Naruto Uzumaki, known around the Konoha adults as the 'Demon' or 'Demon-brat'. Yes, he houses the Kyuubi, but that is a very stupid reason to hate a child. The Hokage didn't really make things better, as soon as he was five he'd been given a rundown apartment in the Red Light District and given a monthly stipend. He was given the money at the beginning of the month when the Hokage came to visit him, it was $1,000 and to be used to buy all of his needs and his apartment. This would have been good, if not for the villagers' hatred of him, they either didn't allow him entry to the shops, or overpriced their goods for him. He had to learn how to count and do the math for his finances, which was rather hard as he had to teach himself. This was also the age he had been enrolled in the Academy to become a ninja for the village. He was initially excited, but that soon lessened as he learned that his instructors also hated him.

When he turned six, the Academy taught them the henge. He practiced until it was perfect and he could do it, holding it unconsciously. He had a lot of chakra, so he could hold the henge for a really long time. He decided that he would use the henge to get everything he needed when he saw a pretty lady get a discount at a store he had shopped in the other day. He henged into a slightly short girl, with brown hair cut at her shoulders, and a modest figure. He wore a pale blue plain looking kimono, and wooden sandals. He called himself Himiko, and started to go shopping as her. The first time he did so he noticed a very big difference. He walked around and nobody batted an eye, or even glared at him. He walked into a store to buy some ramen cups, and a few fruits. He had the money he set aside, knowing the prices they usually gave him by heart, and when he had gone to check out, the price was very different. Confused, he turned to the shopkeeper, and using henge, he changed his vocal chords to that of a girls, he asked. "Sir, I thought these items would be higher priced, I just." He accidentally stuttered, not used to talking like this, "I saw a little blonde boy buy stuff here the other day and noticed how much he had paid?" He eventually got out, he had to wrack his brain for the right words, having a limited vocabulary at being six and all, he had decided to copy what he had heard others say. The shopkeeper, an older man who was balding, looked up at her. "That kid is trouble, the prices are lower for people. He's not a person." The man practically spits this out, shaking his head and focusing on her again. "You aren't from around here are you? That, that thing, is nothing but trouble, I advise you to stay away from it." The man finished. He looked like he had just imparted to her the greatest wisdom and not just told Naruto he wasn't even seen as a person.

This was when Naruto decided he would use Himiko to walk around and buy things, and he would go as Naruto sometimes, so people wouldn't forget him.

He had made Himiko look a bit younger, maybe ten, and changed her eyes from gray to brown, and called himself Hikari, claiming to be Himiko's little sister who she takes care of, and going to the library to learn. The librarian helps him when he is Hikari, teaching him how to read and write better, than when he is Naruto and she makes him leave. So he has taken to using Hikari to go to the library and learn, which also helps him in the Academy. He was already self-taught in most basics, and better at math than others thanks to doing his own finances, that he got even better, and learned how to save up his leftover money, and learning how to invest in stocks to gain passive income. He had decided to run numbers and do some math to decide what to invest in and when, and he kept a notebook of what he had invested, where he had invested, and what he was making from that investment. His money started to multiply and he had to get a small weekend job as Himiko so he could open a bank account, seperate from his personal account, for his investment income, so the bank would stop taking his money.

So as Himiko he got a job at a bookstore on the weekends, and he used that money to buy some books that interested him. Unknowingly to him, this would all be the catalyst that would shape his future. This was just the beginning, and he would no longer be heading in the direction of the number one hyperactive ninja.
