Shippuden Begins / 3 years timeskip:
Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, Mina, Hinata, and Shikamaru were walking with Jiraiya and Kakashi on a trail back to the Hidden Leaf village. It was sunny out and they were moving at a top speed, flying through the forest. They had all made it up Korin's tower and made it to the hyperbolic time chamber. Naruto was in the front of the group with Hinata and Sasuke on his right and his left as they flew on.
"Hey, are you really that excited to get back?" Shikamaru asked from behind as he flew next to Kakashi and Neji
"Heh, of course! I want to see how our home looks again. I've almost forgotten honestly" he said as he flew on
Sasuke shared his sentiments silently as he kept moving. Hinata also shared his thoughts as she wanted to see her family and conduct missions with her team. Soon, they were entering the land of fire as they kept moving through the forest. There were trails of energy as they blasted through the clearing. He felt like he could take on the world as he thought of what he would have to face, now that he was done with his training.
As he moved through the forest his speed built up, causing everyone elses' to boost as well.
Naruto was ready to show his full power and he roared to go against anyone. Soon they had landed a few miles away from the village and walked all the way back to the gate.
"Thank you for thinking of us" Mina said in mock annoyance
"Yea, yea, yea. You're right. I'll think about that next time" Naruto said
Naruto wore his shippuden orange and black outfit with his red and black sage coat. Sasuke wore a white jacket, black short sleeved shirt with a set of black shinobi pants and blue shinobi shoes, and a forehead protector with a long black sword. Shikamaru wore a forest green short sleeve jacket, a black shirt, black shinobi pants and black shinobi sandals with his forehead protector wrapped around his right bicep. Mina wore a white tank top, a gray scar, dark blue shinobi pants, black bracers, her forehead protectors, and black shinobi pants. Neji wore his canon outfit with a white jacket, a navy-gray apron, white pants and his forehead protector around his head. Hinata dons a lavender and cream hooded-jacket with lavender cuffs over mesh armor. She also wears navy blue pants, black, low-heeled sandals, and changes the cloth of her forehead protector from blue to black. Jiraiya wore his canon outfit. Kakashi wore his jonin outfit with a weighted white cape he received from Piccolo.
Soon, they were upon the village gates and they saw some strange seals around them.
"Whoa, what are these?" he said walking up the gate examining them closely
Kakashi walked up to analyze some of the seals for himself, as did Jiraiya.
"Seems like the work of an expert" Jiraiya said as an afterthought
Hinata looked at the 3 of them as they looked at the seals in detail, shaking her head. Mina, Neji and Shikamaru sighed as they watched them do the same.
"Yo, sensei, it seems like these are some type of transportation seals, but they're so ancient that only an Uzumaki could decipher them" Naruto said
"I had heard of their resurgence while we were with the White Lotus and Korin's Tower" Jiraiya
"Really?" Naruto asked
"Yes, Kenji was battling near their old village. Though, I'd imagine that they weren't old anymore. Perhaps we'll be able to see their village at some point." Jiraiya said
Naruto smirked as he flipped off the wall and landed on his feet.
"Uzumaki huh? Guess I'll have to make a trip to Whirlpool sometime soon" He said
"Finally, we can get back into the village. And you were the one rushing to get back here" Shikamaru said lazily
Naruto waved him off as he followed them in and they checked at the gate.
"Whoa, you've all grown well." Izumo said
"Yea, I can barely notice it was you all. You look so different now, and you've grown so much" Kotetsu said
"Hehe, things are gonna get crazy sense we came back" Naruto said
"You can say that again. Things are gonna be interesting. Especially since we're gonna be visiting the land of Whirlpools" Jiraiya said
Naruto leapt up to the top of a building and looked around at the village. He spread his hands out to the side raising his hands
"YOOOO! NARUTO NAMIKAZE HAS RETURNED!" He yelled, causing several villagers to look up at him and do a double take. He had begun to look around and he had to body flicker out of the way of a yellow blur.
He floated looking down at his elder brother who looked up at him with a smirk.
"You've gotten a bit faster, squirt. Let's see you dodge this!" he said as he channeled his wind chakra creating an aura of clear wind around him
Naruto smirked as his clear blue, sparking aura around him. Kenji flew around to attack him, throwing a hard right strike. Naruto caught the punch and kicked out causing Kenji to dodge and block a left elbow strike causing Kenji to block the strike back sending him floating across the air.
"Oh, so you've achieved swift release eh?"
Naruto smirked as his aura became more concentrated and darkened in a light blue aura with whirlwinds and electricity around him.
"Humph, now it's my turn!" he said getting into Minato's Hummingbird fist stance
Kenji smirked as he narrowed his eyes as his aura became a fiery reddish orange. Soon, they began to power up shaking the village causing the villagers to sweatdrop and look at them in fear. Hinata looked embarrassed and Sasuke shook his head in exasperation. Naruto landed onto a roof across from his brother as they got into battle stances. Before they could do anything, they felt themselves stiffen, and they couldn't move. They looked to see Shikamaru's shadow stretched across the area stopping the space between both of them
"HEY! TAKE IT TO THE TRAININGFIELDS DAMMIT!" Tsunade yelled
Naruto felt a shiver of fear up his spine as he craned his neck toward her and smiled sheepishly. Tsunade was looking at him in irritation
"Um, hi mom!" he said with a tinge of fear in his voice
Jiraiya walked up rubbing the back of his head
"Oh, boy, you've got to calm down, and not jump into battle so readily. Chill out a bit kiddo."
Tsunade looked at him in a bit of surprise. He looked like he was a bit more muscular and his face looked a bit more defined with a white beard that connected with his sideburns.
"Ji-Jiraiya? Wh-When did y-you grow a beard? You look so…so handsome" she said
"Why thank you princess. You're looking as good as always" he said gently brushing her hair to the side behind her ear. Then, he looked back at Naruto and Kenji.
"Hey, you two, let's go talk to lord Hokage before you get wild," he said.
She looked at him with a blush on her face and a mischievous smile.
"When we get back home, and you get settled in, we'll need to have some private time" she whispered in his ear and kissed him on his cheek. Jiraiya smiled and nodded dumbly at her words, rubbing the back of his head. This seemed to be a running nervous tick in the Senju and Namikaze household. Tsunade looked back at Naruto then back at Mina as she was walking up
"Hey, Aunt Tsuna how ya been?" she asked with a grin
She was not expecting a crushing hug. Tsunade let go and smiled down at her
"I'm good kiddo, you're looking well. Blossoming into a young lady"
MIna blushed at her aunt's words
"Th-thank you auntie," she said, folding her hands in front of her. Tsunade looked over at Naruto and marched over towards him.
She grabbed the boy by his shoulders and enveloped him into a crushing hug. She broke the embrace flicking him in the forehead
"Good to see you too son. Please don't destroy the village so soon" she said
"Oh yea, I got a souvenir" Jiraiya pulled out the Senju root in a sealed scroll Korin gave him and gave it to his wife
"What's this?" She asked in confusion
"That is the root for the senzu beans that Wukong has. Korin gave it to me in good faith that we wouldn't let it get into the wrong hands. It has instant healing effects that can bring you back to life and at full power when you're near death. It's also what saved sensei when he got stabbed by Orochimaru"
Tsunade's eyes widened as she looked at the scroll. She looked back at Naruto and then at Jiraiya.
"Has he mastered it? The fox?" she asked quietly so only he could hear. Jiraiya got a confident grin on his face.
"Not completely. But…he's exceeded my expectations of how much control he's gotten in the last 4 years"
"4 years? It's only been 3"
"That room that the Tsuchikage spoke of. That was were he confronted the 9 tails and tamed its power. Now he just needs to master it" he said as they both looked at Naruto and his friends
Soon afterwards their family members began to show up greeting them, as well as the Hokage to greet his son Shikamaru. They headed to the Hokage's office where Shikaku looked them all over and said
"So what's changed since we went off the grid?" Sasuke asked
"That sand jinchuriki you both fought has become the Kazekage" Kenji said casually
"What? Wow..,I'm glad he did it. Now I have someone to catch up to" Naruto said as he got a stride his step
"What about things in the village?" Sasuke asked after a moment of shock
"Your brother is becoming a jonin sensei soon."
"Really? Never saw him as the type" Sasuke said casually
"And there's gonna be a 5 kage summit in two months"
"That means the threat of the akatsuki are becoming an even bigger threat" Kakashi finally spoke
"So what will happen to us now that we've returned" Mina asked
"Well first we're gonna need to see how strong you all are minus dad because he's be going back to information gathering " Kenji replied
Naruto's ears perked up as he listened intently.
"Since Kakashi trained with you while watching over you both within the compounds of the white lotus, you'll be battling them."
Kenji spoke up
"With all due respect my lord, I'd like my team to battle against Team 7" he said
Shikaku raised an eyebrow in interest and smirked
"Fine, but if you're doing team battles then so will the others" he said
"Shikamaru will also fight against his team, Neji with also fight against his team and so will Mina against her team" he said
They all nodded and Naruto was giddy with excitement.
"Alright! Time to show what we've learned!" Naruto fist pumped causing his teammates and sensei to sigh in exasperation
Soon they made their way out to training field 7. There was Genma and Akino of team 6, Team 9 with Might Guy, Tenten and Rock Lee, Asuma, Ino and Choji of team 10, and Shisui, Ko, and Hana of past generation team 6, all of Team 8 was also there.
"Yo! It's been a long time you guys!" he said as he looked at them
"Yo, Naruto, long time no see" Kiba said as he walked up and fist bumped Naruto
"You seem like you've gotten stronger. Hopefully our teams get to go against each other" Kiba said
"I doubt it. We are here to test Asuma's team" Shino said
"Humph, I'd like to get the chance to see what team 7 is made of. Afterall you guys got the special treatment" Sakura huffed
"Naruto and his team became chunin in the exams. Unlike you all, who got it in the second go of the chunin exams" Kurenai chidded
Kenji walked over to his team and spoke
"Yo, guys we're up first."
"Alright, former Team 6 now known as team crow come forth and stand against Team 7" Shikaku said
Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi stood across from Shisui, Kenji, Ko and Hana with the Heimaru brothers under the afternoon sun.
"Alright, so the goal behind this is to capture these bells from Team 6" Shikaku said passing 2 bells with ribbon links to Ko and Hana, who put the keys to hang from their belts
"So we're doing this the old fashion way huh?" Kakashi said
"Of course, this should give us a good idea of what you can do" Shikaku said
Kakashi and Shisui nodded as their Hokage continued.
"Alright, begin!" Shikaku said chopping the air
Team 7 and Crow jumped into the bushes as they found places to hide and plan. Naruto went on imploring a proactive tactic, creating 10 shadow clones.
"Fan out across the forest and one of you disperse when you see them, while the rest keep an eye out" he said to his clones
Naruto turned to search for his team, moving through the shadows of the forest to find an opponent. As he leapt through the forest, he got a memory from one of his clones dispersing.
'Tch, looks like Ko is taking me seriously. I wonder if I should just go on an all out offensive strike. No, that wouldn't be smart, even if it would drive them out of hiding. Team 6 is full of monsters afterall, and they might not be able to beat them without me' he thought
Soon he began to feel for presences around the area. He went through and signs summoning and planted his hand on the ground
'Summoning Jutsu' he thought
A small yellow and read toad with a few warts on top his head popped
"Lord Naruto, how may I help you?"
"Gamarui, hop into my cloak, we've got a test to pass" The blonde said
"Oh I see" the toad said hopped into his cloak and hid in one of the inside pockets
"So what's this test about?" Gamarui asked
"I'm in a test to take two bells away from my brother's team. I want you to help me infiltrate them and figure out their strategy. I've already sent out 10 clones and one of them was- scratch that 3 of them have been dispersed." He said as he took off into the trees and spotted one of his shadow clones looking at something.
Leaping over near his shadow clone, he looked to see Hana and the Heimaru brothers battling two of his clones. He soon felt his elder brother getting closer to the area.
"Gamarui, hop in my clones cloak and watch Hana. Take this necklace and channel chakra into it, so I can teleport to it when you get the drop on her"
"Right! I won't let you down" the small frog said hopping into his clone's cloak.
"Stay hidden and make another clone if you need to" he said as he leapt into action and his clone jumped away to hide in the shadows to watch the battle.
He looked serious as he pulled up his sleeve and channeled chakra into a seal on his wrist and he summoned a pair of large, three-pointed shuriken with special seals in them, curved edges. He channeled Wind Chakra into them and threw them at the Heimaru brothers and Hana as he used wind chakra to body flicker out of sight.
As Hana's dogs bit through his clones, they had to jump back dodging the shuriken as Naruto landed before Hana while holding his hands out as the shuriken began to hover around him. The Inuzuka shinobi notices his shuriken levitating around him and she draws several shuriken of her own to clash with his levitating ones. She began to worry about her hounds as she held in her weariness.
"You must be the real one" she said as she watched him
Naruto smirked as he sent his shuriken forth with a frightening speed.
"Aquila: Gyakusatsu!" (eagle: slaughter)
The Heimaru brothers dodged and Hana threw her shuriken towards his own. To her surprise the wind chakra tore through her own shuriken but they slowed down his blades. The Heimaru brothers launched at him from 3 directions but he dodged all 3 of them in a fluid motion hitting various pressure points to temporarily incapacitate them. He launched towards her pulling a kunai knife out to swipe at her, causing her to dodge and send a left jab at him. He caught it and flipped his kunai to a reverse grip slashing at her, but she leaned back to dodge. He smirked as she yanked her hand out of his grasp, dodging one of his special shuriken. She grimaced as she had to jump away towards her recovering ninja hounds and dodge the second enlarged curved shuriken, sliding across the ground. She pulled out a kunai with a flash bang, but he sent his two Aquila shuriken towards her.
"Tsk, this is gonna be a nuisance!" she said to channel a bit of chakra into her kunai parrying one while barely dodging another as she got a shallow cut across her left arm.
One of the Heimaru brothers got up and began to nudge the others to move as Hana had to block and dodge an incoming Naruto as he moved in to strike her as she blocked a strong right punch with her right forearm, sending her flying across the forest but not breaking her guard.
He soon had to dodge one of the Heimaru brothers as it tried to bite him. Hana landed as her sandals skid across the ground with a grimace on her face as her arm shook in pain. Then she looked in surprise a the young blond then at Naruto
"Whoa, this Brat is tough" she said went through hand signs
"Wind Style: Toppū bakugeki!" (Gust Bombardment)
She spat out several wind spheres that exploded on contact with several trees and the ground.
Naruto went through hand signs and substituted with a nearby log. Hana channeled chakra to her nose to enhance her sense of smell and before she could do anything, she had to jump over the incoming Aquila shuriken. She had to look around seeing another set of regular shuriken pulling out a kunai countering 2 shuriken and getting a shallow cut across her jonin vest as she rolled into a kneeling position to look around for her opponent. She looked around for a moment, before she whirled around to see an incoming Naruto about to punch her. Soon, she felt a hand on her shoulder and she was teleported away 10 feet from Naruto, who jumped into the trees to avoid the Heimaru brothers, with his shuriken rotating by either side around him.
"Took you long enough." Naruto said and Hana looked to see Kenji looking at Naruto with a smirk on his face.
"You've gotten better squirt" he retorted
As his Aquila shuriken came back to him and he grabbed them out of the air. He sealed them back into his wrist as he didn't want to fight Kenji like this. His body shifted into the killing fist stance and his aura began to swirl and crackle around him. He looked past Kenji as he knew this wasn't the time to go all out but stay efficient in his ki and chakra usage. This only caused his brother to focus on him more.
'So the brat doesn't have the same one track mind anymore' he thought in amusement
He soon felt someone land next to him.
"Hinata, we have to get that bell from Hana, I'll hold off Kenji, you keep on Hana and my clones will be are around to help you" he said
Soon he felt two more of his remaining 9 clones disappear.
"Right. Please don't get carried away in your battle" she said as her Byakugan activated
"No promises" he thought as she leapt around to press onward towards Hana.
Naruto studied Kenji as he figured out a plan of attack. He couldn't overdo it and he had Gamarui waiting to activate his plan to take the bell from Hana. Naruto and Kenji felt a breeze throughout the forest blow past them as they heard Hinata and Hana engage, taking their battle a bit further away from their battleground. There was a torrent of leaves that danced around each of them as their eyes locked. Soon a leaf began to dance and twirl across the breeze, spinning between the two. If they saw it they didn't acknowledge it as they stared down one another.
Soon the leaf touched the ground, and they launched into battle with Kenji rearing back to throw a heavy right, only to fake and send out a knee strike to the chin that Naruto blocked and pushed the leg down sending out an elbow strike. He blocked the attack as he jumped back drawing a hand full of shuriken and throwing it putting his hands in a cross seal
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
1 shuriken turned into 30 as they ripped through the wind. Kenji channeled a great breakthrough to push away the throwing stars aside, causing Naruto to jump back as the throwing stars were sent back. Naruto zipped around his brother in a blur as his lightning and wind chakra flared around him. Kenji held a serious look on his face as a flaming aura flared around him and he performed a backward elbow strike, causing Naruto to have to use both hands to catch the attack. He was pushed back with a great force and he landed with his feet brushing against the ground.
"Wind Style: tatsumaki ken" (tornado fist)
Naruto sent out a gust of wind from the right fist in the form of a tornado. Kenji used his foot to stomp tearing through the tornado blast
"Ryu Ono!" (Dragon Axe)
'What the hell?'
Naruto thought as his technique was torn through and he jumped with a super speed. He flew towards his brother spinning as he flew towards him gathering wind and lightning chakra around his body.
"Subayai Rirīsu: Tatsumaki Senpukyakyu" (Swift Release: tornado ki)
Kenji dodged a high kick as he had to dodge another low kick, jumping away as Naruto pulled out a kunai throwing it towards his brother covering it in wind chakra. Kenji tilted his head out of the way, digging his feet into the ground, pulling out his tanto channeling wind and fire chakra into it. Naruto put his hand on a seal written on his left arm pulling a scythe. The blade is long and curved, coming off the tip of the snath at its heel. The snath itself looks to be made out of wood, and it has two grips protruding from opposite ends that resemble whittled branches.
'Osiris!' he thought gathering ki into the blade grabbing one of the grips toward the head of the blade to collide with Kenji's tanto
The older Namikaze looked a bit surprised as he clashed blades with his brother. Naruto smirked as he pushed his blade forward with a surprising strength and he spun swinging his scythe towards Kenji who ducked the curved blade and Naruto spun around to kick his brother, who jumped back as to not receive a kick from him. He landed on the trunk of a branch and he leapt to the trunk of another branch pushing him forward as he spun and slashed the air, sending out a crescent wave of wind enforced fire. Naruto used his scythe to slash through the flaming crescent wave and used the snath of the weapon to block Kenji's sword causing them to clash.
"Urgh! Dammit!" Naruto said as he pushed him back
Kenji landed on his feet skidding across the ground. They began to zip across the room and clash across the battlefield, with steel grinding and smashing into one another.
*Clank!* *Clank!*
There was a rip through the wind in a brief miss from Naruto as he jumped backwards. Kenji jumped over him and spun around to slash his brother, only for Naruto to twirl his blade to bring down the front of the scythe with a heavy clank.
"Tsk!" he sighed in annoyance sending the downward slash to the side, to lunge forward to stab towards his brother.
Naruto used the snath of his blade to deflect the attack as he kept a look of focus and concentration at his brother. He twirled his scythe around to smack Kenji in the face with the butt of the staff. He turned the staff to the blunt end of the blade and slammed it into his stomach. Just as he did that, Kenji substituted with a nearby branch. Naruto looked around with his scythe in a defensive stance. He took a deep breath as a bead of sweat went down his nose, dropping to the ground. Then, he channeled wind and lightning chakra into his weapon, slashing it through an incoming ball of fire. Kenji's body flickered behind Naruto with an obtuse slash towards his brother's back but Naruto smirked as he pushed the butt of his snath into the man's torso, sending his feet tearing through the ground.
"D-don't get cocky!" He said jumping backwards as a blade slash caused him to jump backwards
With Shisui and Ko:
Sasuke had his sword in a reversed grip blocking a tanto from Shisui as their sharingan eyes met. Well, in Sasuke's case, Sharingan and Rinnegan. They were locked in a clash as their blades sent sparks in the air. Shisui smirked leaning back causing Sasuke to lose his balance and he had to kick off the ground and use his chakra to force himself to flip over him, flipping his sword to a forward grip. Landing on his feet he went to slash, but Shisui spun around and blocked the sword slash from his cousin. Their blades clashed again and they pushed off of one another, throwing several shuriken at one another.
Sasuke stabbed his sword into the ground, while Shisui sheathed his tanto and they both went through hand signs ending on the tiger seal.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" they both chorused blowing large gusts of fire to clash across the field, creating a giant crater.
Sasuke used his senses to search for Shisui's chakra signature. He pulled his sword out of the ground to parry a tanto swipe from Shisui. They slashed at one another to clash and sparks continued to fly as they danced around one another in the clouds of dust and blazing embers. Sasuke smirked using one of his Rinnegans gravity abilities, pushing Shisui's hands to the side and slashing at him. Only for the teleporter to dodge and leap back. Sasuke pulled him forward and he smirked, pushing chakra into his limbs stabbing forward. Sasuke used his sword to block as he dodged the slash and went to kick him in the stomach.
Said Uchiha elder used his forearm to block and he took several steps backwards. He grunted as he leapt back in to clash with him in another deadlock clash. They could hear Kakashi and Ko clashing in the background.
The masked copy ninja was blocking several gentle fist strikes from Ko as he held a strong defense. He got in a counter attack every now and then as he began to slowly pull the battle back into his hands. He pushed a palm strike away and he returned an elbow strike himself hitting the Hyuga's forearm that came up in defense. The pearl-eyed Hyuga hissed in pain from the chakra reinforced strike. The scarecrow jonin brought down his other arm to push down a knee strike and jump back from a two fingered strike. As he landed on the ground he began to go through hand signs at an imperceptible speed, landing on the tiger seal
'Fire Style: Grand Fireball Jutsu!' he thought as he blew out a giant fireball towards Ko who was stoic as he was engulfed by the fireball.
As the fire exploded from impact Kakashi kept his eyes on the burning crater that held residual flames and a charred log. He had to jump as Ko came from underground trying to grab his legs.
"Hmmm, no bad" he said to himself as he saw Ko's hands go back underground
'Can't let him escape' he thought running through hand signs and pressing his hands to the ground
"Earth Style: Underground Rebellion!"
"Shit!" he said in annoyance as he substituted with a ruffed of piece of debris
He yelled as his chakra pulsed through the ground pushing up the dirt, debris, stone and gravel. He smirked as he threw a shuriken that Ko dodged in mid-air. Kakashi put one of his hands in a ram seal causing a seal on his shuriken and a rain of multiple kunai. Ko spun around in annoyance and he looked for something to substitute with. He soon had to jump out of the way of a clone of Naruto as he threw a hail of shuriken, dispelling it. He landed on a branch turning around, drawing a kunai from his sleeve to block a kunai slash from a Naruto clone. He dodged a punch and palm struck the clone away, jumping off of his standing perch throwing kunai at another clone from afar. The clone dodged and began to move in on him in tandem with another. He landed holding out both hands
"8 trigrams: Air Palm Barrage!" he yelled, sending gusts of air to dispel the clones.
Ko spun around on his heels looking to find Kakashi, but he didn't find him in sight. He was annoyed at losing sight of his opponent. Soon he felt a kunai across his jugular and he sighed in resignation as Kakashi took his bell.
"So you used the distraction from the clones to move in on a blind spot of the Byakugan" he said in realization
"Precisely" he said withdrawing the knife away from his jugular vein and backed off
"As expected of the copy ninja" he said bowing to him
Kakashi head up his hands in resignation
"None of that now. Kakashi is fine haha" he said
Back with Hinata:
She was dodging 4 different drills as she kept watch over the battlefield. She felt 2 masses of spinning limbs in a blur and she herself began to spin.
"8 Trigrams Palm Rotation!" she yelled as a blue dome of chakra appeared around her, repelling the two Heimaru brothers.
As she sent them away she landed drawing a scroll from her ninja tool pouch and she opened it, biting her thumb and rubbing it across a seal. Hana looked at her with a scrutinizing look across her face. She channeled chakra into the scroll and a bow and quiver of arrows puffed out. She put the strap of the quiver around her shoulder and she held the bow up, pulling out an arrow from behind her and lining it up with the string as she pulled it back, channeling lightning chakra around the arrow, causing Hana and her nin-kin to move in a way to cause misdirections. This was to no avail because the Byakugan wasn't considered the all-seeing eye for no reason.
Soon, she let go of a lightning coated arrow. Hana dodged the arrow, but the sparks from the lightning hit one of the Heimaru brothers. Hana snarled as the dog yelped in pain struggling to get up. The raven haired Hyuga launched forward to swipe her bow at Hana, who dodged. She used her bow to fend off bites from the remaining two Heimaru brothers and she channeled lightning through the bow, just enough to shock the two dogs and temporarily paralyze them. Hana drew a kunai with a flash bomb attached and threw it at Hinata.
Noticing this, she deactivated her Byakugan, closing her eyes and using her bow to bat away the kunai. As she landed she used her ki senses to enhance her spatial awareness, wild not as good as her Byakugan, she was able to dodge a punch from Hana, and she smirked activating her Byakugan and she struck her in the side.
"Urgh!"
Hana spun around to throw another punch, but Hinata dodged striking her underarm, then her thigh.
"Grgh!"
'I let my guard down thinking I stopped her Byakugan' she thought as she used her remaining leg to stand and keep her balance. She threw down another flash bomb surprising Hinata but soon she had to dodge a Naruto clone as she threw a kunai at it. She briefly saw a frog jump out of its cloak. She tried to jump back but Gamarui channeled chakra into the pendant he held and Naruto teleported in front of her grabbing her remaining arm that could be wielded.
"Gotcha"
Hinata lunged and grabbed her bell hanging from her kunai pouch as Hana dropped to her knee, keeping her balance. Hana sighed as she huffed out in resignation. Naruto then let her go and high-fived Gamarui, disappearing back to Mount Myoboku.
"Humph, you're good. Better than I thought. I figured blocking out your Byakugan was the key to beating you. And Naruto using the Hiraishin is what really surprised me" Hana said
"I figured that. But, I was able to use my ki to enhance my spatial awareness" she said as she unblocked Hana's chakra points allowing her to stand.
Kenji landed near them both with his tanto put away, with Naruto putting his scythe back into the seal on his wrist.
"Well, it looks like our time is over and it's time for the next battle" Kenji said
Looking over at Naruto, he nodded and put a hand on his shoulder
"Naruto, you're no longer a squirt or a brat. Next time we fight, it'll be with no hold bars"
He removed his hand and walked away. When they were back at the starting point for the battles. Team 6 of Genma, Akino, Mina and a tan skinned young man with long red hair in a ponytail, a red flak jacket, a short sleeve white shirt, tan cargo pants, a black tool belt with several special weapons and scrolls and red shinobi sandals. Team 10 confronted them as they began to stand in the middle of the field.
"Who's this guy?" Ino asked
"His name is Tenrou Uzumaki. He's a new addition to our team….after Sozu's unfortunate passing" Genma said
Mina's face hardened as she thought of his death and her fists tightened
"Sensei, is this really a good idea?" Mina asked Genma
"Don't worry, he's learned our abilities and acclimated to the team well" Her teacher said
The blonde haired Namikaze woman crossed her arms looking side eyed at Tenrou who rolled his eyes in reaction causing a vein to pop on her forehead.
"Who are you getting irritated with?!"
"Look, lets just get through this, I don't have time for the childish games ok?" Tenrou said as he fingered a scroll on his tool belt.
"He's right. Stop complaining and get over it" Akino said harshly causing Mina to grumble as she looked away towards the enemy
Shikaku collected the two bells and gave one to Genma and one to Guy
"Alright, this time you all have to get the other team's bell first. Are you all ready?" Shikaku asked in a lazy tone
Genma and Guy nodded allowing him to continue.
"Begin" he said as he body flickered away
There was a tense moment of silence and Team guy moved in immediately. Tenten jumped into action opening a scroll and letting several kunai, shuriken spiked bludgers and other blades fly towards Team 6. Neji added to this by sending an 8 trigrams air palm to combine with it. Tenrou smirked as he pulled out a scroll, opened it and he channeled chakra into it, throwing it at the weapons. Suddenly all of Tenten's weapons began to stick to the disk, allowing all of Team 6 to avoid the remainder of the weapons.
'A chakra magnet?' Mina thought
Genma went through hand signs with Akino.
'Fire Style: Dragon Fire Jutsu!'
'Wind Style: Tempest spear!'
Genma spat out a fire ball while Akino molded a spear of wind between her hands as the flames combined with the spear. Lee grabbed Tenten and kicked off the air, and Might Guy jumped to the side. Neji began to spin in an 8 trigrams rotation. Mina jumped towards the sensei of Team 10 as she powered up with an aura of wind swirling around her. He blocked a punch from her as he punched her in the stomach, sending her flying back.
"Gaagh!" she grunted as she took several throwing stars and spun to throw them at him while landing on her feet
Guy dodged and leapt back further into the forest. The flames died out and Neji stood before them in his gentle fist stance. Lee and Tenten landed in a battle stance in front of where Guy went.
'I was careless. Darn it. Gotta watch the enemy and be proactive not reactive' Mina thought as she looked around at her 3 opponents with a calm look on her face
"Mina, Tenrou, Akino, we can't avoid the Byakugan, but we can hold him off."
"I can handle him" Mina said as she got into her Killing Fist stance
"I'll deal with Rock Lee" Akino said
"I'll handle the weapons user" Tenrou said
Genma nodded as he leapt towards the Guy. Lee tried to interfere, but Akino jumped in the way punching at him as he dodged and jumped back. Tenten threw a boomerang at Akino, which she dodged and Tenrou pulled out a tactical knife to parry her weapon along with pulling out a special type of ball with a seal on it.
"Lee, get back!" Tenten yelled
He did so as the Ponytailed Uzumaki threw the ball forward and Tenten pulled out a several kunai and she channeled chakra into her palms causing the blades to levitate. She held her hand in a ram seal and pointed two fingers towards him, sending the kunai knives towards him.
"Humph!" Tenrou moved forward, parrying away several kunai and dodging 2 of them while simultaneously throwing the ball towards Tenten, who jumped to the side.
As the ball hit the ground and exploded, a burst of lightning tore through the ground, causing Tenten to jump more to the side along with Rock Lee jumping backwards as well. Akino leapt to the side as well, sending a hail of kunai at Lee, who pulled out a kunai of his own parrying the blades. He quickly jumped over the burst of lightning as he kicked at her, causing her to dodge a roundhouse kick and a spinning sweep follow up.
He leapt in and elbowed her in the stomach, sending her reeling in pain as she clasped her torso.
"Guuhh!" the brown haired girl grunted out
She drew a kunai and stood in her fighting stance against Lee. She seemed to be having a hard time against her opponent, more than her other 2 teammates.
Mina was in a battle of hand to hand combat with Neji, which was unsurprisingly not too hard for her. She had been sparring with him and Hinata among several others for 3 years. She slapped away his hand and tried to uppercut him but he leaned back and struck her forearm with a gentle fist two finger strike, blocking off her chakra. She smirked as she reopened the chakra point as she channeled a huge burst of chakra into her arm and tried to headbutt Neji. He countered with the metal forehead protector of his headband. He channeled chakra in both palms and struck forward slamming his hands into her forearms, sending her skidding across the ground with her feet. Mina immediately moved in a zigzag formation towards the Hyuga clan prodigy. His eyes followed her across the battlefield and brought up an arm to block an elbow strike, a chopping neck strike as he blocked with his other forearm, he parried away 2 punches and an uppercut just to slam a palm strike into her sternum sending her feet skidding across the forested battleground.
Mina grunted in pain as she put her hand over the top of her hand and moved her hand down the top channeling ki into the form of a blade to make a blade of wind
"Ninja art: Wind God Slasher!" she said as she moved in to slash out towards Neji.
He began to dodge and redirect her movements away from the blade that tried to slash and skewer him. He continued to control the flow of the battle even if it looked like he was on the back foot of the battle. Mina tried to lash out with a horizontal slash at Neji's chest, causing him to lean back. Mina continued to slash at him, and he smirked as he caught her wrist and he parried away a strike from her other arm, jabbing her forearm again with more force and then the inner of her shoulder. She tried to strike back with her blade of ethereal wind and he gripped her arm jabbing another chakra point in her other forearm. He leaned back as she tried to head butt him again and she received a knee to the chin, making her bite into her tongue and blood dribble from her mouth. He proceeded to do a double palm strike into her chest, sending her flying away from him, spitting out blood, tumbling across the field.
"Blegh!"
Mina began to stand up as her blue eyes gained a colder glint in them as she put her hands in a ram seal.
"Gravity Seal Release!" she said with a calm fury in her voice
Neji narrowed his eyes looking at his opponent in a more serious tone.
"So…you're finally taking me seriously are you?" Neji asked
Mina wordlessly charged forward with her fists covered in wind chakra. He continued to dodge Mina's attacks and he weaved out of the way. He still had to grimace as he felt mini slashed cutting at his hair and barely touched his limbs and face. She enveloped her body in wind chakra and spun around to kick him in his chest, sending his feet skidding across the battlefield. He felt as if I got hit by a train, but he was used to it as he stood back up.
"Humph, not bad" he said as he shook off the pain and proceeded with his battle with Mina
Genma flew through the trees and he planned how he would deal with Guy. He created a shadow clone and he let it hide as he launched after Guy. He drew a kunai, throwing it into the bushes at Guy who was hiding. Said bowl cut shinobi jumped out and tried to kick him away. Genma blocked as he was sent crashing and tumbling across the ground. He rolled back on to his feet and drew several senbon, throwing them at the green beast, but he dodged.
Guy smirked at Genma charging after him and jumping in with a heavy kick
"Dynamic Injury!"
Genma barely rolled out of the way, barely getting a foot to brush past his hair. Genma drew several shuriken in one hand and went through several one handed signs ending on a one handed tiger seal. He threw the shuriken and blew out several balls of fire coating the throwing stars.
"Fire Style: Phoenix flower Jutsu!"
Guy evaded each attack and Genma drew a kunai with a flash bang tied to it and he jumped into the bushes. Guy covered his face as he jumped away barely dodging a hail of senbon that was thrown at him. A stray senbon was torn through his right shoulder and he landed with a serious look on his face. He pulled out the blade from his shoulder and dropped it to the ground.
"Humph, ok then Genma, let's turn it up a notch" he said as he got into his strong fist stance
Guy immediately dashed out of sight and Genma cursed as he had to bring up his arms in defense from a punch from Guy, but he broke his guard punching him in the jaw, sending him flying into a nearby shrubbery.
'Ugh! Oh crap, this isn't gonna be easy!' Genma thought as he struggled to get back up and push himself out of the way of another attack from Guy
Genma went through hand signs ending on the tiger seal
'Fire Style: Dragon's Breath!"
He spat out a wide breadth of flames towards Guy who jumped over the flaming breath. He finished and leaned back as he did a spinning kick. Next Guy landed behind them and he had to substitute with his shadow clone as Guy slammed a kick into him. Guy noticed this as the bandana wearing jonin puffed up in smoke.
Genma hid where his clone was and he took a deep breath as he realized he had burned through ¼ of his chakra reserves. He had a fair amount of chakra left but he knew he would have to burn through his chakra if he tried to beat him in a hand to hand combat. He had to draw a flash bomb looking around his settings in search of Guy. He channeled chakra to his ears to find the footsteps of his bob haircut opponent. He had to roll to the side as he dodged a charging Might Guy.
"Sh-shit! He's too fast" he said to himself and he looked down to see that his bell was gone
Guy looked around at him as he sighed running his hand through his hair
"Haaaa…dammit. I need to get back to training."
"Don't Worry Genma, we'll get back you back to your youth in no time" Guy said
Soon they made it back to the battlefield to see Mina and Neji in an epic struggle, Lee helping up Akino and Tenten huffing against a warn, but still strong standing Tenrou Uzumaki.
"Team 10, our youth has prevailed" he said in revelry causing Mina and Neji to stop fighting
Shikaku smirked
"Alright, the winner is team 9. Next is Team 8 versus Team 10" he said as they handed the bells back to him and he now handed the bells to Asuma and Kurenai
Shikamaru, Ino, Choji and Asuma went to stand in the middle of the clearing across from Kurenai, Sakura, Kiba and Kurenai. Shikaku looked at his son once over and smirked as he realized the lazy yet confident stare he bore.
"Are you ready?" he asked monotonously
Both Jonin nodded and he chopped through the air
"Begin!" he yelled and the 2 teams jumped out of the way with Shikaku moving out of the way completely next to the other watchers.
Shikamaru landed with his team and he looked around at each of them. He assumed that he was being thrown in with them without warning. He decided that he would be an extension of them and work with them, not around them. He looked up to see Asuma begin to speak
"Ino is an adept genjutsu user and in long and close range combat. Choji is a power forward in close range combat, Shikamaru is a strategist along with a long range combatant and I'm a ninjutsu specialist and close range combat specialist. I've taught Choji how to dispel illusions as well, and I'm sure Shikamaru didn't leave the village to not learn how to dispel a genjutsu." he said
"So what's the plan sensei?" Choji asked
Asuma fought the urge to light a cigarette and he spoke honestly
"Choji, you and Ino will run offense against Sakura and Kiba. Next I'll battle it out with Kurenai because of my experience with her genjutsu, Shikamaru will stop Shino and his insects" he said
"Right, let's go!" Ino said and Team 8 moved out to battle
Ino moved with an aggression not seen before as she gathered chakra around her hands moving alongside Choji with Asuma and Shikamaru moving behind them. They split and Choji went forward while Shikamaru went left and Ino followed Choji while Asuma went right.
"Ino seems a bit on edge" Tsunade said
"She's itching to show what she's learned from us. It's only natural" Shizune replied
"Wait, you guys trained Ino?" Naruto asked in surprise
"After what happened to Sozu she wouldn't stop asking. Her progress has been remarkable honestly. We've also been training Sakura in the art of medical ninjutsu as well"
"Heh, they aren't the only ones who trained those two" Anko spoke up
"We all made an effort to help the youth of the upcoming generation to shine" MIght Guy said

Kiba and Akamaru were lying in wait as they surveyed for the other team.
'Time to show what I've got' Kiba thought
He set up a wire trap to bound whoever would cross it, but he was surprised when he saw a kunai slash the wire. He stayed put and tapped Akamaru to have him sniff the wind. He turned around as well to watch their backs, but there was nothing. Suddenly his ears perked up and he looked up and barked as Choji came falling down with a partially expanded fist. Kiba and Akamaru jumped out of the bushes only to have to dodge a hail of senbon from Ino Kiba drew a kunai and deflected the rest as he and Akamaru jumped out if the clearing to gain some ground.
Ino narrowed her eyes as she put one hand in the ram seal and casted a genjutsu on the kunai knives in her hand and threw them at Kiba and Akamaru. The ninja hound dodged completely but Kiba's cheek was nicked as he continued to jump away only to find himself at the edge of a cliff. He saw Akamaru fall off the cliff and he almost panicked as he landed hastily.
"Wh-what the heck? Oh no, genjutsu!" he said quickly as he went to disrupt it
When he did he saw Akamaru dodging another round of shuriken from Ino but he looked up and brought up his arms as he took a punch from Choji sending him flying through the woods.
"Grrr! Ok fine then" he said as he created a shadow clone with his hands in the cross seal. Then he put his hands in the dragon seal
"Man beast mimicry level 2" he said as his teeth, nails and hair grew feral. The thing about level 2 of beast mimicry is that his senses were more enhanced than ever before
He and his clone leapt into a spin hurdle of limbs but they stayed side by side.
"Tunneling Fang Barrage!" he yelled as he tore through the field. Ino and Choji dodged but Akamaru jumped in at the last moment and caught Choji off guard hitting him in the stomach.
Ino threw a senbon at Akamaru hitting him and causing him to be paralyzed while letting out a pained whine. Kiba and his shadow clone grimaced. Then he pulled out several smoke pellets and threw them down as he disappeared from sight around the forest along with his clone. As they were distracted they never saw a pair of hands come out of the ground and pull Akamaru under.
Several yards away Sakura came up from underground with Akamaru and removed the senbon from his leg, but he was still paralyzed. Kiba met up with her soon after
"I've got my shadow clone watching them but it's only a matter of time before they catch it. What's up with Akamaru?"
"Seems like the senbon had a temporary poison on it. He should be fine in a few minutes. Stay with him and I'll go back up your shadow clone for as long as I can." She said as she went back into the battle
Asuma stood in a clearing with his trench knives out in a battle. He knew Kurenai's specialty was genjutsu, so he was constantly disrupting the flow of his chakra, but this made it to where he couldn't use his wind chakra how he wanted, so he was left with taijutsu as his go to, while Kurenai had no such limitation. He soon heard a rumbling and he jumped back as Kurenai's hands came out of the ground and sank back in. He sent a pulse of ki into the ground to check her location but he soon found that she wasn't in that location anymore. He took a chance and put his hand on the ground and didn't disrupt his chakra as he went through hand signs with one hand and had his thumb and pinky extended with the rest of his fingers gripping his trench knife.
"Fire Style: Steam Geyser pulse!"
He sent fire chakra into the ground and caused several geysers of steam to burst from the ground. Kurenai hurried up and came out of the ground behind a tree away from the clearing with sweat on her brow.
'That was a close one. Looks like he's actually taking me seriously. Good' she thought as she pulled out 3 shuriken channeling chakra into them
'Try this on for size' She thought as she threw a volley of shuriken at Asuma.
He used one of his trench knives to block the throwing stars and he channeled wind chakra into his trench knife and sent a crescent slash of wind chakra towards her location, cutting down multiple trees in the area. Kurenai quickly jumped out of the way and threw a volley of kunai at Asuma as he dodged and moved to body flicker behind her. She spun around with a kunai and blocked a swop from his trench knife and dodged another. She was in a bind as she was trying not to get her bell taken and dodge his attacks.
With Shikamaru, he was moving at a speed that Shino just couldn't keep up with even while using his insects. He was shutting him down with every move. Shino knew he couldn't keep substituting but before he could do anything he felt a kunai to his neck. Before he could do anything else Shikamaru slammed the hilt of the kunai into his head, knocking him out.
"Sorry but I can't afford to play around" he said as he body flicked away.
He appeared to see Kurenai dodging Asuma's onslaught and he used her distraction to use his shadow possession technique to wrap his shadow around her as she landed from jumping back from him.
"Shadow Possesion Jutsu success" he said
Asuma slashed off her bell and Shikaku called off the battle bringing them back together
"You have all shown me you're ready for the field and that my sending you all off for training wasn't wasted. Good job" he said in a lazy tone
"Winner team Asuma" he continued

Later that day after the various battles in training ground 7:
Eventually the 3rd Hokage himself appeared with Noridasu at the Namikaze Compound
"Gramps! It's been so long! Both of you!" Naruto said running up to hug the elder men in a hilarious comical fashion
"And what about Grandma?" Kumiko said in a huff and Naruto went to hug her as well with gusto. She wrapped him in a bear hug lifting him off his feet.
"Ack, Grams that hurt!" he said as she sat him down
He was greeted by Mito who lunged in grappling onto him as he returned the hug
"Hey, hey, how ya been Mito" he said ruffling her hair
He smiled as he looked up to see Trunks patting his shoulder and breaking his embrace with Mito. Funé also came to greet her daughter and Nephew as did Akari and Nanashi. She and Akari soon went back to resume cooking a meal for the family. Shisui was also there as he was dating Akari and was requested to be there, and so he fist bumped Naruto
"Well this is rare these days. The family is all here" Kumiko said
"Yea, lets enjoy this while we have it" Noridasu said
He was then met by Kenji holding an auburn red haired baby and a woman that looked like she was pregnant walking in with him. He was confused for a moment until he heard his elder brother speak.
"Hey, bro, so this is my wife Mei Terumi Namikaze and this is my son and your nephew Yuji."
Naruto had comically wide eyes as he looked at his brother's first born child then at his wife, then his brother. He quickly bowed
"N-nice to meet you, I'm Naruto, his younger brother" he said causing everyone to look at him then at Jiraiya
"He got manners drilled into him while training with the guardian of the planet"
"What? "He" trained the boy?" Vegeta said uncrossing his arms and speaking up finally
Jiraiya smirked, giving him a curt nod, causing Vegeta to speak to him. Mei spoke up to greet him back with a kind smile
"It's nice to finally meet you. He's told me a lot about you. In fact everyone has told me alot about you and Lord Jiraiya" she bowed back to him
"Nonsense, you're family now. No need for honorifics" Jiraiya said waving her off
Soon the baby open his eyes to show an azure blue as it looked around kuuing as his eyes landed on Naruto. Kenji smirked as he saw his son stretching out his hands towards his brother. Mei and Tsunade got motherly smiles as Naruto held his nephew
"H-hey there Yuji, I-I'm your uncle Naruto. Nice to meet ya" he said as he was a bit nervous, as he had never held a child before
Everyone chuckled at him except Vegeta who was reminded of when he first held his own children, getting a ghost of a smile on his face.
Deep in space:
"Father, are grandpa and uncle coming with us to earth?"
"No Kuriza, I've decided that we will be enough for these monkeys"
Kuriza nodded at his father's words
"What about mom? And when are we gonna get there?"
Frieza sighed as he rubbed his forehead
"Your mother is back on planet Frieza 444 giving birth son. And we shall be there within the next 55 days"
Kuriza got giddy
"Yes! I get to conquer a planet with you" he began to run around in joy
Frieza picked up a goblet of wine as he shook it around
"Yes. And we will be killing that Saiyan who is a world leader first" he said as he looked into deep space
"My lord! The Ginyu force has pulled ahead of us and will be there 30 days ahead of us" Zarbon said
"Good, they'll already have dealt with majority of the trash then" he said with a grin on his face
Back on earth:
Vegeta stood across from a sitting Naruto who was reading the "Tales of a gutsy shinobi part 2" Jiraiya wrote during the training trip from Naruto bugging him about it
"Naruto."
The blonde looked up to see his uncle.
"What's up uncle? Long time no see"
"I want to have an all out battle with you one of these days. I want to see your full power and how you match up for the upcoming battle" he said
"I'm looking forward to it. I want to fight you as well uncle. I think I may even be able to match up to you this time" he said with a defiant smirk on his face.
Vegeta smirked back at him
"We'll see about that. Mina said the same thing when I told her I wanted to battle against her." He said
"Alright. Well I should warn you. Kurama and I have figured out how to merge our chakra, so you'll have your work cut out for you"
Vegeta laughed as he walked off
"I hope so. I believe that power combined with your innate strength will be the turning point for us all" he said as he left leaving Naruto to his thoughts
