Chapter 60: Punishment in Full
A/N: Hey Guys and Happy New Years! To make up for all the time I've spent making this chapter I've made it bigger than usual, so I hope you enjoy this big battle scene! Anyway, enjoy!
Finally after much time had passed in the future the battle between Gods and Mortals was about to change with one more twist...
Crashing down onto the ruined earth was Cell in his dark form, battered and ruined even more so than his imposter. While he was able to do numbers against his opponent there was an immense gap in power between the two that only became more evident the more time had passed. Before long Cell found himself utterly outclassed with no way of recovering safely
After a long and arduous struggle Cell could feel his pain overwhelm him and his energy dissipate as he dropped his super powered form and stare at his enemy with cold eyes. Never would he have thought that a measly body snatcher would beat him so badly using his own power yet his suspension of disbelief was broken by the searing pain all over him
While the original Bio-Weapon lay defeated on the ground his copycat boasted his victory by floating above his near-dead opponent. "You've done well to show me what real power is like," Black boasted with his glowing pink form, "but I believe your usefulness has run out!"
In a flash the distance between the two was closed, the false copy flying after the original at high speeds intent on landing a devastating blow to finish the battle. Helpless to the incoming attack Cell was unresponsive as he witnessed the finishing blow come ever closer to him
But in a twist of fate the flying fist was intercepted by a blue heel that kicked the hand out of the way, followed by another heel landing onto Black's face to send him flying to one side, saving Cell from the finishing punch. The surprise assist took the fallen god completely off guard as he crashed into a distant building at the outskirts of the makeshift arena he fought in. In no time he recovered by casually destroying the building in an outburst of ki, leading him to come face to face with the two Saiyan warriors from before now fully healed and powered up
"Ah, so you're the calvary that was worth stalling for. I'm surprised, you've managed to underwhelm me so viciously." Black commented, disregarding the seasoned warriors before him
"And you got stronger." Goku remarked, making Black chuckle to himself
"Of course, this body was due for a makeover. Using the power culminated in this body and harnessed using godly Ki. Truly, I've become a weapon like none other."
"Hmph. Showing off power that isn't yours." Vegeta remarked
"On the contrary, I've finally crafted this vessel more to my liking." Cell Black continued to boast before freezing in thought. "Although, I need a name for myself, something that humors the likes of you mortals... Ah, I know."
In a cocky manner the false Android flared his ki, overwhelming everyone around as the invisible yet very much present power of the god overtook the field for a moment before retracting. And in a cheeky manner of showing off he lifted his right hand to the side of his head in a way to emphasize his hand, flashing the time ring on his finger. "Call me...Rosé Cell Black, the exterminator of mortals."
"Enough games! We're here to fight."
"Oh? Well come at me then, I'm sure you'll be sufficient appetizers. Though the main course has long since been finished... A shame, really."
Recognizing their chance the two Saiyans began powering up, yelling at the top of their lungs. Like time and time again the Earth began to shake violently, the stormy dark clouds above swirling in the black of the night as lighting struck down from the sky. Much like Cell Black and Frieza before them two distinct flashes of colored light brightened the area, one blue and the other red. Soon the two new fighters revealed their newly acquired forms, upgrades from what came before
The first of the two was Goku, who turned his colored hair from red to blue and raising it as though he was in Super Saiyan. Which in reality was what he was, a Super Saiyan of a God. A glowing blue aura surrounded him and even his tail that was wrapped around his waist glowed blue as well
Second was Vegeta who's black colored battle suit and armor remained intact this time, though now his untamed black hair was a fiery red like that of a Super Saiyan God. His former crimson red aura was now a more vibrant and saturated color, and his ki was insensible like the God and Rosé forms. Even still the artificial eyeliner remained and his hair overgrown hair fell to his shoulders and back, but as a whole he was different that that of a Super Saiyan Primal
Both Saiyans smiled as they witnessed Black's baffled and irritated expression which was quickly replaced by amusement. "You continue to sully the name of the gods using those ridiculous forms. Truly, what might these bastardized reflections of godhood be called I wonder?"
"Before I was a Super Saiyan God," Goku went first, "but now I was able to go higher by becoming a Super Saiyan on top of that. So this is what's known as a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Or Super Saiyan Blue for short."
"And I was a Super Saiyan Primal," Vegeta continued, "and with the power of a God I transcended and am now a Super Saiyan Primal God. But the likes of you will refer to me as Super Saiyan Red."
"And together, we'll take you down!" They both synchronized their threats, making fist gestures as well to further emphasize their points
But to the actual former god, their boastings felt more juvenile than threatening, especially the names of the transformations. "An ape that became a god became more ape, and the greatest ape became more godly. How strangely amusing. I'd laugh if it wasn't so utterly insulting, though no less ridiculous." He berated as he outstretched his hands. "Even so, you don't have the necessary power to defeat me!"
"We'll see about that!" Vegeta yelled as the two launched after the false Android
Holding both arms to guard his body Cell Black felt as two fists crashed into him, but to their shock he refused to budge from his place. Seeing the surprise on their face only amused him further as he threw a fist at one. Although the Saiyan he aimed at was able to dodge the attack it was a very narrow evasion
The three began the mutual game of measuring their strength against each other, throwing a grand series of punches and kicks at each other as they gauged the power of both sides
From the sidelines the real Androids began recuperating Cell's strength. The moment 21 realized she was free to assist Cell she pulled out a small bag attached to her and took out a green pill, forcing it into the bio-weapon's mouth. The effects of the pill were immediate allowing Cell to stand back on his feet as though nothing had happened, but if only he wished that were so
"Why are you here?" He interrogated, the hostility in his voice clear and direct though 21 responded with equal ferocity
"I came because I had to make sure you stayed alive." She replied with a furrowed brow
Although to Cell he couldn't immediately pin point the source of her anger, it quickly came as a realization when she caressed the bag beside her, almost in fear of losing it and her hopes along with it. "...I'm sorry I was unable to warn you about my prolonged stay." He soon apologized, though that was not enough to calm her down
"You didn't have to stay here," She argued, "you didn't have to almost die just because you can."
"It was a needed sacrifice." He pushed back. "Without my power none of the others would be-"
"You can't just throw your life away!" She yelled, slapping Cell with enough force to leave a temporary sting on his cheek. The motion itself shocked him into silence, but the following bone crushing hug kept him such
"I was so scared when I heard you stayed, knowing that Goku and Vegeta were beaten so easily." She sobbed, making Cell come to even more realizations than before. "And to think that you'd pull this stunt for the fourth time already! I'm sick of watching you run straight into danger!!"
A shock to his system left Cell speechless as the grown woman cried like a child, her greatest fear having narrowly been avoided. Unlike her former husband and son, Cell would not share the same fate as they but the scare was enough to force a visceral emotion out of the Android
"Don't leave me okay? Not like that... I'm not ready for you to die on me..."
The strange circumstances left Cell utterly perplexed by 21's actions. For the first time in a while she was being entirely unreasonable in her actions, following him into a danger she had no need to fight, crying and keeping him in place as the situation slowly but surely escalated in the distance. If it were anyone else he'd have shoved her off and chastised her for being so wildly inappropriate for the situation on hand. Except this wasn't just anyone else. This was his one and true friend, the one who stayed by his side for years to soothe his loneliness, the one who supported him and continued to do so despite the things he's done before
Android 21 wasn't just anyone else, so rather than ignore her feelings Cell chose to instead understand them and her perspective. Although he couldn't properly feel the worry and sadness that she felt in the moment he could at least recognize it. For a second he wondered how and when he came to be such a cherished person to her, before asking himself the same thing about her. When had he come to care about her enough to settle his own worries and comfort her as he did now, caressing her back as she cried tears into his chest
"I should stop pulling at her heart." He told himself as he lightly pushed her to stand by herself, allowing her to properly wipe the tears from her eyes
"I'm truly sorry that I did this to you." He apologized again, this time with more sincerity in his voice. "And I promise to you that I won't leave your side as others have before."
To that she seemed to smile as slightly more tears came forward. "You really mean it?"
"I do."
For a second it seemed as though she'd break down again before she forced herself to hold it all together, fearing that her emotions may overtake her again. Moments passed as she sniffed and wiped tears away before hugging Cell one last time
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
After their little make up the two found themselves awkwardly waiting for something to happen. Both Androids looked up to see that the battle was only just beginning. But while it would finally ramp up momentarily, there were a few burning questions that came to mind
"How were Goku and Vegeta able to get so strong? Even with the Hyperbolic Time Chamber they'd only be a quarter as strong." Cell asked, watching as the two went head to head with Cell Black without being completely outclassed like before, though slowly the difference in power revealed itself
"That's because Whis helped them by training them in a pocket dimension that's similar. I hear that it's hundreds of times worse in there. And if it weren't for Bulma having invented the Red Senzu Pill they wouldn't have made it."
"Red Senzu Pills?"
"They're the improved version of the green pills that I helped design, since a few of the Z team used the pills so much that they're useless to them now." 21 answered
"I guess it wouldn't have been long before Bulma found a solution to their lack of healing items." Cell told himself. "Though it's a shame that the strongest two of the team wasted their chances with the pills of my image on mere training."
"You awakened Prestina and Majin Buu in this universe?" 21 asked as well, staring off in the general direction of the secondary battle
"Yes. I took the time to give them a way home, but when I was forced to stay they chose to fight alongside me. Now they indirectly ally with Gohan and the resistance." Cell explained easily
"Wow...you really like helping her, even given the situation." 21 commented, looking back at Cell with an odd expression that was between curiosity and wonder
"I...only want to do what I didn't do before, and that was to leave her with a good impression of me." He confessed. "Even so, after all is said and done she'll be able to return to her home."
For a moment he felt...embarrassed when he looked at the woman's judging eyes, like she was piecing a few things together. He could also recognize the brief silence that followed, likely her being absorbed in thought and conversation with the soul inside
"...You did good, doing all of that." She finally said after much inner turmoil
And yet for Cell, the sentence lifted a pressure from his chest that he didn't know he had. The sense of guilt that had previously overtaken him was now washing away, leaving a temporary yet satisfactory joy as he briefly smiled to himself
"Thank you." He nodded before stiffening again, sensing that their final conversation was coming to an end. "But I believe we'll have to do better in a minute..."
A short distance away from the two the conflict reached its climax, both Goku and Vegeta pummeling the fallen god from either side of him, leaving him vulnerable as he raised his guard to protect himself from one half of the onslaught
But, unexpectedly, in an instant he disappeared leaving the two Saiyans perplexed as they quickly began to search their surroundings
"You've down well, I didn't expect such powerful attacks." Said Black from far above, drawing everyone's attention as he held a small red ball of ki in his palm. "But I believe now it's my turn to show you what I'm made of."
Quickly Black threw the small ki attack between the two Saiyans and before the two could properly defend themselves the ball exploded with a loud boom. Both Goku and Vegeta were sent flying away in opposite directions as Black took the opportunity to strike
The first to be attacked was Goku, who barely recovered in time to avoid a punch that grazed his cheek. In an attempt to retaliate he raised his knee to hit Cell Black in the stomach but the move was evaded with near blinding speed. The Saiyan raised his arms to block a quick string of jabs only for a large ball of ki to push against his arms, locking him in place. The large green attack that held Goku in place was nearly twice as large as he was, and with a swift motion it detonated, launching him miles away from the battlefield in moments
The instance one of the two fighters was sent away Black used Instant Transmission to appear just in front of Vegeta, who fortunately had enough time to use his arm to block the sweeping leg headed for his head. The false Android was able to pressure the man with a blinding string of jabbing kicks that were aimed straight at his chest. After a short while Vegeta's arms grew tired from the assault and before he could think up a plan of attack his enemy backflipped in the air, kicking his arms away as he threw a ki attack at his exposed body
Vegeta was now vulnerable to the slamming feet that hit his face, sending him racing to the ground and crashing in mere seconds. Cell Black was free to give chase to his third prey today, flying after the prince with a pink blade of ki prepared. He was on the verge of reaching his target when he was stopped dead in tracks mere feet away by a force impaling into his chest
Lo and behold Cell in his black form stood between him and Vegeta with his right fist drawn, the force of the impact creating an indent on Black's pink armor as he was nearly launched backwards. Surprisingly, Android 21 followed her ally's lead by appearing behind Black and kicking him with both heels, suspending him place
Capitalizing on the opportunity Cell created a simple metal sword laced with ki, using it to slash at Cell Black and leaving searing cuts into the imposter before making a long horizontal cut across his enemy. Just after the slew of attacks he and 21 disappeared as two energy attacks flew in to devastate the field, one from the returning Goku just above and the other from the prone Vegeta below
Teleporting back into sight a ways away Cell and 21 looked back at the battlefield with observant eyes. Just below Vegeta and Goku recovered and stared expectantly at the cloud of dust that was formed. But for Cell, his years of direct and indirect battle experience told him that something was amiss even if he couldn't sense his enemy. He turned just in time to spot Cell Black dashing after 21, who was busy scanning the field below
Quickly Cell pushed her to the side and used his sword from earlier to slash at his enemy, who avoided both swings before swinging his leg for a kick. Reflexively Cell used the metal blade to block but realized his mistake too late as the sword broke clean in half, allowing Black's foot to slam clean into his face. The opportunity allowed for two more kicks to land onto Cell's hastily raised guard before 21 soon retaliated
Shooting an ineffective ki attack 21 rushed forward, lunging after Black with a fist. But easily his opponent parried her hand, flinging her arm to the side and leaving her exposed enough to take a fist to the stomach. Unlike the others 21 was left stunned by the attack, coughing violently as she gripped her injury. Yet what saved her from a following string of attacks was a flurry of ki attacks coming from the direction of Goku and Vegeta
With a devious grin the false god flipped backwards to receive the barrage of attacks, throwing his open hands to the sides of his head in a move that was familiar only to Cell, who saw it in action hours ago
Just in front of Cell Black a transparent portal formed, absorbing the yellow ki attacks as they harmlessly passed through before it disappeared. For a moment the two assailants were stunned into silence, completely taken aback by the new maneuver. But from a distance, Cell teleported out of sight to prepare for what's to come
Out of the blue the same portal appeared just behind both Saiyans and without warning the barrage of ki attacks from earlier rained upon the two. The storm of attacks kicked up a dust cloud that enveloped both warriors, but by the end they were entirely unharmed. Once the dust slowly settled into place the form of Cell stood between the two with charred armor, having taken the full brunt of the assault. He'd even gone through the trouble of transforming into his old War Machine form to help cushion the attacks though the effect remained just as severe
The second the dust disappeared Black teleported into sight yet again, shoving a ball of ki into Cell's chest and launching him backwards between the two Saiyans. Yet just as the Android began to gain distance Cell Black punched the air, a portal similar to earlier appeared for a brief second to envelop his fist. At the same time the fist appeared through a different portal, this time crashing into Cell's back and suspending his flight
Having fun with the new trick Black threw his fist at the air a few more times, the same fist appearing to hit Cell in different areas of his body before Vegeta and Goku were finally aware enough to intervine. The two tried rushing after Cell Black, lunging after him and throwing various strings of punches and kicks to no avail as portals appeared just before every attack to absorb them, though they could feel the blows land regardless. But unbeknownst to them Cell, who was still suspended in the air behind them, received every attack that was thrown and while he was able to curl into ball to protect himself the strikes stung nonetheless
Eventually the two had enough sense to back off, but in the same moment Black retaliated by swiping Goku's cheek with his leg and then raising his foot into Vegeta's chin, launching the two away yet again as he rushed after Cell
"Whoever he absorbed to obtain those powers must've been a tricky fighter." Cell thought as he was soon enveloped by familiar strings of pink ki. Suddenly, he realized, he was bound by what appeared to be the Bojack gang's capture method, which was unable to replicate the ki absorption part of the move
With one hand creating the bundle of string Black used his other to charge a single blue ball of ki, slowly growing in the span of seconds before it was right enough to use
"Rebellion Trigger" he yelled the stolen move as he tossed the ball at the captured Cell who could only brace for the impact, hopefully it wouldn't drain him as much this time
"Kaio-Ken!" A female voice yelled from a small distance away as a figure ran headfirst into the attack
With a ki powered kick the ball was sent right back at Black, who took the blast headfirst. But surprisingly in the same moment he could feel the strings of ki he held onto suddenly sever
Just as he was wondering who the new assailant was Black saw the dust before him blow away as a transformed Android 21, now wearing her original Majin outfit, flew after the imposter with a blade of red ki in both hands and a blood red aura surrounding her. She rushed down Black with a renewed energy, her every swipe now doubling in speed and in impact yet not doing nearly enough damage as she had hoped. Instead of creating deep gashes into Cell Black's armor there were only semi serious cuts that healed as fast as she made them, and despite being clearly stronger than her Black allowed the attacks to penetrate him for a short period
Eventually, having enough of the little show, Black blocked a single swipe and went in for his own strike, only to miss as 21 narrowly avoided the punch and flew backwards to gain distance. Easily he closed the distance and went in for another punch before a square barrier appeared just between him and his target. It took just one more swing for the protection to break like glass, but suddenly the shards that broke off the former barrier flew directly at him, enveloping him in a thin shield that kept him in place
"Clever." He commented, surprised by the new move. However all it took to break the binds was for him to flare his ki, but in the brief interval of time that it took to free himself 21 threw her hands to the sides of her face
"Solar Flare!" She yelled as the thick black clouds above parted slightly and gave way to the light of the sun. A familiar blinding white light flashed the field, burning Black's eyes shut and causing him to cry at the sudden pain
The effects lasted for moment as his body began healing the light wound, the sky above shutting the sun out of way, but yet again he was caught off guard as he could feel two people grab his arms, one even using what felt to be a tail to hold him in place. Immediately Black found himself in a bind, and without warning a fist implanted itself deep into his gut and an elbow slammed into the back of his neck
Suddenly, Goku and Vegeta began pummeling the helpless Cell Black as 21 and Cell held him in place. The thundering of punches and kicks jamming into his back and front began to sting more and more before the two that held him in place finally let go, allowing for the proceeding kick to send him crashing to the ground floor
"If I could remember the material of those bullets..." Cell thought as he closed his eyes and outstretched his right hand. Slowly he imagined the unique mix of metals and compounds of the anti-ki bullets from earlier and soon a small handful of them floated in place just in front of his hand
"That's it." He exclaimed as he focused further, enveloping the bullets in tiny balls of ki before each one detonated in bursts
"What's that?" 21 wondered, distracted by the sudden inclusion of bullets into the mix of attacks
"A new trick." He answered and soon the four began shooting energy projectiles after the false Android, Cell's being laced with anti-ki bullets
On the ground, Black tried to recover from the assortment of attacks he received before he suddenly felt small bits of metal penetrate his exo-skeleton, sticking in place
"What the devil is-" He began before a sea of ki attacks made its way towards Black, pounding him in place as they landed with acute accuracy. But strangely enough it was the same bits of metal that did the most damage, shooting through his skin like little lasers and puncturing small thin holes into his body
A full minute passed by before the attacks ceased, giving the four a moment to breathe as the dust settled and their bodies relaxed
"There's no way that would've done it." Vegeta commented, too aware of the damage they did compared to their opponent's durability
As if on command the imposter Android flew up from the dust cloud in all his shining glory, various scratches, burns and holes slowly healing themselves as he flew up to meet the four with a cocky grin
"I applaud you all for lasting this long, truly I have not begun to fathom how insufferable you mortals are until now."
"You say that like you've won already." Goku proclaimed, a little skeptical of the circumstances
"Clearly I have not, since you four continue to breathe the same air as me." Black complained
"He's got a trick up his sleeve, one that he's learned from me personally." Cell explained, almost annoyed as the others turned to look at him
"What do you mean 'learned from you'? What could he have leaned from you that he didn't already know?" 21 questioned
"It's the secret to his power." Black boasted, catching their attention yet again. "You see Cell is able to recover from any injury and grow stronger from it. I, on the other hand, have learned how to amplify those effects further."
"That would mean-"
"Yes indeed." He interrupted, seeing the realization dawn on their faces. "Every attack that I've allowed you to land has only made me stronger. And with this new power I'm able to turn the tables as easily as you."
As the imposter spoke the broken metal sword from earlier floated into sight, now just a piece of shattered steel with a colorful handle. The blade that Cell made soon floated into Black's hands where he inspected it playfully, to the confusion of everyone
"In my conquest for more power," Black began to recount, "I stumbled into a wide assortment of fighters across timelines, each with their own sets of gimmicks and powers. Although there was one that interested me the most, a demon manufactured from all the siphoned evil of hell, whose existence bent the fabric of reality apart. In absorbing him, I obtained a handful of the monsters tricks although not all of them."
As if to prove his point the shattered sword in his hand morphed into a simple metal rod, not at all similar to Dabura's demonic ability of creation. Instead it was like for a moment Black was able to bend reality to force the shape of the sword to change
"From then on I've begun to collect all mortal sins and carry them with me as I purify the world of the gods. I shall use your own damned techniques to destroy you, a fitting end to a species that does nothing but ruin that which is given to you." He said as he then jammed one end of the metal rod into the palm of his hand, which would've stabbed through his hand if it didn't start to sear
"Behold, the sins of mortals under the perfect control of a god. I'll use your own destructive abilities to bring about a new era to the world!!"
Suddenly the simple metal rod began to glow pink in color and smoke started to emit from the stabbed hand. From the palm of Black's hand a pink light shone as the burning of the metal rod continued to create smoke before he began to pull away the rod from his hand. Surprisingly the rod began to grow in size and glow much brighter until it spanned the length of a long staff, and by then the glow made it seem as though it were a construct of ki, only with a solid base at the center. Finally Black curved the end of the rod, creating a sharp blade that made the newly created weapon into scythe. With a quick twirl the fallen god thrusted the weapon high into the air, exposing the shiny pink scythe to the world around in a profound statement that only he could understand
"Behold! The weapon of your demise!" He proclaimed proudly, leading to a few confused expressions around him
Without any more fanfare Cell Black rushed forward after the two Saiyan Warriors using speeds unlike before, marking the clear improvement of his strength. Easily he closed the distance between them and swung his blade at Goku, who dodged the attack and stepped backwards only for Black to begin chasing him
With wild swings of his scythe Black began rushing down the Saiyan in blue, swinging yet narrowly missing as he continued to toy with his prey. It was easy to figure out that one cut from the edge of the weapon could deal massive damage to the likes of all but Cell. Still, as Black swung again and again a new fighter joined into the fray in the form of Vegeta who attempted to attack from behind. Yet in an unprompted fashion Black swung his tool over his head, forcing Vegeta to halt before he turned around and went after Vegeta instead
To Black it felt as though he were playing a little game of cat and mouse, chasing after his prey and launching a lethal attack after the other with no real care for effectiveness or accuracy. It wasn't frustrating in the least to hit only air with each hefty swing, instead he could feel his artificial heart pump the closer he came to hitting and slicing his target
"Absolute Discharge Ball!!/Life Flash!!" The two Androids yelled from a distance as a purple beam and a blue energy ball were sent flying after Black, who was well aware of the attacks as he simply spun in place and sliced apart both attacks, causing them to explode and create dust in the air
"Playtime's over!" Black yelled from the temporary darkness as he lunged after Goku at supersonic speeds to deliver yet another swing of his scythe, this time with actual effort and force
Unable to dodge the attack like before Goku was forced to shift forward and bring his right arm to guard his head, narrowly catching the weapon by the blunt end of the staff rather than being pierced by the edge. But even more surprising was the grin across Black's face as he pulled the weapon inward, yanking the warrior by the back of the head and line for a powerful knee slam to the chest, forcing the Saiyan to cough up spit as Cell Black slammed his knee again into Goku's chin
Now trapped by his weapon Black swung the scythe, forcing Goku to fly along with it before he was flung ways away. With a quick twirl to readjust his grip he swung his scythe after the flying figure of Goku, creating a pink energy wave that flew right after him. Luckily the mortal was able to shift his flying trajectory and dodge out of the way of the attack, but for some odd reason the wave seemed to linger in place just a mile away, festering an unreadable power that seemed to distort the air around it
But pulling Goku away from the quick distraction was Black who flew after him in a relentless pursuit. This time around the others managed to fire a barrage of ki attacks in hopes of impeding the false Android yet it was all countered by his weapon which he threw towards the collection of energy blasts, spinning in place as it sliced apart any attack that dared go through it
As for Goku, he desperately avoided the man in pursuit as he was isolated from his teammates, yet the much faster Cell Black easily caught up to him. In retaliation Goku threw his right fist in his defense but instead it was caught by Black's left hand. Quickly Black shifted forwards and locked their arms around their shoulders, placing pressure on Goku's shoulder as he easily dislocated it with a tug of his arm. The moment the Saiyan began to yell in pain Black took the opportunity to use his spare arm to punch him in the throat, silencing him before he swung his whole body inwards and jammed his knee into Goku's chest
With a wheeze Goku floated backwards in place before two intertwined fists met with the back of his neck, sending him sprawling towards the Earth below. In the same instance Vegeta finally broke through the defense of the automated weapon, speeding towards Black in an attempt to catch him off guard. Instead, the scythe that was once left swinging in place now chased after Vegeta and swung itself, forcing Vegeta to bring his guard up as the base of the weapon met with Vegeta's arms. In the moment that he was left stuck Black swooped in to impale his foot into Vegeta's stomach, sending him flying away as Black shot a ki blast in his direction for good measure
Next came the other two remaining warriors who coordinated their efforts as Cell rushed in while using a green over shield to cover him. Normally the response would be to shoot him down from the sky, but instead Black threw his scythe yet again, watching as it spun towards his target only to miss as it passed him. Soon he outstretched both arms and blocked Cell from crashing headfirst into him, holding him in place
"Destructo Disk Barrage!!"
Quickly a strange energy attack came in the form of overlapping disks flying in from behind Cell. Just as they were on the verge of hitting the Android they splintered off, curving around him and towards Black. Oddly enough each disk was able to cut a few inches into his armor before they all exploded fruitlessly
"I outmatch you." Black boasted as the pink scythe came shooting back into the fray, this time penetrating through Cell's barrier and slicing off his arms in a brutal fashion
In the instance that the Bio-Weapon's body moved forward without his arms holding him in place Black slammed his elbow into his face with one arm and caught his recalled weapon using the other. Just as Cell started to back away Black swung his scythe upwards, stabbing the energy weapon into his chest and up his throat. For a moment the two remained in place before Black finally spun in place to swing Cell into a random direction
With his most immediate threat cleared Black was free to move on to the fourth opponent. The moment he saw Cell fly away into the distance he turned towards the pink woman in the air and shot a few powerful Ki blasts after her, certain that they were strong enough to bring her down. Even better came the shock to her face as she tried to raise her arms to stop the blasts, but much to both their surprise the attacks blew up a little early, causing Black to frown
"Ever persistent..." He growled, watching as the figure of Cell stood tall between him and 21 with a hole in his chest
Black attempted to catch his enemy off guard by teleporting just in front of Cell and swinging his scythe downwards to slice him apart yet unexpectedly came the sound of metal clanging against metal. At the last second Cell had created what seemed to be two Sais, which he used to jam into the scythe using the gaps between the prongs to trap the glowing weapon
The second Black was locked into place Cell managed to use all of his strength to yank the weapon, throwing it out of the hands of the false god and whipping around to implant the two smaller weapons into Black. However, what stopped him was the presence of a searing blade of energy that went through his chest, melting his insides as he was locked in place
"Neat trick," Black stated, "but it'll take more to claim the upper hand."
Immediately following the remark the scythe seemed to fly back into his other hand. With an evil grin on his face Black released his hold on the smaller blade of energy and got to work on his scythe, slashing and cutting apart Cell at an impressive pace. Every cut made a hot pink trail of Ki and was left burning into his body, preventing him from healing as his whole body soon began to glow in pink
After having completed his marvelous art project Black flew summersaulted backwards, showing off the full glory of his might and power as he began almost dancing in the air before settling on a pose, raising his leg up like he was preparing for a kick, maintaining his right arm towards Cell and holding his pink weapon above his head. The ridiculous motions, however, triggered a horrific effect as Cell detonated upon striking the pose, lighting up the sky in brilliant light
"Cell!!" 21 yelled in fear as she flew forward into the cloud of dust that formed, disappearing behind it
"How wonderful an attack, I'm almost shocked by my own elegance." Black praised himself, turning around to see his enemies preparing their surprise attack
"Kamehameha!/Final Shine Attack!" Both Goku and Vegeta yelled from a distance as their colored beams flew after Black, racing to meet their target
With a deviant smile Goku Black teleported out of the way of the beams. For a moment the attacks seemed stop in place when going through the cloud of dust before eventually passing through it, destroying it completely as 21 quickly flew out of the attack range
For a moment the two were puzzled by their mistake until they realized just what had happened. But in their thinking both were shot down from the sky
"The hell?!"
Just as quickly as the dust was formed it settled, allowing both Saiyans to spot their assailants... A squadron of Cell Blacks floating around. But there were key differences to note, their expressionless faces as well as the brilliance of their armor. Unlike the Cell Black they've been fighting who used the Rosé form, none of the Blacks seemed to glow at all as their skin were a slightly darker shade than normal
"Quite the surprise is it not? Bending the reality of this world to fit my purpose." Said the real Cell Black as he floated into their perspective, still holding his weapon firmly while smiling
"How're you doing that?!" Goku demanded, looking around to see the army of clones
"Simple, that portal I've made." He responded, motioning behind the two
Without a word the two Saiyans turned to spot the rift that was left after one of Black's attacks. They witnessed as a small pink bundle of ki in the shape of a cloud floated out of the rift before molding itself and taking the shape of Cell Black, only with darker skin and an expressionless face
"I've learned countless tricks throughout my travels." Black boasted yet again. "A shame you likely won't get to see them when I'm done with you."
Quickly the small army of Cell Blacks rushed in to attack Goku and Vegeta while the real one remained observant, entertained by their plight. Standing back-to-back the two fought tooth and nail to defend themselves, blocking various punches, swiping several ki attacks and countering with many energy attacks. Yet no matter how many enemies they shot down they always remained, merely deforming into their cloud-like state before reforming and returning to the fray. Slowly the two were overwhelmed by the growing army of clones, all the while Black laughed his heart out in the distance
But from ground level the female Android crashed into the earth with a panic, coughing up blood and feeling her body's energy waver. For a brief moment in time she was caught in the attack of the two godly Saiyans, forcing her to expend massive amounts of energy to defend herself. Worse was the loss of her Kaio-Ken form, leading to her body convulsing in pain. However, the reason for the risk was the small bundle of organic material that was floating in the air moments ago, now held in her hands with maximum delicacy
With a huff of relief and a violent cough the woman set down the small sack and pulled from her pouch of Senzu pills. After eating one all of her energy returned and she was able to observe the battle above with calm and clarity, though her muscles still twitched
"Cell Black is using new tricks to tire out Goku and Vegeta." She observed. "There has to be something we can do to prevent it."
Between herself and the soul the two began to devise new strategies while Cell recovered just beside them, regenerating large chunks of his body while the other two schemed. And yet by the time he recovered fully and ate a Senzu Pill there was still no plan of action
"Do you feel like you've grown enough to take him head on?" 21 asked the now fully healed Cell
"No, not enough of a zenkai boost I'm afraid." Cell lamented. "Black was able to harness my ability to recover from wounds and grow stronger, but it seems that his new form allows him to increase the effects tenfold." Cell explained with worry. "I'm afraid even if we're able to put a good dent in his armor he'll just attack with more ferocity."
"Then is there a way we can counteract this ability?" 21 wondered, pondering the question
"...There is one caveat to this ability."
"Really? What is it?"
"Although his body is able to bounce back to full health the ki and energy he expends will remain spent until he can recover properly." He stated, recalling his own battle to the death years ago against the array of Fusion Warriors. "In essence although his body is able to grow substantially stronger there's a limit to the benefits before his fatigue begins to take over."
"In other words we need to drain his stamina. But how can we do that now that his power is ramping up."
"Then I'll have to sacrifice my own body in order to get him to that brink."
"What?!" 21 asked, although she already had an idea of where he was going
"I can trap him while he's off guard and use all of my own energy in one final attack, that way he'll be forced to use up copious amounts of energy to recover while I take a Senzu Pill."
"But that's too risky!" 21 objected. "What if you're left vulnerable for too long and Black sees the opportunity to strike? And how can you be certain that your own attack won't kill you?"
"Because I'll mimic the move I used to escape the spirit bomb. I'll protect and teleport my last remaining cell to you in order to survive."
Android 21 was on the verge of objecting when she found herself incapable of doing so. Aside from her obvious worries there was little to no time to think on the matter personally, and instead she needed to see it logically. Cell himself is the only one of the group that can regenerate, with her own powers of regenerating having been lost when she split apart from her evil self. And with Cell having lived through this sort of thing before...
"...Fine," she agreed reluctantly, "you can use me as a beacon for your teleportation. But please, don't stay longer than you have to and make sure to protect yourself well."
"Thank you." He said as he zoomed into action, not wasting another moment as he sped towards his target in his black colored form
From the distance Black was able to see the flying form of Cell coming and proceeded to launch a barrage of Ki attacks. But much to his surprise they had little effect, watching as his enemy transformed into his old War Machine form and took the blasts head on. Undeterred the now dark, hulking form of Cell raced towards Black
Quickly the false Android swung his scythe at Cell, only for his opponent to dodge as he slipped past him and grabbed him from behind. Now restrained both Androids struggled against each other as Cell hauled them towards the pink rift in the air
"You think you can hold me for long?" Black demanded as he tried to use his scythe to stab Cell, but he simply did not care as his body began to glow
"I don't have to," he said in a metallic voice, "because I'll make sure you don't recover from this!!"
In a flash of light a glowing yellow sphere formed, enveloping the two of them. And with a single cry Cell spent all of his own energy to obliterate the both of them, burning away their bodies as the devastating sphere of effect seemed to grow little by little. Soon it even enveloped the rift, destroying it along with the clones of Cell Black. An entire minute passed before the attack dissipated, leaving only a small clump of mass in its wake
Quickly the mass grew in size until Cell Black appeared yet again, de-powered and huffing tiredly. Before him the four assailants floated in front of him, ready for more action as even Cell seemed to be revitalized from his suicidal attack
"Damnit! It seems they've gained the upper hand." He realized as he powered up to his Rosé form yet again, still with enough energy to continue the fight
Elsewhere a miniature battle of endurance persisted as Zamasu refused to fall to any of the reserve fighters, they being the three future freedom fighters, the two resurrected Majins and the Cell Jr.
For a moment the group was able to feel a shaking of the earth and from a distance a bright shining light tore through the field. The explosion was followed by the emergence of two injured warriors that everyone could recognize as the same person
"Black is losing?!" They collectively realized, and as Zamasu struggled to get his bearings the others used the distraction to pounce
Trunks was the first of the group to rush in for the attack, his extended yellow hair glistening as he attempted to punch Zamasu. Instead the Kai was able to sidestep his strike, forcing Trunks to launch a barrage of desperate attacks. Yet the fallen god easily sidestepped and evaded each attack with little difficulty, taunting his mortal opponent as he did so. "It'll take more than that to hit me." He declared as he managed to grab hold of Trunks' arm and throw him over his shoulder, rocketing him straight to the ground
Quickly Gohan stepped in with his normal Super Saiyan form, able to put up the same fight as Trunks in his third Super Saiyan form as he launched a barrage of punches and kicks after Zamasu. But similar the last one the Kai avoided each attack by redirecting and pushing them aside like they were child's play. Even Videl joined in with her sword, wildly slashing her blade to even less effect
For a while the little game continued before the Kai simply arched his back to avoid the sweeping leg kick coming from a flying Trunks. Immediately the two hybrids joined in their efforts to stall as they attacked Zamasu from both ends, but with nearly the exact same results as before
"Tiring yourselves out before me. A fatal mistake."
The Immortal was able to hit a pose in the shape of a T, holding out his hands as he caught two fists simultaneously. Before the Half-Saiyans could break away Zamasu spun in place and threw both to the wayside. Taking the opportunity he enveloped his body with purple ki as he chased after Gohan, brandishing his ki sword as he flew after the man. His body became almost a single slashing blade of Ki before it cleaved straight through the unprepared Gohan
The result was the loss of the man's right arm, forcing a painful cry from him as the limb was detached from his body. Without a second thought Zamasu turned to face his opponent as he readied a barrage of purple Ki attacks
"No!!!" Trunks yelled as he made a mad dash for his former master, arriving just in time to grab the severed limb and use his own body to protect Gohan from the new wave of ki attacks. With a string of explosions the two Saiyans were sent to the ground, and yet what prevented Zamasu from chasing after them again was a massive wave of single energy blasts coming to his direction
Prestina, Majin Buu, Cell Jr. and Videl each took the time to begin blasting Zamasu with all their might, overwhelming him yet leaving him undamaged. Eventually as he remained occupied Prestina broke away to attend the needs of her ally, who was gravely wounded. The man winced painfully as his former student held onto him and his arm, making him now identical to the Gohan that Trunks had in his own timeline
"Can you heal him?" Came the urgent request as Prestina took hold of Gohan's arm, held it place as though it weren't detached and used her healing magic to repair the damage as best she could
Luckily for the three of them the effect worked as intended, the stump seemed to attach itself to the loose arm and now reattached it, functional with only an outline that marked where it had once been cut. Even during the high tensions around them the three were able to breathe a sigh of relief, memories of a different time flooding Trunks' mind. But reeling the scarred warrior back to reality was the sudden stop of the rain of fire from above
Looking up the three saw the immortal Kai bound in place by a thick wad of pink skin. The God shifted in place, struggling against the pink substance but was nearly helpless as he tore his arms through it to attempt to rip it apart. But as he struggled in place Majin Buu floated just in front of him with an annoyed expression on his face
"This no fun!" He yelled out of pure frustration. "Me Buu can't eat you! Me Buu can't absorb you either!" He proclaimed as Zamasu continued to fight for his freedom. Majin Buu had long since tried both tricks to no avail. Even now the sheer force of power behind the God's motions prevented the pink substance from overtaking him
"Me Buu...Angry! Me Buu wanna...blow you to pieces!!" He yelled as steam escaped from the holes in his head. In his fit of rage a pink barrier enveloped him as the ground began to shake
"Everyone get back!" Trunks yelled as the three rushed towards Videl and the Cell Jr., making sure that everyone was at a safe distance before the real light show began
With an ear-piercing cry Buu exploded with rage and ki, extending the reach of his mildly contained explosion by a mile in diameter before it eventually dissipated. At the center of what remained were two pink and green blobs that floated in the air
The familiar pink piece of skin quickly grew in size before it reshaped itself into the form of Buu. But as for the green patch of skin it began to glow a bright white light as it grew into the vague shape of the Kai, clothes included. Eventually when the mold of complete light disappeared to reveal Zamasu, fully intact and more annoyed than before. However, before he or Buu could even think of their next move a metal blade soon impaled the God through the chest. Quickly Trunks in his Super Saiyan 3 form and Gohan in his Super Saiyan form appeared to continue the assault, not giving their enemy a chance to recover
Pulling the sword out of Zamasu's gut Trunks was able to land a string of deep cutting slashes before blasting him with a single explosion of Ki, similar in fashion to his killing of Frieza. But his opponent remained whole after the dust subsided, and even then the attacks continued as Gohan ran in to apply an oppressive assault of punches to the face. After good few hits the Hybrid Saiyan jumped onto his opponent and used Zamasu's chest like a springboard as he jumped into a backflip. By the time the assault had reached its end everyone else had prepared themselves for a finishing blow, colored balls of Ki having finished charging. Hastily Gohan prepared his own final attack in to join along with the others
"Kamehameha!/Galick Gun!/Special Beam Canon!/Eagle Blast!" The future warriors and the Android yelled out as they launched beams of different colors towards Zamasu, locking him in place as his body was enveloped in burning light
"Hailstorm!/Disappear!" The final two Majins joined in as a storm of simple Ki attacks showered the God as well, destroying his body almost completely
When the dust settled and the fighters had gathered again they saw a completely intact Zamasu, but now with a more serious expression on his face. Although the progress they made was for nothing, there was a more pressing concern for the Kai
"Black's power is waning. He won't last much longer." He thought, sensing the godly Ki that almost no one else was able to sense. Left with no choice he abandoned his petty squabble and flew towards his companion, looking to assist him
"He's going after Black!" Gohan yelled as the group gave chase almost immediately, not willing to back down even in their tired states
Off in the original battle the mortal god struggled to keep pace with his enemies as they increased their efforts in taking him down. While his power has skyrocketed beyond belief his stamina has reached its limits as Black found it increasingly more difficult to avoid the attacks coming his way. Currently he held both arms in front of his chest and face as Cell cracked down on the hard shell of his arms
Despite the armor being twice as tough to break all it took was an added spike in effort and power to break through. For a second the imposter's weapon flew back into the fray only for Vegeta to grab it from the air and hold tightly onto it. With little options remaining Black was susceptible to the flying foot that crashed into his face, launching him downwards
Following him was yet another barrage of basic ki blasts, forcing him to raise his arms yet again. However a new figure appeared in the form of his ally, his immortal counterpart rushing to his aid as he used his purple energy blade to slice apart the attacks. But to his surprise at the end of the string came a zooming pink and red figure chasing after him with two blades of the same caliber. Reacting quickly Zamasu blocked the downward swing of both swords with his own, only to be hit by a fist to his exposed gut
Future Gohan floated alongside Android 21 with his hand firmly planted within Zamasu. Just as quickly was Future Trunks who grabbed Zamasu by the base of the skull and threw him with full force at his own comrade, forcing both to stumble by the impact of the move
Recovering from the attacks both the immortal and mortal gods positioned themselves back-to-back to defend from the incoming onslaught of attacks. The first to be attacked was Zamasu who caught the flying scythe at the cost of receiving a blow to the chest from Vegeta. The Kai relinquished the weapon in favor of blocking the new attack from the zooming Goku
Simultaneously Cell attacked Black with all his might. Rushing forward he launched a flying fist at the God's face but missed as he sidestepped the attack. Quickly he regained his momentum by turning in place and swinging his leg in a backwards kick. However Black read the movement and used his arm to block the attack, taking the opportunity to recall his glowing weapon back to his hand and swing it once more to decapitate his enemy
Yet the unusually slow movement allowed Cell to flip in place, avoiding the attack and returning it with another kick to the chin, landing and crushing his enemy's jaw. Rather than being flung to the wayside for the nth time Black instead teleported using Instant Transmission behind Cell, preparing himself for the surprise attack. But without realizing it his weapon was caught by a pink hand
At the end of the blade Android 21 held onto the weapon with one hand and used the other to stab Black's closest hand, allowing her to yank the weapon out of his grip in one motion. Still stunned by the countermeasure 21 turned in place, repositioning herself to jam the sharp end of the shining scythe and slash him across the chest, ending it all by spin kicking him straight back to his ally's back
Zamasu, who'd been struggling to keep pace with two godly Saiyans, stumbled forward for a moment giving the Saiyans enough of an opportunity to take the lead fully. Now receiving a barrage of strikes to the face Zamasu was helpless as he was eventually flung to the ground along with his compatriot. Vulnerable the two were forced to withstand the armada of Ki attacks that rained from above to devastate the lands below. When all was said and done the two were left panting as they struggled to recover their wounds, Cell Black more so than Zamasu after losing hold of his Rosé form
"My energy is leaving me." He informed his ally as the cut to his hand failed to seal itself. "It won't be long before they get the best of me and ruin our plans."
"These mortals are far more pesky than I realize, able to beat the likes of your new body. Just how much were they able to train whilst Cell distracted us?" Zamasu wondered to himself, furious to have been brought to such a new low
Although Cell Black had the potential of escaping and becoming much stronger they were currently incapable of doing so safely, at least not without enormous struggle. Of their limited options one stuck out to them...their trump card
"Then we'll have to enact our final plan now." Zamasu stated as he removed the Potara Earring from his left ear
Hurriedly he placed it on his opposite ear and soon the jewelry began to glow a bright green. Almost immediately the two Gods flew towards each other, ramming their chests together as they spun in place. Up above the Z-Fighters witnessed as a bright white light pierced through the dust and clouds, illuminating the ground and soon the sky in a pure light. Soon the light subsided almost completely, save for the construct of a tall figure
"Revere me mortals...for your true God has revealed himself!" The figure spoke with dramatic pauses as it rose to the sky, flying past the warriors of good and floating far above them
To their shock and horror the light slowly subsided, revealing itself to be the fusion of Zamasu and Cell Black. It wore the exact same outfit as the immortal Zamasu, replacing the light-blue cloth with a golden belt of cloth. The color scheme of the outfit changed too, now replacing the grey and the blue for a dark purple and the yellow accents with a shining gold. The new attire of the Kais was new full of luxurious, royal and audacious colors much like the God himself
"Give praise unto me! For I, Zamasu, shall cleanse this world with the divine power of the Gods!"
The very second his introduction passed a dark purple wave of Ki in the shape of an eagle formed just above him, lightning coursing through it like a bottled storm of electricity
"And as such may you lot be the first to be purified and sent straight to hell!" He declared as bolts of lighting shot straight towards the mortals below, striking the ground and creating large columns of light that erased anything they struck
Quickly the Z-Warriors scattered like ants in the rain, avoiding every bolt of lighting before they could become deadly pillars that only few of them could theoretically live. In the span of half a minute the group was scattered through the stage that was the open air, allowing the Fused Zamasu to enact his next form of attack
Dispersing the eagle of justice a pure white halo formed just behind his head to take it's place, and soon after several dark red orbs of Ki formed around him. With the snap of a finger the orbs began shooting sharp Ki attacks that went for every Z member in sight. Yet rather than quickly making their way to the Earth there were instead several portals of the same design Cell Black used in his own fight. For every blast that was evaded there was a portal to take in the attacks and another to spit them back at their intended targets, creating personal cages for every fighter around. Every Saiyan, Half-Saiyan, Human, Majin and Android was forced into a perpetual state of dodging the speeding bullets only for them to be shot back out at a different angle
However, the first of the group to break from their cage was Goku, who brute forced his way out by shooting down every ki bullet that trapped him and flying after the Fusion God with his leg swinging. Attempting to decapitate his opponent Goku launched a high kick, only for a hand to causally block the attack and a palm to shoot into his exposed gut, sending him shooting backwards. Yet the persistent Saiyan used Instant Transmission to appear behind the God with a glowing fist at the ready
"Dragon Fist!!" He yelled as he flew straight towards his enemy at full speed, throwing his fist forward to land his powerful attack
But to his surprise Zamasu barely flinched as he turned to face the Saiyan. Outstretching his right hand the God caught the Saiyan's fist, absorbing the full force and recoil of his attack as though it were nothing. Zamasu used his spare hand to punch Goku in the chest, suspending him in the air as the Fusion flanked him, throwing another Ki attack that sent him rocketing forwards
Following his ally's lead Vegeta broke away from the oppressive barrage of attacks and rushed in to attack the distracted Zamasu. Quickly he unleased a small barrage of attacks, starting by slamming his knee into the Fusion's chest, flipping in place to land a kick to the face and creating distance by floating backwards as he shot several Ki attacks to cover his tracks. And yet Fused Zamasu was able to absorb each attack with little struggle, teleporting behind Vegeta and palm striking his back. Gasping for air Vegeta was too stunned to avoid the hand from gripping the back of his head and sending a jolt of electricity through his body. A shock of pain coursed through the Prince's veins before he was tossed to the side
And yet again another fighter joined in the form of Android 21 who mimicked the desperate attempts at damaging the powerful opponent. Flying straight after the enemy 21 hacked and slashed but found no purchase as her every move was swatted away with ease. Eventually her skillful placement of strikes led her to stab the tip of a blade through the palm of Zamasu's hand, who held it to block his chest
"Hah!" She yelled as she poured all of her energy into the blade just like before in spite of the warnings from the soul inside of her. Soon the volatile energy blade gained enough power to slide through the Fusion's hand, piercing his chest as 21 unloaded all of her Ki into one large blast
The fallout of the red colored explosion left 21 to experience the full effects of her Kaio-Ken, her body tensing as her stamina and energy took a complete nosedive
"I thought I had more energy than this." She worried as she felt the hand she'd stabbed start to grip onto her
With the swing of an arm Zamasu threw Android 21 into one direction. Yet rather than follow up with a generic Ki attack he instead brandished his purple sword, holding it behind him as it struck a mysterious opponent
"Your tricks won't work on me Cell." He declared, pulling his arm forward to reveal the sneaking Cell, caught by the chest with the energy blade. Now left wide open Cell was forced to take the proceeding slashes of the blade that went through him like he was paper. And yet instead of including a finisher to his assault Zamasu instead only floated in place, holding his hand in a different direction
"I'd like to see you suffer through more personal means." He stated, firing his purple colored attack at the helpless and dazed Android 21
Reacting quickly Cell shot after the attack, overtaking the energy ball and swiping it with his arm, forcing it to explode early. Yet the moment he was forced to withstand the attack he felt a solid force drive itself deep into his stomach. For a moment he felt as though a part of his body dislodged itself painfully from within only to settle back in as the fist removed itself. And yet soon after he felt another strike land on his cheek with the drive and power to completely break his neck and another attack to drive him backwards
Luckily Cell regained his stability enough to stop himself from crashing into the helpless 21, who could only look onwards with a foggy mind and a tired body
"She's completely exposed out here." He realized as his body healed enough for him to face yet another assault of Ki attacks
Standing just in front of his friend and ally he was forced to stand guard. Explosion after agonizing explosion passed without an end in sight, blowing away chunks of Cell's body just as fast as they healed. Even with the enhanced power his black form held he was torn apart by the basic blasts, struggling not to be blown away and leaving Android 21 to be the target
A full minute passed before the firing ceased, allowing Cell a moment to breathe before a blade of burning hot Ki jammed itself through his chest, searing the wound enough to cauterize it. As the dust settled the Fused Zamasu remained floating in place, staring into his eyes with a look of pure pity, much unlike the hatred and contempt he would see from his separate counterparts
"Those who go against a God must be punished in full."
Rather than continue the attacks any further Zamasu simply disengaged the energy blade and floated away, almost ignoring Cell as he fell out of his black form out of fatigue. The confusing actions of the false God left Cell wondering just what had happened
However, upon hearing a wet cough from behind Cell turned around in horror to see Android 21 with a hole in her chest. Red blood ran from her mouth as she stared back at Cell with a look of fear
At least that was until she fell from the sky

Even still now that I've finished all the story boarding for Good In Evil and outlined the next chapter's fight it shouldn't be that long before the final battle is concluded (At least not 1-2 months anyway).
