"I wish I had the guts to talk to my dad like that." Ulrich commented.

"That was Asimov, actually, as crazy as that sounds." Naomi corrected.

"Why was he calling?" Yumi queried.

"Because he's an absolute manic who's willing to obtain their goal no matter the costs. Even if it means throwing their allies to the enemy like throwing meat to an alligator." Naomi huffed.

"Sounds like we missed out on something." Odd commented.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Naomi laughed.

"What did he call to ask you about?" Aelita pondered.

"He wanted me to surrender myself to the Sumeragi. Asimov hoped that if I'd do taht I'd be on a one way trip to Firmament, and could, from there, eliminate Nova. He has the second highest rank of all the Sumeragi personnel." Naomi explained.

"I'd rather lose my job than do that." Yumi agreed.

"Yeah, that's exactly why I said he's mental and needs a psyche evaluation. Since he was forced to be experimented on by them. You'd think if anyone were to bring that up he'd certainly be the last one to agree if he ever did." Naomi added.

"Would you rather go home now or have to work for the Sumeragi again?" Jeremy asked.

"At this rate I'll gladly work from home with a grin on my face everyday for the rest of my earthy existence." Naomi debated.

"It's been nice talking to you Naomi but we've gotta go." Odd spoke as he and the others left to start their day.

Naomi went to the factory and checked for any suspicious activity on Lyoko. She was relieved not to find anything. So, Naomi did something she never thought she'd do. She teleported home and told Asimov she was going to finish her week long vacatioin.

She apologized for the blackmail and ended the call. Knowing but disliking the idea of what she had to do next, Naomi looked at her bedroom door reluctantly. She opened the door and went forward with the hopes of ending the conversation before going to work since it was only 6:47 in the morning. Naomi found who she was looking for talking to the housekeeper.

"I'm ready to finish the conversation." Naomi notified quietly with her hands helt together in front of her while her head was down.

"If you've finally come to your senses I suppose it would be best." Dr. Kamizono agreed.

Naomi wished to say something but decided it'd be better for her to remain silent. They talked in the basement, using the work bench as a table.

"I, I admit it, I-I, I was in the vent A-Asimov, he-he needed to -to sneak through S-FIT for data." Naomi confessed.

"So, it was Asimov who ordered you to invade the facility. But taht doesn't explain why your Glaive has been inactive. Not to mention you not coming home or trying to grab a file from the cabinet." Dr. Kamizono added.

"M- my uh, my Glaive? I, it reminded me too much of working for the Sumeragi. That and it's not a good thing to do my kind of work with my Septimas sealed. The reason I haven't been coming home was so I could avoid having this conversation. And the filing cabinet, well, you see, about taht. I was wondering if there was a file on me. One that, I don't know, got stolen from S-FIT." Naomi explained.

"I suppose you have a right to look at your personal file. But, before you do, there's something I have to tell you." Dr. Kamizono stated.

Naomi looked at him sideways.

"And that would be, what exactly?" Naomi wondered.

"Some of your memories are artificial. You wren't cryogenically frozen, but experimented on while you slept every night. The memories of encountering Takefutsu while he was being experimented on were so you wouldn't feel lonely. You're also possibly capable of harboring all the Septimas to ever exist. It seems you have a new Septima by the name of Trick Bullet which will allow you to change the trajectory of your shots. They can also be imbued with as many Septimas as you like to affect the target." Dr. Kamizono informed.

"S-so, you're not mad at me about the whole no more Glaive thing?" Naomi stuttered.

"I shouldn't have done that. It seems hoping for my children to have normal lives gave the opposing result. Your strife is one of the most sorrowful things I've ever seen, your brother is unfortunately following in my footsteps as much as I wish he wouldn't. And your sister, well, I still can't wrap my head around what's happened to her." Dr. Kamizono droned.

"It's all my fault. If I would've just patched her up, then nothing else would've occured." Naomi sniffled.

"None of it's your fault. Not a single thing that's hapened is your fault. If it were to be anyone's fault it'd be mine. I shouldn't have tried to cure her like that." Dr. Kamizono apologized.

"You did what you could in the spur of the moment. But with Copen trying to teach her math, I don't know how well that'll go." Naomi laughed.

"Maybe you'd better go and check on them, just in case." Dr. Kamizono joked.

Naomi nodded and checked on her siblings. When she loked at her watch again it said 7:53 so she spent the rest of the seven minutes with Copen and Mytyl discussing math and how Adepts weren't allowed to get an education. Soon, it was time for Naomi to leave for work. She walked in with a smile on her face.

"Wow man, what side of the bed did you wake up on?" Zeno teased.

"It felt like the wrong side at first. But, I faced those problems I needed ta deal with. Now I feel like nothin' can lead ta my downfall." Naomi cheered.

"Maybe I oughta see if I can beat that Lumine boss fight an' see if I wake up feelin' like that." Zeno commented.

"Good morning Naomi. Uh, aren't you supposed to be finishing your vacation?" Moniqa queried.

"Nah man, the boss said she didn't need ta." Zeno remarked.

"Was the boss talkin' an' ya were so smitten ya just stared an didn't hear a word he said?" Naomi cackled.

Moniqa blushed.

"But, ya do remember ya gotta do that mission though right?" Zeno added.

"Ugh, don't remind anybody! Nobody remind anybody!" Naomi shushed.

Asimov was walking over so Naomi teleported herself in front of Xiao's desk.

"Naomi!? You really scared me just now!" Xiao panicked.

"Sorry, ugh. Just when I get done with my problems at home somethin' pops up here." Naomi ranted.

"What happened?" Xiao pondered.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told ya." Naomi retorted.

"You haven't told me though so there's nothing for me to believe." Xiao spoke.

"The boss wants me ta go pay a visit ta Firmament an' surrender myself ta Nova. I never could look him in the eye." Naomi stated.

"What!? Why does he want yo to do that!?" Xiao worried.

"So we can get some sorta info." Naomi notified.

"What kind of intel would be worth that much risk? Let alone being some type of info we don't have?" Xiao pondered.

"Beats me, but it seems important." Naomi guessed as she shrugged her shoulders.

Moniqa walked over to where Xiao and Naomi were talking.

"Uh, ya don't think I can get those two weeks back do ya?" Naomi squeaked.

"You didn't start the mission last night so everything's been set back by a week. And since we can't get ahold of a Sumeragi uniform you'll need to find something similar." Moniqa elaborated.

"How does PJ's sound?" Naomi rebuked.

"None of us wants this mission to happen or to be a part of it. Asimov wants to do this mission so he can not only see what the Sumeragi's done but to see how strong Nova is if he's gotten the Azure Striker Septima." Moniqa informed.

"I'm still wonderin' what the heck was goin' through the scientists minds at the time. If Nova couldn't use the Azure Striker the first time he sure as heck wouldn't be able ta use it the second time." Naomi rambled.

"From what I've heard he doesn't have it yet. But signs are pointing to him getting it eventually." Moniqa added.

So, Naomi enjoyed a quiet week at home. She even went to the mall on Tuesday. Though she heard snickering from Lola that night. She said Naomi's new pajama pants looked like Nova's. They were both wide and widened at the ankle where they ended. Both pants also had a band a cenimeter above where the pants ended with different coloring from the pants. The differences were the pants Naomi owned had a pattern, the fabric color was purple and the band color was magenta. While Nova's pants were black with an inch wide gold band and no pattern.

"He he he, not funny guys now leave me alone." Naomi growled as she turned so her back was facing Mytyl and Lola while she started at the wall thinking What did I do to deserve this?
