Gunvolt went back into his apartment and woke up Joule by gently shaking her.
"Joule, wake up." Gunvolt spoke.
"GV, what's wrong?" Joule queried.
"Naomi just told me she saw Nova." Gunvolt explained.
Gunvolt proceeded to grab Joule's left hand whilst practically dragging her out of the apartment. Gunvolt and Joule met up with Naomi on the ground floor to talk about their plan.
"Okay, so I suggest we go through the least used alleys and streets. We also want to stay in the shadows." Naomi suggested.
Gunvolt and Joule nodded in agreement.
"Let's go then." Naomi instructed.
Naomi looked at the man with cyan, somewhat spiky hair, and green eyes, as well as a large scar on the left side of his face. He was wearing a standard black Sumeragi officers uniform with gold highlights, a white shirt underneath, a blue tie and a pair of brown boots. His uniform had green stripes on its shoulders.
"It's so good to see you again Naomi." Nova greeted.
"It's horrible to see you again too Nova." Naomi mocked.
Naomi's attention then turned to the man next to Nova.
'Since when were there other people? The only other people I remember in the facility were Nova, Elise and Stratos.' Naomi pondered.
The man looked at Naomi and noticed she was wondering who he was.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jota, defender of the UTU Media Tower." Jota introduced.
Nova made a 'step forward' motion with his right index finger while his right thumb was out as well. Naomi shook her head.
"I'm not going with you, not again! Last time I was placed in the same machine Joule was! I'm not allowing anyone else to get hurt!" Naomi exclaimed.
"Jota." Nova spoke.
"Yes?" Jota asked.
"Grab her." Nova replied while pointing to Naomi.
"What!?" Naomi panicked.
Jota grabbed Naomi by her wrists. What he wasn't expecting however was for Naomi to kick him in the liver. Afterwards she back flipped and kicked Jota in the nose before grabbing Joule and Gunvolt by their wrists.
"We have to go back!" Gunvolt protested.
Suddenly, Jota entered the apartment building and tried to grab Joule by her right wrist.
"Ah! No time!" Naomi shrieked.
Naomi dragged Gunvolt and Joule into her apartment. Naomi grabbed the couch.
"Hurry up and help me barricade the door!" Naomi shouted.
Naomi locked the door afterwards while Gunvolt and Joule grabbed books and other random objects to place on the couch.
"Alright. Now all we have to do is jump out the window again." Naomi instructed.
"Jump out the window!?" Joule worried.
"If it makes you feel better we'll catch you or you'll get caught by Nova and Jota. Your pick." Naomi answered.
Joule knew good and well she'd rather jump out a window. Naomi went first, followed by Gunvolt. Joule went up to the window and looked down to see her friends waving at her. Meanwhile, Jota managed to break the door down. Joule turned around nervously to see Jota smiling menacingly while looking at her.
"Eek!" Joule screeched.
Joule jumped out the window without any second thoughts. Naomi noticed this and ran left to right while shouting.
"I've got ya! I've got ya!" Naomi hollered.
As soon as Joule fell to the ground Naomi caught her but Naomi tripped over Gunvolt's right foot and fell over his left foot too.
"I've got it." Naomi moaned while giving Gunvolt her right thumb up.
"Are you okay Joule?" Gunvolt asked while pulling Joule up.
"I'm fine." Joule responded.
Naomi's body made a dent in the ground that resembled when she tripped. Joule looked down at Naomi to see she looked like when someone squished a bug in animated cartoons. Joule giggled a bit.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I look like something that got run over in a movie." Naomi muttered.
Joule giggled again. Naomi got up and dusted herself off.
"We'd better hurry and get to HQ." Gunvolt suggested.
Everyone got to the building. Since Gunvolt was in front and Naomi was in the back, he swiped his employee card and the doors opened. Everyone managed to squeeze into the elevator.
Naomi pressed the button for the tenth floor. After they got out, Naomi was trying to run to Moniqa but tripped and fell again. Zeno noticed this and walked over.
"Where's the fire?" Zeno quipped.
"I'll put you OUT, of a job if you say anything about this." Naomi sneered.
Gunvolt and Joule walked over as Naomi got up and dusted herself off.
"So, why are you guys here?" Zeno asked.
"Nova and Jota are on our tail." Naomi answered.
