She noticed Odd had a small white TV hooked up about the size of the biggest Rubik's cube commercially available.
"How on Earth or anywhere else did you get Einstein ta do this? Are we in an alternate universe? Is this another one of Xana's simulated Earth on Lyoko tricks?" Naomi wondered.
"I waas just telling Odd how they code video games and he said I couldn't win one so I'm proving him wrong." Jeremy elucidated.
"Why didn't you try one a those RPG makers they're selling? You can even share them with the public for other players to try." Naomi asked.
"That's incredible! But then Einstein would've made me go on a quest to find the golden ratio." Odd rambled.
"I can't believe you actually know that's a thing." Naomi mocked.
"I may look dumb but I can assure you I'm just as smart as Einstein or Princess." Odd remarked.
"Well then, if you're so smart let's test it. What's the difference between a flathead screwdriver and a Phillip's scredriver?" Naomi pondered.
"One's a flathead screwdriver and the other belongs to a guy named Phillip?" Odd guessed.
Naomi facepalmed herself.
"That ain't even remotely close Odd." Naomi snarled.
"Well then Naomi if you think you're so smart try this one. What's the difference between the time I fused with Kiwi and Ulrich used him to talk to us?" Odd queried.
"A lot, but what really got me was how hard it was to tell which was more annoying." Jeremy teased.
"So, how's things been on your end?" Odd asked.
Naomi whistled the same sound heard on movies before an object hits the ground.
"That's it!? That's all you're gonna tell us!?" Odd ranted.
"Trust me, if I told ya what was goin' on at work right now you'd flip. Figuratively or literally." Naomi denied.
Odd did a handstand and was back on his feet.
"Now talk." Odd ordered as he glared at Naomi with his arms crossed.
Naomi was biting her lower lip with a joyful look in her eye before she couldn't hold it back anymore and began laughing.
"Uh, Odd. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that was a handstand, not a flip. I don't think you could substitute with a cartwheel either." Jeremy commented.
"Seriously though, what's wrong?" Odd worried.
"Asimov, that's what's wrong. Never thought I'd say that." Naomi replied.
"What did he do?" Jeremy questioned.
"He, he, he wants me to surrender myself to the Sumeragi. Hopin' I'll be stationed at Firmament to see what the Sumeragi's changed, if they're still doin' Project Muse and if Nova actually got the Azure Striker Septima. I've gotten almost all amy issues at home resolved so that's good. Now I'm demandin' that two week vacation." Naomi explained.
"You got offered a two week vacation? Why didn't you take it?" Jeremy wondered.
"'Cause it wasn't for a reason I wanted at the time. But I realized that I needed to deal with my problem so I could get my life in order. Well, what of it I could get in order anyways." Naomi elucidated.
"Why does Asimov want to get you to do all of that? When you get what data you need from your monthly hacks?" Jeremy supposed.
"That's what I've been thinkin'. But, for some weird reason he thinks otherwise. Sumeragi test subject files are obtained when we do the hack." Naomi agreed.
"Do you have a file?" Odd asked.
"Uh, what kind of file? Like, are we talkin' about my QUILL file or my Sumeragi file?" Naomi wondered.
"The second one." Odd confirmed.
"Yeah, and I know my original Sumeragi file is in the basement. Ya know what? I'mma go grab it. Tell me how this ends." Naomi stated before teleporting herself home.
She was worried about getting caught trying to get her file. Using her Psychokinesis would be a dead giveaway. So, Naomi used her Gravity Well to get the key off the bookshelf. However, it was so light in her hand that after she opened it to grab the key, she then noticed it was gone.
At first thinking she dropped it, Naomi searched the floor and every surface in the room. Long enough to get caught by her brother.
"What are you doing?" Copen interrogated as he watched Naomi look on top of the bookshelf while she stood on a ladder.
"Mindin' my own business." Naomi retorted before the ladder fell and her along with it.
Luckily she only fell 3 feet down. Naomi felt awful, she was in terrible anguish and out of breath so she couldn't move. Luckily the ladder landed near her rather than on her or she would've been left with a more miserable fate.
"Just leave me here to die." Naomi moaned.
Copen turned around and left. It was between 3-5 minutes before Naomi heard boots coming downstairs. Nori held her dress up a bit so she could run faster without the concern of tripping. She knelt down next to Naomi and opened the first aid kit.
"Did you break any bones?" Nori panicked.
"Uh, I dunno. But what I do know is that I just broke the world record for the quickest karma comeback." Naomi sighed.
At that moment Lola came zooming in.
"Boss! Boss! Are you okay!?" Lola squeaked.
"She'll be fine. Falling off the ladder just knocked the wind out of her that's all." Nori assured.
"Can we keep my folks from knowing about this?" Naomi hoped.
"It depends if they overheard or someone told them what happened." Nori stated as she looked at Copen.
Another set of footsteps was heard coming down the stairs.
"My baby! Oh my goodness! Are you alright!?" Naomi's mother shrieked.
"I'm the oldest. I'll be fine, just got the wind knocked outta me." Naomi answered.
"Do you think you can get up?" Nori questioned.
"Ya know what's funny? Anytime I try ta get away from my problems other ones just come an' find me." Naomi giggled.
