'A few kilometers to go...' A young man with blond hair and blue eyes was running. His breathing was controlled and calm; although he had run several kilometers, he didn't seem exhausted. There was not a single drop of sweat on his whole body; this young man generally seemed quite fit.

This young man was Naruto Uzumaki, wearing a black tracksuit with orange stripes, running outside on a small street and doing his rounds. He lived in Tokyo; outside the city, there was a street that once ran entirely around the city. It led to several intersections either away from or into the city.

He walked and watched the sunset. At some point, Naruto stopped on a hill where cars could park. He looked at his watch and saw that it was 9 p.m.

Typically, the sun would have set at this time of day, but it was summer, and the sun didn't set entirely until about half past 10. Only from 10 o'clock was it usually wholly dark, so he could still stretch his legs a bit. After all, he still had to run a few kilometers before completing his training for the day.

As he ran the last few kilometers, he ran towards a park. The park was very close to his house; from there, he could step back and relax. He arrived at the park and briefly felt something as he came to a specific part of the park. 'I walked into a barrier. Why is there a barrier in the middle of the park?' Suddenly, he saw a massive pillar of fire shooting up nearby.

Naruto didn't move, just watching the pillar of fire disappear. Naruto didn't know what to do, but he finally lived the life he had always wanted. He wanted a quiet and peaceful life, and there was a chance this would end in the blink of an eye.

Naruto just looked up at the sky and sighed, "Oh damn..." He ran, leaving a cloud of dust in his wake, where he sprinted off. He ran around trees, jumped over benches, and saw a small pond before him. He showed no signs of slowing down and ran towards the pond. When he was right in front of it, he just disappeared and reappeared on the other side of the pond.

He saw three people as he approached the place where he saw the Pillar of Fire. 2 He even knew, but not the other. The two people he knew were Yuki Nonaka and Mio Naruse. They both went to his class and were probably his school's most popular girls. He didn't know the other, but his hairstyle looked familiar.

The man, wearing a white mask, held his hand above his head and created a massive ball of metal surrounded by purple magic.

"STOP! Nonaka has nothing to do with it! I promised to go with you, so...!" Mio yelled at the man and seemed to have tears in his eyes.

"Impossible! Anyone who jeopardizes my mission will be ruthlessly eliminated." So, he swung his arm in Yuki's direction, and the big ball flew right in her direction.

Mio panicked and screamed, "No… RUN!" The orb was getting closer and closer to Yuki, and just before it arrived, Naruto appeared in front of her. He reached out and held the massive ball of metal. The bullet bounced into his open palm and tried to push him away. However, nothing moved; not even a twitch came from Naruto.

The man watched in shock as his large ball shattered into 1000 pieces. Now, he saw Naruto with his fist outstretched. 'Impossible! This person just destroyed my Demonic Orb with a punch?'

"Hey, what's the point? You don't just attack two girls." Naruto looked to the side as his new classmate appeared. He carried with him a giant sword, which he had in his right hand. His right forearm was also surrounded by armor.

"MARIA! MIO!" Basara Tōjō panicked when he saw the vast bullet flying towards his childhood friend Yuki Nonaka from a distance. All he saw was how his classmate appeared out of nowhere in front of the bullet and stopped it. He only cared about the fact that Yuki was ok.

"BASARA!" Yuki called out to him and ran to him. She saw a red stain under his clothes and knew he hadn't recovered yet.

Mio also wanted to run to Basara, but the man with the mask appeared before her and just wiggled his finger in front of her. Mio gritted her teeth; she felt so powerless and hated it!

"Hey, Tōjō. Is everything all right with you? You seem to be bleeding." Naruto said this while still standing in the same place.

Basara just nodded, holding his sword in the man's direction. "You're going to pay for attacking Yuki!"

Mio suddenly felt a twinge in her heart. 'Yuki... YUKI?! I BEING TIED UP HERE!'

Naruto saw Mio grimace and then looked at Basara. 'Don't they live together? Hmm, it's none of my business. Maybe I can get out of here without being dragged into something.'

Basara disappeared and appeared in front of the man, swinging his sword. The man backed away and deflected the slashes with his fist. There was a purple barrier around his fist, and Naruto now understood why Basara couldn't just chop the guy into pieces.

This spectacle went on until the man grabbed Basara by the neck. "Too bad, Basara Tōjō. I expected more from the son of the god of war. The human has more power and potential than you, and you're a hero." He began to push harder, and Basara smiled slightly and held his arm tightly.

"It's a real shame... For you! YUKI!" Basara yelled Yuki's name and appeared behind him, swinging her sword down at him. She saw Basara hit a specific part of the barrier several times and aimed at that spot. When her sword came into contact with the barrier, it shattered completely. The man let go of Basara and jumped back a little. He looked to the side and saw the succubus standing at Mio Naruse's side. The human was still standing in the same place and knew he could not do his task with so many participants. He had to manage somehow to make Mio Naruse freak out, and he thought he would only succeed by mortally wounding Basara Tōjō as before. However, he now had doubts; Mio Naruse's otherwise hopeful eyes while she looked at Basara Tōjō were no longer there. Instead, she looked at him with pained eyes. This would mean that it would have to be the succubus now. This would be more possible, and he was already planning how to make it happen. But not while this person with the blond hair and blue eyes was there.

He straightened up and looked straight at Naruto. "What's your name?" Naruto yawned a bit and looked at him. What did the guy suddenly want from Naruto? "Naruto Uzumaki. What's yours?"

The man bowed slightly, "Naruto Uzumaki, a powerful name. My name is Lars."

"I'm going to retire for now, Naruto Uzumaki. I'll watch you and hope you become a better protector for the former Demon King's daughter." So, Lars disappeared into a purple mist that suddenly appeared around him.

Naruto was now getting beads of sweat on his forehead, 'Did he just say something about a demon king?' Naruto slapped his forehead with his hand, 'Where did I get this one back in? Anyway, what does he mean by protected? Tōjō is the one looking out for her.'

The demonic shackles around Mio Naruse's hands loosened when Lars disappeared. Maria started crying and hugged Mio. "Lady Mio! I was so scared! Please don't ever do that again!"

Mio smiled slightly and wrapped her arms around the little succubus. "Thank you so much, Maria; I promise I'll never do anything like that again." Out of her eyes, she saw Yuki hugging Basara and stroking her head. There was that pain in her heart again; why was it there? She hated that feeling. After all, Yuki and Basara were childhood friends, and it's normal for them to hug each other! She tried to distract herself and tried to find someone in particular. To her surprise, however, her classmate was already gone. 'Was that Uzumaki? He looked exactly like him, if I remember correctly. What did he do here, and anyway, how could he fend off Lars's attack just like that? He was also swift; he just showed up before Nonaka!' She pondered for a while until Yuki and Basara approached Maria and Mio.

They all went to Basara's house together, but something was thick in the air. Basara seemed to care only about Yuki and almost didn't take his eyes off her, making Maria and Mio more upset.

Two days later, Naruto sat in school and yawned. Why did he go back to school even though he was wealthy? Oh yes, if you are under 18 and didn't attend school here in Japan, this was punishable by law. This meant he must endure this torment for at least another two years until he could do what he wanted. Whether it's a trip around the world or just relaxing at home, nothing and no one dictates anything to him anymore.

He saw how his class teacher was starting the lesson and tried to pay some attention. After all, he had to be able to finish school, and for that, he still had to learn something, as much as he hated it. He had noticed that Nonaka, Naruse, and Tōjō hadn't shown up since yesterday. 'They must have taken care of Tōjō. After all, he was injured.'

Fifteen minutes into the lesson, Naruse came into the class with an angry face. She bowed to the teacher and apologized for being late. The teacher just smiled at her and told her that everything would be fine as long as it didn't happen again. She walked up to her seat and... just passed him by? Naruto had his eyes fixed on the blackboard, where his teacher wrote down a math formula that would be important during the rest of the school time.

He flinched slightly when the seat right next to him was occupied. There were always two students sitting at one table, and he always had the table to himself. This was apparently about to change, and he wondered who was taking it. He couldn't remember anyone else coming to class after Naruse. He turned slightly to the right and saw Mio Naruse's familiar red hair. He looked ahead again and tried to ignore that the most popular girl in the school and the future Demon Queen sat next to him on the seat. 'Seriously, she's always sitting in front of her friend. Whatever her name was.'

The lesson went on usually, where Naruto only wrote down the formula and otherwise only stored the most important things in his brain. At least what he meant would be the most important. The bell rang for recess, and the whole class ran out of the classroom. He wanted to do what he had always done during recess. He put his head on the table and slept well until the break was over. He laid his head on the table and closed his eyes, but he felt his right leg bump into something that wasn't there. It couldn't be the table leg; that was far from its current position. He felt the object being pulled away quickly. He shrugged his shoulders inwardly and ignored it.

After a minute of restful silence, as he was used to, something bothered him. He felt a menacing aura next to him. Annoyed, he lifted his head off the table and looked to the side. Next to him, Naruse glared at him, obviously annoyed.

"Naruse? What are you doing here?" Naruto tried to sound surprised, but it didn't seem to work.

"Naruse? What are you doing here?" Mio repeated the sentence with a twitch in his eye, "How much longer are you going to ignore me, Uzumaki? Even after you bump my leg, don't you think it's necessary to talk to or even notice me in any way?"

"Yes, that's good, excuse Your Highness," Naruto said this with a roll of his eyes and was about to return to his sleep... however, Mio had other plans for him.

"You hear me now, Uzumaki! If you ever tell anyone about what happened in the park, I'll kill you 100 times!"

Naruto just nodded, "Anything else? I certainly don't intend to say that; I want to continue to have my peace. That's impossible when demons, fallen angels, angels, and heroes are suddenly watching or attacking me. No thanks, I'm sorry."

Mio looked at him with a red face. She was angry. She looked away and mumbled something softly.

"What? Sorry, I didn't understand you, Naruse." Again, Naruto heard Mio mumble something to himself.

"Naruse, if there's anything else, just say so. The break doesn't last forever." Naruto said this while looking at his watch. It was already half the break, and Naruto would rather sleep than do something like this here.

"I SAID THANK YOU! DID YOU WANT TO HEAR THAT, YOU IDIOT!" Mio yelled at him with a red face.

"Yes, that's good, you don't have to shout like that. You're welcome; I'd do it again. After all, we're classmates, and I can't just stand by and watch a classmate get attacked." 'Besides, I think your red hair is beautiful.' He added this to his mind.

Mio seemed to calm down and looked away slightly. "Are you serious?"

Naruto looked at her, confused, "Sure, why not? I'd rather do without it but do it repeatedly."

Mio looked at him with a satisfied smile, which he thought was beautiful. "Ok, thanks again, Uzumaki. You saved me and Nonaka in the park. If you hadn't shown, something else would have happened." She got up and walked out of the classroom for the break.

Naruto only looked after her momentarily until he could finally put his head on the table to sleep. He still had half of the break, and he would use it. As he fell asleep, a certain red-haired girl appeared in his dream.

When he woke up again, he noticed that the sun was setting. 'Damn, I must have slept through the rest of the school day.' He sat in his chair and stretched to wake up his tired muscles. When he lowered his arms and legs relaxed again, he looked out of the window for a moment and saw Naruse standing in front of the schoolyard. He just shrugged his shoulders, grabbed his bag, and walked out of the classroom to relax. With one hand in his pocket and the other, he held his bag over his shoulder.

He walked through the many corridors of the large school and eventually came to the exit. When he opened the door and walked out, Naruse was gone. He yawned briefly and then began to walk towards his home. As he walked out of the schoolyard, he saw a wolf-like creature attacking a human. He was about to intervene when suddenly, a spear flew through the beast and anchored itself in the ground. Naruto watched as a guy with blond hair and armor picked up the spear from the ground. He looked at Naruto momentarily and then turned around and just disappeared.

'Funny. He must have been a hero; the only question is what he's doing here?' He thought about it momentarily and only came up with one result. 'He must be here for Naruse or Lars. For whatever reason, this does not bode well.' Naruto sighed; he realized that his beautiful, peaceful life would probably not be so quiet anymore.

He just kept walking and tried not to think about it. After all, he had a test tomorrow and still wanted to finish his training today.

The next day, Naruto was back in the classroom and had just written the test, which he thought was pretty easy. Naruse had also sat in her usual seat today, not beside Naruto. Tōjō and Nonaka were back today and behaved as expected. Naruto didn't pay much attention to her; he had something else on his mind. He felt a familiar aura last night; he couldn't remember where he knew that aura was from. Was it this Lars? No, that couldn't be the aura he felt exuded more power and warmth. Lars' aura wasn't as strong and certainly didn't exude warmth. The only question was, which aura was so strong? Not even Tōjō, Nonaka, or Naruse had such a strong aura.

When the bell rang for recess, he got up and started walking out of the classroom with the other students. He felt that someone was watching him from a distance and wanted to investigate this. When he got up, he suddenly didn't have the feeling anymore, but when he walked out of the school building, he immediately felt a pair of eyes fixed on him again.

He stood under a tree, and for a brief moment, the feeling was gone until it reappeared a short time later. His suspicion was thus confirmed; his observer must be somewhere on the roofs around the school. He looked around momentarily and saw that no student was paying attention to him. He walked around the tree shortly until he didn't feel the sensation anymore and disappeared. A light breeze was all that remained. A slight flicker was seen in the air only a few seconds later as if the air was heating up. Naruto resurfaced and just walked back into the building. He found what he was looking for. It was the girl from the park with the silver hair.

He went into the classroom and sat down in his seat. He laid his head on the table and closed his eyes. 'First the action yesterday by Naruse, and now I am being watched by the succubus. I don't know what to make of it.' So, he let his mind wander and fell asleep for 5 minutes. He woke up when he heard the door to the classroom. He lifted his head from his table and saw a woman in a white coat. "Mrs. Hasegawa? Can I help them?"

Mrs. Hasegawa was a true beauty. Chisato was a stunningly attractive woman with sexy hip-length black hair with bangs hanging on the right side with two holes, green eyes, a mole under her left eye, red round glasses, one earring on her left ear, and a voluptuous figure. She had huge breasts, even more significant than Mio Naruse's, and her butt was more prominent than Yuki Nonaka's.

"Uzumaki, could you come with me for a moment? I wanted to ask you something about Nonaka and Tōjō." Miss Hasegawa looked Naruto straight in the eye as she asked that. Naruto just nodded and stood up. He followed her out of the classroom and then through the hallways of the building. When they arrived in front of the infirmary, Miss Hasegawa pushed the door open and went in. Naruto followed and closed the door again. The woman sat on one of the stools and signaled Naruto to take a seat on the opposite stool.

"So, Ms. Hasegawa, how can I help you?" Naruto quickly looked around and noticed that the infirmary was utterly empty.

"I heard something happened in the park the other day, and you were supposed to have been there. Basara Tōjō is said to have been badly injured; is that true?"

Naruto nodded, "Yes, he had a wound on the lower abdomen. It seemed to be a blade-like wound; however, he got it."

Miss Hasegawa just nodded and wrote something down on a notepad. "Thank you very much, Uzumaki, now to the second question. Has there been a change in Yuki Nonaka lately?" Naruto looked at her, confused, "Um... Not really. I don't have much to do with Nonaka; I haven't had any contact with her except for the usual greetings."

Naruto sensed something dangerous approaching the hospital room and looked over his shoulder. He saw a magic circle appear, and out of the wall came several figures with blue robes and a scythe. They looked like the classic Grim Reaper mentioned in horror stories. Naruto stood up and stood in front of Ms. Hasegawa. The woman in question sat quietly and didn't flinch as the demons approached the two menacingly. Naruto didn't have the nerve for something like that. He disappeared and appeared in front of one of the demons and punched him right in the face. The demon didn't even let out a scream as it just dissolved. The force of Naruto's blow shattered the spell circle directly behind the demon. The other demons vanished as the spell was broken.

Naruto sighed and dropped his arm back to his side. He turned around and saw a smiling Mrs. Hasegawa still on her stool. "You are not the person you pretend to be, right?"

The woman put down her pad and stood up. She slowly walked up to Naruto and raised her hand. Naruto remained silent and did nothing as her hand lightly touched his cheek. "Thank you, Uzumaki." She took her hand from his cheek, walked past him, and pushed the door open. "I'm sorry I took up your time; I'll get back to you."

Naruto nodded and walked off with slightly flushed cheeks. Returning to the hallway, he saw Tōjō coming to the hospital room. His cheeks were back to normal as he walked past Tōjō.

"Wait a minute." Naruto stopped and looked over his shoulder. Basara held his hand to him, "I wanted to thank you again for protecting Yuki. She's a part of my family, and I'm glad you protected her the moment I wasn't there."

Naruto turned around and shook his hand, "You're welcome; I'd say we'll talk later." Naruto let go of his hand and turned around. Basara was momentarily confused until he turned around and saw Mrs. Hasegawa waiting in the doorway to the infirmary. 'I can always talk to Uzumaki later.' He followed the woman into the infirmary and closed the door behind him.

Basara was a tall and slim fifteen-year-old with unkempt brown hair jutting in all directions and light green eyes.

He also had scars that covered most of his body, which was the result of his Banishing Shift going out of control. However, he tells people he was involved in a car accident. He wore a white shirt, a black blazer, pants, and shoes. That was the standard school uniform of the Hijirigasaka Academy. Naruto also wore the same uniform as Basara when he was in school.

When Basara came out 20 minutes later, he was seen pulling his shirt back down. Bandages could be seen around his lower abdominal area. Basara went to the roof; he had an appointment with Takegawa.

Naruto came back to class and felt something in the air. Whatever it was, it wasn't peaceful. He sat down in his seat and saw Nonaka sitting in another chair. She was now sitting in the seat where Basara's seat neighbor used to sit. Naruse got up, walked to the back of the classroom, and sat beside Naruto.

She looked at him for a moment and then just looked ahead. Naruto looked out the window and tried to get around for the rest of the day. As the day passed, nothing else happened; Tōjō returned to the class and sat down again in his seat. He didn't seem surprised that Nonaka was sitting next to him. Naruse looked at Tōjō and Nonaka occasionally with an angry face, and then only briefly; when she thought that Naruto wasn't looking, she also looked at him. Naruto noticed this a few times and even looked her straight in the eye once when she looked at him. She blushed and looked straight ahead again.

When the bell rang at the end of the school day, everyone got up one after the other, and the teacher said goodbye to the class for the day. Naruto waited for Naruse to get up so he could get up. As she stood up and walked towards Tōjō and Nonaka, she suddenly stopped as they stood up and shook hands. They both went hand in hand together. Mio just stopped and looked at the floor.

Naruto stood slightly next to her and looked at her briefly. He opened his mouth shortly until he closed it again. 'It's none of my business.' He waited a moment and walked on slowly. He walked out of the classroom and saw Tōjō talking to a classmate. 'Isn't that Takegawa?' He looked at her more closely and had to say that this hairstyle looked familiar to him. He paid no further attention and entered a corridor with hardly any students. He was about to leave when Mrs. Hasegawa came around the corner. He relaxed his muscles and looked forward to where Mrs. Hasegawa was walking towards him.

"Uzumaki." Naruto bowed slightly, "Ms. Hasegawa."

"It seems to me that something is bothering you. Are you all right, Uzumaki?"

Naruto nodded, "Yes, everything is fine, Ms. Hasegawa. How did you come up with that?" Naruto had some thoughts in his head. Since the incident in the park, he couldn't help but think of Mio Naruse. She was the daughter of the former Demon King, but what was she doing here in the human world? Shouldn't she be in the demon world and live in some palace? He had doubts that she was here voluntarily, which bothered him. Of course, he couldn't get her red hair out of his head. With Mio Naruse, it just seemed like a perfect fit. Just like his late mother, whom he was allowed to meet in the past. The first thing he noticed was her long, beautiful red hair.

"If you ever want to talk to someone, you can just come to me." Naruto blushed slightly and looked away. When he fought the extra blood in his cheeks, he looked forward again and saw Mrs. Hasegawa holding a small paper.

"This is my number. Call me if you need anything. I want the students at this school to do well." Naruto accepted the paper and bowed slightly after thanking him.

"I have to go now. Have a nice weekend, Uzumaki." Mrs. Hasegawa walked past him, and Naruto put the paper in his pocket. He quickly looked around to ensure no one was watching him and then just disappeared. If he had been paying close attention, he would have seen two pairs of eyes before disappearing.

"Lady Mio, don't you think he might be the right one? I've been watching him, and he doesn't seem to have any connection to the hero clan, the church, or other potential enemies from us." Maria Naruse stood in front of Mio Naruse and looked at her questionably.

Maria was a petite, beautiful girl with long silver hair and purple eyes in her human form most of the time. She was seen dressed in a black dress with white frills most of the time and what seemed to be like a functional keyhole on her collar, where her magical key was meant to be inserted in, black leggings, and boots with purple hearts on them.

Mio looked at the spot where Naruto had just disappeared. "I don't know, Maria; I don't want to drag him into problems that don't concern him. Even after he found out that I was the daughter of the Demon King, he didn't treat me any differently, and I don't want that to change that."

Maria grinned slightly, "Lady Mio, can it be that you like him?"

Mio blushed and stuttered, "W-WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT MARIA?"

Maria continued to grin for a moment and then became serious again. "Seriously, Lady Mio, we've lost our only ally to the Hero Clan, and we're both too weak. However, we would have a good chance with Naruto by our side. He's strong!"

Mio was a beautiful young woman shorter than Naruto, with long crimson hair reaching her waist and pink eyes. For someone her age, she had been noted for having a distinctly slender yet curvy figure with enormous, bouncy breasts and sizeable buttocks.

She wore the female school uniform, which resembles a white sailor uniform that had a black collar and black cuffs that had white horizontal stripes, an orange-colored tie hung from the edges of her collar, a short black skirt that had a single white stripe, a long black socks that had a red-colored ribbon around her upper thigh, and a pair of maroon-colored shoes.

Mio calmed down and looked back to where Naruto stood, "And what do you want me to tell him? I need his help, and he should protect us from the hero clan, the church, the fallen angels, and other enemies. That Basara indirectly kicked us out of the house, and now Yuki lives with him?"

Maria now looked thoughtfully at the spot where Naruto stood. She knew she and Lady Mio would be selfish with such a request. However, they needed Naruto's help. Even when Naruto noticed her and paid her a quick visit, he did nothing but smile awkwardly at her and then disappear again. Maria would never forget how Naruto suddenly appeared in front of her from the schoolyard within a second and then disappeared immediately as if he knew someone was watching him and just wanted to know who. 'Who are you, Naruto Uzumaki?'

Author Note: That would be the first chapter. How Naruto came into this world will be explained later in the story, and what he still can do.
