Eliza had arrived early before Stefan and Damon for a reason. In the back store room was the newly turned vampire. She refused to see Lexi die tonight it would devastate Stefan and she cared about him too much to see him that hurt,again.

Outside the plot had begun. A deputy found the injured girl and her dead boyfriend. She cries vampire and so it started.

Inside Lexi headed to the bar to get shots for her and Stefan.

"Two shots of tequila please, make that three," she decided when she noticed Elena.

"I need to see some id,"

"No you don't," Lexi compelled.

"That'll be..,"

"Free,"

"On the house,"

"Thanks," she said grabbing the shots and heading towards Elena.

"Ah the famous Elena,"

"Towel girl,"

"I've been called worse, here," she handed Elena a shot.

"I didn't know you guys could drink,"

"Oh yeah it helps curbs the cravings, but it makes for a lot of lushy vamps,"

"You know i've never seen Stefan drunk he always seems so..,"

"Uptight?,"

"Yeah but not with you,"

"Well that's the benefits of knowing someone for over a hundred years you can just be yourself,"

"Yeah he can't be himself with me,"

"Not yet the first step is him telling you the rest comes with time,"

"You seem so sure,"

"The love of my life was human he went through what I imagine you're going through denial, anger, etc. But at the end of the day love really did conquer all. Are you going to drink that?,"

"Uh no go for it," she handed the shot back to Elena and tossed it back.

"I'm scared,"

"But you're here cause you're crazy about him, I get it ok what's not to like. Listen take it from someone who's been around a long time when it's real you can't walk away," tossing the final shot back Lexi turned to head back to Stefan.

"Hey Lexi it was really nice meeting you," Lexi smiled at her and headed off.

"Go get the backup," Eliza whispered to Jackie who nodded slipping off to the back hall to get the vampire.

Eliza always had a sixth sense she knew it almost time her gut was screaming at her.

"Yup I drank yours sorry," Lexi made the excuse to Stefan as to why she was back empty handed.

"Thank you,"

"You weren't suppose to be listening, I was feeling epic whatever," Lexi smirked at the situation.

Eliza moved closer to the bar area where Damon sat making sure it would keep him distracted while things were situated.

"Alright the shots are a bribe I need you to answer something," Lexi slammed down two shots in front of Damon while Eliza stood on his opposite side for the right moment. You see their secret weapon was here too.

Greta had never gone home and she knew a spell for slowing time for humans and supernatural so they had enough time to do the switch out with Lexi.

"What are you really doing in Mystic Falls,"

"Have you tried the brittle? wins awards,"

"Cut the crap,"

"Ok I have a diabolical master plan,"

"What is it?,"

"Well if i told you it wouldn't be very diabolical now would it?," it was then Eliza texted Greta to start the spell.

It was then Eliza noticed the cops and the victim from earlier. Luckily the spell took effect but it wouldn't effect her or Jackie due to a special talisman they both wore.

Jackie sped over with the new vampire and put her in the same place as where Lexi had stood and sped Lexi out the back and to the Salvatore house where the spell would break and she could escape.

Damon smirked as he had seen the cops enter. His plan was happening on cue he thought.

When the spell wore off Damon didn't notice that it wasn't Lexi in front of him when the Sheriff stormed over shoving a needle into the decoy's hip.

The deputies grabbed her as she fell over limp dragging her out.

Stefan was furious he tried to follow out the front thinking it was Lexi but they were not letting anyone leave. So he, Elena, and Eliza took off out the back door.

When they got around the building the decoy awoke pissed shoving one cop one way and the other the opposite way.

Sheriff Forbes grabbed her gun to defend herself and started to shoot her thinking it would stop her.

Elena, Stefan, and Eliza arrived around the building when the shots started and stayed out of sight watching as the blonde vampire went up against the cops.

It was then Damon unknowing came out shoving a stake in their heart, but it wasn't til he saw their face that he saw it wasn't his intended vampire and grew angry but hid it for the time being.

Turning Damon decided to check on the sheriff.

"You ok?,"

"Thank you, get it in the car quickly," after they threw the body in the trunk Damon and Forbes headed back inside.

Stefan and the girls stayed outside as he began freaking out.

"He killed her, he killed zach, he killed Tanner, he turned Vicki I have to kill him,"

"Stefan will you just chill out and listen to me," Eliza stepped in front of him and made him look her in the eye.

"She isn't gone, that was a decoy I told you I had it handled. You're reaction had to be real to fool Damon,"

"What are you talking about?,"

"Greta was here, Jackie got her out of here if I'm right about five minutes ago after they brought the vampire outside. She cast a spell to slow time and me and Jackie got Lexi out and swapped her. Damon had no clue and you couldn't know either,"

"She's alive?,"

"Yes if you go home before Damon I'm sure Lexi left you a note,"

"You're right," Stefan said agreeing with Eliza.

Elena of course wanted to but in and make him stop but he listened to me.

When he arrived home Damon was waiting for him in his room.

"I told you I would take care of it, though it wasn't my intended victim," Damon sneered mad that it wasn't Lexi.

It was then Stefan decided to take out all his frustrations on him.

"Come on I did this for you to get them off our trail,"

"You never do anything for anyone but yourself," Stefan yanked a stake out of his back pocket he shoved it into Damon's stomach.

"You missed,"

"You saved my life I'm sparing yours, you can thank Eliza for it. We're even now and we're done," Damon slid down the wall in pain as Stefan took off to find the note he would be here somewhere.

Damon ripped the stake out of his stomach and groaned, but at least now he knew who was responsible for changing his plans he would need to have a little talk with a certain reborn woman.

Eliza stood at the edge of town with Greta and Jackie.

"You ladies take care and be careful getting back to your towns,"

"You took a huge risk saving my life Eliza, how did you even know it would work?,"

"I'm an original we never take risk we do what we know will work,"

"You're a original?,"

"Nik's girl, take care Lexi I will call you back when the time is right for Stefan,"

"Uh yeah, wow, thank you for helping me all of you," Lexi got in the car and waited for Greta to join her.

"Tell Nik I am grateful for him letting me ask you for help again,"

"I am happy to help you when the situation is needed, I need to go back though and help Nik with his issues,"

"Good luck with that," Eliza joked as she hugged Greta and watched her get in the car.

She and Jackie leaned against each other as the car drove away, first plan of Damon's stopped.

Jackie picked up Eliza in her arms and sped home, ready for another day and more problems they knew that would come.
