Chapter 2

(On the way to school)

Peter was driving down the street with Petra looking at him. "I won't sugar coat it," he sent. "I'll tell you what's going on." So he did, he told her he was Spider-Man in another life, that he was, somewhat liked at first, but then he told her all about everything he's been in. Inferno, Infinity War, Spider-Island, the war against the Inheritors, and then he told her about Superior Spider-Man. She was horrified about what Ock did to her brother.

"So, that's it." They pulled up to the school, she looked at him.

"I got your back Pete," she said. "Don't worry, you are loved here. Hell, Stark bought the Bugle and cleaned house all because they wanted 'dirty laundry' over what happened to you when you were killed in that explosion."

"Wow," he said. They walked into the school and walked in. The girls looked over at them and started to blush at him. One of them walked up to him, she had long blond hair and blue eyes. She wore a white blouse, red tie, blue skirt and blazer, nude stockings, and black 'mary-janes'. She had her hands on her hips and glared at Peter.

"I thought, we agreed that I was supposed to keep an eye on you." She said, "You're still sketchy a little." He kissed her, and she got flustered.

"Good morning, Arte." He said, Petra just laughed. 'Arte' looked at Petra, smirked, grabbed Peter, and kissed him passionately. Then she snuggled in his arms.

(Lunch)

Peter, Petra, and 'Arte' were eating lunch when a young woman came over to them. She had pale skin, and vivid purple eyes, and was in a T-shirt, jeans, and sandals. "Hey Rae," said Peter. Now, I know what you are asking, and yes he's been with Raven Roth. Oh, also when he was reborn in this universe, he had received the memories of his counterpart. He knew his friends and what was going on.

Rae ran right to him and glomped him tightly. He hugged her back. He had felt wetness on his shoulder. "Hey," he said. Petra and Arte just looked at them. Arte was stroking Rae's back.

"Peter's going to be fine Raven." Said Petra.

"But it was my fault," she cried.

"No, it wasn't." Said Arte, Raven was feeling remorseful over what she had done that led to Peter's death.

"Yeah, even if it was." Said Peter, "which it's not. I'd still forgive you." So they ate and continued their day.

After school, Artemis, Raven, and a guy with red hair were following Peter and Petra to their house. Raven was riding with Artemis on her bike. The guy was in a red T-shirt, jeans, and boots. He was on a bike as well.

(Parker home)

"Aunt May, we're home." Said Petra, to no answer. "She must be out." There was a note.

Kids-

Had to pop into the store. Needed a few things, Peter Carol said she would be dropping by, to see how you are doing. I am so glad you are alright, and I never say this enough, I love you both.

The twins blushed as Arte, Rae, and the redhead started ribbing them. They went to the living room to set up for their study session. Meanwhile, Peter was getting something to drink when he got a message on his phone.

[I don't know how you are alive. I guess, the 'Laughing man' and I have to do better next time.]

"Huh?" He said, "Hey Pet!" He called.

"WHAT?" She called back.

"C'mere!" So she did.

"What's up?" He showed her the message and she paled. "Oh my god."

"What? What is it?"

"That Son Of A Bitch!"

"What?"

"Norman Ozbourne!" Peter paled.

"Green Goblin?"

"Yeah, he was the one that set your death up."

"Why?"

"To get at me."

"Is the 'Laughing Man' who I think it is?"

"Joker? Yeah."

"Son of a bitch!"

"Okay, how did he get this number?"

"He has MJ's phone. Joker has Black Cat's."

"Why?"

"I forgot, you have holes in your memory. They were both killed in a movie theater. Laughing gas was filtered through, killing everyone in there."

"Damn. So what do we do?"

"They're planning something," just then Arte came in.

"What's going on guys?" She asked.

"You can trust her." Said Petra, Peter showed her the message.

"That bastard!" She said, "Whatever you need Pete, Roy and I got your back." Peter nodded, "ROY!" The Redhead walked in.

"What?" He said.

"We have a problem." She shows him the message.

"How in the Hell…?"

"It's from MJ's phone." Said Petra.

"Damn and Pete didn't know what happened?"

"No." Then Raven came in.

"So I guess he's going to taunt the twins?" She asked. Peter started to pace the kitchen, and just then there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it," said Peter. "Might be Carol." So he walked to the door and opened it. Behind it was a gorgeous blond She was in an Air Force T-shirt, cargo pants, boots, and her dog tags. "Hey, Carol." She looked at him with tears in her eyes.

"Peter." She hugged him tightly and kissed him.

"Yeah, sorry I…" He started.

"Stop, it wasn't your fault." Petra had gone over to welcome her in.

"Hey, Carol." She said and hugged her.

"What's going on?" She took Peter's phone and saw the message. "Goblin and Joker?" Peter sighed, he didn't want her worried about him. But she loved him.

"Yes."

"I got your back Pete." She said, "I love you." She kissed him again.
