At the Salvatore house Damon waited for Stefan to come home he knew it had to be him if it wasn't the tomb vampires that were robbing the blood banks despite Lexi being in town.

"How was school?,"

"Fine,"

"Yeah? Same old, same old? Nothing new? No stories to bring home?,"

"You're making small talk why?," Stefan asked as Damon walked towards him.

"You seem awfully chipper. Less doom and gloom since Lexi arrived. Little more pep in your step,"

"And you think it's because I drank human blood again despite Lexi being here to help me get back on the wagon like I promised Eliza I would,"

"I mean i don't want to brag but I would definitely take responsibility for this new and improved you,"

"Right well I hate to burst your bubble but I'm clean."

"Yeah not possible,"

"Not only is it possible but it is quite true,"

"Stefan let's be serious for a second. You've spent the last century and a half being a poster child for Prozac, and now you expect me to believe this new you has nothing to do with human blood. Nothing?,"

"I'm clean,"

"Plus I would know if he cheated," Lexi piped in coming around the corner from where she had entered in through the kitchen door to keep a low profile while around.

"Are you sure about that?,"

"Pretty sure," she nodded following after Stefan.

"You're lying!," Damon called after them.

"Believe what you want," Stefan shrugged.

An hour later Stefan after ending a call with Elena headed downstairs to break into the blood stash watching his surroundings for Damon.

"Well well he's a liar and a thief," Damon stood arms crossed in the doorway as Stefan stood in front of the open freezer.

Turning to face Damon Stefan knew he was busted when Lexi stepped up behind him.

"So when were you gonna share,"

"Go ahead, help yourself,"

"No I'm talking about the fact that you're a closet blood junkie,"

"I'm disappointed in you Stefan I thought we were making progress,"

"So I'm drinking blood again you're the one that shoved it on me. What's your problem? I have it under control,"

"Under control? You robbed a hospital,"

"So what's your point?,"

"Stefan you're the reason the council is in vampire mode again like Damon has been talking about," Lexi shook her head this was going to end bad.

"Fine. Whatever man. Drink up. Just remember we're trying to keep a low profile. Why don't you just walk up to Sheriff Forbes and ask her to tap a vein,"

"Have my actions negatively impacted you? I can't imagine what that must feel like,"

"Yeah. What does Elena or Eliza think about the new you? Or the fact you broke your word to Eliza after 150 years of having her trust,"

"Nothing's changed i'm still the same person both girls know,"

"Clearly,"

"Elena doesn't need to know anything. Eliza I will explain to in time,'

"You've been off the human stuff for years Stefan for a specific reason," Lexi pointed out trying to get through to him.

"You know what I'm good Lexi if you wanna leave town again that's fine by me,"

"Fine," she turned zooming out of the house to leave town.

"If you're having trouble,"

"I'm not having trouble,"

"Who do you think you're talking to? I know what it's like. Jekyll and Hyde feeling. That switch. Sometimes it goes off, you snap. Right now is not a good time for me to be worried about you snapping,"

"I know that it pains you to see this,"

"Mhm,"

"But I'm fine. Okay? I'm fine. So please do me a favor and back off," Stefan said grabbing a couple of bags and leaving.

It was mid day when Eliza had to go face the council for the Miss Mystic Falls interviews.

"I know I haven't been involved much after my mother Miranda passed away, but I know how important this was to our family. I would very much like to be involved for her memory. I promise to put my all into this every step of the way,"

"Thank you Miss Gilbert you may go,"

"Thank you Mrs Lockwood," Eliza said exiting the room taking a deep breath happy it went better then she expected.

The next step was the dance practice. Thankfully she had Tyler as a practice partner and he was happy to help.

"Honor your partner," as they were instructed the boys and girls bowed to each other.

"Let's focus, right hand around. Flirt with your eyes. Left hand around,"

"This is ridiculous," Elena giggled as she and Stefan danced Eliza seemed to be the only one taking it seriously.

"Both hands,"

"You're only saying that because you don't know how,"

"Sorry only one of us was around when the dance was invented,"

"Ouch, and technically two," Stefan laughed as he grabbed Elena's hand spinning her.

"No, no, no there's no touching during this part. It's about the simple intimacy of the near touch. Very nice Amber," she complimented as she stepped back to where she led them.

"Thank you Mrs Lockwood," she was happy she was being accepted since she wasn't a founding family member.

"If you ask me the near touch is over rated,'

"You seem to be in a good mood,"

"Is that a bad thing? Would you prefer me to be brooding and tortured?,"

"God no 150 years of that let's embrace this side of you for a bit," Eliza joked overhearing his remark.

"Hey i'm not complaining," she pointed out to both of them.

"Oh no touching," Stefan smirked as they finished dance practice.

Class was just finishing up and Eliza hugged Tyler and thanked him for being her dance partner today while Elena and Stefan were heading to collect their belongings when Bonnie entered the room.

"Bonnie, hey,"

"Hey how are you?,"

"I begged Bonnie to fill in for Matt. He had to work today,"

"Bonnie do you have a minute?," Elena asked hoping to fix things with her.

"Hey Bon, just give her a second or she wont stop," Eliza whispered as she hugged Bonnie while on her way out.

"We only have 30 minutes for rehearsal,"

"It'll only take a minute," Bonnie agreed and together they stepped out into the hallway to speak.

"You have to tell me what's wrong,"

"She has the right to keep her thoughts to herself," Eliza spoke up where she stood texting on her phone.

"It's not worth talking about,"

"What do you mean not worth it? you've barely said ten words to me, and you won't even look at Stefan. Is that what it is? Is it Stefan?,"

"Listen. Elena I can't just pretend like everything is okay. Everything my grams did was to protect us from those vampires in the tomb aside from Eliza's parent's. And now they're out which means she died for nothing,"

"I'm so sorry Bonnie. What can I do to make it better?,"

"That's just it there's nothing you can do. I blame him Elena, him and Damon. And I'm not going to put you in a situation where you have to choose sides. I'm just having a hard time with it,"

"But why don't you blame Eliza?,"

"Cause all she wanted was her parent's. If I was in her shoes I would want the same. She gave us help in the form of my cousin Greta, her friends rush us all to the hospital trying to stop it from happening, and she was distraught she has been through enough,"

"Thank you Bonnie," Eliza thanked as she turned to leave the building giving Elena a 'told you so' look.
