It had been two weeks since Jackie whisked Eliza out of Mystic Falls to her family in Washington. The first few days they were there Jackie had to physically take care of her while Elijah called Niklaus who came rushing home to tend to his love.

They knew they had to go home though. Although Jenna covered for them with the school, and Jeremy picked up Eliza's homework and did it for her so she wouldn't be behind they had to go home and face the music.

Eliza was in such a happy place right now. She had her brother and boyfriend with her and felt like cloud nine. She too knew she had to go home though and so they had a final large meal together.

Nik had arranged a beautiful set up for them nice wine, fresh blood, a healthy home cooked meal. Eliza loved it. Nik wanted the best for her, he also wanted her happy before she went back to their homeland and had to deal with the people there.

When it was time to leave Elijah said goodbye to Eliza first before helping Jackie out to the car with not only their original first two bags but also the handful of new bags Nik was sending her home with that held stuff for her, Jackie, Jenna, and Jeremy.

Eliza stayed wrapped in Nik's arms for a good few minutes before he pulled away to look her in the eyes.

"Fire lily I need you to do me a favor, starting when you get home I need you to start drinking these," he picked up a small box opening the lid for her to see the many vials of blood.

"Your blood?,"

"Yes, I need you safe and so far I am not liking Mystic Falls for you,"

"I understand I promise I'll take one every day," she leaned up kissing him in promise as she took the box.

He led her outside to the car and helped her in kissing her again before stepping back beside his brother as Jackie started the car. They waved goodbye as they pulled off Eliza knew she would see them again.

They arrived back in Mystic Falls late in the afternoon. When they entered the house Jenna dropped the apple she had just picked up shocked to see her home so soon and ran to her hugging her and Jackie tight.

Jeremy heard the commotion downstairs and came down a huge smile appearing when he saw his sister. He too hugged her tight.

They spent the next hour catching up before they all headed to bed ready for whatever the next day would bring.

The next morning Jenna had told them how Logan showed up the night they left and she refused to let him in despite how many times he asked, she was even sure he tried the eye thing on her.

"I live in fear it consumes me. In the early evening when I see the sun begin to fade the fear comes. Because I know that the night brings death for it has already claimed the Mackenzie's and the Salvatore's," Jeremy read from the journal before he stood up grabbing a box from his shelf.

Smiling he pulled out his sketchbook grabbing a piece of charcoal from the little box on the desk and starting to draw.

Eliza was stood in their bathroom and turned when she saw his reflection in the mirror. Turning she smiled seeing him sitting at the desk drawing. She closed the door to give him privacy.

Heading downstairs she bumped into Jenna at the bottom of the stairs.

"Jeremy has his sketch pad out,"

"You're kidding?,"

"Nope but don't say a word the minute we encourage him he'll put it away,"

"Say a word about what?," Elena asked coming out of the kitchen.

"Jeremy's drawing again,"

"Wow," she was stunned at the news.

"That's great, you know someday he should meet Nik those two would hit it off about drawing," Jackie pointed out.

"Very true," Eliza agreed.

Jenna noticed Elena at the table by the door where her bag sat staring at her phone.

"And you and Stefan?," Jenna asked her.

"He knows how I feel and where I stand, and I know where he stands but it doesn't matter he's leaving moving away,"

"It will Elena you have to trust him, right now he feels like he is protecting you after what happened a couple of weeks ago,"

"I know but it is hard to understand in a way too,"

"I know," Eliza laid a hand on her shoulder in comfort.

"Where's he going?,"

"I've stopped asking questions, the answers get scary," she responded as they all headed out the door to go to their schools.

Eliza pulled her phone out of her pocket and shot off a quick text to both Stefan and Damon.

D - I'm home, I'm ok

S - I'm home, I'm ok. Logan Fell is a vampire by the way.

Eliza and Jackie got in the Impala and she smiled as she looked at the visor above her seat where a new picture of her, Jackie, Elijah, and Nik sat.

Heading to school Jackie had her laughing as she sang along with the radio at the top of her lungs.

When Eliza and Jackie walked into school her eyebrow raised as she saw Caroline and Matt by the classroom door.

"Did I miss something?,"

"They've been hanging out," came Elena's voice from behind her.

"Wow, well as long as he is happy I'm happy for him," she said sincerely knowing Matt deserved to have some happiness after all the crap he had been through.

"Kind of weird don't you think?,"

"She needs someone nice like him as opposed to a homicidal vampire like Damon,"

"He was angry cause your bitch of a ancestor destroyed the only way to open a tomb that not only holds something dear to him but also to me," Eliza snapped before storming off Jackie on her heels away from Bonnie.

"How are you doing with all that?," Elena asked after they left.

"I'm freaked out, Damon attacked me I could be dead right now. But i'm also grateful to Stefan he saved my life. Have you seen him?,"

"Not since he told me he was leaving. For all I know he's already gone,"

"He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye,"

"Yes he would he thinks he is protecting me clean break and all that,"

"So what are you going to do?,"

"What am I suppose to do? I already begged him not to go if I ask again i'm being selfish it is what it is,"

"Maybe it's for the best,"

"What? Why?,"

"I mean what kind of future could you have had with him even if he stayed?," Bonnie pointed out as the career day poster fell in front of them.

"Did you just?,"

"No I swear," huffing Elena shoved the poster out of her way as she stormed off to class.

At the Salvatore house the sheriff was leaving after having told Damon someone had been attacked by another vampire.

"Thank you for stopping by," Damon said showing her out.

After he closed the door Stefan flashed over shoving him against it.

"What's is wrong with you? You killed somebody?,"

"Get off of me. A - don't touch me, B - if I had I wouldn't have been so obvious about it, C - there's another vampire in town," as Damon said that both their phones dinged.

They both checked them and Stefan cursed.

"It's Logan Fell,"

"How do you know?,"

"Cause Eliza found out this morning just not how,"

"Well not out problem we're leaving anyway right?,"

"You would leave Eliza around a new vampire, Jackie doesn't count she had great control thanks to Lexi before she came home,"

"Good point," Damon said annoyed that he made a good point.

Damon walked away from him after that to go handle the situation.
