Monday morning was the hardest day to get up to go to school on. Sunday had been spent spending time with Jenna and Jeremy, Elena had chosen to do her own thing but that's fine they didn't need her.
Sitting up and swinging her legs over the edge of the bed she was startled when Jackie appeared suddenly.
"Fuck, too early for that trick," Eliza jumped as Jackie began laughing her ass off.
"You ok?,"
"Yeah Jer just Jackie being a smart ass,"
"Ah ok, hey Jackie,"
"Hey kiddo," Jackie managed to finally get out as she took a deep breath after laughing so hard.
"Let me get ready I'll drive your asses to school,"
"OK," both Jackie and Jeremy agreed with him closing his side of the bathroom door to give his sister her time.
Making her way into the bathroom she slipped into the shower first to wake up fully. When she stepped out she noticed a small pile of under clothes sitting on the counter. She loved Jackie she always did little things for her like that to save her time.
Sliding on the under garments she proceeded to do her makeup consisting of black winged eyeliner and a blue smokey eye shadow. Wrapping a towel around herself she made her way back into her bedroom where Jackie laid on her bed listening to the small radio she kept near her bed.
Opening her closet she looked left to right before deciding on a pair of her black skinny jeans, white mesh tank top, and calf high black riding boots.
"You look hot,"
"So honest eh Jackie,"
"Always, but you have always had good fashion taste,"
"Thank you, shall we head out?,"
"Yep," as Eliza grabbed her book bag and left her room Jeremy must have heard her cause he met her in the hallway.
Heading downstairs Jenna was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. In her arms were three thermos of coffee, and three granola bars.
"Thanks aunt Jenna," Jeremy and Eliza said at the same time.
"Thanks Jenna," Jackie smiled as she took one as well.
When they got outside Eliza unlocked the Impala and Jeremy slipped into the back seat, Jackie got in the passenger seat, and Eliza got into the driver seat and together they headed to school.
When they arrived they ended up parking a couple of spots behind Elena and Bonnie. As they got out of the car Jeremy waved bye to them and took off to find Vicki. Eliza and Jackie ended up catching up to Elena and Bonnie.
"I'm not saying don't date the guy,"
"What did I miss?,"
"You are the one who said to go for it,"
"Now I'm saying take it slow,"
"What happened?,"
"I touched Stefan the other night at the grill and got a bad feeling from him, like death,"
"Oh," Eliza turned giving Jackie a uh oh look.
"Why the about face,"
"It's not a about face, for the first time in your entire high school career it's the perfect time to play the field,"
"Oh because I'm so that girl,"
"She's got a point Bonnie she is so not that girl," Eliza and Jackie laughed behind them.
"Seriously what are you not saying?,"
"It's stupid,"
"Bonnie spit it out," Elena pretty much demanded as Bonnie gave Eliza a worrisome look.
"I accidentally touched Stefan and got a really bad feeling,"
"That it?,"
"It was bad bad,"
"Is this the whole with mojo thing again?,"
"What, I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend,"
"And I love you for it, I do, but I feel good It's been a hard year for us, and I'm sorry if you feel like things are getting back to normal again, and you what Stefan is a big part of that,"
"Ok," Bonnie agreed to disagree as the four of them continued on into school with Eliza giving her a sympathetic look.
She took the witch stuff seriously, and now it looked like Bonnie was starting to accept it too. Which was good sooner she did sooner they had more power for all that would come to pass supernatural wise. They couldn't always rely on Sheila she was older now, yes she still had her magic, but if she taxed herself too much it could kill her.
As they passed by the 'stoner pit' Eliza saw Jeremy and Vicki and gave them a small wave., happy that Elena didn't see him to ruin his day.
As they got halfway to the building Eliza smiled seeing Stefan approach them.
"Morning Elena, Eliza, Jackie, and Bonnie,"
"Hey, I've got to find Caroline she's not answering her phone so see you guys,"
"Bonnie wait," Elena tried to stop her as Eliza rolled her eyes clearly Bonnie felt awkward around him.
"She doesn't like me very much,"
"She doesn't know you,"
"It will be find she doesn't understand her feelings yet," Eliza hinted towards Stefan who knew right away what she meant.
"She's my best friend she's just looking out for me,but when she does she will love you,"
Eliza looked ahead and saw Tyler and Matt throwing the football around with another friend so she waved to them as they nodded back to her.
"Here's what we're going to do are you free tonight?,"
"Yes,"
"Perfect, dinner my house eight o'clock. You, me, Eliza, Bonnie, and Jackie,"
"Actually I have something tonight so count me out Jackie quickly interjected, she needed to go to the next town and get a good feed in and she couldn't do that in Mystic Falls for obvious reasons.
"Ok then all minus Jackie then, you and Bonnie will spend some quality time and she will get to see what a great guy you are, mission accomplished,"
"What the hell, "Eliza exclaimed as the football Tyler threw came spiraling at Stefan hard and fast, but he caught it.
Eliza was pissed and smiled as Stefan threw the ball back hard making Tyler lose his breath as it hit him in the chest.
As they got inside Eliza and Jackie sighed not really wanting to be there but oh so thankful it was their final year.
"I didn't know you played football, that throw was amazing,"
"I use to a long time ago,"
"So why don't you try out for the team,"
"Maybe he has a personal reason for not wanting to Elena," Eliza said trying to divert the topic knowing it was cause he was a vampire now that he was afraid of hurting someone if he played again.
"Yeah I don't think so,"
"So you don't like football?,"
"I love football I think it's a great sport, but in this case I don't think football likes me. You saw Tyler over there, and we both know how Matt feels,"
"Well they don't know you,"
"You don't fully either sis it's been what a week?,"
"Eliza is right," Stefan agreed since technically only she knew him fully.
"To them you are mysterious loner guy, wouldn't hurt to be part of, make some friends,"
"Says the girl who spends her alone time writing in a cemetery,"
"Oh he got you there sis you know he's right," Eliza snickered as she opened her locker beside Elena's and removed her school books for the morning and leaving behind the afternoon books, then closing it again.
"There's more to me then just gloom and graveyard girl, there is a whole other Elena you have yet to meet. She was into everything,"
"I look forward to meeting her, and when will that be?," he asked as the school bell rang.
Eliza smirked as she and Jackie took off leaving the love birds alone to go to class.
Eliza sat in study hall finishing up her English homework, feeling pity for the gang who was stuck in Tanner's class right now. She was grateful they let her test out of that class so she wouldn't have to deal with him anymore. Though if they ever replaced him she would gladly attend the class again.
She was surprised they hadn't seen Caroline all morning usually she would be talking Elena and Bonnie's ears off first thing but it was oddly quiet. As much as she annoyed Eliza she hoped she was ok.
