It was over, he had won, standing over the fallen form of Shao Khan, Alexander LeVille Harris was the True Champion of 'Mortal Kombat'. He was covered in a mix of the Outworld Emperor's and his blood and thanks to that, his cuts, piercings, broken bones, and bruises were healing. His vest was almost completely off and his trench coat was in tatters. He fell to his knees as the energies from Shao Khan went into him, Sonya Blade had seen him as the crowd cheered for his victory and knew he was about to fall so she was about to move to him when Sindel flew over to him and caught him in her arms.
His chin was on her shoulder as his eyes closed and he fell into the realm of dreams. "Rest now, my son." She said, "You deserve it." Xander was down for about a week, the Earth-realm heroes had not left because they wanted to know if he was going to be alright. Sonya had walked up to Sindel's throne room. "What can I do for you, Lt. Blade?"
"What kind of relationship do you have with Xander?" She said
"Alexander is my adopted son, I love him with all my heart. When I died and those damned Powers That Be took Xander they promised me they'd protect him."
"They did," said Sonya.
"By turning him into a fool for the so-called Slayer?"
"It was better than being a slave to Khan." Sindel lowered her head, Sonya was right. But to be a fool to a little girl with some powers?
"Well, with the defeat of Shao Khan, the Slayer might not be on top anymore."
"Fujin and the Elder Gods had a little 'talk' with the Powers anyway, I don't think they are going to do anything to him anytime soon."
It was time for Xander to go back to Earth-realm, he was surrounded by some of the others. "My son, this is where we say good..." Started Sindel.
"No mother," he said. "Don't say goodbye, say 'farewell'. We'll see each other again, I mean come on, I am the Grand Champion." The Empress chuckled and kissed him on the temple.
"Well farewell then, my darling son." Then Jade walked up to him and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you for avenging my father my..." Xander raised an eyebrow, "I mean Xander."
"It's alright Jade, it was my pleasure." Then Kitana walked up to him, he scratched the back of his head. "Uh yeah," he was blushing. "So I guess, I'll be seeing you again, I mean, I had a great time and if everything was different we could...muph!" Kitana grabbed him and planted a big, wet kiss on his lips. 'It's a good thing she didn't have that fatality.'
"I love you, Alexander Harris." She said, "I've always had." Xander was in shock.
"Whoa, but why would a crown princess like you, would ever be in love with a no-talented gnome like me though?"
"You are not a 'no talented gnome'!" She was upset, no one insults the one she loves and gets away with it, "You are so much more than that and you just mean so much to me. I just love you." She grabbed him in a tight hug. Xander blushed and the others started to rib him.
"Alright you guys," he said. "I better go before Kitana decides to make Mom a grandmother, Kitana comes to visit me sometime."
"Xander," said Raiden. "Earth-realm has known of your victory and you shall be hailed as a hero."
"And you have our thanks." Said Fujin, "I will handle the Slayers and their Watchers."
"Thank you Lord Fujin," Xander smiled. "Well, I'll just have to deal with the fame and being hailed as a hero. I'll see ya guys!" With that, he left through the portal and it closed behind him.
"There goes a true hero," said Raiden Nightwolf nodded.
Meanwhile, on a lonely stretch of highway, a portal had opened up and a figure had appeared out of nowhere. He was in a white T-shirt, black cargo pants, a silk grand masters robe, a grand championship belt around his waist, and combat boots on his feet. He had long black hair in a ponytail and blue eyes, he sigh 'Well I guess I'll have to hoof it and see if I can get a ride. Also, find out where I am,' so he started to run and got to the main road. Then he started to hitch-hike, a big rig had showed up and the driver had let him in.
He took the man to the outskirts of Salt Lake City, UT and he thanked the driver. "No, thank you." He said, "for saving our lives and realm." With that, the driver took off. Xander went into the truck stop and went to get something to eat. As he was eating, a highway patrol officer had seen Xander. All law enforcement agents were told that if they had seen Xander they were to take him to the closest city and let the president know that he was home. The officer walked over to him, "Excuse me?" He said, Xander looked up at him. "May I see your ID please?"
"Oh sure," he said as he pulled out his driver's license. "Here you go."
"Mr. Harris," said the officer. "If you would come with me."
"Is there something wrong officer?"
"No, the senator would like to see you and the mayor would like to give you the key to the city." Xander was in stunned silence.
"Wow," he said. So they got into the car and they headed into town and Xander went to an expensive hotel and got the best room there. He got cleaned up as the blood and dirt had washed off of his body. After he got out, he called the front desk and asked for some first aid. Someone had come in and helped him. Then he went to bed and fell asleep with a smile on his face knowing that he was finally home and it was safe.
The next morning, Xander went into his bag to see if he could find some decent clothes that weren't ripped, torn, or bloody and the only thing he found was the outfit Stryker gave him. It was a blue and white under-armor T-shirt, black cargo pants, boots, gloves, and a billed cap. He pulled his robe on and went downstairs to go get some breakfast when he met up with the press and fans.
Earlier in the morning, a group of reporters had come from everywhere wanting an interview of the hero of Earth-realm. One of them was a beautiful woman with long black hair and violet eyes, she was dressed in an expensive dress suit. With her was a young man with red hair, in a T-shirt, jeans, boots and a jacket. "Have you seen 'Smallville' anywhere Jimmy?" She said.
"No Ms. Lane," he said, "I haven't."
"I don't see what's the big deal with this guy, I mean yeah he's cute and all but what's he done that merits all this?" Just then someone came over to her.
"What has he done Ms. Lane?" She said, "only saved Earth-realm from total extinction." Lois's eyes widened, "so yeah I'd say that is a big deal. We are here to speak with him, not ridicule him!" Then another reporter came over.
"I guess you didn't see the special report then." He said, "It was all over the channels. Xander Harris had saved us all." That was when Xander had come down and the reporters had started to swarm him.
"Hold on guys," he said. "One at a time." So he started to answer questions then the chief of police came over to him and put him into a car.
On the way to the capitol building, so they could meet the senator and governor of the state, Xander was thinking about what he was going to tell the rest of the Scoobies. 'I wonder if they are still jealous about what had happened.' He softly sighed and relaxed on the way there. Once there, they got out of the car and went to the building, where they told him that he was going to be the grand marshal of a parade in his honor. Xander was honored because of that.
The next day before he got out so he could go to the parade, he was visited by the Elder Gods. "Elder Gods," he said. "I am humbled and honored by your presence. What is it that I can do for you?"
"It is what we can do for you, Alexander Harris." They said, Xander looked at them confused.
"What is that?"
"We want you to captain a task force that will protect Earth-realm from any more threats to it." They said, "After your win in the tournament we have seen you as a true hero. We have gone to the creator and she has given her permission to give you the powers and abilities of the 'Powers That Be' so that you can empower those who you see fit to work with you in protecting Earth-realm."
"Wow," he said stunned. "I didn't know that was even capable. The powers and the abilities of the PTBs? I accept with gratitude."
"So be it." With that, they had changed Xander's clothes into an exact copy of Stryker's, but instead of a blue and white under-armor T-shirt, it was white and silver. His billed cap had a badge on it and had his badge on a chain around his neck. He put his bag in his closet and headed downstairs to grab a quick breakfast when he was mobbed by reporters.
'Here we go again.' He sighed to himself. The Chief of police had come and picked him up. In front of them was a white and silver 2012 Mustang convertible police car. On the door was a banner with his name on it. He hopped in and sat on the back of the car where the cover was and they took off for the parade.
They drove down Main St with Xander sitting in the back of the car. People were cheering and he was waving at them. People were cheering him, cameras were flashing and they rode to the capitol. "We are all here today," said the Senator. "To thank a very special hero, Xander Harris." The crowd cheered for him, "as I am sure everyone here had seen the special report where he had killed an evil dictator that wanted the destroy our planet. Xander, as Senator of the state of Utah, I give to you the key to the state and our thanks." Xander was handed a huge key and thanked the senator.
"Also, to continue to show our gratitude, we are giving you this 2012 convertible Mustang that you rode in throughout the parade." Xander thanked him again and the people cheered.
The next morning, Xander had got up and was about to check out of the hotel when he met up with a young woman. She was a cute young woman with long blond hair and gray eyes, she was in a pair of jeans, a blouse, a jacket, and sneakers. She was carrying a duffel bag, "oh excuse me." He said when he looked into her eyes. She was terrified, "come on I'll buy you some breakfast."
"But you don't know me." She said timidly.
"Xander Harris," he said as he held out his hand.
"Tara McClay," she said and they shook hands.
"Good, now that we know each other. How's about that breakfast?" She giggled.
"Okay," she said and they went to eat. At the diner, she told him that she was on the run from her family, her father had already killed her mother and she was scared she would be next.
"Don't worry," said Xander. "You're with me now, no one's going to hurt you. Not while I'm around." She hugged him tightly, then they headed for the car. "Where are you headed?"
"Sunnydale, California. My mother told me to look for an old friend of...hers." Then it hit her, "Is your full name 'Alexander LeVelle Harris?"
"Yep," he said. "Why?"
"Before she died, she told me to search for you and Willow Rosenburg."
"Well you found me," he said and she hugged him tightly. He was startled at the hug but he could understand. 'Well come on we got to go. Hope you don't mind but we are going to take the long way around, okay?"
"Sure, I don't mind." So they got into the car and they took off. The next city they came up to was Phoenix, AZ. They pulled up to a hotel and rented a room for a while they got a penthouse room and they had to see all of the city.
"This is a wonderful view." Said Tara looking out the window. Xander had come up behind her and looked out the window as well.
"Yeah, it is a wonderful view." He said just then the phone rang and Xander answered it. It was from the senator's office and he wanted to meet him. So they set up a meeting for the following morning. Tara had gone into the shower to get cleaned up and ready for bed, she was in one of his T-shirts and a pair of her panties, she slipped into her bed and as Xander was taking his shower he was told by the Elder Gods that Tara was to be his first recruit. So they left her a bag with her outfit in and ready for the morning.
Afterward, Xander got out and dressed in boxers and a T-shirt. He got into bed and was almost asleep when Tara came into his room. "Xander?"
"What's wrong?'
"Can I sleep with you?" He moved over and she slipped in, she snuggled against him. She hadn't felt this safe since her mother was alive. So they both fell asleep and awaited the trails for the next day.
Meanwhile, a young man and his girlfriend were cleaning out a nest of vampires after the final one fell, they had walked out. The man was black with pharaoh braids on his hair and brown eyes. He was in a sleeveless under-armor top, cargo pants, gloves, and boots. He wielded twin short katanas and a hunter's bow, his girlfriend was white, had dishwater blond hair and silver eyes, she was dressed in the white version of his outfit. "CJ," she said. "I'm a little worried about..."
"Don't worry Terry," CJ said. "Everything's going to be fine." That was when there was a bright light and they had to shield their eyes.
"Clarence Johnson the third! Teresa Williams! We are the Elder Gods and we are here to make you an offer!" They said.
"What offer?" Said CJ3.
"To help protect Earth-realm."
"How are we going to do that?" Said Terry.
"By joining up with a man named Alexander 'Xander' LaVelle Harris."
"XANDER HARRIS?"
"You have heard of him, good."
"Xander Harris is a..." Started CJ3.
"He is your champion, isn't he?" Said Terry.
"Yes, he is our champion. He will teach you as much as he can."
"We'll take the training."
"Good, we will take you to he is right now." So they disappeared and reappeared where Xander and Tara were.
They had appeared in Xander and Tara's room, "where the hell are we?" whispered CJ3.
"i don't know." Whispered Terry, that was when Xander woke up.
"You must be the recruits," he said tiredly. "Welcome to the team, there is a room next door to ours you are welcome to it. Good night," he went back to sleep. The next morning they got up and Tara went to the bathroom and started to take her shower.
She saw Terry and she smiled, "Oh good morning." She said, "You must be one of the recruits."
"Um, yeah I'm Terry." She said.
"Tara, nice to meet you."
"You, too." Later Xander got up and took his shower and got dressed going to talk to the governor of Arizona. Who told him about the parade for him and that he was going to get the key to the state. Then he came back to his room and met up with the others, he found out that they were Hunters and he welcomed them onto the team.
The next morning, Xander had asked for his team to ride with him in the parade and they had agreed to it. So they got on and did the parade as the car was surrounded by SWAT team vehicles and they pulled up to the capitol building. They met the governor and got the key to the state. They also gave him a SWAT team mobile command unit, with that they had left.
CJ and Terry were in the MCU as Xander and Tara were in the car. They continued to Las Vegas and Reno, NV they had parades, got the keys to the cities and gambled some, Xander was asleep as Tara was cuddled up to his left while another woman was to his left. They had met up with a human/vampire hybrid named Kassandra, who was his other bedmate, a werewolf/ bounty hunter named Jason, a succubus named Kathrine, and a pair of twin sisters named Veronica and Vanessa who are uncalled slayers.
Everyone was now in a bigger MCU that was part bus and part RV. Tara was driving with Kassandra acting as co-pilot following CJ3 in MCU 1, following Xander in his cop car with Veronica and Vanessa in it, and following Kathrine on a motorcycle. As Xander was driving, he heard "IMMA BARBEQUE YOUR ASS IN MOLASSES!"
"You watched 'Smokey and the Bandit' again didn't you CJ?" He said they laughed. "Okay, 'Junior, when we get home, Imma punch your mamma in the mouth 'cus there's no way, NO way you came from mah loins!' How's that?" After a few more 'Smokey quotes', they made it into California.
"Okay," Xander said. "We have to a huge manor."
"There it is!" Said Tara, pointing to a huge, fenced-in manor. So they pulled up to the gate and inputted the code to let them in. They went in and drove all way to the manor.
"Okay, last stop." He said and they all got out and walked into the house. "Okay, go and choose your rooms. Then I'll have to enroll some of you guys in the school." Vanessa had stopped him.
"I'll do that," she said.
"Alright, you take care of it and we'll get some supplies for school." He said, so they did and went to bed to get up in the morning for school.
The next morning, everyone was up and ready to go. Vanessa and Veronica were in their robes and nighties or Veronica's case, nothing at all. "Okay, guys have a good day at school and try to keep out of trouble." Said Vanessa.
"Don't worry Van," said Xander. "It's us."
"That's why I said it." With that, she kissed him on the lips and they went to the garage, got in a couple of trucks, which they had bought last night, and headed out for Sunnydale High.
"Well," said Veronica. "There they go," she slipped an arm around her twin's waist. Then she spun her around and kissed her passionately then lifted her onto the counter top and they made out.
Meanwhile, the gang pulled up to the school, once there they got out of the trucks and walked into the school. Xander was dressed in his gear while everyone else was dressed in T-shirts and jeans or skirts. They went to the office to sign up, then they were assigned a locker and placed their stuff in them. Just then, the bane of Sunnydale High showed up behind them. "Well, well, well look who crawled out from the muck? Alexander Harris and he fancies himself a cop. TAKE THE UNIFORM OFF! You Are Poisoning It!" He said they looked at the man.
"Principal Snyder, so good to see you," Xander said in a sarcastic tone. "I don't think I'll be taking this uniform off."
"You will or I'll expel you from this school and..."
"Then I'll call the police about your behavior at this school and contact my lawyers to sue your ass." Snyder was sweating Xander had his nuts in a sling. He pulled out his cell ready to call them.
"WAIT!" Xander looked at him with the phone to his ear. "Alright, you win." Xander hung up the phone and put it away.
"See? We can be civil now can't we?" With that, they left and went to their first class.
After a few hours, it was lunchtime and they decided to go to the library and see the 'Scoobies'. On their way, they met up with Larry and some of the 'Jock squad'. "Jocks," said CJ3, "I hate jocks." Terry just sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Hey, why are cute girls like you hanging with these losers?" Said Larry.
"Because maybe they don't want to deal with second-string jocks like you." Said CJ3, Larry got mad.
"What did you say loser?" With that, he swung at CJ and someone caught his fist. He was dressed in a white and silver under-armor T-shirt black cargo pants, boots, gloves, and a billed cap. His billed cap had a badge on it and had his badge on a chain around his neck.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said, Larry, sneered at him.
"Who are you?" Said one of them, he lifted the bill of his cap and they saw him. "HARRIS?"
"Bingo, now go on, get!" He said as he shooed them away.
They came up to the library, "I can't wait to introduce you to my friends."
"I can't wait to meet them, Xander," said Tara. "They seem nice," The others nodded.
"Okay, let's go." He started to open the door but, unknown to them Xander was about to get gang tackled.
Ten minutes earlier, the 'Scoobies' had heard that Xander was back in town. They all had known what he had done and wanted to give him a hero's welcome. Willow had seen him coming out of the corner of her eye and was giddy. "He's coming, he's coming, he's coming!" She babbled.
"Okay, let's go." Said Xander as he opened the door and about ten seconds later, he was knocked out of the doorway by a missile with a red-haired warhead. "Ow," he said. "It's good to see you too Wills."
"Welcome home, welcome home, oh welcome home!" She babbled then she helped him up.
"Thanks for the warm welcome Wills." He said and hugged her.
