"What's wrong?" Ulrich asked.
"Guess." Naomi growled.
"Oh, you're dead." Odd remarked.
"It's not me who made the building blow up!" Naomi added.
"Where do you have to go?" Yumi wondered.
"Home, and I don't wanna go." Naomi answered.
"Can we come with you?" Aelita hoped.
"Yeah, guess it's better so I can make the excuse of needin ta talk ta ya'll about work or somethin." Naomi smiled.
"You're a professional procrastinator you know that?" Odd commented.
Naomi then teleported herself home with the others.
"I keep wonderin why I can't teleport right to my room." Naomi muttered.
"Oh Naomi, we were just talking about you." Asimov greeted.
"Oh here it comes the damn war." Naomi snarled.
"What war?" Ulrich wondered.
"I'll be right back." Naomi notified while she went upstairs to her room with the others.
"Now what's this war you were talking about?" Jeremy queried.
"It just seems like humans shouldn't exist from an Adepts point of view and Adepts shouldn't exist from a humans point of view." Naomi explained.
"And how exactly does this have a connection to what's going on downstairs?" Yumi questioned.
"The boss is an Adept because he was experimented on by the Sumeragi, he's talking to an ex Sumeragi scientist who's human; the exact one who experimented on him no less. There's been a waging war between humans and Adepts since the first one popped up four decades ago with Azure Striker Septima. Some humans work with Adepts like Moniqa. Unfortunately, there's also those people who believe that just because a few Adepts commit some crimes means all of them are bad." Naomi elucidated.
"That's the purpose of the company you work for right? To show that all Adepts aren't bad?" Ulrich guessed.
"Yup, but we aren't doing too well with it. The Sumeragi's doin one heck of a job makin us look like we're the bad guys." Naomi answered.
"And that's why QUILL and the Sumeragi exist right?" Yumi supposed.
"Yeah, they see the opposing side as the enemy." Naomi confirmed.
"Who do you think will win Naomi?" Odd queried.
"Huh? Do you mean between humans and Adepts or QUILL and the Sumeragi?" Naomi pondered.
"Between QUILL and the Sumeragi." Odd answered.
"Oh, I don't know." Naomi replied.
"I'd say QUILL but truth be told I think the Sumeragi's going to win." Yumi commented.
"They took control of Naomi at least two times that we know of." Jeremy added.
"They have tech to supress Adepts from using their Septima's too." Naomi notified.
"Why didn't they give you a Glaive too?" Aelita queried.
"You know, now that I think about it, it is kinda weird they didn't give me a Glaive for my Muse Septima." Naomi responded.
"So, Naomi, if there was one thing you could change about anything Adept related, what would you pick and why?" Ulrich asked.
"I'd change all negative thoughts humans have and Adepts about Septima's. Some Adepts including myself hate Septima's, but they're really useful. Sometimes for burning evidence, other for drowning your enemies. But they can be used for starting fires for warmth, making wind power and other purposes. And some Adepts are only killers like me cause we don't get a choice." Naomi informed.
"Yeah, you only have two job options, working for QUILL or the Sumeragi; both of which are pretty terrifying." Jeremy remarked.
Just then, Naomi's watch started ringing.
