Chapter 5: Rito and Kyouko's Chat
After making out for some time, Rito and Haruna broke off their kiss.
(Rito): O_O… Sai…
(Haruna): Haruna… Call me Haruna from now on.
(Rito): Okay… Haruna.
(Lala): Wow…I wish that Rito would kiss me like that.
With Lala's statement, Rito and Haruna remembered that Lala was in the room.
(Rito): La..Lala…
(Haruna): We… um…
Sensing the approaching awkwardness, Rito decided to change the topic.
(Rito): Oh yeah, Haruna… we have some serious things to tell you.
(Haruna): Serious things?
(Rito): Yeah. We got a call this morning from Lala's parents. They told us that apparently, Run's parents, the king and queen of Memorze, are pissed about what happened to Run, and they now have it out for me, Lala, and perhaps even the earth as a whole.
(Lala): They demanded that my parents either publicly execute Rito, hand Rito over to Run for marriage, have me issue a nude public apology to Run, or hand me over to the Memorzians so they can beat me up in public. Of course, my parents declined all of those demands.
(Rito): So now, the Memorzians might be sending assassins or kidnappers out for Lala and I. Of course, we were warned that those close to us should be careful as well.
(Haruna): That's terrible! Those are such extreme demands!
(Rito): I know. That's why tomorrow, we're planning to see if we can meet up with Run and talk things out with her. We're hoping that we can resolve this whole situation peacefully. We were wondering if you would want to come with us, since you also fought with Run.
(Haruna): I… *Haruna looks pensive*... I'll come.
Rito and Lala noticed the pensive look on Haruna's face when she said that.
(Rito): Are you okay Haruna? You don't have to come if you don't want to.
(Haruna): It's okay. I'll come. It's just that…she completely humiliated me. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't a little mad at her. However, another part of me does understand her pain and what she may have been feeling at the time.
(Lala): Yeah I get that.
(Rito): By the way, Momo will be coming with us to act as something of a mediator just in case. After all, the three of us are the ones that Run had the issues with. However, Run is on good terms with Momo.
(Haruna): I see that makes sense.
(Rito): Anyway, we never did do our shopping for Mea's birthday presents. Do you girls want to go and do that now? After all, we have time since we are suspended.
(Lala/Haruna): Yeah.
(Lala): And then, Haruna can come over to our house and stay for dinner. Actually, she might as well stay the night since we'll be meeting up with Run together tomorrow. Plus, since Haruna was involved with this conflict, it will be safer for Haruna to be with us just in case the Memorzians target her as well.
(Haruna): Yeah. That's a great idea. If that's okay with you…Rito.
(Rito): Of course it is!
With this, Rito and the girls went out for a day of shopping for Mea's birthday presents. They also got some lunch and then headed home to the Yuuki residence where Momo had been staying and watching Celine. They informed Momo of all that had gone on that morning, from the meeting with Haruna's parents to the arrangement of Haruna staying the night (although they skipped the part about the make out session). Eventually, Mikan and Nana returned home from school and learned of Haruna staying over. Of course, Momo had already had dinner prepared, so Mikan did not have to cook. All was going well. Everyone was eating or chatting or playing video games. Then suddenly, the doorbell rang.
(Rito): I'll get it.
Rito opened the door to find Kyouko standing there.
(Kyouko): Hello, Rito-kun.
(Rito): Kyouko-chan!
(Kyouko): Rito-kun, can I speak with you outside in private?
(Rito): Sure. *Looks back at everyone else* Hey guys, I'm going to step out with Kyouko-chan for a while.
(Everyone else): Okay.
Rito and Kyouko step out and walk a little distance. Little do they know, Momo sneaks out and stealthily follows them in order to eavesdrop on them. Additionally, the two of them paid no mind to the random pedestrians who were looking at them. After all, as a celebrity, Kyouko was used to this, and Rito also assumed that people were probably just enamored with Kyouko. They didn't know that later, they would come to regret not paying attention to those people.
(Kyouko): Rito-kun, I heard about what happened between you, Run-chan, Lala-san, and Haruna Sairenji.
Rito gulped.
(Kyouko): Run is very hurt you know, emotionally I mean.
(Rito): I know, and I plan to hopefully make it up to Run and patch things up with her soon.
(Kyouko): Is that so? Well before you do that, let me ask you this. What is Run to you?
(Rito): Huh? What do you mean?
(Kyouko): How do you actually feel about Run? Do you actually listen to the CDS that she gives you? Do you watch Magical Kyouko? I want to know just how you see her.
(Rito): Well… I'll be honest. I don't really know much about Run personally. I've just never really spent much time with her, and whenever I have, there has usually been some negative aspect to it. For example, the time that I spent with you and Run on the day when I first met you was based on false pretenses, since she had falsely told you that I was her boyfriend. Then, there was also the time when she used some mind control camera to make me go crazy and take lewd pictures of her. There were also the times when she irresponsibly let that skunk that turns people into children out. She even used to stalk me, and once, she technically tried to rape me by using some aphrodisiac perfume. Finally, there was this most recent fight incident. Of course, my admittedly adversarial relationship with Ren doesn't help either. If I'm being honest, Kyouko, I actually kind of prefer you over Run.
(Kyouko): *shocked and blushing* O_O You p…prefer me over Run?! *slightly shouting when asking this*
(Rito): Yeah. As for your other questions, I do listen to Run's CDS sometimes and I watch episodes of Magical Kyouko from time to time. Look…I'm not saying that I hate Run or anything like that. It's just that, as things stand, I can't really say that I have the best relationship with her. Besides, I think that the only reason she even fell in love with me to begin with is because Ren and I once accidentally kissed, back when those two were still sharing a body.
Kyouko's eyes became somewhat tearful at hearing this. Meanwhile, Momo was just dumbfounded at what she had heard. She had no idea about some of the events that Rito had spoken of.
(Rito): On top of all of that, I'm already torn on choosing between two girls that I already happen to like.
Kyouko's eyes widened upon hearing this.
(Kyouko): Would those two girls happen to be Lala-san and Haruna-san?
(Rito): Yeah
(Kyouko): *A few tears fall* Rito, you need to be truthful with Run-chan. You may even need to just properly break things off with what little relationship you have with Run instead of trying to "make it up to her" and giving her false hope. It sounds to me like you simply don't like her very much, and based on what you have said regarding your history with her, I can't say that I really blame you. Just please let her down easy already so that she can move on.
(Rito): Yeah, you're probably right. The problem however, is the assassins and kidnappers that her parents may be sending after me and Lala.
Upon hearing these words, Kyouko looked like she had been smacked in the face.
(Kyouko): Assassins and kidnappers?!
(Rito): Yeah
Rito went on to explain to Kyouko the warnings that Gid and Sephie had given him, as well as the ludicrous demands that Run's parents had given. To say that Kyouko was shocked would be an understatement.
(Kyouko): OH MY GOSH! Does Run know about this?
(Rito): I'm not sure. That's a part of what I want to talk to her about tomorrow.
(Kyouko): I see…Do you mind if I come with you guys tomorrow to talk to Run about this stuff?
(Rito): Of course you can come. Actually, that might be a big help.
(Kyouko): Cool. I'll see you tomorrow then.
(Rito): Great. *Slips* Wooahhh…
(Kyouko): Kyahhhhhhhhh!
As Rito and Kyouko were about to turn to part ways, Rito of course slipped and pulled Kyouko's skirt down (revealing her polka dotted panties) while also pushing Kyouko down, falling on top of her, and opening her blouse (revealing her pink bra). Furthermore, Rito's and Kyouko's lips accidentally touched. As Rito and Kyouko stayed there on the ground in their compromising position for a brief few moments, they did not hear the click that went off from a random person's cell phone. After a few moments, they got up while blushing furiously. Kyouko also pulled her skirt back up and closed her blouse.
(Rito): I… I'm sorry! *In thought* Did we just kiss?
(Kyouko): It…It's okay. *In thought* Did we just kiss?
With that, the two exchange cell phone numbers so that they can contact each other to meet up properly, and then they part ways and Rito heads back home. Momo comes out from her hiding spot and reveals herself to Rito.
(Rito): Momo?! What are you doing here?!
(Momo): Heh heh heh… I was watching the whole time, of course. Still… I did hear some alarming things in that conversation. Do you…really not like Run-san?
(Rito): Well, like I said to Kyouko, I don't outright dislike or hate her, but I just don't have the kinds of experiences with her that would get me to like her.
(Momo): I see.
(Momo's thoughts): That's sad to hear, and it's not good for the harem plan. Should I do something to try to help rectify the relationship between Rito and Run, or should we just give up on Run altogether? It pains me to have to let a harem candidate go, but if Rito doesn't like her, then… But wait, there was another interesting thing that Rito said.
(Momo): Rito, you said that you like Kyouko better than Run huh?
(Rito): Honestly, yes. Kyouko is a kind and friendly girl who feels a lot less problematic than Run. Actually, she kind of reminds of Haruna.
(Momo): O_O I see…interesting.
Rito and Momo finally get back home.
(Lala): Momo?! You went with Rito?
(Momo): Yep.
Mikan and Nana give Momo a side eye, causing Momo to chuckle.
(Lala): What did Kyouko want to talk about?
(Rito): Well, long story short, she wants to come with us tomorrow when we talk to Run.
(Haruna): I see…that could be a good idea.
(Rito): Yeah. Well anyway, you girls can use the bath first if you want.
(Haruna): Okay. Thanks.
(Lala): Rito, you should come in with us.
(Momo): Ara… I wouldn't mind that.
(Mikan/Nana): No!
(Haruna): *Blushes*
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Kyouko is walking back to her house. She blushes as she remembers what happened between her and Rito.
(Kyouko's thoughts): Oh my gosh! I can't believe we kissed…even if it was by accident.
Suddenly, a bunch of reporters appear and bombard Kyouko.
Reporter 1: Kyouko-chan, is it true that you are in a relationship with that boy Rito Yuuki?!
Reporter 2: Did you steal him from Run?!
Reporter 3: Do you have any connection to Run's most recent fight at school?!
(Kyouko): Wait…what?! What are you guys talking about?!
(Reporter 1): We're talking about this!
The reporter shoves a newspaper in Kyouko's face.
(Headline): Magical Kyouko star has steamy make out session with the boy for whom Run got beaten up!
The picture under the headline shows the moment when Rito fell on and stripped Kyouko to her underwear and they accidentally kissed.
(Article): Today, the star actress of Magical Kyouko, Kyouko Kirisaki, was seen walking with and having a steamy make out session with the infamous Rito Yuuki, the boy who was allegedly at the center of the recent fight between the idol Run, Lala Satalin Deviluke, and Haruna Sairenji. As can be seen from the picture above, Rito appears to have pushed Kyouko down and even stripped her down to her underwear before engaging in a fierce public display of affection. This image was taken on the cell phone of a man who witnessed the two walking together just moments before their steamy make out session. Perhaps even more interestingly, the man who took the picture, as well as a few other eyewitnesses of the pair, report that Rito Yuuki apparently told Kyouko that he likes her better than Run. What could this all mean? We can't help but wonder now, if Kyouko is involved in the overall conflict between Run, Lala and Haruna. Additionally, what will this mean for the friendship between the two co-stars Kyouko and Run, and will this have any effect on the Magical Kyouko T.V. program? Finally, what is it about this mysterious lady killer, Rito Yuuki, that has so many girls fighting over him? Stay tuned with us as we continue to report on these tantalizing developments.
