[Author-san: Call me Author Morgan the way I be Coughing *do-du-tush*drums] (RDR joke for those who played it)... slow chapter with aged writing. I'm old so go easy on me in the comment section.
Dark and desolate... would be the words to describe the current space, but with the large group of Tsukiyomi members huddled together, it was a pretty lively and bright atmosphere. Bright as it could have gotten with the dark auras of their two undead guests.
More off to the side, were Morana and Corpse. Corpse leaning on a tree as half his body were mostly just broken bones.
"umu... well, fine. I'll help." The Death Empress rouse from her seat, the ashen tree stump shortly crumbling away, blending into the white sand.
"Grrgh." Grumbled her comrade, Corpse sitting opposite her as he was tending to his broken bones. The two were within a very foggy forest of Morana's making. It wasn't her best, but the isolated space was best for if one needed a breather.
After that small child's interruption, she almost lost the one thing they came for, Psykos. She was well prepared to put that green-haired infant in her place, but it seemed Corpse had little resistance to the girls magic. If it was magic she used.
The death empress was well prepared to sacrifice Corpse's life for the mission, but as the Supreme one said, "Life of a comrade outweighs the gains of a mission."
Was the Supreme being talking to her specifically when he said that? Well, no, but his wisdom still made itself to her ears, and she will make sure to document each and every word or syllable spoken by the Supreme one.
"Is it fine now?" She asked Corpse as the negative energy took its effects of healing the undead.
"Grmm" The grunt, all tough coming out as unintelligent, was still able to relay his gratitude to her.
"Oh~, Corpse, you're gonna make me blush if you say such things." The other Tsukuyomi members only felt uncomfortable by her happy care free state.
Her care for anything monstrous and inhuman was well known, but to see her 'fond' over her 'coworkers' just left a bad taste in their mouth. They still wondered if the two undead conversed telepathically or if the grumbling of the monster was, in actuality, a hidden language.
"Wow... and I thought I had bad taste." The comment came from the restrained women, Psykos.
Still within her strapped chair, she retorted at Morana's relationship with Corpse. The friendly attitude of the Empress was a clear contrast between her bloodthirsty side.
"Are you making fun of Corpse?" She asked, in a threatening tone.
Psykos only smirked as she cared little for the actions of Morana. The Empress has made the point to save Psykos's life during the collapse of the association's basement. After Tatsumaki's tantrum against the Empress, for calling her a snot nosed brat, the association building took major damage from the encounter.
The small battle also showed an important weakness of the towering skeleton known as Corpse. All tough having a tough body that appeared almost unbreakable. The creature had a severe weakness against the Esper's powers.
Before the silent glare of the Empress turned into an actual attack, the Tsukuyomi agent decided to intervene. "Time is almost up. We need to get going."
Speaking in a monotone voice, he slowly stood up while examining his watch."This little 'break' of yours has lasted long enough. I presume you have regained enough power to complete our objective. Once and for all."
Morana, once more, having to listen to a human's words, could only roll her eyes by the man's lack of patience. All though when it comes to patience, she wasn't exactly the one to talk.
"Don't worry, little human. We'll be out and about pretty soon. Just a few loose ends to take care of." Her voice still remains angelic, but her eyes were unholy as they stared to the distance.
Looking deep within her realm, she saw the faint energy of a little human that dared to challenge her. The little human seemed to have found their location ones more.
"These pathetic children think they could challenge an adult and not be punished for it? Oh, how they will suffer for their ignorance." Morana chanted her words loudly, making sure the green infant could hear.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY BITCH!?" And on que, the scream of Tatsumaki gave away their approach.
"Oh, were you there little human? Your so small I barely even noticed." Mocked Morana, soon having her form covered in a purple dome of negative energy.
Just a few inches from her eyes, chest and joints, were what seemed to be wooden spears covered in a green aura.
"Using my own trees as your weapons? I guest the broke will always feed off the rich-agh!" Ruining her glorious words, she instead coughed up blood.
"You insect.." Having a peace of bone directly true her head, shoulder and throat, wasn't much of an issue, but the disrespect from this infant was the thorn in her side.
"Heh, what? I thought you said the poor feed off the rich? I'm merely using what that boned friend of yours gave me." Tatsumaki mocks as she grins from seeing Morana finally bleed for her stupidity. "That Bone ones weapon's seemed to break true my barriers, why cant I use it to break true yours?"
Off course they would go threw Morana's defenses, Corpses whole speciality layed within his power to reach his opponent no matter what barriers stood in his way. Not on par with something like reality slash, but close enough. All tough to have this human use her comrades ability against herself...
"...The Audacity of this inbred."
[Scene change]
"Agh, where... where is he!?" King looked left to right as he searched for the masked skeleton.
Walking back from his trip to the bathroom, he searched the hallway for Suzuki as he was nowhere to be found. Making his way closer to the meeting room, he could hear the voices of Blast and that alien chick along with Saitama's new dog.
After King relieved himself of all his breakfast, he tried to look for the cause of his headache and stomach cramps. His body is somewhat back to normal, all tough the lack of a heartbeat told him otherwise.
He made sure to check if he didn't perhaps die and was just walking around as a ghost, but from his pulse and need to breathe, he could safely say he was still alive.
"King, you're back!" Exclaimed Child Emperor as King entered the room.
The young hero looked a bit roughed up from all the explosions and disasters but was still Farley untouched.
"Uhm, uh, where is Saitama? I thought he was -" Before King could finish his question, the sparkling eyes of Te-Fitti was in front of him as she spoke at blitzing speed. Still unable to contain her happiness.
"Oh well, Mr. King, the yellow-dressed fellow, actually went off just a while ago with that masked friend of yours also. May I ask who they are? What are their origins? WHY THEY ARE WITH YOU?" Her fast speech only unnerved King as she was exactly as those crazed fans that used to follow him everywhere.
"Te-Fitti, stop attacking the poor guy so much. You're setting a bad example for your Kingdom." said Blast as he held a peculiar bottle seeming to hold liquid fire inside.
By the table, there were even more bottles of weirdness. Each looks more and more like an rpg item the longer he stared at them.
"Like my work?" asked Te-Fitti, a gleeful smile from seeing King's interest. "I'm not just some regular princess, you know. You're looking at the number one alchemist of the Silver Galaxy. Don't wanna brag... but I'm kinda a big deal."
"She is just bragging." interruped Blast. "She is a great alchemist but still second to that old granny."
"Agh, why do you always have to ruin my greatness."The two start their disagreements once more while King is left to stare at the spot where Tatsumaki once was. In her anger, she left a big hole leading to the lower levels. King wondered if everything was alright with her as she had been away for a while.
"Where's Tatsumaki?" questioned King, a bit worried for the heroes' well-being. All tough, now thinking it over, it was Tatsumaki. She may look like a harmless little girl, but she may be the last woman on earth to anger.
"Tatsumaki? Oh, Her..." said Te-Fitti, hiding an irritated expression as she rolled her eyes from the thought of that woman. "Why should a great man such as you, the fabled King, worry over that little human child? Or... may you, care for her?"
"Uhm... !" King chocked a bit at his words from how Te-Fitti's voice changed from pleasant to threatening very quickly.
Blast, in all his age old wisdom knew exactly what to do... feed the flames more.
"Oh, King. I never knew you were capable of love? What was it about Tatsumaki that caught your eye? Her eyes? Her hair? Or maybe..." The teasing from Blast was only increasing the fear within King to reach new heights of trauma.
King may have been dead silent and had a face carved from stone, but his mind was slowly melting on the thought of Tatsumaki hearing this conversation. If she actually heard these things, she may even try to rip King apart for this disrespect on her image.
He could already imagine it. Her scowl and judgemental eyes looking down at him as she pointed an accused finger towards him. Her words dripping with poison, "Someone Like you? Don't make me laugh. A pathetic creature like you is undeserving of being in my presence."
Why dont you just... DIE
That would be his end. A man killed by the allegations of many. It would probably be a fitting end, considering his life is based on lies, best to die by them as well.
"Agh, Blast stop with this idiotic yapping. I know for a fact King would never stoop so low." The comment from Te-Fitti unintentionally reignited the hope in King. "We should probably continue what we came here for. The meeting?"
Blast perked up as he realized he completely forgot about the meeting they were supposed to have. "Oh yeah, Kinda forgot about that." He said while rubbing the back of his head, laughing a bit over his poor memory.
"Agh, doesn't matter. I'll get the director or chairman guy... or, i dont know? Whoever that nose guy was. He seemed to be the one in charge. When that baldy and masky returns with their friend, then we can finally begin." Te-Fitti walked off true the massive hole in the wall, leading to the room next door. Remembering something, she checked her small potion bag near her hip.
"What the hell?" She said as she kept rummaging true it looking for something. "What the? Dang it, one must have fell out. Bloody Blast and his explosions." She cursed the heroes name, wondering where her potion may have landed.
[Scene Change]
"Hmmm..." Satoru hummed, holding a red vile between his gloved hands. The glass bottle near his mask, inspecting the elixir as he walked true the small tunnel under the association building.
After notifying his departure to the young boy known as Child Emperor, he made his exit towards the signal he felt moments ago. With the cover story of fetching his 'friend', he could investigate his summon's actions without gaining a bad image.
How would it look if an employee just stepped out of the room right before a meeting. Well... technically, he no longer was an employee.
He knew just up and leaving wasn't the best image considering the situation, but he had a few stealth operatives keeping an eye on their newly joined 'comrade'. The Superhero, now know as Blast, has been an... experience.
He still was very untrusting of the man, but after poking his defenses enough he realized something unexpected. Something crucial yet surprising.
Blast, the man with the strength to rival a level 100 players, maybe even surpass it, was infact... a noob.
Satoru hated to say it, but the man was just so noob-ish. Besides anything physical, the man practically had no defenses to speak of. No barriers, no spells or items keeping him hidden from prying eyes. Practically nothing of note is being used to shield him.The Te-Fitti woman at least seemed to hold a small barrier over herself to shield her from any poison, or that's at least what his spells told him.
Satoru knew this may be a trap, but... From encountering and having a short yet serious conversation with the man, he knew he was completely oblivious. Blast was almost a direct copy paste of one of his old comrades, Peronchino.
Besides the pervy-ness, they were basically the same. Complete powerhouses, yet complete idiots to boot. All tough Perochino learned from his mistakes, after alot of persuasion from HeroHero and Tabula, Satoru didn't think Blast may have the same options true making use of items and spells.
Satoru wasn't even sure if the concept of magic truly existed in this world. He heard a few rumors about it, well, more precisely, his summons, but all those rumors were tales of tales. To many Middle men to know what was really true or not.
He knew that the abilities used by the heroes weren't exactly magic but more rooted in some other practice.Blast was currently being watched by a few of his summons, stationed away from the association building, they were keeping watch true using binoculars instead of any magic spells. Blast may have no shields against espionage, but it may not be the same for Te-Fitti.
"But even so, I shouldn't drop my guard. He could still be a major hindrance in the future. For now, I should gain knowledge on his world-skill used to isolate me. His worth now more alive than dead, I guess."
Having found worth in making Blast trust him than trying to kill him was a bit harder than he thought. The man was very trusting but seemed to have a history with the whole topic of God.
"This meeting might be more insightful than I thought. Still surprising King was asked to take part in it."
King had good character but Satoru didn't see anything special of the man. Aside from anything related to gaming, he couldn't see any notable skills he may possess. But thats for future thoughts. Now, he must take care to stay on friendly terms with Blast. First was making sure he cuts all connections from his summons to not make them uncover who he truly is.
He will soon find out what Blast thinks of him while his absent. The man appears to not know him or recognizes him in the slightest, but it's better safe than sorry. Making his summons document each and every word uttered by Blast may be a bit overkill, but one can never be too sure.
"Now... which way?" Satoru asks himself, looking at the two tunnels before him. A breaking point in his journey to find out what Liberties his underlings have been taking, one leading to his summons, and the other to the unknown.
While thinking over the fact, a voice speaks behind him. "I say the one on the left."
"Hmm, yes, that does-" Taking a second to rethink, he slowly looks back. Wondering, HOW in the nine realms of Yddrassil did he not notice the man behind him. With a short mental signal to his Death Assassins, they retreat back into the shadows.
"Umu... where did you come from, uh Saitama, correct?" Asks Satoru with a bit of intensity within his words.
The caped hero not perturbed in the slightest from Satoru's question only shrugs and says, "Eh, just saw you jump down that hole thing and thought where you might be going. You're looking for the old man also, right?"
"Uhm, I remember telling you I'd go look for him on my own. There was no need to follow." Answers Satoru, getting annoyed from the man's presence.
"Also..." Saitama begins as they traverse true the tunnels. "How do you know King? Are you also like a hero or something? Guys like coworkers or..."
"We are... let's say friends. Played a few games together, and I decided to accompany him to this 'hero meeting'." Satoru decided to speak the truth, kinda.
"Oh, I see. Meetings are pretty boring. All tough last time, aliens showed up, so I guess it can be fun."
"Aliens?"
The two of them soon start talking about all the many experiences Saitama had. From the constant monster attacks, the existence of aliens, and a whole other sort of things.
"Wait, you're telling me entire cities are practically wiped out on a weekly basis and the human populace just... accept it?"
"Well, not weekly but kinda. Monsters like that have been showing up way more recently."
Satoru and Saitama spoke more of the pure stupidity this world held. The fact that life in this world was practically complete hell for the average civilian, by how your entire life could end in an instant by the most absurd ways possible. Either it is an alien invasion, a giant titan, a purple sewer monster, the options were almost endless.
"These monsters spawn rates seem to grow more with time. I wonder if their is an item spawning them or if it is just a natural occurrence similar to Yddrassil's spawning." Satoru's wondering only flew over Saitama's head as the caped hero finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel.
"I think this is where I left him. I'm not sure." Saitama said while looking over the small cavern where the association basement once was.
"I hope we don't have to turn around again. Last time, we walked into a horde of monsters." Commented Satoru, referring to when they walked directly into what appeared to be a holding cell for monsters.
The creatures weren't all that much of a problem for them, but Satoru decided to teleport away instead of wasting mana on them. Saitama didn't listen all that much to Satoru's comment as he jumped down the peculiar spot in the center of the cavern.
Right at the bottom was an ominous puddle of darkness. Roughly several meters in diameter, the puddle looked like a pool oil.
Satoru instantly recognized the puddle as one of the Death Empress's gateways to her domain. A skill not on par with a certain world item but still a tedious one to deal with if one didn't have access to telepotation.
All players in yddrassil had some form of telepotation, but in this world, abilities capable of such a feat is only to a select few. Even if they had telepotation, it would have to be strong enough to break true the barrier keeping them in.
"I say we jump in and see what's inside." Satoru said, but only gaining a strange look from Saitama.
Saitama looked at the man as if he had his mask on to tight, blocking blood from his brain. Satoru saw that his words may appear dumb by others as to them this was only a puddle of some dark substance.
"Uh no, no. I mean, let's go into the thing to see. Well, the gateway will take us to see where the old man may be, and, uhm, true the magic barrier, we won't exactly see much of what's inside and..." Satoru tried to make sense to the hero, but with every word, he was just digging his grave deeper and deeper.
At times such as these, Satoru really hoped for the existence of a social buff spell as his social skills were truly dead in the water. With his emotional suppressor, he could recover from the embarrassment, but before he could continue, a small tremor came from below.
"...Grrrrgggh..." The sound coming from something akin to a beast, both looked to the origin seeing the sound came from the puddle itself.
With a few more tremors and ripples from the darkness, out of nowhere, a hulking behemoth of a monster sprung up from the small puddle. A gigantic skeleton creature of nightmares came crashing out from the dark water, its flaming eyes staring intently to the one above it.
Its hands out reached towards the second form. The gigantic creature eclipsed the form of Bang as he soon deflected the creature's attack with little effort.
From the two watching, Satoru was the first to act, extending his hand and summoning a ball of flames soaring toward the monster.
"Oh, old man. There you are." greeted Saitama, paying little attention to the hulking skeleton that was now covered in flames and making its way towards them.
"Oh, Saitama. I see your back. The whole scuffle with King must have ended." They shared a small chat while Satoru kept attacking the monster with even bigger fireballs.
"uhm, sorry to bother your reunion but I believe we have more pressing matters. Dont you agree Mr.Bang?" Satoru asked the elder.
Bang only nodded as he seemed to not be all that worried from the creature's presence. "No need for Mr or sir. Like I said, just call me Bang, no titles needed or anything like that." said Bang with a light chuckle while passively ducking from another of the skeletons attacks.
"Oh, let me handle that real quick." Saitama said, calmly walking up to the skeleton as he raised his hand.
"Uhm, what are you..." Satoru isn't given a chance to finish as in the next instant Saitama's hand crashed down on to the skeleton as it is sent flying.
Shards of bone fly in all directions from the pure power behind Saitama's little smack. The creature crashed into the cavern walls. All life from its nonexistent eyes, were gone.
"Okay that should handle that. Lets get going, I suppose there's more of them, right old man?" asked Saitama. Him and Silver Fang soon walking off towards the black puddle.
Saitama and Bang stand off to the side as Bang explains to the caped hero of how the thing was a gateway to the others. Soon jumping in, Satoru only tells them they can so long go ahead, he had a few 'preparations' to do.
"Hmmm..." he mused in thought, walking towards the pile of bones and debri. "Gonna wake up anytime soon?"
From his question, the piles of bone soon rattle and shake as they started to move back together.
"...Lord" Came the distorted voice of Corpse, showings he is actually capable of speech.
"I see. So the attack, although lacking any magic or Enchantments, was still able to break true your immunity for physical attacks."
The discovery was... odd. When Satoru first saw it, he was a bit confused then captivated by it. Only attacks with magic or a sort of energy behind it could actually hurt Corpse, and yet with just a simple punch Saitama was able to break him to pieces.
It was an oddity that had him interested but also worried. Maybe it was some sort of ability that negated someone's defenses.
"Maybe like Yamiako's ability to punch the soul of a target, ignoring the physical body? No... I doubt Sataima had classes in [Mother's Touch]...Hmm wait- those are Yddrasil terms, this isn't Yddrasil." He chastised himself once more for thinking so close minded. He was in a new world with new things.
"New... things..."
Those thoughts may have to wait for later. First would need to be a quick interrogation of what stupidity he's summons have done this time.
"I haven't even been in this world for a week and they have already created a mess like this. I need more good Karma summons if all the evil ones are gonna act like this." Satrou remarks, definitely not scaring his skeletal giant to the bone with the thought of replacing him.
[Scene Change]
In a land of peace and prosperity... a silent chant could be heard. Two beautiful voices of nature that brought only tears to one's eyes by their beauty... Can you hear it...
"DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, Die, die, ðıę...""Just drop dead ALREADY YOU FILTHY PILE OF EXCREMENT!!!" The two ladies of the hour battle it out... kinda.
The concentration of pure darkness and the concentration of pure energy stood opposing to one another. Tatsumaki had the high ground as she was floating at a higher altitude. (Not because of her height insecurities)
Morana was instead seated on a obsidian throne of her own making, several death knights holding up the Death Empress from the filth of the mortal ground. The two auras collided with one another, a battle of pure pride and willpower.
All other members were in a battle of their own. The Tsukuyomi agents fought against the Fubuki group while Morana's dead soldiers were fighting the S class Atomic Samurai.
Atomic wasn't struggling in the slightest, cutting down the undead soldiers was child's play and yet they kept on coming. It may have reminded him of a recent battle he had against the monster association's executive. The little black brat creature. It was fucking annoying as hell.
"Filthy mortals. Lay down your weapons and I shall gift you a painless death." Offered Morana. Only getting an irritated response from Tatsumaki and another bone blade almost true her head.
"I bloody swear. The guts you have to still have that Smirk of yours after Seeing the greatness of myself. WHY don't YOU lay down YOUR weapons. Huh?" She asks, gaining another vain on her forehead from the pure rage.
"Here I thought you S-class creature's were strong, but what was I expecting from the second spot. If your not first then your not worth my time."
Now that... that was the breaking point. No longer able to hold back, Tatsumaki was going to break and turn this filthy Death Bitch to dust. These Fubuki Group weaklings was only in the way.
Doesn't matter, they were the ones to walk in on all the fighting, they should've know that their was a chance for them to die. So... they'll die.
"Sister, please calm down. My subordinates would be caught in the blast if you-"
"-SHUT IT" Tatsumaki quickly cuts off Fubuki before she says another stupid thing to her.
Fubuki could barely defend herself, so Tatsumaki took it apon herself to protect her sister. How you may ask? Well true locking her away in an enclosed barrier seemed to do the trick. Her sister was already in a bad state and now she also wanted her to hold back. WHY?!
It isn't like there are any civilians within this space they were in. And weren't these so-called subordinates of hers heroes? All they were doing was getting in the way of things.
"This is no place for the weak. They should've thought about this before they charged into a battle they knew full well of having no chance at winning."
With her words were no sympathy or acts of trying to be gentle in the truth. They all signed their death warrant when they took up the mantle to be a hero. Almost as if hearing her thoughts, Morana pitched in her own words of truth.
"Rather cut of all the weak links before they start effect the rest. Making the strong weak with their presence." Unlike Tatsumaki, Morana was speaking with disgust.
"The Supreme One values strong and competent individuals. Not these... incest." She says, showing an expression of hate and disdain. Her next words are instead a contrast as she looks, for the first time, toward Tatsumaki with a smile. One more welcoming than she qould expect from this Death chick.
"What the hells with that look?"
"Green Human-" She begins, still very disrespectful but not of the level as before. "Why dont you leave these hairless-mammals and instead, join me. The Supreme One would-"
"-I refuse"
Cutting her off and saying it plainly as it was. Tatsumaki refused.
"I don't give two flying-shits about your Supreme One or whatever deal you may have. Instead-"
No longer holding back, she has done enough of that. Taking her time to charge up her attack was mostly just an act to give these weaklings a chance to actually be useful and get out of the way. AND YET... they stand there like idiotic children, wide mouth staring at the impending doom.
"Well I gave them a chance to run. My sister really need to stop hanging around these Imbeciles, and now Tsukiyomi is also in the picture. Guess it's just two birds with one stone."
[Scene Change]
[A very tired executive]
"Agh... of all the days. Right when Blast finaly shows up, declares some meeting concerning God. Dont know when he got religious, and now this."
With his hand firmly gripping the bridge of his nose, the very obvious rows of veins over his forehead. It was safe to say, Sitch, Minister office of Justice, was not having a very good day.
Most of his colleagues would describe him as a calm and farely intelligent man. Someone who can think on their feet and make quick decisions for when it is necessary. But now...
"I'm really sorry boss-man." Mizuki tried to comfort and apologize but it wasn't helping the situation. "I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. Like King always said, A heart of Gold can-"
"-SHUT IT"
Starting to lose he's cool, this was very unbecoming of someone his standing. Looking back up, he tries to analyze the situation.
"The 13th and 14th floors are completely destroyed. Three of our restaurants are damaged. Our basement is... possibly no-more. And now I'm hearing from these idiots that we may have a hostile group of non-humans that have infiltrated our headquarters."
Truly today has been... different.
Deciding to forget about this for now, he instead looks back to the window. enjoying the cool breeze that came from the massive hole where the window should have been.
"Nothing like a cool summer breeze for times like these."
