Kyo stood in the doorway of Tohru's room. Tohru's eyes opened and she looked at Kyo. "Kyo, is something wrong?" Kyo turned and walked over to her. "Just Akito." Tohru sat up. "Is everything okay?" He sighed and sat down on her bed. "I think so. She wants us all to go to the house and talk." he spits the last word.

Tohru put her hand on his. "Kyo, you should forgive her. She apologized. She was just terrified of being alone." Kyo scoffed. She did this to herself. She alienated herself by the way she treated us." Tohru closed her eyes.

"Not to mention she killed you." Tohru looked at Kyo. "I will never forgive her for that, among other things that she has done. And you can't blame me for feeling that way," he said, looking at her. Tohru shook her head.

"I would never ask you to not feel something for someone. I understand that she's hurt you. And I understand that she has done horrible things to others. I guess I forgive easily." Kyo looked at her. He put a fist on her head and bopped her on her head.

"That's another reason why you are a better person than me." Tohru smiled. Shigure walked to her doorway. "I assume you heard?" Kyo nodded. "Do we have to go?" asked Kyo. Shigure shook his head. "No. Akito isn't going to force you. But I think that we should go. Get closure."

Kyo sighed. "I'll think about it." Shigure nodded. "She has yet to set a date. I assume it should be soon." said Shigure. Kyo nodded.

2 WEEKS LATER

"Congratulations to all of our graduates!" announced the Principal. Tohru was standing with Hanajima and Uotani. "Tohru!" called Momiji. She turned with a smile. "Congratulations!" Tohru smiled. "Thank you."

"Where's carrots?" asked Uotani. Tohru looked around. "Hmm, I'm not sure. I haven't seen him since this morning." She looked around and she saw him and she smiled. He was standing with Kazuma and he had a giant smile on his face.

Yuki was with his girlfriend Machi. He was happy too. Kyo walked over to the group. He looked at Hanajima and Uotani. "This is my dad, Kazuma Soma." he said with a smile. They all bowed and greeted each other. Kyo looked at Tohru and smiled.

Tohru bowed to Kazuma. "It's good to see you Master." she said with her warm smile. Kazuma smiled back. "It's good to see you too, Tohru." Torhu smiled. She looked at Hanajima and Uotani. "I think it's time to go." she said.

They nodded. Kyo looked at her. "Do you want me to come with you?" she smiled. "I'll be okay. You don't get to see Master that much," she said with her smile. Kyo nodded.

He kissed the side of her head. "If you need me, call me. I love you." he said in her ear. She smiled and she leaned into his ear. "I love you too."

They separated. Kazuma turned and watched Tohru walk away with her friends. "Everything okay?" he asked. Kyo looked at him and nodded. "She's going to visit her mom." Kazuma looked after Tohru and nodded. "I see. Did she want you to come with her?" Kyo shook his head.

"I think she did. But she wanted me to spend time with you more." he said. Tohru walked up to her mother's grave. She stood in front of it. "Hi, Mom. I know that it's been a while since I've come to visit. And I'm sorry for that. But I wanted to show you." She held up her diploma. "I did it, Mom."

She stood there and smiled. Until she started to feel sad. She bowed her head. Uotani put her arm around Tohru's shoulder. "It's okay Tohru. She's proud of you." she said as she tried to calm her best friend.

"I hope so." She said tearfully. "I'm sure she is." They turned and there stood Kyo. She turned and looked at him. She wiped her eyes. "I thought you were with Master." Kyo smiled. "He wanted me to come to be with you. I know that today isn't the easiest for you." Tohru smiled and she hugged him.

Kyo looked at Uotani and Hanjima. They both nodded and gave them a moment alone. Kyo pushed Tohru away and thumbed the tears from her eyes. "I'm sorry that this is so hard for you." Tohru looked at Kyo.

"I'm happy. I did it. I kept the promise that I made to her. I went to high school. I graduated. But she should also be here to celebrate it with me." She rubbed her eyes with her sleeve. "I wanted to see that she was proud of me." Kyo hugged her and rested his chin on her head.

"She's proud of you, Tohru. She is so proud of you for keeping the promise. And she loves you so much." Tohru sobbed. "And for a moment I thought about when I has to tell her goodbye again." Kyo hugged her tighter. "I'm so sorry Tohru." He said, kissing the side of her head.

Tohru took a breath and smiled. "But you're right. She's watching. She's proud. And she loves me. And believing that helps so much." Kyo nodded. They stood there and they looked at the grave.

"This may not be the best time. But I've decided since before we graduated that I wanna leave here." Tohru's head snapped up to him. "What!?" she asked. He looked at her. "Not like that. I mean I'm not trying to run away or anything. It's just I've been avoiding people my entire life and disengaging from the world."

"I got a free pass to do that given how things were. But it's different now." he said putting his arms in front of himself. "I'm a normal human now. And I can live a normal life. I can be part of this world with you. That makes me so happy. And I don't want to hold back anymore. I want to live my life in another place. See if I can do it."

"And I was hoping that you would come with me." They stood in silence. "So, when you leave here, do you know where you're going?" Asked Tohru. "To a dojo. Run by someone master knows. It's far from here. It makes sense. I can train and work there."

"Then someday when I take over Master's dojo I will already have outside experience. I can use what I learn there. Everything. The good and the bad. I know it must sound young and naive. And that means I will be taking away from people who love you. But I want to find out who I really am."

"Yes." Kyo looked at her. "I want you to find who you really are Kyo. I want you to be happy. And I can imagine Master's face when you told him what you wanted to do. He was probably so happy to see you determined to live and live your life to the fullest."

"He must have been so happy and proud of you. Because so I am I." Tohru looked at him with the biggest loving smile. "So yes, when you decide to leave Kyo. I will go with you."

Kyo looked at her. "Are you sure? It's very far. You won't get to see your friends that much. And we may not have a whole lot of money when we move there." Tohru smiled and looked at him.

"Kyo, I'm easygoing but when I want to do something I stick with my choice. I want to go wherever you go." Kyo smiled at her lovingly and kissed her.

"I'm bringing her with me. Are you okay with that?" he asked Kyoko. Tohru looked at him. She smiled as she hugged him. "Shall we go back home?" asked Tohru. Kyo nodded. "Yeah, let's go." They walked back to Shigure's hand in hand.

They walked up to the house. Tohru smiled when she saw Yuki standing there with Machi. He turned and smiled when he looked at her. "Ms. Honda, welcome back." he said with a smile. Tohru smiled. "Good to be back." She looked at Machi with a smile. She bowed.

"Hello, I'm Tohru Honda. And this is my boyfriend Kyo Soma." she said. Kyo's heart skipped a beat. He still couldn't believe that he got her. He got the best girlfriend in the world and she was his.

Machi bowed. "I'm Machi Kuragi." She looked at Yuki. Yuki looked at her and smiled. "This is my girlfriend Machi. I hoped it was okay to invite her to dinner tonight Ms. Honda." Tohru smiled. "Of course. I can whip up something for everyone tonight." She said with her signature smile.

Shigure came into view. "I'm sorry that we have to postpone the celebratory dinner, kids." They all looked at Shigure. "Tonight we have to go to dinner at the main estate." they all looked at each other.

Shigure looked at Tohru. "Tohru, you're recovered, so Akito wants to have the dinner. She wants to celebrate that you all graduated high school." Tohru looked at Kyo. "Do we have to go?" asked Kyo.

Shigure looked at Kyo. "She would appreciate it if you would join. After all, she waited until Tohru recovered from her accident," he said, aware that Machi was standing there. "Who the hell cares what she wants!? I don't owe her a damn thing!" screamed Kyo.

Tohru took his hand and walked with him. Kyo resisted. Tohru looked at him. "Walk with me, please." he looked at her and sighed, nodding. They walked away. Yuki looked at Machi. "Sorry about that, Kyo doesn't really get along with the family head. He's kinda a hot head." he said.

Machi looked at him and nodded. "Sorry about the dinner. She shook her head. "Not to worry, I get it. I'll see you tomorrow." Yuki nodded and gave her a kiss. Machi walked away. Yuki looked at Shigure.

"As much as it pains me, Kyo is right. We don't owe her anything. We shouldn't have to go." Shigure looked at Yuki. "It's by choice. I know that she has been terrible to all of you. But I think that you should at least try to hear her out. It's up to you." Shigure walked away. Yuki sighed, looking at the sky.
