Elena and Eliza were hanging out in her room with Stefan and Damon to talk about the events of the last twenty four hours.

"Stefan who was that man in the road?,"

'Mm good question, new vampire in town the guards will have fun,"

"Guards?,"

"Oh yeah our talk ok I will give you the simple version after all you have been through. This isn't the first time I've been alive. I was originally born a thousand years here in the original Mystic Falls settlement of vikings. There were a few times of being reborn in between but I was also reborn in 1864 where I met these two rascals,"

"Oi,"

"Hey," the guys exclaimed mock hurt.

"Brats," she laughed as she continued on.

"I was born Elizabeth Mackenzie to Alexandra and Ramon. My family was good friends with the Salvatore's and these two grew up being my best friends. I was engaged to Damon when I was seventeen, old time rules, then Katherine happened. She arrived and she would steal every minute with them. When I managed to get their attention back she hated it. Then right before the first founders party she murdered me and hid my body so that I was never found. She then turned my parents and had them locked in the Old Fell's church,"

"Wait when you got so upset that night Emily destroyed the crystal it's cause you knew your parents are in there?,"

"Yes, but that's not all. What I'm about to say can not leave this room ever. Jenna told me this and said for my safety no one can know. I was adopted too Elena. I am not Eliza Gilbert. I am Lady Eliza Mackenzie the last of my family kept in secret for my safety," as Eliza dropped that news bomb they all sat there with their jaws dropped.

"Wait you're the last Mackenzie?," Damon finally spoke.

"Yes, I actually received my documents from a family caretaker when I came back from my two week trip,"

"Damn, you were reborn right back into the family,"

"They must have known I would find you two again,"

"So you're adopted too? Now I don't feel so bad," Elena took a deep breath at that news.

"Yeah so take it easy on Jenna she knew it would be easier to tell me but you can be stubborn and hard headed,"

"Can not," at that Eliza just gave her a look.

"Back to the matter at hand man in the road. Do you remember anything else about him?,"

"I wish I never really saw his face he was wearing a hoodie,"

"Well he gets points for stealth," Damon piped up as he played with Eliza's hair.

"All I can remember is that there was these black boots coming towards me,"

"I brought some vervain for you and Jenna,"

"No need what do you think is in the greenhouse out back,"

"Wait you've been growing it?,"

"Damon do you blame me this town attracts vampires I want to be prepared cause of who I am,"

"Good point," he said placing his chin on her shoulder from behind.

"Well I made this bracelet for Jeremy, and a few extra for friends,"

"You know you were already wearing vervain when you met, I gave Elena that heart shaped necklace filled with it,"

"Who else has it?,"

"I'll never tell. It's better if no one knows whose wearing it so that it can't be removed forcibly or against their will,"

"Jeremy?," Damon whispered in her ear and all she did was nod to confirm his answer but not so the others would see.

"What about Caroline and Bonnie?,"

"No and yes,"

"Okay so I will give Caroline something, aunt Jenna?,"

"Handled," Elena nodded understanding,

"I know Jackie can't wear any," Stefan pointed out.

"She's actually been drinking it a sip a day to build a tolerance, which you two should start doing too in case of emergency,"

"That's not a bad idea,"

"We'll figure out a way to do so safely," Stefan agreed.

"Well you can put it in jewelry or you can even put it in food or drink. As long as it's in you or on you a vampire can't control you,"

"Wow so much to remember,"

"I know but there's another vampire in town, and until me, Damon, or these guards of Eliza take him down you need to be safe."

Downstairs Jeremy was drawing at the kitchen table when the doorbell rang.

Opening it he discovered the pizza guy.

"Hey it's gonna be 22 dollars,"

"Okay, Elena or Eliza I need money!," he yelled up the stairs.

"You can put it on the table on the door," he said not verbally inviting him in like Eliza taught him.

"Sorry store rules can't enter a customer's home for safety,"

"Here I'll take that then thanks man," Jeremy held out his hand for the pizza.

Elena came downstairs wallet in hand cause Damon wouldn't let Eliza out of his arms.

"Hey come on in, here keep the change," she said from the stairs as she made her way down.

"Thanks, and have yourself a good night," the man said turning and leaving, if only they realized that the 'pizza guy' was actually the vampire who attacked Elena.

Later that morning Damon headed back to the Salvatore house with Stefan and began looking for any clues about where Emily's book could be.

"What are you looking for Damon?," Stefan asked seeing the trail of books on the floor.

"None of your concern,"

"No, but putting Elena in in harm's way that is my concern,"

"What are you talking about?,"

"I'm talking about Atlanta,"

"Oh yeah Elena and I had a blast,"

"I get it you're bitter because one of us get's to be with the person that we love and poor Katherine is just out of reach. Unless there's another way for you to get into that tomb. That what Bree said?,"

"You're pathetic when you're fishing,"

"You're transparent when deflecting,"

"Don't you have school?," as Stefan turned to walk away Damon decided to tell him the rest.

"She isn't the only one in there remember,"

"Oh yeah,"

"Alexandra and Ramon, now you know why I am determined to open it, not just for me," Damon went back to hunting leaving Stefan standing there in shock.

Jeremy was packing up his bag in history when Ric tossed his paper in front of him.

"Surprised? It's a good essay,"

"Yeah an A,"

"Your thoughts are clear and your argument is well laid out. It's just you don't actually think there are vampires in Mystic Falls?,"

"No I mean I think statistically there's been more animal attacks, mysterious deaths, people gone missing, and more than any other place in the whole commonwealth of Virginia,"

"It's conjecture but creative which is why you got the A,"

"Can't wait to show Eliza she will be so happy to know my grades are picking up,"

"Eliza is important to you huh?,"

"I'm closer to her then Elena, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be back on the right track after my spiral,"

"She's a good sister, she has missed a handful of my classes though,"

"She had some health issues it's why I make sure to collect her homework I think she would cry if she couldn't at least do that while sick,"

"Well let her know she is missed and I hope she is doing better and here give her this weeks assignment," Ric handed Jeremy a stack of papers.

"Thanks Mr Saltzman for being so understanding," Jeremy had stood up bag on his shoulder.

"Any time, see you later Jeremy," he said good bye as Jeremy headed out the door all the papers in hand.
