When I got in my car, I drove to the nearby supermarket, as I wanted to buy a gaming console. When I got there, I started thinking. Should I get a PS5? Maybe for myself, but what about my girlfriend? SO maybe a switch? But then I can't play more demanding games! In the end, I walked out with three consoles. A PS5 for myself, and two OLED switches, one Splatoon 3 themed and the other Tears of the Kingdom themed. When I got back in my car, I realized it was Friday, so I didn't have to go back to the academy. When I got home, I called Shiver and told her to come over. When she got there, I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek. "Hey Shivs, I got something for you!" I said excitedly. "Hm? A surprise for little ol me?" Shiver said, I had clearly piqued her curiosity. "Alright sweetie, let's see what you got." I grabbed the Splat 3 switch box, which I had wrapped in black wrapping paper. I then handed it to Shiver. "Alright, open it!" I say, before pulling out my iPhone 14 Pro Max to record the moment. Shiver grabs the present and rips it open a bit, before she starts to seem surprised. "No.. No way… NO WAY!" She says as she finishes ripping it open, revealing the switch. "YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I WANTED THIS. THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!." She said, hugging and kissing me like crazy. "Hey, it's the least I could do for my girlfriend of 3 years. Can't you believe we've been dating since Year 9?" I said. "I don't believe it honestly. But regardless, I'm so happy to be with you." She said, hugging me once more. After we set the switches up and played for a bit, I looked at Shiver. "Say, Shivs. Do you know what the final project is for this year? I know there's a big one this year since it's our last." "I mean, don't take my word for it, but I heard they're gonna make us have a battle royale type scenario." She said. "Really?" I said."They're going to drop the 200 of us 12 year students onto an island and make us fight?" "Pretty much." She said, "You know this year is really short after all." "But what happens to those who 'die' on the island?" I asked, gulping in fear. "They just warp them back to the academy and give them a big red X stamp." Shiver said, calming my fears. "Thank goodness, I thought they were killing students out there!" I exclaimed. "No no don't worry honey, everyone's okay." Shiver said, giving me a peck on the cheek. "Well if you say so." I said, before sitting in my overly sized chair. It felt a bit weird being home, despite me usually being here even though I have a dorm, it just felt off to me. "Shivs." I called. "Yes sweetie?" She said curiously. "Have you ever missed home? You know, down in California?" I asked her. "Eh, not really. It was always crowded and smoggy in the area of Los Angeles I lived in. But now, I live here in Montana and go to one of the best schools in the country, and I even get to be with my lovely girlfriend of 3 years!" She said, hugging me at the last part. "Oh stop that, you're so adorable and you don't even know it." I said, kissing her. "Pfft, maybe I am but like, when compared to you!? It's not even a fair fight." She said. "Oh you.." I said, kissing her yet again. "You're just too sweet to me.." "It's the least I can do, you already do so much for me you know." Shiver said. "I suppose, I just want to make you happy." I said blushing. "Well you do, you make me the happiest non-binary lesbian in the world!" She said, hugging me. "I'm glad, also just to be sure, you really don't mind me using fem pronouns instead of neutral ones?" I asked. "Yeah, don't worry. You're close to me, so I don't mind. I never really liked them but it's you so like, it's different." She said happily. "Ah okay, just had to be sure. Wouldn't want to disrespect your identity or anything." I said. "Yeah no don't worry baby, you're just fine okay?" She said, rubbing my cheek. "Well alright. Anywho, it's pretty late I think. I might head off to sleep." I say checking my phone. I'm right, as it was 23:14. "Alright, do you want me to sleep with you now? I don't mind getting into my nightclothes and heading off to bed, despite me being a night owl.." Shiver asked. "It's up to you, you don't have to though." I said. "No no, I will. I am a bit tired anyway.." She said before heading upstairs. I followed behind her, heading up to my room. She did as well, tossing her bag on my chair before unzipping it and getting her night clothes out. Out of embarrassment, I looked away while she changed, while I changed myself. I decided to just wear my bra, since I don't sleep with pants on usually. As I was changing, my fur got in the way, since I hadn't brushed it in a while. I decided to just brush it quickly, putting my bra on the night dresser while I did. Shiver walked in on me, but I didn't even mind. I just kept brushing my fur. She didn't mind either, as she just needed to brush her teeth. After we were both done in the bathroom, I finally put on my bra and laid down, with Shiver laying right next to me. "Alright, I'm about to knock out. So goodnight sweetie." I told Shiver, giving her an eskimo kiss. "Goodnight sweetheart." Shiver said. I then cuddled her, and she got comfy in my grasp. Then we both fell asleep, peacefully.
