I originally wanted to just have this on my profile, but it's not updating properly... Sooo, Voila!

This is my first KakaSaku story. I originally posted this a while back. To be honest, it was quite some time ago, but I scrapped it recently to start fresh. Hopefully, those who read the previous version can see the difference. For those who are new, welcome! There will be anywhere between 40-60 chapters in total, so it will be a while before the end of the story is reached. Ultimately, I love fics of epic proportions, so I couldn't help myself from writing one as well. There will be an occasional jump in time... I'll be sure to let you know when that occurs, but ultimately it will jump back and forth until we've reached Sasuke's and Sakura's engagement party, and then things will stay set in the present. Also, this will mostly be canon, I've found myself wanting something that doesn't diverge too much from the original story but is still unequivocally intoxicating. Some things will be different though. For example, Tsunade will be Hokage for longer than she was canon-wise and Jiraiya is still alive. (I think it's safe to say that all of us can appreciate the pervy sage still being around. Since he's not dead, there will be additional Icha-Icha stories, such as the one Kakashi is reading during the first chapter- I've dubbed it as Icha-Icha: Impromptu). Another slight change will be Sakura's age, rather than being 15-17, like in Shippuden, she'll be 17-19. Rather than simply upping her age, the age difference can be explained by there being a 4-year gap between Naruto and Shippuden, rather than a 2&1/2-year gap. I feel that doing this creates more of a stress-free environment if that makes sense .''
There will be some other changes as well but they may go unnoticed. Simply because there are parts of the Naruto universe that have never really been divulged or further explored. (In other words, I'll be taking some free liberties). I will also make a point to develop Sakura into a character that represents her in a different light. I honestly have a hard time dealing with her ending development... She could have been so much more than she was made to be, and I hope to fix that.
I'm a bit torn between a particular divergence that I'm considering exploring, so if there's someone who wishes to converse with me about this particular concept of mine... shoot me a message! (It deals with Kakashi's mother).
Also, Sarada will come to be eventually. My mind has this set before she comes into the picture... So, there will be some Sasuke/Sakura moments that will primarily be closure. Romantic relationships are never perfect and sometimes, when two people come together, it's simply not meant to be. With that being said, the miracle and gift of bringing a child into the universe should never be erased. So yeah, Sarada will come to be, but not in the way that some of you might be thinking... You'll have to wait to know how ;)
In Boruto, we come to find a rather depressed and lonely Sakura... This story is ultimately my way of changing her fate as well as Sasuke's and Kakashi's.
This fic is, perhaps, more of a slow burn that, in a sense, also involves cheating... Though, at the same time not really... (if anyone has questions about this particular aspect, please ask!) There will also be plenty of fluff moments and cheese because some of the cheesy parts of Shippuden are my favorites!

Also, I've noticed that I tend to lose people during the first chapter, If you have any thoughts as to why, let me know and I'll change it up a bit. It is meant to be light-hearted, awkward, and cheesy, but the rest of the chapters are more serious.
