Sonic nearly blacked out when the bullet tore into his hip. Despite the searing pain, despite the fact that he fell off the edge of the building, he still reached out his hand to grab Tails. His fingers brushed against Tails', but the sudden minigun rounds and missile rockets pushed the rocket away before they could grab each other.

"Tails!" He shouted as his little buddy crashed into a building. He tried to move his legs to jump off the building, but he only felt searing pain as he tried to do so.

Looking down, Sonic saw the ground rapidly approaching. Gritting his teeth, he curled up into a ball to protect himself, landing with a thud and forming a small crater as hit the ground.

Sonic groaned, his eyes closed shut as a hand traveled to his waist to touch the bullet embedded into his side. He hissed as he touched the bullet. He tried to pull out, but that only got a large groan of pain from. "Dang it…" Sonic muttered as he craned his head to the side, trying to look for Tails.

His ears twitched when he heard the roar of an engine. Looking in the opposite direction, he saw a black jet with an odd symbol he's never seen before. It didn't look like the Korean flag, GUN's logo, or even that of the Eggman Empire. Sonic snarled as he pushed himself onto a knee. One hand was on his knee, one eye was squeezed shut, but despite everything, he still had a cocky smirk plastered on his muzzle.

Sonic's chest heaved as the landing gear activated and the jet landed a few feet away from him. He half expected Eggman's robots to calm walking out but instead, he was surprised to see a human woman jump down. A small girl with an oversized rocket launcher, an angry looking one that glared daggers at him, and a taller one with exaggerated assets and a minigun.

"You two, look for the jet. I'll take this… thing," the angry girl with the sniper rifle and oversized forehead curtly said. She stuffed her hands in her pockets as the other two muttered in agreement. The smaller girl whimpered as she made eye contact with the hedgehog. The taller one only frowned as she gave him a look of undeserved pity.

"Take care of me, she says…" Sonic muttered to himself, the glare from the angry woman intensifying. He didn't flinch; in fact, something about her looked familiar.

"What was that?" The angry woman snapped. She sneered at him.

"Nothing, nothing," Sonic said, quickly brushing away his comment. "So, you're the one who shot me right? Gotta say, that deserves some sort of reward. Not many can say they managed to hit me at all…" He laughed as he tapped the bullet in his hip. The angry woman does not return his smile, which causes Sonic's own to falter slightly.

"Quiet," The woman snaps at him. She frowns when Sonic refuses to flinch. "...What are you even supposed to be?"

"What are you, blind? I'm a hedgehog, what else do I look like!?" Sonic muttered angrily as he pointed to himself with a thumb. Normally he wouldn't react so aggressively at being mis-identified, but considering the fight with Chatterbox and the fact that he was shot in the waist , he thinks it's at least somewhat warranted.

"Don't lie to me. You look nothing like a hedgehog." Sonic frowned at the angry woman's words. "And that's not what I meant."

"Well, what did you mean?"

"That's none of your business."

"Then why are you talking out loud!?"

"I didn't know if you were intelligent enough to understand me. I've never heard of a Rapture that could listen and understand, much less talk."

Sonic frowned at her words. Right now, he had no idea if she was being racist because he was an animal, or had mistaken him for a killer robot. First off, rude; second, he doesn't look like that ugly thing he and Tails just blew up. So that's also rude.

"Well, I'm not… that thing you just called me. I'm a full-blown hedgehog, through and through." Sonic angled his hip slightly, letting her see the bullet she embedded into his side. "You see that? It's called blood. I don't think a robot can bleed."

Wait… No, the big ugly thing had black blood.

The woman only grunted. Sonic grunted in annoyance as she stepped forward and…

His ears twitched. She looks like she's wearing heavier gear, and that rifle looks massive, but at the same time, her footsteps sounded too heavy.

"What's that on your wrist?" The angry woman suddenly asked, snapping Sonic out of his thoughts. He looked to where she was pointing, which was the shape of the communicator underneath his glove's cuff.

Without giving him a chance to answer, the woman started to walk towards him. The first thing Sonic did when he saw this was raise his arm and slam the communicator into the floor, breaking it. Her eyes widened as she saw electronic pieces scatter across the floor. Sonic smirked at her expression.

"Sorry. I can't have you tracking down my friends," Sonic said as the broken comm fell off his wrist. The woman narrowed her eyes at him as she leaned down and picked up a shattered circuit board.

"Friends, plural," She muttered, glaring at Sonic. The hedgehog did not elaborate. He seemed to pay much more attention to her hat.

"Oh, no wonder that hat looks familiar!" Sonic said suddenly, snapping his fingers. The woman paused at his declaration, and her eyes narrowed significantly. She kneeled down until their faces were only inches apart; her lips in a fierce scowl while his remains an unflinching smirk.

"What," the woman asks slowly. "Do you mean by that?"

"I mean that I saw that hat before. About… thirty-four miles that way? She's a bit crumpled up right now," Sonic said, waving his hands to the west. Next thing he knew he had a metal hand around his neck lifting him up.

He gasps for air as the furious android lifts him over her head. He grabbed her wrist while his right leg dangled uselessly in the air. But despite everything, the pain in his legs, his already small lungs screaming for air, he simply smirked back at her.

"Poor choice of words…?" Sonic guessed as he felt synthetic fingers grip his throat tightly. "She's not…" He tried to say, but the android only tightened her grip on his neck, preventing him from speaking anything.

It's a good thing his other leg is still fine. Sonic flexed his ankle and readied himself to shatter the woman's arm just a tiny bit. And would've done it too, had he not heard gunshots coming from behind him.

The woman loosened her grip but didn't release him. At least he could breathe now. She tilted her head slightly, probably listening to some internal radio signal. After a while, she snarled and brought Sonic closer to her face.

"You are going to show me where exactly you saw her," She ordered.

"Alright," Sonic said without resistance. The woman was taken aback. Sonic tilted his head at her reaction. "What? The sooner we find your friend, the sooner she can get medical attention, right?"

The angry looking woman looks at Sonic curiously, looking for any sign of deceit. Sonic flashed her a dashing smile, one that would cause humans and Islanders alike to swoon. His smile faltered slightly when the woman's expression didn't change an inch.

"If you're lying, I won't hesitate to snap your neck in half," The woman warns him.

"You can try," Sonic smirks.

The woman adjusted her grip so that she wouldn't be choking him. She slung him over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes, much to Sonic dismay. He sighs and drums his fingers on her shoulder as she carries back to the jet.

As she did, Sonic looked at the skyscraper Tails crash landed in. He could see a small yellow blur looking down at them. Even though they probably couldn't see each other clearly from this distance, Sonic still raised his arm and gave Tails a wink and a thumbs up.

Tails walked back to the damaged Cyclone once he saw Sonic loaded onto the jet. With a sigh, he kneeled down and started removing the metal plates of his custom-made to inspect the internal damage. His namesakes flicked anxiously as he heard the gunshots coming from outside.

As his tails reached for his toolbox and began to take out an assortment of tools, his hands played with the communicator on his wrist in an attempt to connect to nearby satellites. He only sighed when he received static, and hoped that Omega was having better luck than him.

As he began to pull back the Cyclone's metal plates, Tails' ears flicked when they heard heavy footsteps walking towards him. "Snow White, you're back?" He asked the white-haired woman.

"Yes. Your fight with Chatterbox caused a lot of noise, so there were plenty of Raptures nearby. All I had to do was lead them to their location," Snow White explained as she knelt down next to Tails. The fox cub nodded as he turned his attention back to his plane, Snow White studying his every action.

"Raptures… those are weird robots that are all over the place, right?" Tails asked Snow White. "Are they the ones that left this world in ruins?"

"Correct. They first appeared… nearly a century ago at this point, I believe," Snow White mutters quietly as she watches Tails work. "Humanity tried to fight back, but their efforts were in vain."

"Ah," Tails said quietly. "So, that means you were created to fight them?"

Snow White tilted her head at his question. At first, she was going to ask how he managed to guess but taking into account her heavy gear and weapons and the fox's larger ears, he probably heard that she was made out of metal.

"That's right. I'm a Nikke; A metallic body piloted by a biological brain," Snow White told him.

"Nikke… like the Apotos Goddess of Victory?" Tails asked. She found the way his eyes sparkled somewhat adorable. Snow White could hear the gears turning in his brain.

"Apotos…? No, Nikke is from the Greek pantheon," Snow White corrected him. Tails frowned and looked like he wanted to object, but instead he just lightly slapped his forehead and smiled.

"Right… different dimensions and all. Well, there's all sorts of questions that I want to ask, especially about you, but now is probably not the time. Though, once we've broken Sonic out of prison…" Tails said quietly, his cyan eyes sparkling in an adorable manner.

"...I won't be able to tell you much. How Nikkes are made is a secret even I don't know," Snow White said. The curiosity in Tails' eyes didn't dim one bit. For some reason, that creative spark felt familiar. She imagined herself with that same look, and it felt… right, for lack of a better term.

"That's okay. Right now, I need to repair the Cyclone," Tails said. "I just need some sheets of metal to repair the armor." Tails reached into the driver's seat and pulled out his trusty Miles Electric. With a small hop, his tails started spinning rapidly, allowing him to fly.

As Tails flew down from the buildings, Snow White dug her fist into the side of the building and slowly slid down until she reached the ground. She followed the flying fox as he flew towards the decimated skyscraper that Sonic and Chatterbox destroyed in their fight.

"You're planning to use Chatterbox's metal to repair your ship?" Snow White surmised, to which Tails nodded.

"Yup! Chatterbox was able to regenerate, so I'm also hoping that I could somehow use that technology for my Cyclone, and some other friends of mine. If you want, I could also upgrade your body with that metal as well?" Tails offered, turning around and flying backwards so he could look at Snow White.

"If there's anything left of him once you're done," Snow White said with a nod. Tails smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up, which she reluctantly returned.

Two hours passed before Tails could recover anything. Most of Chatterbox's corpse had been covered in a veritable mountain of rubble, and only Snow White was just strong enough to push all the big blocks of concrete. As she dug, Snow White found it odd that she was one being protected as Tails kept guard around the perimeter. When she heard gunshots, her programming immediately kicked in so that she could assist the fox, only to be left dumbfounded when Tails had curled up into a ball and bashed his body into a Knight, destroying in a couple of hits.

His namesakes were sticking out, for some reason. "Sonic taught me that trick a long time ago," was the only explanation she was given.

Eventually, Snow White was able to push the last boulder away, revealing a crumpled arm made of metallic flesh and covered in a black, oily substance. She half expected the arm to come out and grab her, but nothing of the sort happened. "I found him," Snow White said to Tails.

The fox flew towards her and took out his tablet to scan the arm. After a couple of seconds, Tails nodded and smiled. "Alright! Let's take this piece back to the Cyclone!"

Snow White nodded and took out a utility knife. She carved out a sizable chunk of Chatterbox's arm, nearly the size of Tails himself. As she pried the flesh off the endoskeleton, Tails poked around and found a couple of circuit boards and wires that were embedded into the arm. Once those were safely tucked into his tails and Snow White slung the metal over her shoulder, the two began to walk to the Cyclone.

The sun began to set as Snow White watched Tails weld a piece of Chatterbox's arm to the side of the Cyclone. The rest had been cut up into slivers and placed in his toolbox. Once the job was done, Tails lifted his welding helmet and smiled; the blackened, silvery metal contrasted heavily against the dark blue and yellow pain of Tails' jet.

"It looks ugly," Snow White said absentmindedly as she fine-tuned her assault rifle. Tails stifled a laugh and shrugged.

"I don't have paint on me, unfortunately. If anything, I should scrape off the paint. I'll stand out less," Tails remarked as put his welding torch away. "Are you hungry?" Snow White perked up almost immediately. "I know you're an android and probably don't need it, but I did pack some food."

"What do you have?" Snow White asked curiously, eagerly shuffling closer to the fox. Tails blinked at her change in demeanor, but laughed it off. He typed a few commands into his tablet and a small compartment opened on the side of the Cyclone, which contained a small lunch box. He opened it, revealing freshly microwaved dino nuggies.

"You want some?" Tails asked. Snow White had already scarfed down a handful before he even finished his sentence.

"It's… delicious… " Snow White muttered to herself. "Can I have another one?" Tails sheepishly nodded as he placed the box between them.

"So, how long have you been living on the surface?" Tails asked as he ate his own nugget.

"Mmm… A long time," Snow White muttered as she stuffed her face with nuggets. "I can't exactly remember. My mind's fuzzy." She looked at Tails curiously as she wiped the crumbs off her face with her thumb and licked those off. "How did you know?"

"Careful deduction!" Tails said proudly. "Considering the state of the jet, I figured there must be some place where they're able to refuel, even though I haven't found one yet. And given the state of the world and the amount of robots swarming the area, I believe that place has to be somewhere underground!"

Snow White hummed at his deduction. "You're correct. Humanity lost the war against Raptures, and so they fled underground. I was tasked with protecting the Ark before my companions and I were… discarded," She said. Tails flicked anxiously even though there was no malice in her expression.

"The Ark, huh?" Tails muttered to himself with a frown. The name, and to an extent, Snow White's mention of 'discarded' reminded him of a certain black hedgehog. "Do you feel comfortable going back there?"

"It's fine. It happened a long time ago. I'm over it," Snow White reassured him, but Tails didn't look very convinced. He looked like he was about to ask something, so she nodded her head to the Cyclone. "Did you build that?"

"Yup! It took me a couple of months, but it was worth it! Not only can it keep with Sonic–provided he's not going breaking the sound barrier–but it can also change into a two-legged battle mech and high-speed kart!" Tails said proudly, puffing out his chest in the process.

"Really? What kind of battery does it use? Ammunition?" Snow White asked. "I can't imagine using a typical lead-acid battery. Your bullets also easily tore through Chatterbox's arms." She casually took out her large anti-ship rifle, wielding it with one hand despite it nearly being as big as her. "My gun can do that kind of damage, but the bullets are of a much higher caliber. And they aren't rapid fire."

"I use a Chaos Drive, and I recharge it using solar panels placed on the Cyclone's wings. As for the bullets, I make them myself," He explained, drawing a surprised glance from Snow White. "The metal is a type of titanium-alloy which is incredibly strong." He pauses for a moment and whispers. "The metal Chatterbox used is kind of like…"

"You didn't synthesize it yourself?" Tails shook his head.

"Our world has lots of dangerous robots, like yours, though they aren't… this much of a problem. Once Sonic and I deal with them, I usually go back and melt them down to create the bullet casings," Tails explained.

"Hmm… I do something similar whenever I'm out of ammunition, or I need to repair my body." Snow White reached for another handful of nuggets, only to grasp nothing. She frowned. "Back then, I supposedly managed most of the weapons of my time. They knew how to maintain it, obviously, but if their weapons broke, or when we were in the middle of a battle, they always came to me so that I could fix them."

"Snow White… Do you remember what happened back then?" Tails asked. For some reason, his worried tone made her flinch slightly.

"It's blurry. It was a long time ago. Practically… sixty…? No, seventy years ago? Something like that. It was a long time ago. It's natural I'd forget," Snow White said, brushing the topic away.

"But…" Tails muttered, thinking for a moment before he spoke. Instead of talking, he reached for Miles Electric and looked at Snow White expectantly. "Do you have a control hatch or access panel I can connect to?"

"Huh?" Snow White mumbled, tilting her head to the side, before tapping the metal on her forehead. "Yes… it's on my visor. All Nikke's should have an access port somewhere on their body. At least, my companions and I do."

"Great!" Tails stood up and ran behind her, a bright smile on his face. "Will you let me create a backup of your memories? That way, you won't have to forget anything else."

"Why?" Snow White asked bluntly. "They're just memories. I can make new ones whenever I want. And my friends can remind me of what happened whenever we meet up, like we always do." She looked at Tails, the dull light in her eyes betraying her youthful appearance. "As long as I can walk and shoot; as long as I can keep killing Rapture's, I'll be fine."

Tails frowned at Snow White's declaration. "You can't really think that, do you?" Snow White only shrugged.

"I appreciate the gesture, but it's fine. I don't need my memories to complete my mission. It's practically embedded into my mind." Tails frowned even more.

"Snow White… I don't doubt that, but your memories are what make you human. Not every memory you make is going to be special, and some of them might even be very painful, but there also has to be a bunch of good memories you want to keep, right?" Tails asked, the bright light in his eyes contrasting his youthful appearance. Snow White remained silent at his statement.

"Aren't there any memories you want to preserve? Any at all? What about the times you and your friends meet up and have some fun? The stories they told you about the things you've forgotten?" Snow White looked at Tails blankly as he spoke.

The two glared at each, cyan meeting gold.

Eventually, Snow White sighed. "Fine. I suppose it won't hurt to have a backup saved somewhere," she relented. Tails' expression beamed as she lowered her head and tapped the side of her visor.

"Great! Let me know if this feels uncomfortable, okay?" Snow White nodded as Tails took out a cable from his toolbox. He connected to the Miles Electric and then into Snow White's visor. She flinched slightly at the sudden intrusion, but elected to keep her mouth shut.

Once the download was complete, a corrupted file appeared on the screen. Tails spent some time trying to recompile the data, but he only managed to salvage about 69% of the information stored inside. He frowned, but didn't falter. He inserted a USB stick and created a copy of the data, handing it to Snow White once he was finished.

"Here you go!" Tails said, handing the flash drive. Snow White gingerly took it from him, her eyes scanning the surface of the yellow stick. In the middle was a logo of two yellow tails with white tips. "If you or your friends need some backup files, be sure to call me!"

"I'll keep that in mind," Snow White nodded, stashing the flash drive in her pouch. Once she was done, she turned behind her to look outside. The sun was beginning to set, disappearing over the cracked and toppling buildings.

"It's getting late. We should probably start moving," Tails commented as he hoped into the Cyclone's driver seat.

"That's right. Oh, before I do…" Snow White stood up and took Tails Miles Electric from him. She fiddled with the connection settings before handing the tablet back to him. "Almost all satellites are down, so we have to rely on nearby radio towers that are still operational."

"Great, thank you! I'll be sure to tell my friends when I see them," Tails nodded.

With that, he hopped into the Cyclone and turned on the engine. After a few clicks, the Cyclone transformed into its walker-mode, now standing tall and towering above Snow White by. "Do you want me to drop you at the ARK?"

"No. Regroup with your allies first. I can make my way to the Ark on my own. I'll let you know when I see an opening so that we can rescue your friend," Snow White said back.

Tails nodded and pushed forwards on his controls. "Alright. Be careful Snow White. And good luck!" He said as approached the edge of the building. The Nikke gave Tails a thumbs as he leapt off the edge. Snow White heard a mechanical whirring as the Cyclone, now in its jet form, flew away at an incredible speed.

"Good luck, Mi… Tails," Snow White whispered as she watched the fox's jet disappear in the blink of an eye. Her hand traveled to the pouch, gently tapping where Tails' extra communicator and flash drive had been stored.

She let out a deep breath before her visor expanded and covered her face, glowing in the same golden light as her eyes. She ran towards the edge and jumped as high she could, leaping from building to building as she made her way to the Ark.

Somewhere in one of the many vast corners of the world lay a vast mountain of scrap metal. The mound was practically sixty meters tall even though it was tilted on its side. Most of the black metal was steaming and dented; many scratches adorned the armor, and shattered pieces ranging from small specks of dust to street-sized plates littered the area.

Near the top of the metal tower, metal shrieked and cracked as something shifted from inside. After a few more hits, a gray vehicle tumbled out, the man inside screaming as the circular contraption rolled and bounced its way to the ground.

Upon crashing onto the scorched earth, the glass partition opened, allowing Dr. Eggman to spill out of his Egg Mobile. The mad doctor coughed into his fist as he lifted himself up. His body was covered in soot, his jacket was in shambles, and his precious mustache was completely frayed.

"I hate those hedgehogs…" Eggman grumbled as stood up and stretched out his back. He turned around and continued to grumble as he saw the remains of his Egg Azathoth behind him. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed a fake tear off his glasses. "And there goes my best effort to date."

Growling, Eggman walked back to his ruined Egg Mobile, and after a few seconds of pushing, managed to get upright. Afterwards he hopped inside and tried to turn it on, but the only thing that happened was his dashboard sparking and his engines sputtering. Eggman's mustache wilted even more.

"Blast it all…! Work you useless hunk of scrap!" Eggman shouted as he banged on his fist the dashboard. The third slam caused a small explosion, covering the doctor's face in smoke and ash. A small fire started on his mustache. With a growl slowly growing in his throat, the doctor raised his hand and pinched out the fire.

With an enraged shout, the doctor leapt out his Egg Mobile and started kicking it repeatedly. He even tried to grab one of the pieces of scrap metal lying around, but it was too heavy for him. Even then he tried to lift, since in his rage forgot that the metal of the Egg Azathoth was made out of a special, non-radioactive Uranium-Copernicium-Titanium alloy.

As the doctor was distracted by his temper tantrum, a tall and gray machine walked towards the wreckage of the Egg Azathoth. A group of Sentries had been ordered to investigate the site; it suddenly appeared in a flash of rainbow-colored light only a few miles away from Heretic's base of operations. That, alongside Chatterbox' signal recently going offline, caused Modernia to worry. No order from the Rapture Queen had gotten out (yet) so the newest member of the Heretics decided that the glorified junkyard was worth investigating. Perhaps they might find something that related to the two events.

Under normal circumstances, they likely would not have found anything considering the one leading the investigation.

Nihilister grumbled to herself as she trudged along, a look of extreme boredom on her face. She trudged through piles of scrap heap, metallic feet leaving deep imprints on the earth as she walked. The dragon cannons attached to her back had their lights dimmed since the barrel hadn't generated any sort of heat in long while.

The leader of the Heretics hated this mission. She hated being bored. Even if Chatterbox was her subordinate, she didn't particularly care for Chatterbox's sudden disappearance; that only made one less guard dog to deal with once she finally usurped the Rapture Queen. Besides, this operation was Modernia's idea. Why couldn't that overgrown toddler have taken this mission instead?

Nihilister's thoughts were broken when she received a transmission from a nearby Sentry. Looking to the side, she saw the tower-like robot staring at a fat man in a red suit. Multiple Sentry's watched the man as he hit and smacked his circular vehicle around. She found it strange that none of the robots had shot him dead yet.

Nihilister rolled her eyes and walked away with a huff. She assumed that the man would be reduced to bloody paste on the floor. But when she still didn't hear any gunshots, her face contorted into a snarl. What the hell was taking those scrap heaps so long?

Before she could turn around to see what was going on, she noticed that one of the Sentries had gone offline. Blinking, she turned around when she saw that the man was holding the Sentry's core in his hand, but the robot itself wasn't destroyed. It was completely intact, almost as though it had allowed the man to take the energy source without resistance. And none of the other Sentry were doing… anything about it!

"That little…" Nihilister growled. The internal mechanism of her dragon cannon's began to ignite, causing the eyes and mouth to glow red. The left head opened its mouth and growled, aiming at the fat man's bald head.

She's not firing. Five seconds passed. Why isn't she firing? Why the hell…!?

"You useless piece of scrap!" Nihilister banged her fist on the cannon, causing the head to squeal. She aimed the cannon at the fat man again, trying to burn him to crisp. But still, nothing happened.

And suddenly, the fat man was standing before her. Nihilister did not jump back; she was not startled by his sudden appearance.

The upper half of Eggman's body was covered by the tall shadow of his destroyed Egg Azathoth. The only she could see was the glint of his blue glasses. The Sentries she led now stood behind him, as though he commanded them.

"What seems to be a problem here?" Eggman said in a slow, calculated voice. Nihilister raised her arm to attack, but all her joints locked in place. Even the dragon heads fell limply to the floor. Nihilister looked up to see the Sentries had used their Suppression Lasers on her.

"What the hell are you doing!?" Nihilister yelled as she struggled to break herself free. Eggman paid her no mind as he picked up one of the dragon heads, the one she tried to shoot him with, and opened the control panel. Nihilster grit her teeth and Eggman poked and prodded inside the weapon. "Let go of me you disgusting animal!"

"Hmm… nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, however…" Eggman muttered to himself. Nihilister gasped as Eggman tore out the power core that generated her cannon's flames. "This? This is garbage. An amateur can create a better Chaos Drive than this!"

"Shut the hell up! What sort of disgusting creature do you think you are, insulting me!" Nihilister demanded. Eggman was still ignoring her and her shouts of anger. He walked back to his Egg Mobile and took out the Chaos Drive powering, and then moved back to Nihilister. He said nothing as inserted the Chaos Drive into the cannon.

"What did you–!?" Nihilister began to shout, but was interrupted when a surge of power coursed through her body. The cannon roared loudly as the power of the Chaos Drive brought it back to life. The residual power flowed through its neck and entered Nihilister's body. Her crimson eyes became bright green for a moment as Eggman stepped out of the way.

Once he was out of range, a thin beam was fired from the mouth of her cannon. It sliced the Sentries in half with incredible ease. Nihilister eyes widened in surprise as she aimed her cannon at the core of a nearby Sentry and fired. The laser burst through the other side of the robot, causing it to explode.

"What the… what did you put inside me…" Nihilister muttered, a viscous smile growing. "I feel incredible!"

"I outfitted you with an actual Chaos Drive. You're welcome," Eggman said in a smug voice. He once again grabbed the cannon, but Nihilister did not strike. It's the least she can do after what he did. She stayed silent as Eggman muttered to himself as he moved the dragon head around. Nihilister growled as Eggman's hands moved to her arm and squeezed the synthetic flesh.

"Well… internal structure and wiring is sloppy. Power sources are completely abysmal; even GUN had Chaos Drives. Material is near the same quality as mass-produced Badniks, but still relatively poor. And the less said about the cosmetic choices the better," Eggman grumbled to himself as if Nihilister's weapon, which she can freely control, wasn't in his hands.

"What are you talking about, human?" Nihilister demanded to know. She pulled the cannon away from Eggman's hand, however, he did not regard her in any way. He already knew that his ironclad programming prevented her from attacking him.

"For as lackluster as you were built, there are multiple similarities, like the way your internal mechanisms are structured." Eggman said as he grabbed her arm and tapped her elbow. "Most importantly of all... Even though I can't see it, I can hear it. There's only one person I know who creates joints like these."

Nihilister said nothing as a too-wide grin appeared on Eggman's face. "Go ahead and call for a transport. Take me to whoever passes as your leader. I need to know what my army has been doing in my absence!"
