To my readers-This is a major editing overhaul for my Pokemon fanfiction. During this editing overhaul, I am renaming my OC. I will not change her Pokemon Partner, and I will not change her regional Pokemon Teams. I have decided as a writing goal to combine all of the regions together rather than writing them as individual regions. I'm still going to write Sinnoh and Unova, but at this moment, I need to finish writing certain regions like Kanto, Alola and Galar. For those of you who are going to ask me if I'm doing the Pokemon movies (you know who you are), I'm nipping that question in the bud right now. I will not be writing the movies. Why? Because it will be too much for me to do as I already have a lot on my plate as it is so stop asking me that question.
If you dont like the way I'm writing my version of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar then you dont have to read my fanfiction. You can move onto reading something else in the Pokemon universe, I'm not going to force you as readers to read my fanfiction. I'm not going to reach through my computer screen to force you to read any of my fanfiction. You as individuals chose to read my fanfiction. Happy Reading!
I DONT OWN POKEMON. I ONLY OWN MY OC AND THE CREATION OF HER REGIONAL POKEMON TEAMS. ALL REGIONAL POKEMON TEAMS WILL BE POSTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CHAPTERS FOR MY OC.
Shoutouts:
Narrator: After forfeiting to Sabrina's psychic Pokémon in Saffron City, our friends learn from a mysterious bearded man how they might defeat her. Now they're on their way to try and capture one of the ghost Pokémon that haunts the dreaded Pokémon tower in Lavender Town.
Trixie: I doubt that we'll actually capture a ghost Pokémon in a Pokeball. I'll bet you anything that Ash will do something scary to Brock, Misty, Pikachu and Meeko.
Meeko: Olu?
Trixie: You'll see what I mean.
Narrator: You're on, Trixie.
Trixie: Bring it on, Mr. Narrator!
"The fog's coming in. And that's not good." said Ash as fog surrounds them. "We'd better be super careful. We've got to make sure we don't get separated."
"Maybe this is an omen." suggested Misty. "Maybe we should forget about catching a ghost Pokémon."
"We've come too far." said Brock. "Everybody, lets hold hands and stay together." Trixie grabs ahold of Ash's hand as Misty grabs ahold of hers. "Okay." said Misty.
"Right." said Ash.
"Hey, Ash, where are you?" asked Brock, trying to find them.
"Up here." said Ash.
"What do you mean by here?" he asked.
"Right here." said Ash, placing his hand behind him so that Brock could grab it.
"Ah, there." said Brock and suddenly grabs Pikachu's tail by mistake.
"Pi…Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, giving Brock an electric shock.
"Huh?" said Misty.
"Looks like someone grabbed Pikachu's tail by mistake and received an electric shock." said Trixie, seeing Brock on the ground.
"Riolu." said Meeko.
"Brock? Oh, don't you know how scared it makes me when you yell like that?" Misty asked Brock.
"Well, Misty, you sure scare me." said Ash in a lowered scary voice.
"Huh?" she replied as Ash starts laughing. "Ah! Say what?"
"I'm feeling like a ghost myself." Ash tells her. He then turns around, growls as he wears a skull like mask causing four out of five to scream as Ash laughs. Misty, Brock, Pikachu and Meeko turned to face Trixie who was unaffected by Ash's mask.
"How are you not scared by this?" asked Misty.
"Riolu!" said Meeko, glaring at her trainer.
"Several tearful tantrums and a long talk with our mom." said Trixie. "He then finally realized that if he didn't listen to mom, I would come after him with my fists." Meeko jumps into her arms and rubs her head against her cheek, forgiving her.
"Sorry guys. I was just testing you." said Ash, taking off the mask. "If we're trying to catch a ghost Pokémon, we got to learn to deal with fear. That's the only way we're going to become great Pokémon trainers. Besides, Trixie got used to it the past couple of years."
"You must be crazy!" shouted Misty.
"Don't ever do that again!" bellowed Brock.
"Chu!" screamed Pikachu, causing Trixie and Meeko to step to the side as he shocks Ash.
"We've got enough things to scare us without your boneheaded jokes." said Misty.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu.
"You know, big brother," said Trixie as she walks up to him. "I hope you learned a lesson in all of this."
"I'll just save the masks till next year's Halloween." said Ash.
"Good thinking." said Trixie. Birds were heard cawing as Ash and the others arrived in Lavender Town. "There's Lavender Town." said Ash.
"And there's an interesting looking tower." commented Trixie.
"Riolu." Meeko said, agreeing with her.
"I'm glad we got here before it got dark." said Ash.
"Looks like it's always dark around this place." said Misty just as the sky darkened when they walked up to the tower.
"This is the Pokémon Tower where ghost Pokémon hang out." said Brock.
"I like what they've done with the place." said Ash.
"Yeah. It's very…..what's the word I'm looking for?" asked Trixie. "Oh yeah, unique."
"Okay, Ash. It's time for you and Trixie to show us what a great trainer you both are." said Misty.
"Huh?" said Ash, looking at Misty.
"We'll let the two of you handle this one together." said Brock.
"Hey, wait a minute." said Ash. "You guys promised me you'd help me capture a ghost Pokémon when we got to Lavender Town."
"I don't remember promising that." said Misty, causing both siblings to look over their shoulders to see Misty and Brock several feet from them.
"You and Jordan know how to deal with fear, Ash." said Brock.
"Ha, run away if you want to." Ash tells Misty and Brock. "I'm not scared, and I'm not going to let some stupid Ghost Pokémon prevent me from becoming a Pokémon master."
"Well, as your little sister, I'm scared of the ones who live in there." said Jordan, pointing to the tower. "I don't want to get a ghost Pokémon from the Pokémon Tower."
"I don't blame you, sis." said Ash. "So you don't have to enter the Tower. Right, Pikachu? Meeko?"
"Pikachu. Riolu." Both Pokémon got into their sleeping bags.
"Pikachu. Meeko." growled Ash. "All right, good idea. Let's do this in the morning." Suddenly Ash and Trixie got out their sleeping bags and laid down next to their Pokémon. "Make sure you don't wake us up too early, okay?" asked Ash. "Night, guys."
"See you both tomorrow." said Trixie.
"Time to wake up!" shouted Misty, banging a cymbal.
"Chu!" screamed Pikachu.
"Riolu!" screamed Meeko.
"Wah! Wah! Wah!" screeched Ash.
"Aah! My ears!" screamed Trixie.
"Maybe I'll be a little braver tomorrow morning." said Ash, hugging Pikachu.
"And I'm not going in there without you two going with us." said Trixie, hugging Meeko, causing Misty to sigh. Inside the tower, Team Rocket watches as Jessie laughs. "There they are." said Jessie. "I'm so glad they could make it."
"I'm no psychic, but I see success in our future." said James.
"This time, Pikachu and Meeko are in the bag." said Meowth.
"Let's get started." Jessie said to the boys.
"Mm." they replied. James runs to start on their plan when part of the floor beneath him gives out.
"Whoa!" James exclaimed.
"Hey!" said Meowth as he and Jessie run over to the hole in the floor. Both of them peered into the hole to see James lying face down. "James? Are you all right?" asked Jessie.
"The floor broke his fall." said Meowth, seeing that James fell through two flights of flooring.
"These old places can be so dangerous." said Jessie as something behind her opens a creaking door.
"Huh?" said Meowth, looking over her shoulder as sees a face. "What's that there?"
Suddenly a Gastly comes out and yawns, causing Meowth to scream. "Meowth, where are your manners?" Jessie asked the cat. "It's impolite to leave your mouth hanging open like that."
"Look behind you. Look behind you." said Meowth, pointing to Gastly.
"What are you jabbering?" she asked, confused.
"Behind you. Look there! Right there." said Meowth, still pointing behind her.
"Behind me." said Jessie, turning her head to see that Gastly wasn't there. "There's nothing there."
"Wha…? Huh?" said Meowth, opening his eyes.
"You must be seeing things." Jessie tells Meowth.
"It was there." Meowth tells her when suddenly Gastly appears between them. "Huh?"
"Don't tell me you're seeing things again." said Jessie as Gastly mimics her.
"Get away!" screamed Meowth with his claws out, scratching her face. Jessie screams in pain from his scratch. "It slipped."
"You mangy alley cat." bellowed Jessie. "You numbskull. You've ruined my beautiful face!"
"Ah!" screamed Meowth as Jessie hits him with a mallet. He then hits the walls before falling through the hole that James made, landing on him. "It was only a scratch."
Jessie whimpers as Gastly appears behind her. "A tragedy." said Jessie as she pulls out her mirror. "My face. Perfection has been ruined."
"Gastly." said Gastly, appearing in her mirror as Jessie starts screaming, causing her to now fall through the hole and land on Meowth and James.
"You're right." said James, freaking out. "This place is dangerous."
"Thanks for breaking my fall." said Jessie.
"Huh?"
Suddenly the floor beneath them broke, creating another hole. Outside of the tower, Ash and the others heard Team Rocket screaming. "Horrible. It sounds really horrible in there." said Misty.
"You're right." said Brock. "They must have some kind of torture chamber in there."
"Torture chamber?" asked Ash.
"Thanks for the image, Brock." said Jordan, imaging the torture chamber.
Inside the tower, Jessie, James and Meowth were faced down on the basement floor as James whimpers and Jessie hits Meowth. "This has got to be a nightmare." said Jessie, sitting up as James groans and Meowth rubs the bump on his head. Just then, Gastly appears.
"Huh?"
"Gastly." said Gastly and Team Rocket screams before fainting.
"Oh, those screams again." said Misty.
"But I heard a different voice that time." said Brock.
"Those voices are familiar." said Ash. "I feel like I've heard them all before."
"Why don't we go inside and find out who they are?" suggested Brock.
"You and Trixie go in first." said Misty as she and Brock push them towards the Tower.
"Go. Go." they both said.
"If you're thinking who I think you're thinking of…" said Trixie, taking out her notebook from her backpack as they start heading into the Pokémon tower. "Since meeting Team Rocket, they tried and failed to get Pikachu 20 times."
"You're going to keep a record, no matter where we go right?" asked Ash.
"Yep. Whether they're in disguise or not." said Trixie. Ash opens the creaking door, peering inside. "Hello, there." Ash called out as Trixie peeks out behind him. "Anybody home?"
"Uh, it's kind of dark in here." said Misty as she and Brock followed the siblings inside. The door creaks again, closing behind them with a 'SLAM'. "Oh, now its pitch black. Do something."
"Charmander, I choose you." said Ash, summoning Charmander.
"Char, Char." said Charmander, lighting up the room. "Char!" Charmander uses its flamethrower to light up the rest of the room.
"This place is creepy." said Misty as Charmander takes a breather. "Maybe we should come back tomorrow when its daylight."
"Have you ever heard of a ghost that comes out during the day?" asked Ash.
"I know I haven't." said Trixie.
"Look, I found a candle." said Brock, holding a candle.
"All right, Charmander, light up that candle for us." said Ash.
"Char!" shouted Charmander, using its flame on the candle when suddenly Brock starts whimpering.
"Light the candle, not me." Brock shouted at Charmander.
"Pika, Pika, Pi." Pikachu said, laughing.
"Olu, Olu, Olu." giggled Meeko.
"Watch where you walk." said Misty, seeing the hole in the floor that was left by Team Rocket. "There's a hole in the floor." Suddenly, devious laughing was heard above them.
"Where are those voices coming from?" she asked. In a room at the top of the Tower, a TV was on and a comedy was playing. "Gengar, Gengar, Gengar." said a big purple Pokémon with arms and legs, laughing at the show it and its friend were watching. "Gengar, Gengar, Gengar."
"Ah! (laughing)"
The Pokémon next to Gengar, guffawing at the show on TV. "Gengar, Gengar, Gengar." said Gengar, laughing with its friend.
"Ga-ga….Gastly!" said Gastly, coming through the wall. "Gastly."
"Gengar."
"Gastly."
"Haunter."
"Might as well check in this room first." said Brock as they went down a hallway.
"Maybe we should just get out of here." said Misty.
"Nah, there's no way we can turn back now." said Ash. "We've got to go in."
"Are you sure about that?" asked Trixie, holding onto her brother.
"I'm sure." he tells her and opens the double doors.
"Uh, hey, ghost Pokémon, if you're in here, say hello." Brock calls out.
"I'm going to capture you." said Ash.
"Don't say that." Misty tells him as Trixie nodded. "If they know you're trying to capture them, they won't come out of hiding."
"You're right." said Ash as Brock laughs. Just then, the lights turned on. "Char, Char." said Charmander.
"Pika…" said Pikachu.
"Riol…" said Meeko.
"What's this?" asked Ash.
"It looks like…" said Brock.
"Huh?" said both girls.
"It looks like some kind of fancy restaurant." said Brock.
"Maybe it's a party or some kind of reception." suggested Misty.
"But who's it for?" asked Brock and Ash sees something.
"What's that string?" asked Ash.
"There's something written on the card." said Brock as they walked up to the string.
"It says, 'pull this'." said Misty, reading the card.
"Should we pull it?" asked Trixie.
"Well, why not?" asked Ash, about to pull the string.
"Wait!" said Misty, but it was too late. Ash pulled the string and overhead, a pinata split opened, releasing confetti and string. Along with it came another note. "Are we…?" asked Ash and Trixie, seeing a banner that said 'Welcome'.
"Being welcomed?" asked Misty, finishing their thought.
"By who?" asked Brock. The dining room set on the table starts moving. "Look!" shouted Misty as it lifts off the table and heads towards them.
"Huh?" they said as the chairs lifted off as well. It was that point that all four of them starts screaming. A chair swipes down and takes Brock. "Whoa! Help me!" shouted Brock as a couple of plates take Pikachu and Charmander.
"Ah!"
"Hold on!"
Misty screams as she, Ash and Trixie run from the room. "Jump!" Brock shouted to Pikachu and Charmander, getting off the chair. Pikachu and Charmander followed him and all three ran out. Once out of the room, the dining room went back to normal, leaving Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar laughing at their terror.
Misty catches her breath once they were all outside. "There is no way I'm going back in that tower." she tells Ash. "It's just too scary in there."
"Me neither." said Brock.
"Never going back inside." said Trixie.
"Riol!" said a determined Meeko.
"What are you saying?" asked Ash.
"I'm saying that as your little sister, I would never go back inside if my life depended on it." said Trixie. "What we just experienced is worse than what you did to me as a joke."
"But there's no way we can capture a ghost Pokémon if we don't go in there." Ash tells them before turning to Pikachu and Charmander. "Right, Pikachu? Charmander?"
"Pi…Pi…" said Pikachu, shaking his head as Charmander cover its eyes.
"Char!" screamed Charmander, releasing its flamethrower on Ash, Misty and Brock.
"I don't blame you, Charmander." said Trixie as the three fell to the ground and it hops into her arms.
"Hold on!" shouted Ash, getting in their faces. "Are the four of you really cowards? How do you expect to beat Sabrina's psychic Pokémon if you don't go back in there?"
"I'm not a coward!" shouted Trixie, then points to the tower. "I'm scared and I don't want to go back in there. You can't make me go back in there, Ash."
"Riolu, Riolu, Riol, Riol, Olu!" Meeko said in agreement.
"Well, you and Meeko can stay at the Pokémon center." said Ash, sighing then looks at Pikachu and Charmander. "Do you want to lose again?"
"Pi…" said Pikachu, then remembers what Kadabra did to him, sending back his electric attack. "Cha."
"Listen, if you're ever going to beat psychic Pokémon, you got to learn to overcome your fear, understand?" asked Ash, as Pikachu and Charmander looked at each other.
"Pi…"
"Mander."
"I say it's time to give it another try. Pikachu, Charmander, are you with me?" he then asked.
"Pi. Char." both Pokémon said, nodding.
"Great. Let's do it!" said Ash, marching towards Pokémon Tower before turning around to face Misty and Brock. "Come on, guys. What about you? I understand why Trixie and Meeko don't want to go back inside."
"We'll both be waiting for you with Trixie right here." said Brock, crouching.
"Have a nice time." said Misty.
"We love you!" said Trixie.
"Olu!" said Meeko.
"Wah!" said Ash, Pikachu and Charmander before heading inside. "Hello everybody. We're back. We'd love to meet you. Feel free to introduce yourselves whenever you like. Huh?"
Ash, Pikachu and Charmander looked down at the hole in front of them. "What was that?" Ash then asks as he pulls out Dexter.
"Ghost Pokémon are in a vapor form." said Dexter. "Their true nature is shrouded in mystery."
"Oh, well. Guess I'll try to solve the mystery." said Ash.
"Cut it out." said Meowth's voice from below.
"Could you please knock that off?" asked James.
"What's this?" asked Jessie.
"Stop it." said James.
"They're down there." said Ash, staring down the hole. "Time for us to go get them. Pikachu, electric attack."
"Pika." said Pikachu, sending a thunderbolt down in the hole. "Pikachu!" Down in the hole, Team Rocket screams as they received Pikachu's attack.
"Charmander, flamethrower, now." said Ash.
"Char!" screamed Charmander, sending its flamethrower at Team Rocket, causing them once again to scream in pain from the flames.
"Hey, it's working." said Ash then takes out a Pokeball. "Go, Pokeball!"
"Huh?" said Jessie, looking just as the Pokeball hits her face. "Ouch." She then starts sobbing as the Pokeball falls from her face.
"Huh, I wonder if I captured it." said Ash.
"Oh, it's that stuck up little brat again. This time, no sister." said Jessie. "I'll get him and his sister if it's the last thing I ever do. Someday, I'm going to make them pay dearly for what they've done."
"She's got fire in her eyes." said James.
"Yeah, and in her hair too." said Meowth.
"Huh?" she said, looking back at Meowth before looking up at her hair to see that he was right. Jessie starts running around, squealing with her hair on fire.
"Hey, a fireball." said Ash.
"He's going to pay for this." Jessie tells James and Meowth, her hair burned as she tips over.
"Aw, the fireball's gone." said Ash, seeing that it fanned out. "Guess we'll get it next time."
Pikachu turns around and sees Haunter behind Ash. "Pi. Pika, Pi!" shouted Pikachu, freaking out.
"Huh? What's that?" asked Ash, then looks over his shoulder to see that nothing's there behind him. "You must be seeing things. Huh?" Just then, Haunter appears with a huge smile on its face. "Uh…" said Ash and Haunter starts to make a funny face at him. "Argh!" Haunter laughs as Ash, Pikachu and Charmander back away from it. "Is this a Ghost Pokémon?" he asked and pulls out Dexter.
"Haunter, a gaseous Pokémon. No further information." said Dexter.
"Huh? Is that all?" asked Ash. "Well, we're not going to lose to some stupid Ghost Pokémon. Go, Charmander! Huh?" Haunter was gone when Ash looked up and reappeared behind him, tapping Ash on the shoulder.
"Don't bother me now, Pikachu. Quit it." said Ash, thinking that it was Pikachu and Haunter taps his shoulder again. " Cut it out." Ash then takes Haunter's hand and looks down at his mistake. He then screams and runs from Haunter, who then laughs at him.
"I'm not afraid of you." said Ash, glaring at Haunter. "You just surprised me a little bit. Charmander, you're on."
"Char!" said Charmander, running up to Haunter.
"Charmander, time to use your leer attack." said Ash. Charmander glares hard as it growls a bit at Haunter to the point where Charmander makes a funny face. "Huh?" said Haunter as it starts to laugh at Charmander's face.
"What are you doing, Charmander? You're not supposed to make it laugh." said Ash.
"Mander?" asked Charmander, scratching its head as Haunter comes up to it and licks it.
"Oh, this isn't working." said Ash, taking out Charmander's Pokeball. "Charmander, return."
"Bah." said Haunter, making a funny face at Ash.
"Do you really think I'm afraid of you?" asked Ash as Gengar comes up through the floor.
"Gengar…" said Gengar in a menacing tone.
"Pika-pi!" squeaked a terrified Pikachu.
"Gengar, Gengar." said Gengar.
"There are more of these?" asked Ash, terrified as well.
"Gengar!" said Gengar, with a fan in its hand, it smacks Ash on the head, making Haunter laugh at his pain. Ash, rubs the back of his head, groaning as both Ghost Pokémon laugh. "I better find out about this one." said Ash.
"Gengar. No information available." said Dexter.
"Not again." said Ash.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu, watching Gengar hit Haunter over the head with the fan, laughing at Haunter's pain.
"I don't get it. They're weird." said Ash.
"Huh?" said Gengar and Haunter, then starts going up and down, trying to make them laugh.
"Are you guys trying to be funny? Your routine really isn't working for me." said Ash.
"Pikachu?" asked Pikachu. Both Gengar and Haunter wail at the criticism he was giving them. "I'm sorry to say it, but their humor leaves me cold." said Ash. "Knowing Jordan, she wouldn't find it that funny either."
"Gen?" said Gengar, looking at Ash with curiosity.
"That's right. I have a little sister named Trixie." he said to Gengar and Haunter. "She's outside with my other friends."
"Gengar. Haunter." said both Ghost Pokémon, sad as they start to go through the floor.
"Now hold on a sec." said Ash, stopping them in their tracks and they popped up again. "It's not that she's scared of Ghost Pokémon. Right now, she's not interested in capturing Ghost Pokémon. She might get some down the line though."
"Gengar! Haunter!" they shouted, seeing that there was hope but then turned sad again.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"They're pretty sad." said Ash as both Haunter and Gengar seep through the floor again.
"Pika-pi!" exclaimed Pikachu as he and Ash ran over to them.
"Hey! Don't go!" said Ash, then jumps over to the spot. "Wait a second!" Ash hits the ground as Pikachu skids to a stop. The chandelier over them breaks from the ceiling and falls on top of them.
"Ah!" screamed Ash. Sparks crackled out of Pikachu, causing an electric flux to turn on the chandelier. Gengar, Gastly and Haunter laughed, clapping at the show when suddenly Ash and Pikachu weren't waking up. "Huh?"
"Gen…gar?" asked Gengar, poking Ash and Pikachu on the head. "Gengar." Haunter laughs, taking the spirits of Ash and Pikachu out of their physical bodies. Ash whimpers as he and Pikachu opened their eyes. "Huh? Pi." They then looked down at their physical bodies.
"We're down there!" said Ash.
"Pika, Pika?" said Pikachu.
"What's going on?" asked Ash.
"Pikachu?" asked Pikachu.
"Haunter, Haunter." said Haunter, pointing to itself.
"You're saying we're alike now?" Ash asks.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Oh, no! We've been totally separated from our bodies!" shouted Ash.
"Haunter, Haunter." said Haunter, nodding.
"No way. I don't want to be a ghost yet." said Ash. Haunter grabs him by the arm and takes him upstairs with Gastly and Gengar following with Pikachu.
"Ah, no! Wherever you're taking us, we don't want to go." Ash tells Haunter and through the roof they go. Ash sees the whole town from that height. "Ah! Oh, what a view. Ah!"
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Huh?" said Ash, seeing Trixie, Misty and Brock still outside. "Now's our chance to have some fun."
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Ash is taking too long." Misty said to Brock. "I think we'd better go in and see how he's doing."
"I want to wait a little longer before we go inside." said Trixie, but then suddenly sees Ash's spirit behind Misty, her eyebrows raised a bit.
"That's a good idea." said Brock, before taking Trixie's hand.
"So, Misty, you're really worried about me." said Ash and Misty turns to look behind her.
"Huh?"
"What's wrong, Misty?" asked Brock. Trixie looks at her brother, who in turn looks at her, points up in the sky. Trixie looks up to see three Ghost Pokémon and Pikachu, causing her jaw to drop and softly hit Meeko.
"Ri?" asked Meeko. Trixie points up and shows her Ash and Pikachu in ghost form.
"I just thought I heard a voice." said Misty. Ash places a finger on his mouth to Trixie, telling to keep quiet. Trixie shakes her head no as he reaches for Misty's waist. "Come for a ride with me, Misty." said Ash, lifting her up and taking her into the sky.
"Ah! Misty!" shouted Brock as he and Trixie watched her head into the air.
"Help!" screamed Misty as Ash laughs behind her. "The ghost has got me!"
"Riolu?" asked Meeko and Trixie shakes her head.
"Okay, ride's over. Catch her, Brock!" said Ash, letting go of Misty. She falls as Brock catches her. "Wait a minute. That voice…" said Misty. "I think something terrible happened to Ash."
"Yeah, it's him all right." said Trixie, crossing her arms. Misty and Brock looked at her. "Don't ask how I know; I know it's my brother." Misty and Brock stood up and all three ran inside Pokémon Tower.
"Yeah!" shouted Ash as he and Pikachu fly through the sky with Gastly, Haunter and Gengar. "I'm flying! Ah, cool." Haunter catches up with Ash, surprising him by coming out of the trees and pretending to swallow him. "You fooled me." Ash said to Haunter, as it, Gastly and Gengar laughed.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu as he and Ash joins in the laugher. At the Pokémon Tower, Haunter leads Ash and Pikachu to their playroom. "Whoa." said Ash, taking a look around the bright room. "Wow, look at all these toys. Trixie would love these."
"Pikachu!" exclaimed Pikachu.
"Haunt, haunt, haunt." said Haunter.
"Gengar, Gengar, Gengar." said Gengar, balancing on a ball.
"Gastly, Gastly." said Gastly, swinging on a swing set.
"Huh?" said Ash, feeling confused. "Do you mean you only wanted somebody to play with?"
"Gengar, Gengar."
"Haunt, Haunt, Haunt, Haunt."
"Really? Was that all?" asked Ash, smiling at them. "You just wanted to have some fun, not scare people?"
"Chu." said Pikachu, causing Ash to look over and see that Pikachu was on the swing set with Gastly.
"Gastly, Gastly." said Gastly.
"Pikachu. Pika, Pika." said Pikachu.
"I understand how much you must have been bored for such a long time. That's tough." said Ash with Haunter and Gengar agreeing with him. "I'm sorry, but I can't stay with you and play with all these great toys. There are still lots and lots of opponents out there for me to battle. I have to fulfill my dream of becoming a Pokémon Master and help my sister be the best Pokémon trainer she can be."
"Hmm." said Haunter and Gengar.
"Sorry, but I really have to go." said Ash. All three Ghost Pokémon groaned in sadness, wishing that Ash and Pikachu didn't have to leave. "I'll miss you all."
"Uh…" said Haunter, Gengar and Gastly, sobbing loudly.
"Ash? Pikachu?" asked Misty, trying to wake them up after pulling them out from the chandelier.
"Come on, wake up." said Brock.
"Oh, Ash, can't you hear me?" asked Misty.
"Please say something." said Brock.
"Ash, open your eyes. Please, Ash." pleaded Misty as Ash and Pikachu appeared. Trixie looks down at her watch before looking up at the ceiling. Ash faces his sister, who taps her watch impatiently and gestures towards Misty and Brock.
"Huh. I guess it's time to go back, Pikachu." said Ash. "Whoa."
Ash and Pikachu head back towards their bodies, then opened up their eyes. "Hi, Misty." said Ash, looking up at her.
"Huh?" said Misty, then gets teary eyed. "Your alive."
"Pika." said Pikachu, sitting up.
"Riolu." said Meeko, hugging her best friend.
"You knew what was going on with Ash all along, didn't you, Trixie?" asked Brock.
"Yep." she replied, then hits her brother on the head.
"Ow! What was that for?" asked Ash.
"For dropping Misty from the sky." said Trixie.
"That was you?!" Misty shouted, causing Ash to chuckle weakly.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Hey, guys. Sorry to worry you." said Ash.
"No sweat. Glad to have you back." said Brock.
"You took the words right out of my mouth, Brock." said Trixie. Ash then looks up at the ceiling to see Haunter, Gastly and Gengar laughing. "But, Ash, what about the ghost Pokémon?" asked Misty.
"Weren't you going to catch one?" asked Trixie.
"Ah, it's impossible to catch them." said Ash.
"What?" said Brock. "Then how are you ever going to beat the psychic Pokémon?"
"Hmm, maybe I'll have to use my sense of humor." said Ash.
"That'll be the day." said Trixie.
"Riol." said Meeko.
"Huh?" said Misty and Brock.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu, pointing behind them.
"Huh?" they said again, turning around to see Haunter following them.
"Blah!" said Haunter, making a funny face, causing Misty and Brock to scream and run-in terror. Trixie giggles a little bit, which Haunter smiles to.
"So, you're the one who took my brother on a flying joy ride." said Jordan.
"Haunt, Haunt, Haunt." said Haunter.
"All I can say is that you won't do that to me." said Trixie, causing Haunter to nod. Ash laughs as Brock and Misty to continue to run ahead of them. "Pika. Pi, Pika, Pi. Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Riolu, Rio, Rio." said Meeko.
Narrator: Well, it seems it was so much fun playing with Ash that Haunter decided to follow along on his Pokémon journey. Maybe together, their comedy act will knock out Sabrina's psychic Pokémon.
Trixie: And maybe it will help me figure out why I could see Ash and Pikachu in their spirit forms.
Meeko: Riolu
Narrator: Exactly.
Trixie: I hope so.
Back at the Pokémon Tower, Team Rocket were now on the Merry Go Round, screaming as they went around. "I can't take it anymore." screamed Jessie.
"Let me off! I'm dizzy!" screamed James.
"Stop the ride! I want to get off!" screamed Meowth. Gastly and Gengar were having too much fun to let them off. "Looks like Team Rocket's throwing up again!" said Team Rocket.
