Azalea felt her phone buzz in her pocket, she saw it was Stefan and answered it.

"Hey,"
"Hey," he said.

"What's happened now?" she half-teased.

He sighed.

"It does feel like that doesn't it."

She could hear the strain in his voice.
"Jules told Tyler everything she knows about me, and Damon and what happened to Mason. And that Caroline has been lying – You were so good with Jeremy –"

"Yes, I will help you talk to Tyler," she interrupted before he could even asked her the question. She heard his sigh of relief.

"Come pick me up in the next half an hour, I'll go get changed."
"Thank you, Lea."

The redhead threw on a pair of jeans, and grabbed a forest green top, with a square neckline. She tied her hair into a messy ponytail. Since spending more time with Elena, Caroline and Bonnie, she had begun to wear a little make up some days. When she was done she grabbed a jacket and waited on the porch until she saw Stefan's car and hopped in.

As they drove, they started to talk about what he should and shouldn't know, and whether or not he should be told he hasn't been told everything. Azalea told Stefan she thought they should, that way they are being fully honest and nothing can turn around and bite them.

"It may be best if I go in on my own first… he won't feel as threatened."
"I'm not sure – f"
"Stefan, I'll be fine, you can be listening in the whole time."

She got out of the car, doing a little jog on the stairs before taking a deep breath. She knocked on the door.

After a short moment, Tyler answered.

"Hey Tyler,"
"Lea… hey uh –"
"We need to talk," Azalea told him.

"Now's not a grea –"

"I know about you and Caroline, Damon and Stefan and other stuff you're gunna want answers too. We need to talk" she emphasized.

His eyes widened.

"I am not a vampire; I am not a wolf. But I can talk to you about everything… if you want."

He stared at her for a long moment, deciding if he could trust her. After thirty-nine seconds, he moved his body and gestured for her to come inside. She smiled and followed him.

Azalea started pretty much where she had with Jeremy. She and Stefan decided it was better for her to talk to Tyler alone before he came in as support. She told him all about her life, and showed him her patronus. She moved on to everything that had happened since she had come to Mystic Falls including what Mason had done to her, (she omitted that she could come back to life, said that Katherine had healed her up in time. She didn't know she had vampire blood in her system).

Half-truths, when it came to her ability.

She then moved onto what Mason was after and why, telling him about Elena and her part, and why the curse was to be broken, who it was really for.

"You ok, Tyler?" she asked him as he sat and processed.

"That was a lot of information," he looked at her. "Why are you helping me? I was just a creep when we met… I'm an asshole."
"You've matured a lot since September," she told him. "You've had to… I believe in second chances, in showing remorse, in change… And hey, my uncle was a werewolf. You can say I have a soft spot." She nudged him slightly.

"There is stuff I haven't mentioned yet – believe it or not – but right now it's stuff you don't fully need to know. Stuff that can't be leveraged above you… As you join our little mystical fold I am sure you'll find out… Is it ok if Stefan comes in?" she asked. He looked at her for a long moment then nodded.

"He says its ok," she said at normal volume. Stefan appeared in front of the sofa the two were sitting on.

"It's your home. It's my home too. I want this to work," Stefan said.

"And it can," Azalea said, put her hand on his and squeezed it.

They chatted a little more, mostly Stefan reassuring him that this could work, and we didn't have to be enemies. When Tyler's phone rang, he stared for a moment before he answered it. He looked between the two of them. Azalea nodded, with a smile.

"Hello," he said.

Azalea could hear a woman – Jules – on the other side. She tried to listen in but couldn't catch the words.

"I'm staying here," he told her. "This is my home, and I trust my friends – Even the vampires" he clarified after a pause.

He spoke for a few more minutes before he hung up. He turned to them both and smiled.

"Thank you. For coming to talk to me. For inviting me into this…" he struggled find the word he wanted.

"Of course," Azalea smiled, squeezing his shoulder. "Stefan, we should go. We'll keep you updated as stuff happened." She promised.

They left the house, and Stefan dropped her back home. He told her that he and Damon were working on sacrifice stuff. She wished them luck, but decided to go home. After a few hours Caroline text her telling her that she was going to meet Matt at the Grill tonight to talk. She wished her luck but stayed home with Alaric and… Elijah. The trio ate their food, Elijah making great effort to keep the conversation going asking them both about themselves, their stories. He told a few of his own from moments in history.

As Azalea got ready for bed, she saw her phone light up with a message from Caroline.

Talk with Matt went great! Catch up soon! xoxo

She smiled at the message before diving into her covers allowing sleep to take her…

Azalea woke the next morning, to her phone buzzing beside her. She groaned and answered it.

"What?"
"Well hello sleepy head,"

She could hear Damon's amused smirk.

"We need to have a chat… John gave me something last night…"
"And you want to have me check it over as we don't trust him." she ruffled her hair, and with a little stretchy swung her legs off the side of her bed.

"Exactly, see you just get me." he said mockingly, she rolled her eyes. "No," his tone changed. "I'm taking the dagger to witchy and grandma witch to look at. You are staying put, I read through everything you found last night. And, it doesn't mention the dagger once. The closest it got was that Finn hasn't been seen in nearly nine hundred years. So clearly something happened."

"Exactly, my notes." She reminded him standing up and glaring into space. "Who was the one who told you the sun and the moon curse wasn't real? Me. Who told you about Klaus, and worked out that he was the hybrid who needed to break the curse? Me! So far most of the key information we have found has come from me Damon. So, you cannot –" Azalea realised she must have been raising her voice as Elijah was in the doorway looking at her concerned. Leaning against the frame with one hand in his pocket.

"Elijah," she said, alerting Damon that the original was there also. "Sorry was I being too loud?"
He walked towards her gesturing towards the phone. She hesitantly gave it to him.

"To whom am I speaking to?" he said, she could hear the muffle of Damon speaking on the other side.

"Ah, and what might I ask has Azalea ruffled so thoroughly?"

She opened her mouth to speak he held his hand up his index finger up gesturing for her to wait, as he listened to whatever Damon was saying on the other side.

"I see… Well perhaps I could be in use in babysitting Azalea after the luncheon today. We have much to discuss." He said smirking at her, as her expression turned into fury.

Hangs up.

"I hear that you have quite the magnet for trouble. And given what I know of your history, I would suggest that you remain home.
"I can take care of –"

"Certainly. However… there isn't any harm in you having some protection. I have some errands to run, there is a tea party in my honour today. Can I trust that you will not leave the house in my absence?"
"I am planning to meet Tyler, he wants to talk more about… all of this. It is just the Grill. No one can make a scene in front of all the Muggles."
He stared at her for a long moment, accessing the risk of the young witch getting into trouble that may put her in a high risk of danger.
"Very well. Though I ask that you return back here for the afternoon,"

She and Tyler chatted outside the Grill, she offered to pay for the mountains of food that the werewolf was consuming but he refused. She allowed him to ask all of the questions he wanted. She told him the truth, and when she couldn't tell him everything she let him know that she hadn't. He asked more about what Mason had done to her, and she told him honestly, and she told him about Katherine, and what her part of all of this was. She told him she wasn't able to do anything right now, but refused to tell him where she was. He wanted to talk to her about Mason, and she flat out told him no. Katherine was too manipulative, too cunning while his emotions were so high. He wasn't happy with her answer, but accepted it. He told her that he text Caroline to say sorry, she smiled telling him that was a good idea.

The two parted ways, and Azalea began to make her way towards her home – there was only so many times a girl could disappear from the Mystic Grill bathroom – enjoying the flowers on the trees as she walked.

She was around half way there when a group of people with their hoods down began to encircle her. Sensing who this could be she stopped, holding her wand in her pocket. Ready to strike.

"So yours the witch who is going to break the curse," a woman said, putting her hood down with a smile, before it dropped. "Working for the vampires,"

Azalea laughed without humour.

"Been following me or Tyler?" she asked them, her eyes shifted around the pack. Watching for them to make a move.

"I don't know what you said to him to make him believe whatever the vampires told you to say –"

"I am going to stop you there… No pun intended, but you are barking up the wrong tree." She told them dryly. "Let's keep this civil,"

They moved a little closer.

"We don't want to break the curse – The curse –"

It was Jules' turn to laugh humourlessly as she interrupted the redhead.

"Come with us quietly and we won't hurt you." She said taking a step closer the others followed.

"I hate to burst your bubble, but the sun and moon isn't real. It's the originals manipulating people into finding ingredients for the curse on one of them."

"Is that what you told Tyler," she mocked. Azalea drew her wand, realising that Jules and the pack were not going to believe anything she said.

"I suggest you leave the girl be,"

Azalea whipped her head around at the familiar voice. Elijah was stood behind one of the shorter wolves behind her. His expression pleasant on the surface, but everyone there could see the hidden threat behind his words.

"Now, if you move away now. No harm shall come to you tonight." He said pleasantly. "Make one more step, and I am afraid that tonight will be your last." He took a step again, the wolves closest to him looked between the original vampire and Jules. The redhead was doing the same. She glared at the vampire before gesturing for them to go. They fled in the opposite direction; Elijah smiling pleasantly as they went. He then turned to Azalea.

"Seems even the safest of places are not immune to your magnet for danger."

"I was fine," she put her wand firmly back in its hold, crossing her arms.
"Really," he said looking at her amused. "Come along. We should get back to your home, before you summon a flock of sinister fae, or perhaps a hoard of rabid –"

"All right, all right already I get it," Azalea grumbled walking toward her home, ignoring the amused vampire who walked with her.
