When Gunvolt was finally gone, Copen approached Naomi from behind.
"Gonna shoot me aren't ya? All of this is nothing more than a mere facade ta appease the Sumeragi ya know? I don't even think the top brass know I'm here." Naomi cackled.
Copen shook his head.
"You're coming back home with me whether you like it or not." Copen demanded.
Naomi snickered.
"Did you forget who you're talking to already? And besides, last time I checked your first attempt to keep me imprisoned in my own home failed as miserably as you did the first time you tried to eliminate Gunvolt." Naomi teased.
However, Copen certainly wasn't going to take no for an answer, not this time. So, he grabbed a gun that wasn't in his holster from a temporary holster that was on the back of his left boot.
"W-what are you doing with dads gun? Does he even know you have it?" Naomi interrogated shakily.
"All you need to worry is about not moving an inch. It'll be swift and painless, well, as painless as being shot with a gun can be I suppose." Copen assured.
Copen shot Naomi once. That was all it took for her transformation to disappear in a massive swirl of black and purple flame. She fell flat stomach first onto the ground; her arms bent as if she was about to cover her face. Unlike the Border II, the original only needed one shot to disable the enemy's Septima and injure them.
'I guess that's what I get for shooting him.' was Naomi's last thought before fading into unconsciousness.
When she awoke, Naomi was glad she merely found herself on the floor of the hallway. She stood up as a cold and clenching pain began to emit from her heart. It felt like a four slowly working its way up to a five. Just then, her heart felt like it was burning and being squeezed, as if someone was clenching it in their hand.
'There's no way I can get help, the Sumeragi just thinks I'll be able to resurrect myself no problem.' Naomi remembered as she trudged through the hall, desperately seeking help.
Naomi heard footsteps walking her way. So she walked on for a few more feet. Before her strength started to give out, causing her legs to fold under her. Naomi looked up and noticed it was Jota she heard approaching. He took one look at Naomi and ran in the direction he came from. He immeadiately went to inform Nova of what he saw.
"I see, so that's why Naomi didn't report back. Send her to S-FIT and make sure she's taken care of. Once she's healed, return her back here." Nova commanded.
"Yes sir." Jota answered as he saluted and left the room.
Nova then contacted Carrera.
"Jota found Naomi shot a minute ago. I need you to send the message to S-FIT." Nova ordered.
"Understood, I'll make certain that everything is according to plan." Carrera confirmed as the call was ended.
The Lyoko team was worried about Naomi after hearing that she want so far as to make sure that the mission succeeded. Especially when they were made aware of her transforming, along with attacking Asimov and Zeno. They decided to tell Xana what had occured.
"So that's what happened. Where are you now?" Xana responded.
"We're still at Firmament looking for the elevator control panel." Yumi replied.
"You don't need it from where I'm looking. It seems as if the elevator's moving. Do you want me to take a look at the security footage?" Xana offered.
"If you can without getting a virus." Jeremy hoped.
"No worries, while I'm looking into the footage I'll put a virus in the email I sent to Nova." Xana notified.
"What'll the virus do? QUILL gets most of their data from the Sumeragi." Jeremy stated.
"The virus makes sure that any emails, info or any form of media that mentions Naomi's name will be sent to me, one of you, her and QUILL." Xana elaborated.
"That's awesome!" Ulrich cheered.
"What isn't awesome is what's happening with Naomi right now." Xana commented.
"What's wrong?" Odd pondered.
"I'm sending the camera feed to Jeremy so he can tell you." Xana elucidated.
When he saw the footage, Jeremy's expression was reminiscent of a toddler being frightened by a clown on Halloween.
"What happened to her!? Guys, she's not moving! W-wait a second, i-is that, blood?" Jeremy exclaimed.
"It looks like Naomi got injured. I'll go back further into the footage." Xana noted.
Jeremy watched as Xana rewound the footage.
"Here, let's see what happened." Xana spoke.
After rolling back the film, the two were mortified to see what happened to Naomi and caused her to begin bleeding out on the floor.
"We found out what happened to Naomi. It seems she fought Zeno and Asimov. Zeno got injured and Naomi left to deal with Copen. He's also the one who shot her. Wait a second, that's not the gun Copen has. O-oh no." Xana muttered.
"Did you find something?" Aelita wondered.
"That gun Copen has in the footage is the original Border gun. It's even stronger than Copen and Naomi's guns combined. It can disable Septimas and injure in just one shot." Xana announced.
"And that's the one Copen shot Naomi with?" Ulrich worried.
"Yeah, definitely. They're rushing her to S-FIT via the elevator. Wait, she teleported herself, I don't know where." Xana answered.
"Maybe we can track her again." Yumi supposed.
"I just tried, but it looks like everything on her watch that wasn't Sumeragi related or personal on her watch got wiped." Xana added.
"What about Zeno and Asimov? Can we still help them get out?" Yumi asked.
