When I woke up, it was about 16:23. I couldn't really see well, so I put on my glasses and headed downstairs. Shiver was watching TV and noticed me coming over. "Hey sweetheart. How was your nap?" She asked. "Horrible, I had another nightmare. This time it was a farm." I said. "Oh no, are you okay? She asked worriedly. "I'll be fine I suppose." I said. Just then, I got a text. It was from the Cinderace I saw at the pharmacy. He said to meet him at a local Starbucks, so I got my keys and headed for the door. "Hey, where are you going?" Shiver asked. "Just going to Starbucks, I'll be back in a bit." I said. "Okay, can you get me something?" She asked. "Yeah sure, just text it to me okay?" I said. "Alright, love you and drive safe!" She said before going back to watching TV. I left the house and got in my car, heading to Starbucks. Since it was on the other side of town, I had to drive through the inner city. It wasn't in a bad state or anything, I just don't like the bustling city yet, I'm getting used to it still. When I got there, I saw the clerk waiting for me outside. I got out and walked over to him. "Heya. Was wondering when you'd get here!" He said. "Yeah sorry, I took a nap so it took me a bit to get here." I said. "It's okay. Come on, let's go inside." He said. We both went inside and sat at a table, getting some plain old Starbucks coffee. "So, I should probably properly introduce myself. My birth name is Kara, but just call me Butter!" He said. "Nice name. What do you mean by birth name though?" I asked. "That's a question I get a lot. I'm trans! Female to Male!" He said, showing pride in how he spoke. "Oh cool. My girlfriend is nonbinary actually." I said. "Oh cool, what about you? Do you have any gender identity or sexuality?" He asked me curiously. "I'm a lesbian, but that's about it." I said. "Sorry I'm not that interesting." "It's alright, it's not like it's a competition or anything." He said. "So anyway, what brings you here to Bozeman?" "I go to the academy here. I'm in my final year." I said. "Oh nice, I never got the chance to go to an academy this nice, I grew up in a not so nice part of the country and an even worse household. I live alone now though, don't worry." He said. "Where did you live? If you don't mind telling me." I said. "I lived in Los Angeles, but it was way worse back then than it is now." He said. "Ah, I see." I said. "I heard there's a lot of illegal things having to do with you know." "Mhm, it's really only in South LA now but back then, it was so common that you couldn't even go outside without seeing a prost." He said. "Oh wow, that must've been horrible." I said. "Yeah, and my family didn't help since I was in a rather.. Abusive household.." He said, sighing. "Oh goodness, I'm so sorry.." I said. "It's okay. We're past that now. Anyway, what about you? What are your origins?" He asked. "Well, I grew up as a small little Fennekin in Georgia. I lived in Atlanta, and it wasn't all too bad honestly. When I was about 13 in my Braixen Era, I was a delinquent. I always used my fire powers to wreak havoc and did some graffiti as well. I didn't go to jail surprisingly, but when I turned 14 I realized how immature I was, so I stopped. I've never used my fire powers since then. But anyway, I had moved here to Bozeman by 14, as I got accepted into the academy and since then, my life has been good. I turned into a Delphox at 17, and I've been one since then. I will say though, my body has been a bit abnormal in its growth.." I explained. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Well, it's a bit personal but, my chest is way bigger than it should should be, and same with my thighs." I whispered to him. "Oh! My goodness, I didn't expect that.. But I know what you mean. My chest is way flatter than it technically should be. It's a weird thing with female Cinderaces that were born in the West.." He said, a little embarrassed. "Interesting, maybe it's the same case for me too. I mean, people and some pokemon in Atlanta do have bigger proportions then in other parts of the country…" I said. "Hm, I'll have to do more research on it. Let's get a booth instead of a table." He said before getting up. I followed behind him, sitting at a booth as he grabbed his laptop out of his bag. "What laptop do you have?" I asked. "MacBook Air from like, 2014. I haven't upgraded. Why do you ask?" He said before he started to login, revealing his messy desktop. "I was just curious. I have a laptop of my own." I said, grabbing mine out of my bag and logging in to research the odd body proportions of Pokemon based on region. "Oh nice, what model?" He asked. "MacBook Pro 2022 16 inches, It's been my main machine for a while now." I replied. "Lucky, at least you have a new model." He said jealous. "Heh, sounds like a you problem." I said jokingly as we both laughed. Afterwards, we researched about the Pokemon proportion situation for hours until about 20:00, when Starbucks closed and we were kicked out. After that we just went to my car and did more research. "So what's the final verdict?" I asked. "It's because of eating habits, genetics, general living conditions, and evolution. It's a lot. Here, I'll make a Google Doc and share it with you alright?" Butter said. "Got it. I need to be heading home anyway." I said. "Alright, see ya later." He said before going to his car and driving off. I drove home as well, and when I came in, Shiver ran over and hugged me. I was confused why she was so eager to, but then she started talking. "Love, where have you been? I was worried sick about you!" She said. "Sorry, I was talking with someone at Starbucks and we were doing a lot of research." I replied. "It's fine. But you could have at least told me!" She said, pouting. "Sorry sorry, I didn't think it would take that long." I said, feeling pretty bad, "I'll just head to bed." "Wait honey no.." Shiver said, but I didn't hear anything else of what she said before I was in bed and asleep.
