Half an hour later and they were down to three contestants.
"Okay, I can understand Cerise getting past all of that, but how can Raven and Apple still be in this?" asked Ashlynn.
"Please, compared to the so-called food I had in the Queen Family territory growing up this is nothing," said Raven.
"And I have no clue how I've done this," said Apple.
"Well maybe our next dish will be able to get the last of you out of here," said Chris with a smile that sent a shiver of fear down everyone's spine.
"What is it?" asked Raven while Chef placed covered plates.
"I present to you, grilled wolf's brain seasoned in paprika and mage peppers," said Chef before removing the cover, revealing a mass of gray meat to everyone watching.
"Wolf's brain?" asked Cerise, all the color draining from her face before she instantly threw up in a nearby bucket.
"And there we have it, Apple and Raven move onto the finals!" said Chris.
"Whoa, this is going to be crazy," said Alistar.
"I'm not going to hold back even against my girlfriend, so you had better be ready," said Apple with a confident smile to the witch.
"Bring it on," said Raven while holding her hand out and returning the smile.
"Well, the finals are looking to be a tougher one than we had thought," said Chris.
"Once enemies on the battlefield of destiny turned friends and now lovers will have to face off in one more battle for the grand prize," he said.
