Mr. Yamato knew his superior had another more important matter to attend to; but he certainly was't expecting it to be something so serious.

"I'm sorry Naomi but there's nothing I can do. Nobody is allowed inside that room until the meeting's finished." Mr. Yamato sighed.

"Does anyone know where the contract's going to be stored?" Naomi asked.

"It'll be stored in the archives at Sumeragi's headquarters." Mr. Yamato informed.

"Thank you Mr. Yamato you've been a huge help." Naomi smiled as she ended the call.

'Looks like one of these days I'd better pay a visit to their HQ.' Naomi thought.

"We're here." Jota stated.

"Nova was right, you really do make a great escort." Naomi commented.

While wondering if Naomi merely complimented him to benefit herself or some unknown reason or to be nice, Jota failed to notice Naomi exit the elevator.

"The contract was signed just as you left S-FIT." Nova notified.

Naomi didn't know whether to be mad, sad or scared even. Naomi was so startled that she didn't know if she should classify the situation as a midlife crisis or an identity crisis.

"What kind of work do I have to do?" Naomi wondered.

"There seems to be some data that needs to be cross analyzed between S-FIT, HQ and the Datastore regarding Adepts and Septimas. If there's something that appears on one list but not on another it's your job to make a list of what appears on one list or two out of the three so they can be updated." Nova explained.

The holo-keyboard Xiao installed was of great help with the multiple lists of data displayed before her. Naomi nodded and did the work on her watch until 6:30. So, she requested a dinner break which was accepted. Naomi teleported to her room, ate dinner and completed her usual routine. She returned to Firmament and continued her work after breakfast. She used her Azure Striker to hack and bypass the lock on her teleportation program from the Sumeragi. Naomi wanted to work in silence, but that wasn't happening.

"How's your list coming along?" Nova queried.

"I've found eight items so far." Naomi informed.

"I'll fact check it once you're done." Nova stated.

When she was done, Naomi fact checked that list thrice just so she didn't have to talk to, him. While Nova was going over the list again, Naomi was thinking of ways to escape.

'Shattering the glass definitely isn't an option unless I want to be sucked into the endless vacuum of space. Using the elevator by using my watch to hack it might work. Although they'd definitely know it was me. I'll wait until I get a job on Earth. When nobody's looking, that's when I'll run.' Naomi supposed.

While thinking of possibly getting takeout for lunch, Naomi got a idea.

'I can go home and never come back here! But, they tracked down Mytyl and managed to kidnap her. And apparently they implanted a tracking chip under my collarbone to keep an eye on me and make sure I don't go anywhere they don't want me to I can use my Azure Striker to damage the chip so they can't track me. But, how did they track down Mytyl? I can't understand it. How can they track somebody that doesn't have Muse without Joule? She's completely huma- oh. Oh he is so dead later when I get home and get my hands on him. He's going to get it and regret it that much is for sure. Tracking tech in her tablet? Copen's a real menace.' Naomi pondered.

Poor Joule was worried about Naomi, but after hearing what stunt Naomi pulled, she and Lumen were confused.

"Last time I went to check on her, Naomi definitely wanted out." Lumen remembered.

Gunvolt shook his head.

"Naomi's making it look like she wants to work for them so she can get ahold of the info QUILL needs." Gunvolt explained.

"She's doing all of this just to satisfy another of Asimov's curiosities?" Lumen fumed.

"We risk a lot working for QUILL. But I think Asimov and Naomi have risked the most out of everyone." Gunvolt stated.

"How did Asimov create QUILL out of seemingly nothing anyways?" Joule pondered.

"I don't know, all I know is that he's QUILL's founder." Gunvolt informed.

"Do you want to grab some takeout for dinner?" Joule wondered.

"Why is it any time that takeout's involved Naomi's in trouble?" Gunvolt muttered.

"There's a place selling yakisoba pan, nikuman, hot dogs, yakitori, soft serve and even crepes. They also sell chocolate bars, pear tart, an energy drink called Valkyrie and a custard apple soda." Joule informed.

"I was thinking of making some tempura shrimp. But if you want takeout that's fine with me." Gunvolt commented.

Joule happily nodded as she left with Gunvolt from their apartment. Joule decided to message Naomi, asking her what they should eat for dinner.

I'm not eating takeout so I can't say.

Say that again and you'll be eating her sesame soba. This is GV btw.

Naomi laughed as she read the last part.

W-what he said totally isn't true!

Lol, there's this show I know that a running joke involves the main character's wife and her tuna casserole. Also, if you try doing that I'll never eat noodles the same way again.

She's trying to make oyakodon.

Actually, I was thinking of grabbing takeout when you texted me.

Joule sent an 'lol' while Gunvolt sent a question mark. Definitely deciding to turn of her phone or a while, Naomi thought about attempting to scare Nova.

'Jumping out from around the corner? Nah, too commonplace. Making it look like I'm getting strangled? Nah, too overdramatic. Telling him Gunvolt's here? I'd be way past dead meat, not to mention all the trouble it'd cause if they thought GV was here. They'd amp up the security forces that's for sure. I don't even know where I'd bein to get fake blood. Acting mental is waaay past out of the question. I'm mental enough as it is so it'd just add to being overdramatic. Throwing something to make a sound and turning invisible could work. Thank goodness I debugged the program. No, right now I need to find a way to stop that tracker from working.' Naomi thought.
