slightest breeze would cause him to scream until he died of fear, only for the seal to revive him a moment later, this leaving many upon the council fearful of what tortures Carson endured at the hands of the Shadow.

"We shouldn't act in haste, the Dark Imperium has not…" Sampson began to say as he hoped to alleviate the council's fears and remind them that the war was effectively over.

"We cannot let the Dark Imperium act before we are ready, we must launch a preemptive strike!" One of the corrupt council members declared as he cut Sampson off, a part of him mentally grinning at the idea of continuing the war and the profits he and his allies would make in secret.

"Indeed. We need to mobilize our forces in Nexus and strike at the Dark Empress before she can react." Another of the trio of corrupt council members said, looking upon the files he had before him as he then suggested. "We also need a quick change of command, as Commander Takaishi and the rest of the commanders are clearly compromised and ineffective at leading the DDF toward victory."

As many amongst the council began to talk to one another, some unsure if removing the Digi-heroes from command was a wise decision, while others seemed to back it, Sampson, Gennai, Yamaki and Hashima remained silent as they held back their smirks, each silently glad they were one step ahead of this failure of a council.

At the next moment, the talking within the council chamber stopped when the main doors to the chamber opened, where the Provisional Council looked to see TK, MagnaAngemon, Michael, Betamon and over a dozen DDF soldiers entering the room, the DDF Commander holding a serious expression upon his face.

Shaking his head in annoyance, the corrupt council member looking over his notes started to tell TK in a frustrated tone. "We have not summoned you, Commander Takaishi, we are in the middle of…"

"You are in the middle of nothing!" TK snapped back as he cut the council member off, who looked upon him with a glare, before his eyes widened as the Commander of the DDF then announced with authority. "This council is disbanded and you are all stripped of your powers and authority!"

As shock and disbelief filled most members upon the council, the third member of the corrupted council members quickly rose to his feet and yelled with pure rage in his voice. "Who the hell do you think you are?! Guards, remove him!"

About to follow orders, the black suit security of the council chamber then stopped when the DDF soldiers pointed their guns toward them, this only adding to the shock and disbelief of the Provisional Council as another member all but screamed. "This is a coup!"

"No, this is not." TK merely said as he brought his right hand up and activated a holoprojector he had within his possession, one that brought forth an enhanced image of a signed document.

"This is an executive order for the disbandment of the Provisional Council, signed by the World Leaders, as well as members of this very council." The Digidestined of Hope told the rest of the council, furthering the shock of the corrupted members as they looked upon the signed document, before their eyes widened as they recognized four names.

Turning to face Sampson, Gennai, Yamaki and Hashima, one of the corrupted council members all but screamed in rage. "What the hell have you done?!"

"What was necessary to end this madness once and for all." Gennai said in reply as he kept his gaze upon the corrupted member of the council, who with the rest of the group continued to hold expressions of shock and disbelief to find their power and authority now stripped from them.

Deactivating the hologram and putting the projector away, TK then looked toward the trio who were Carson's allies and told them with a further authority. "Furthermore, I hereby place the three of you under arrest."

As two of the corrupted council members looked upon TK in shock, the third glared at the Digidestined of Hope and said with a growing sneer. "You have nothing to justify…"

"I have enough to shoot you dead right now and it would be legal!" TK snapped as he interrupted the council member, the Digidestined of Hope mentally thanking Water Davis for easily hacking into the corrupted council members' computers and downloading all the information about their illegal activities.

Seeing the horror upon the council member's face toward his remark, TK merely grinned as he told the trio of corrupted officials. "But I would rather watch the three of you rot in a cell for the rest of your lives."

As TK signalled with his hands, several of the DDF soldiers quickly moved toward the corrupted council members, who struggled against the armed soldiers as handcuffs were placed around their wrists.

Still struggling as two soldiers held him by his shoulders, one of the corrupted council members looked toward TK and yelled at him with a growing rage. "You're making a mistake, we have powerful friends…!"

"Who are also being arrested as we speak." TK informed the council member as he cut him off mid-sentence, his works a further shock to the corrupt trio as the soldiers began to move them toward the exit of the chamber.

"You'll regret this! Good luck funding the DDF without us!" The third member of the corrupted trio bellowed in rage.

"That won't be necessary, the DDF has been disbanded as well." TK told the corrupted trio of officials, his words causing not only the three former allies of Carson to look at him in shock and horror, but for the rest of the council, with the exception of Sampson, Gennai, Yamaki and Hashima, to also look upon him with horror.

"Our Appmon allies and our allies from the artificial Digital World are returning to their homes, the D-Brigade is being given enough funding for the next six months as they transition into a police force for Miracle's Stand, the Medamon are being given the choice to stay here or travel the Multiverse and our soldiers are returning home as the DDF is being restructured back into its original purpose to help and aid newer Digidestined and Tamers." The Digidestined of Hope informed the rest of the Council as TK smiled to himself, happy to see things slowly returning to normal in their own ways.

"You'll leave us defenseless! The Dark Imperium…!" One of the more paranoid members of the council began to yell, but stopped himself as he saw the way TK glared at him.

"The war is over, get that through your thick skulls. The Dark Imperium is no longer our enemy and we will not allow your paranoia and warmongering to put more lives in jeopardy." The DDF Commander said with a firm seriousness within his voice, while mentally grateful for the pep talk the five Davises had given him, if that is what he really wanted to call it.

Still in disbelief over what was happening, to the Provisional Council's dissolvement and that of the DDF, another council member began to question with her own concerns. "But, the Dark Empress…?"

Finding herself going quiet as TK turned her gaze upon her, the council member gulped a little as the DDF Commander told her, along with the rest of the council with a continued seriousness. "Her fate is no longer any of your concerns. Now, leave this room, this building, or I will have security remove you."

Still shellshocked by the events that had transpired, the majority of the council did as TK ordered and left the chamber, the corrupted trio still screaming and yelling as the soldiers escorted them to the prison section of the building, leaving TK, MagnaAngemon, Michael and Betamon along with Sampson, Gennai, Yamaki and Hashima.

"I think this is the first time in my life I am grateful to have been fired." Hashima confessed with a soft sigh, this causing those around him to chuckle a little, before the mood returned to one of great seriousness.

"What is happening with Kari?" Yamaki found he had to ask, especially toward the way TK, Michael and their Digimon partners looked upon one another.

"We need to get back to Nexus, now." TK merely said in reply, his tone informing the four former council members that whatever was happening, it was not what anyone had hoped for.

Within the hallways of the central Spire of the Infinite City, Kari found herself being escorted by a pair of attendants, while the Dark Empress had a pair of energy cuffs binding her arms in front of her.

Despite her overwhelming power, which had increased tenfold after absorbing the Obscarian energies from the Veil, a power she could easily use to break her bindings, the Dark Empress allowed herself to remain as she was and accepted whatever fate had in store for her.

No matter how anyone would try to justify it, the facts could not be overlooked, that Kari had willingly helped the Urgothians and her actions had brought about the deaths of many because of her selfishness.

Despite the protests of her beloveds, Kari was tired of running from her sins and knew it was time to face judgement, a judgement that would be presented to her in the form of the most unbiased within Nexus, the Council of Arbitration.

As she walked alongside the attendants as they began to climb the stairs toward her trial, Kari smiled to herself as she thought of her time here upon Nexus, of how she got to be reunited with her beloveds and of the time she got to spend with them, grateful that she was able to finally tell them of her love for them and of the time, although brief, that she got to share with them.

Perhaps if she had just trusted the rulers of Nexus, things might have turned out differently, but Kari knew that that time had passed, and now she would face her fate with a clear consciousness.

Arriving at a large pair of doors, Kari waited as the doorway opened, revealing the top of the spire and a large gathering before her, one consisting of her beloveds, the other Digi-heroes and heroines, as well as the allies they had met and made friends with along her journey upon this world.

Sampson, Gennai, Yamaki and Hashima were also present as they stood by TK and Tai, all of whom looked upon her with solemn expressions, each unsure how they could help the former Digidestined of Light in this dire situation.

As the attendants escorted her down the centre path between the gathered group, Kari saw that both Noctus and Azara were in attendance as well, along with Azaghast, Ainz, Hades, Ravage and Vaddik, where the Dark Empress sent them a polite nod, silently thanking them for their trust and aid during her time upon Nexus, even if she had failed their expectations.

Continuing to walk down the aisle, Kari saw Gatomon looking upon her with dread and concern for her partner as she held the brunette's gauntlet, Faustian's gem glowing softly upon it as Kari smiled solemnly, hoping that her partners would both find someone worthy of their loyalty and friendship when she was gone, while the Dark Empress smile grew as Veemon placed a comforting hand upon Gatomon's back.

As they watched Kari approach the main platform and toward the Council of Arbitration, each of the five Davises were stuck between their desires to save Kari from whatever fate may befall her and their duties to their Realms as Dark Davis were inches away from launching his own rescue, it not been for the Dark Council ordering him to stay his hand.

Meanwhile, those amongst the Digi-heroes and heroines also found themselves conflicted, even Suzie, who once dreamt of the day that Kari would face justice for her crimes, no longer wishing such a fate upon the former Digidestined of Light.

As her beloveds, friends and allies watched her arrive upon the central platform, Kari saw eight pillars around the area, five with the different symbols of the Realms of Nexus upon them, while three stood closer within the circle, each with a being resting upon them.

Taking a closer look upon the beings, the Council of Arbitration, Kari saw that the trio were made entirely out of cosmic energy, each resembled a humanoid figure clad in golden robes and hoods that only showed the beings glowing eyes, eyes that held a great power and vast wisdom behind them.

"We gather here for the last judgement of this Council, the trial of the Dark Empress, Kari Kamiya." One of the council members declared, his voice ancient and wise as he knew that with the Veil now lifted, his purpose and that of his colleagues would no longer be needed, where they would return to the Mana flows of Nexus after this judgement and until their services would be needed again.

"I will accept whatever judgement this Council deems appropriate." Kari merely said with a soft smile, the Dark Empress tired of running from her mistakes, while the five Davises felt their own desperations growing as Water Davis tried to mentally formulate a result where Kari would come out of this situation alright and would be safe.

"However, no true judgement can come to pass without compassion and understanding." Another member of the Council of Arbitration, one with a feminine voice, then said, looking upon her fellow council members as she went on and told the Dark Empress. "Your actions were caused by love and desperation, caused by the secrecy and actions taken by us and the rulers of this world so that this world and the Multiverse could survive Urgoth's fury."

Shaking her head as a small smile formed upon her face, Kari told the Council with her own conviction. "Your actions saved not only the Multiverse, but my beloveds as well. You gave them a second chance and for that I am eternally grateful. My actions are my own."

Mentally seething to the fact that Kari just missed an opportunity to get out of this, Dark Davis continued to watch with a growing desperation as the trial continued, where the third member of the Council of Arbitration then asked with his own authoritative voice. "So be it, is there anyone who wishes to speak on behalf of the defendant before we make our judgement?"

Before anyone could speak, especially the five Davises, who desperately wanted to plead for Kari's life, the five pillars around the Council of Arbitration began to glow, before the projected images of the five rulers of Nexus appeared around the platform, their presence causing those of Nexus to bow with respect to their leaders.

"We desire to speak." The Water Emperor stated, before he looked upon his fiery counterpart and signalled for him to continue.

Looking upon Kari and the Council of Arbitration, the Fire Emperor then said with a firm seriousness within his voice. "Long ago, this council made a decision in order to keep the peace and stability of this world, a decision that has benefited Nexus greatly. It is our belief that this decision would also serve as the appropriate punishment in this trial."

Upon hearing the Fire Emperor's words, Kari's eyes widened in shock as realization hit her, the Dark Empress looking upon the five rulers of Nexus with tears and hope within her eyes as the Dark Emperor nodded to her in a silent reply.

At the same time, the five Davises were equally shocked as they too realized the meaning behind the Fire Emperor's words, and what it would mean for them.

"Um, what's going on?" Kazu questioned silently as many present for the trial seemed confused, before some looked upon Noctus as the Eternal Lord chuckled a little and commented with an amused tone. "So, this is what they have been planning all this time, interesting."

"So be it." The lead member of the Council of Arbitration declared, before he looked upon the Dark Empress and asked with an authoritative tone. "Do you, Kari Kamiya, accept this decision?"

"Yes! I accept it!" Kari all but screamed in joy as tears continued to trail down her cheeks and a big smile graced her face, her reaction leading some of the Digi-heroes and heroines to believe that the brunette had finally snapped and lost her mind.

"So be it, let the Judgement of this Council commence, and for a new eternity to begin!" The female member of the Council of Arbitration declared as all three members of the council brought their hands up and a blinding beam of light then came down upon Kari, who kept her smile, closed her eyes and allowed the light to then consume her.

Watching from their positions, many amongst the group of Digi-heroes and heroines present for the trial felt a great sadness as they believed that Kari was now gone forever, a bitter ending to the long journey they had all endured over the past five years.

However, that sadness quickly turned into confusion as the beam of light then split into five beams, one red, one dark purple, one blue, one green and one gold as they began to move toward the pillars of the five Realms.

Upon seeing this, the five Davises then moved, no one stopping them as the champions jumped into the light pillars of their respective realms, before the light pillars faded away.

When the light faded, everyone looked to see the five Davises before them, each on one knee, each with solemn expressions upon their faces.

Each holding an identical copy of Kari Kamiya within their arms.

"WHAT?!" Many amongst the group present yelled with tones of confusion and shock upon seeing that there were now five Kari Kamiyas, each seemingly looking to be in states of unconsciousness as they rested within the arms of the five Davises, each wearing robes matching the different colours of the Realms of Nexus.

"And so, it has come to pass." Faustian remarked from his gem as Gatomon and Veemon continued to look upon the sight of five Karis with awe and a further bewilderment.

"This is what happened to Davis!" Cody remarked as realization hit him, that Kari has undergone the same process Davis did upon arriving within Nexus, with there now being one Kari for each of the five Realms.

Watching as the members of the Council of Arbitration faded away, along with the imagery of the rulers of Nexus, Hashima found himself greatly confused and was about to question how this served as a punishment.

"The Dark Empress as we knew her is gone, and these five now have their own lives to live, free of her burdens." Gennai said in response to Hashima's confusion and to his unasked question, who wisely remained quiet and continued to look upon the five Davises and five Karis in awe.

Amongst those of the Digital World, shock, awe and most of all, happiness filled the heroes, heroines and those close to Kari and Davis, knowing now that they would finally have the happiness they sought for so long ago.

Letting out a small sigh, Julie moved her head between Sora and Rika, who watched the site with a great joy as the silver haired champion whispered to them with a growing amusement. "Looks like she won't be needing our help anymore in pleasing them."

As Julie moved back, it took a moment before her words reach Sora and Rika's brains, before their eyes widened to the realization that with five Karis now in existence, there wouldn't be any more "special" nights with the five Davises, this causing the pair to expel screams of terror and disbelief.

"Um, what's going on there?" Tai questioned as Sora and Rika hugged each other and began to cry badly, which reminded the Digidestined of Courage of when they all picked up Sora, Yolei and their Digimon partners from Russia back during the incident with Oikawa.

"Don't ask." Zoe remarked as she, Mimi, Yoshi and their Digimon partners, along with Biyomon, just looked upon the crying pair with a shared sense of annoyance and a small sympathy toward their loss.

"Oh, Rika…" Ravana merely said with her own sigh toward her partner's behaviour, shaking her head as she knew of Rika's actions when it came to the five champions.

Ignoring everything else around them, the five Davises merely looked upon each variant of their beloved within their arms, grateful for the third chance they had all been given.

Expelling a soft moan as consciousness returned to her, Kari slowly opened her eyes and took in her surroundings.

Examining the area, Kari now found herself lying upon a bed within one of the rooms within the Spire, before she noticed Fire Davis was looking down upon her with a soft smile, one she found endearing and caused her to smile back with her own love.

Despite the loving sight of her fiery beloved, however, Kari then realized that something was amiss, mostly with herself.

Kari felt that her powers had not only decreased, but she also felt that her power was at the same level as it was before she took the energy from the Veil and seemed to have changed as well.

Curious, Kari brought her right hand up and concentrated her energies, her eyes widening in surprise as a flame formed within her palm, this confirming what the former Digidestined of Light had hoped for came to pass.

"It worked…" Kari, or Fire Kari as she would be known, then said in awe as she felt her knew fiery powers now coursing through her, while the brunette knew that there were now four other versions of herself now in existence and that her beloveds would now never be alone again.

Watching as Fire Davis placed his hand upon her own as she extinguished her flame, Fire Kari looked upon her beloved with a loving smile, which Fire Davis reflected as he smiled upon her with hope and concern within his eyes as he looked into her now glowing red eyes.

"When you first came to Nexus, when I made the offer to save you and for you to have a life here with me and the others, I never expected things to turn out this way, nor did I want to lose you again." The Fire Champion confessed as he kept a firm hold over Fire Kari's hand, closing his eyes for a moment as he pushed back the fears he held merely a few hours earlier when he thought he would lose the love of his life once again, and this time for good.

Feeling a hand rest gently upon his cheek, however, Fire Davis looked into Fire Kari's loving eyes as the fiery variant of the Kamiya told him with pure love in her voice. "You will never lose me again, my love. We will never be apart again. I love you, and I will spend eternity by your side."

Smiling in response toward Fire Kari's love, Fire Davis closed the gap between them and claimed her lips in a deep and passionate kiss, one Fire Kari happily melted into as she felt pure joy to the idea that she and her beloved would finally be together as she felt pure happiness for the first time since she found Davis once again.

Breaking from their kiss after a few moments for air, Fire Kari smiled at her lover, before she told him with a firm sincerity. "I want to meet them. I want to meet the other Karis."

Smiling back upon his lover and nodding in agreement, Fire Davis then helped Fire Kari to her feet, the pair exiting the room for another life changing meeting for the former Digidestined of Light.

.

.

.

Meanwhile and slowly opening her eyes, Kari gained a soft smile upon seeing Dark Davis sitting within a chair and sitting by her side, his face mask removed as the Shadow looked down upon the brunette as she rested within her bed.

Looking around briefly, the Dark Empress saw her gauntlet, the one containing Faustian's gem, resting upon a nightstand near her bed, before Kari then noticed that her power had returned to the levels it was at before absorbing the energies of the Veil.

"I don't feel any different." The Dark Empress remarked as she brought her hand up and examined it.

"I would think out of the five of you, you wouldn't feel any different." Dark Davis said in reply, his words causing Kari's eyes to widen as she quickly sat up within the bed with a growing smile.

"It worked?!" Kari, or rather, Dark Kari then questioned with hope and joy within her tone, which only grew as the Shadow nodded his head in reply.

Looking upon her beloved's face, however, Dark Kari became confused when she saw Dark Davis frown a little and look away from her, before the Shadow spoke with an honesty within his tone. "Kari… when I heard that you were alive, of you becoming the Dark Empress because of your feelings for me… I was ecstatic, I felt vindicated from all the suffering, pain and torment I have endured over my years as a Digidestined and my confinement here within Nexus. I was even ecstatic when we found out that it was by my hands that you could be saved."

"But… I never wanted you to be damned like I am, to be forced to rule from the shadows and never see the light again." Dark Davis then confessed, before Dark Kari placed a soft and comforting hand upon his cheek.

"An eternity damned with you is better than a lifetime without you, my love. I love you and I will walk this dark path by your side forevermore." The dark variant of Kari told her beloved with a deep love and an endearing smile, before she leaned her head forward and captured Dark Davis' lips in a loving kiss, one he immediately returned.

"And I'll be here as I was meant to be." Faustian remarked from his gem, reminding the pair that they were not alone and to ensure the Dark Empress that he would still be at her side as his partner from now on.

Breaking the kiss and blushing a little after Faustian's interruption, Dark Kari then gained a serious expression and then told her beloved. "I want to meet the others."

Knowing that this would be something she would desire, Dark Davis helped Dark Kari to her feet and escorted out of the room toward another fateful meeting for the former Digidestined of Light.

.

.

.

Feeling a slight headache as she slowly opened her eyes, Kari found herself lying upon a bed and to see Water Davis sitting beside her, a soft smile upon his face as he looked upon her now shining azure eyes.

Feeling a change within her being and within her powers, Kari brought up her right hand as blue data particles began to flow around her fingers, causing the brunette's eyes to widen as the realization came to her mind.

"It worked!" The being now known as Water Kari said with great joy as she closed her fist, which caused the data particles to disperse and for the former Digidestined of Light to hold a big smile upon her face, knowing that at long last, there would be a future for her and her beloved.

Watching as her beloved placed his hands around her fist, Water Kari then looked upon Water Davis as the Arch-Savant continued to smile upon her.

"There is so much I want to show you, and not just more of the Water Realm, but the stars beyond Nexus. I know I sound like a robot at times, but…" He told the watery variant of the Kamiya with a growing excitement within his tone.

Finding himself silent as Water Kari quickly kissed him, the Arch-Savant closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment between him and his beloved, before Water Davis looked upon the former Digidestined of Light as she broke the kiss and looked upon him with a smile and absolute love within her blue eyes.

"And I want to be there with you, my love. Learning, exploring, making new discoveries together. I love you, Davis Motomiya, and that will never change." Water Kari said with an absolute love within her voice, before smiling softly as she then told the Arch-Savant. "But first, I wish to meet with the other Karis."

"I am sure you each have a lot to discuss." Water Davis remarked as he helped Water Kari out of her bed and led her out of the room, the watery variant of the Kamiya quite curious and eager to meet her counterparts.

.

.

.

Awakening from her slumber, Kari slowly opened her eyes and smiled to see Nature Davis sitting next close by her side, the Grand Guardian smiling back at her with a further love in his expression.

Although enjoying the love she felt toward Nature Davis, Kari felt something different within her.

Bringing her right hand up and accessing her powers, Kari saw her hand begin to glow with a light green aura, the power of Nature Mana flowing between her fingertips.

"For so long, I was the harbinger of death to many, and now, I wield the power of life itself." Nature Kari said with a soft smile as she felt the flow of Nature Mana not only flowing through her body, but through her beloved and the entirety of Nexus as well, her altered powers allowing her to feel the world around her in ways she never felt before.

"There is a lot for you to learn, but I know you will succeed, my love. You have always been a source of life to those around, and I'll be there for you every step of the way." Nature Davis told the brunette with a kind smile as he held Nature Kari's hand, the brunette wrapping her fingers around his as she leaned in and gave her beloved a light kiss and found herself looking forward to her future alongside the nature variant of her beloved.

Breaking the kiss after a few moments for air, Nature Kari remained with a soft smile as she asked of her beloved. "Can we go meet the others?"

Nodding in approval, the Grand Guardian led his beloved out of the room and toward a meeting between her variants.

.

.

.

Stirring from her sleep and shooting up with a startled gasp, Kari expressed some uncertainty toward the position she was in as the last thing she remembered was being consumed in the pillar of light, where she now tried to take in her new surroundings.

"You're alright, Kari, you're alright." Light Davis said with a kind and soothing voice as he moved to her side and sat down in the chair next to her bed, while the brunette relaxed a little upon seeing that the light variant of her beloved was close by her side.

Sensing something different about her, however, Kari then brought up her right hand, channelled her powers and watched as her hand glowed with a radiant golden energy, thus causing the brunette, who would forever be known as Light Kari to her friends from now on, to express a deep sigh.

"I spent so many years hating the Light. I blamed it for taking you from me, and now I need to embrace it once again." The light variant of Kari said with a soft smile as she took in the irony of her situation.

"You've always been a light in my eyes, Kari, my light, and that will never change." Light Davis told his beloved as he held her hand within his own.

Looking into her now golden eyes, Light Davis then said with a further love within his voice. "And you will never be taken away from me ever again. As a being of Light, none within the Light Realm can reject you now. I know this won't be easy for you, not after all you have endured for the past five years, but I am here for you now, and I always will be."

Smiling back at the Archon, Light Kari leaned forward and gave her beloved a deep and passionate kiss, knowing in her heart that, if it meant being with her Davis for the rest of eternity, then she would accept the Light once again.

Breaking from their kiss, Light Davis looked upon the light variant of his beloved with a deep love, before he told her with a smile. "Come on, I am sure you want to meet the other Karis."

Nodding in agreement, Light Kari followed her beloved out of the room and down the hallway toward a meeting like no other.

.

.

.

Within the meeting room the five Davises told them the five of them first met one another, the rest of the Digi-heroes, heroines and their allies from Nexus waited patiently for the Karis to awaken, where they all were eager to find out if they were alright.

A moment later, five of the doors to the chamber then opened and everyone looked to see not only the five champions of Nexus, but to see the five Karis now accompanying them, who all blinked a few times as they saw mirror images of themselves now looking back at them with a shared sense of awe.

"Ok, that's it, I need a drink!" Tai merely said as he made his way toward the exit that led to the hangar where Miracle's Reach was docked, the Digidestined of Courage unable to mentally process the idea of now having five sisters in his head.

"Wait for me!" Sora all but yelled as she moved to catch up with the Digidestined of Courage, the orange haired Digidestined not concerned with stopping Tai this time, but to drink away her own misery to the fact that she wouldn't be able to spend anymore nights with the five Davises.

Chuckling a little toward the pair's reaction, Fire Davis addressed the rest of the room and suggested with a soft smile. "Why don't we let the five of them talk in private."

Nodding in agreement, the rest of the group within the room cleared out, along with the five Davises, which left the five Karis remaining, before they moved to sit around the couches within the room.

"So… where do we go from here?" Dark Kari found herself questioning as she broke the silence and looked upon her variants with a growing curiosity.

"We spend forever with our Davises, that seems simple to me." Fire Kari remarked with her own warm smile, one that her counterparts shared, even if they still held some concerns.

"But what do we do if we end up facing one another in the future? We can't claim neutrality anymore in the conflict of the Realms." Water Kari said as she voiced her own worries and concerns.

"We'll make the same agreement our Davises made. It's worked for them for the past twenty thousand years, so I think we can make it work too." Nature Kari replied with her own joy, which began to spread amongst her variants as they started to feel like a bunch of sisters drawing closer to one another.

"But will we end up like them?" Light Kari then questioned as she looked particularly toward Dark Kari and Water Kari as she went on and then told them. "I don't mean to use you two as examples, but with how… distant Water Davis is and now… brutal Dark Davis can be…"

"We will be their light and lead them back to who they were, and they will act as our own beacons, reminding us always of who we are." Fire Kari said in reply for her two variants as she looked around the group and said with a growing love, determination and conviction within her voice. "We have been given a third chance, and we need to make the most of it. We will be by their sides for who knows how long, and I plan on enjoying every moment of it."

Sharing in Fire Kari's enthusiasm, the five Karis then began to discuss their futures upon Nexus and with their lovers, the sins of their past now behind them as they looked forward to a bright future with the loves of their lives.
