The beginning of Jenna's new story! I love the alien rangers! Especially Delphine, totally a girlboss! Anyway, continue on and enjoy the story.
--
Jenna was still staring, disapprovingly, at the young Rangers. They were older than her still, but they seemed to have given up.
And that really wasn't fair. She had just become a Ranger, and now it seemed she wasn't going to be able to morph or anything.
Not that she had tried yet, the Rangers hadn't really acknowledged her, and she couldn't really just morph in front of all these people.
Not to mention, while everyone else had de-aged - including Theo and Lily - Jenna was left in her 5-year old state.
"Uh, oh, I think we're in big trouble here," Tommy said.
"Yeah, Tommy. No powers and we're kids again," Adam pointed out.
"I might still have my powers," Jenna muttered, not bothering to be loud, thinking that they wouldn't listen to her anyway.
"We've gotta contact Zordon," Billy decided.
"Zordon, come in," Tommy spoke into his communicator. "This is Tommy." But no one responded.
"What's happening?" Aisha asked, worriedly.
"I was afraid of this. Our communicators are dead," Billy turned to Jenna, whom he expected was the only one who understood. "They're designed to work in conjunction with our powers, which no longer exist."
"Not only that, but the orb didn't just regress your ages, the world completely went back in time, except we weren't as extremely affected," Jenna explained.
"What are we gonna do?" Kat asked. Jenna was going to comment something, but the ground started shaking. The shaking was too forceful to just have been another earthquake. The group stumbled and went over and held onto a random white car so they wouldn't fall over.
"Hey, what's going on?" Adam asked, confused.
"I think I might have an idea," Jenna spoke quietly, but the others still heard. They looked up in the direction she was staring, a slight hint of fear.
They saw Lord Zedd, getting closer to the city in his giant form.
"Careful," Tommy advised.
"Man!" Rocky said, upset.
"This is serious," Tommy said. Jenna almost lost her footing, but she grabbed onto Rocky's arm, trying not to fall. He pulled her in closer to the car, trying to steady her.
"Hang on, guys," Billy warned.
"Not as easy as you're making it sound, Billy," Jenna frowned, feeling dizzy.
--
The Rangers were all looking up as more people ran off scared, and then a police woman showed up with a megaphone.
"Clear the area!" The police officer shouted. "Return to your homes! The city of Angel Grove is now under mandatory curfew! I repeat, clear the area!"
"Look!" Kat cried, pointing at Rita, who had blown up a group of buildings.
"The abandoned warehouses!" Aisha exclaimed.
"That's convenient," Jenna muttered.
"It's only a matter of time before they hit the heart of Angel Grove." Billy realized, which made Jenna worry.
"We can't contact Zordon, so we're gonna have to get to the Command Center on foot." Tommy decided.
"Let's do it," Kat nodded.
"Just make sure everyone sticks together," Adam reminded them.
"Alright, let's go," Tommy said, and he began to lead them away.
"Aw man, I already miss teleporting," Jenna pouted, but Adam grabbed her little hand to lead her along with them. They ran off, moving past people who were screaming and trying to get away.
--
The Rangers were walking into an alley, and Jenna was dragging her feet, sulking about having to walk such a long distance.
"Are you sure this is the right way, Billy?" Adam asked, he had stopped holding Jenna's hand, and now it was Rocky who pulled her along.
"I hope so," Billy sighed. "It's hard to remember so many years back. Everything looks so different." He said, as he looked around, slightly confused.
Then Bulk and Skull came running down the opposite side of the alley.
"Oh, no, you guys," Kat frowned, pointing at them. "Look, it's Bulk and Skull."
Bulk and Skull quickly ran up to the group, after spotting them.
"Oh, great," Rocky groaned and he let go of Jenna who stopped sulking so she could grimace at Bulk and Skull.
"Hey, Bulk. Hey, Skull," Billy sighed tiredly, as Bulk and Skull stopped in front of them.
"Well, if it isn't little Billy and the geekazoids," Bulk laughed.
"Yeah, what's this?" Skull wondered. "The chess club?"
"Come on, Skull, you remember us," Rocky tried reminding Skull.
"Why should we know you?" Bulk asked, confused. "We don't hang out with dweebs or little babies." Jenna frowned as she realized he was talking about her.
"Rude," She muttered to Rocky, who just shook his head and patted her on the head.
"They don't remember us," Aisha realized. "We didn't live here back then."
"And I was both not in this town and an infant," Jenna reminded them.
"Then why do we remember?" Rocky asked, trying to move past Jenna's words, which slightly confused him.
"Our minds have retained everything from the point of the Earth's reversal," Billy realized. "I believe it's due to the Power Coins."
"Not like there's any other thing that could cause it," Jenna shrugged. "Anyway, is that why I'm still as old as I was? Because my coin is different so I remember everything and wasn't affected."
"Power Coins?" Skull asked. "What's that? Some stupid club or something?"
"Yeah, you have to be weird to join," Bulk joked, making Skull laugh and Jenna roll her eyes.
"Come on, guys," Tommy said. "Let's go." Jenna trudged along with the Rangers as they kept walking. Even while they were younger her height was a big difference from the others and her legs were a lot shorter. She would have to be faster to catch up with them.
"Hey, wait a minute. Where do you nerds think you're going?" Bulk asked as he and Skull followed while Skull laughed.
Then out of nowhere Rito and a group of Tengas appeared.
"Ugh, can't you just leave us alone for like 5 minutes?" Jenna whined
"Alright, end of the line!" Rito declared, making the others freak out.
"Rito!" Tommy exclaimed, eyes wide.
"Hand over those Power Coins, you little brats!" Rito demanded, making Bulk and Skull stare at him, scared out of their minds.
"M-monster!" Bulk shouted, terrified.
"Run!" Adam yelled. Jenna hesitated for a moment before running with them. Bulk and Skull stayed frozen with fear, unable to move.
"What are you looking at?" Rito mocked.
"Wait for us!" Skull said as he and Bulk turned and followed after the Rangers.
--
Jenna was grinning as she stood up on a fire escape with Adam and Aisha, having decided that they were a little easier to keep up with.
"Hey, Tengas, up here!" Adam called and the group of Tengas looked up at them, and that's when Aisha and Adam let a rope go that was holding a metal beam. The metal beam on a rope went swinging and hit a Tenga that was covering its eyes.
The Tenga held onto the beam while it swung back and forth, knocking into the two other Tengas.
"We may not be able to morph, but we can still ruffle some tailfeathers," Adam shook his head and Jenna giggled.
"Yeah," Aisha agreed.
Jenna watched as one of the Tengas that wasn't on the beam jumped and flew in the air.
"I think it's cool when they fly," Jenna nodded, seriously.
"Give me those Power Coins!" The Tenga squawked.
"Ooh this one talks," Jenna commented, brightly, looking at Adam and Aisha who shook their heads. Aisha picked up a flower pot from behind them.
"Got something for you," Aisha said, handing it to the Tenga.
The Tenga grabbed it, before realizing it needed its arms to fly. It froze and then went falling through the air until it crashed into the Tenga still clutching the metal beam. They both fell and collided with a pile of boxes.
"Yes, oh, man," Adam was grinning, while Aisha and Jenna were laughing.
--
Adam, Jenna and Aisha ran and met up with Rocky and Billy.
"Where's Tommy and Kat?" Adam asked, as they all caught their breath. Jenna was keeled over, taking deep breaths. Before this, the most running she did was tag, and that was easy because Theo didn't like physical activity and Lily was slow.
"And Bulk and Skull?" Billy asked, looking around and seeing they weren't there.
"Thought they were with you?" Jenna questioned, standing up straight.
Bulk and Skull then popped up from behind a nearby parked car.
"Come on, guys." Aisha rolled her eyes, and Jenna sighed, shaking her head.
They both then moved from behind the car.
"Where are they? Did we lose them?" Bulk asked.
Jenna heard the sound of someone falling over and turned towards it, seeing Rito and the Tengas.
"Monster!" Bulk screamed, and all the kids ran over to hide behind the car.
Jenna gasped when the sound of police sirens came closer, and a police car drove into the alley.
"Huh?" Bulk asked, before standing up. "The police! Alright." He and Skull stood and ran over to them.
"Wait no!" Rocky called after them as he and Billy tried to stop them.
"Help!" Bulk cried, as he and Skull ran towards the police car.
"He's gone," Billy whispered, talking about how Rito had left.
"Well, where'd he go?" Rocky questioned.
"Don't ask, just be grateful we're done with that for now," Jenna whispered back.
The five began to stand up slowly.
"What's going on?" Tommy asked, and Jenna turned to where he and Kat were coming around the corner
"Stay there," Billy told them, holding his hand up to stop them.
"You, behind the car!" A police officer called. "Come on out now!"
Jenna bit her lip, and held onto Adam's hand as they slowly walked out to join the police officers.
--
Jenna rolled her eyes, as when they walked up to the police car, Bulk and Skull were settled in the back seat.
"Okay, kids, what's the story?" The female police officer asked, sighing.
Jenna inched a little closer to Adam when the officers got out of the car.
"It's dangerous to be out after curfew you know," The woman told them, seriously.
"We're sorry, officers," Billy apologized. "We were just looking for some friends."
"Come on, get in the car," The man instructed them. "I don't know what's going on, but you sure scared those two."
Jenna was ready to just get in the cop car, as there was no way around it, but as soon as she realized the other Rangers weren't moving, she knew exactly what was about to happen.
"We've gotta tell them," Rocky whispered, leaning more towards Aisha.
"No, no no," Jenna muttered under her breath, shaking her head.
"Rocky's right," Aisha told them, crossing her arms. "You're making a big mistake."
Jenna sighed as she saw the officers share a look, because she had been looked at like that before.
"I know you've never heard of us but we're the Power Rangers, and without us the Earth is in great danger," Billy explained and Jenna slapped her hand to her forehead.
"Power Rangers?" The woman asked, sounding very mockish. "Never heard of them. Get in the car!"
"Come on, move down!" The man directed Bulk and Skull.
"We'll take you down to the station," the man explained. "Your parents can pick you up there."
Jenna was forced to let go of Adam's hand as the police officers wanted her to sit in the front.
"You both ride in the front, little girls," The woman said and Jenna sighed letting Aisha go in and then going in after her.
She frowned and sort of tucked into herself as they drove off.
--
Once they were in the Police Station, Jenna leaned into the wall and licked her ice cream cone. She and Rocky looked almost identical, as they were both slouched with their little police hats over their eyes. Jenna sat in between Billy and Adam, very bored.
"I hate this," Aisha spoke up, taking her hat off. "They treat us like we're little kids."
"I've got news for you, Aisha," Rocky responded, lifting his hat. "We are kids."
Aisha rolled her eyes then pulled his hat down again in annoyance.
"At least we got ice cream," Jenna shrugged, sluggishly. "Last time I was here I only got the hat."
"Wait, you've been in the police station before?" Adam asked her. Jenna lifted her hat a little, and realized the other three were looking at her curiously.
"Yeah, my mom is super busy with work, so before Katherine was my babysitter she used to forget me at the park, supermarkets, etc," Jenna shrugged, and missed the confused looks the other Rangers shared. "She'd always remember within half an hour, call the police, and once they found me exactly where I was where she left me, they'd hold me here until she picked me up." She sat back and let her hat fall down again.
--
A few minutes later, Jenna had the hat over her face and she was slouched on the seat, napping. She had finished her ice cream and gotten bored, and had eventually started to sleep out of boredom. Adam had patted the hat a couple of times to see if she was awake, and she didn't move a muscle.
Billy sighed, really bored, and he stood and walked over to the counter where a police officer stood.
Adam stood, careful not to nudge Jenna, and sat on her other side where he looked to Aisha with a confused look.
Jenna woke up to Adam tapping her leg, quickly.
"What happened?" She asked, he pointed to where Kat was dressed in a large black trench coat, sunglasses and a hat. She was wobbling around and it was clear that Tommy was holding her up from underneath the trench coat. "Am I still sleeping?" She asked, bewildered.
"Billy!" Kat said, announcing her presence.
All of the young Rangers gawked at her, shocked.
"My baby, are you okay?" Kat asked, as Tommy pulled her around and she tilted a bit.
"Uh, sure… mom," Billy answered, still confused.
"Where are my glasses?" The officer wondered, looking around blindly.
Billy took his hat off and placed it on top of the officer's glasses.
"I can't see a darn thing without them," The officer groaned, searching for them.
"I'm in a hurry, sir," Kat said, petting Billy's head as he helped her stabilize herself. "I need to get these kids home."
"So you're his mother?" The officer asked.
"Yes. Yes. Oh, yes! I am," Kat responded, the rest of the kids jumped up and ran over, holding on to her and the trench coat so that she didn't fall over.
"Mom's here," Kat assured, as everyone helped her turn around. "Come on kids, let's get outta here."
"Wait!" The officer stopped them, getting them all to turn around. Jenna bit her lip, worried.
"Huh, yeah?" Kat asked, spinning around oddly.
"Sign these papers please?" The officer asked, holding a couple up.
"Oh, okay," Kat said, and all of the kids were gripping the trench coat as they shuffled over to the desk.
Jenna sighed as when Kat grabbed the pen, all she did was swirl it around a bit on the paper.
"Come on, kids," Kat said, turning to the others. "Thank you, officer."
They all slowly walked out, careful not to knock Kat over.
"Hey Mom, what took you so long?" Billy asked as they guided her out.
--
Jenna was back to grumbling as they walked, but that was only because she had been forced to walk in between the group after she had almost gotten knocked down by the wind.
She couldn't help it if she was small.
Her hands were gripping onto the cop hat she still had on her head, she didn't know why she kept it, but at least it blocked her face from the sun. And everything else, she couldn't see anything with it on.
"Man, it's a lot further when you can't teleport," Tommy pointed out.
"I'll say," Rocky agreed. "It feels like we've been walking for hours."
"We have," Aisha deadpanned.
Then the wind got harder and sand started flying everywhere.
"I can't see where I'm going!" Billy shouted, covering his face.
"Ah! I'm getting sand in my eyes!" Kat cried. Jenna just pulled the hat further down her head and began to blindly walk forward, hoping for the best.
"I can't see anything!" Adam said, as Rocky put his arms in front of his face.
But they all kept walking, having no other choice, and Jenna only knew she was about to bump into somebody after she had already bumped into them.
--
Raelynn bit her lip, watching worriedly as Alpha frantically tried to get the power back on.
"AY-Yi-Yi-Yi-Yi! I don't know what else to do," Alpha admitted. "Our power banks are still out."
"We may need to approach this differently, Alpha," Zordon explained. "We have also gone back in time. If we can only recall what we're involved in at this point in the past."
"Unfortunately, all our diaries are logged in the main computer brain," Alpha sighed.
"Is there anything I can do?" Raelynn asked, wanting to help.
"Oh, I don't think so, Raelynn, I don't even know what the problem could possibly be," Alpha said, still checking the computers.
Raelynn was just going to walk towards the viewing globe, when she spotted a group of wires.
"Um, Alpha," Raelynn spoke up, albeit somewhat timidly. She still wasn't sure she had been completely forgiven after all she had done. "Is this something?"
"Huh?" Alpha turned to her. "Oh, Ay-yi-yi! I must be losing my microchips!"
He walked over to her by the wires and turned to Zordon.
"Now I remember," He explained. "We were spring cleaning, and we had to unplug the control panel to vacuum." Raelynn's jaw dropped, that was really all that had completely shut down the command center, was simply an unplugged wire?
"I don't believe this. All this time, our power outage has been due not to a sinister force, but to a simple household appliance," Zordon said, disbelief in his voice. "Is that true?"
"I'm afraid so, Zordon," Alpha replied. "Heh, heh."
Once Alpha plugged the computer back in, the viewing globe showed the young Rangers fighting their way through the sandstorm.
"AY-Yi-Yi, Zordon! The Rangers are in trouble!" Alpha exclaimed.
"Teleport them here at once," Zordon ordered.
"Oh, Zordon, locking on coordinates now," Alpha responded, pressing buttons on the consoles.
--
Jenna, who was still covering her face, was forced into a small huddle with the group.
But then they were all teleported away.
--
Raelynn waited patiently for the Rangers to return. She took a little step back when they appeared in a group huddle.
"Rangers," Alpha said, happily.
"Alpha," They all gasped, happily, and they rushed to give him a group hug.
"I am greatly relieved," Zordon told them.
"I'm glad you all are okay," Raelynn smiled, awkwardly, her voice quiet.
"You weren't affected either?" Jenna asked, walking up to her.
"Either?" Raelynn questioned. "Oh, shouldn't you be younger too?"
"Yeah," Jenna turned to Zordon. "Zordon, how come I wasn't affected?"
"I do not know Jenna, it is understandable that Raelynn, Alpha and myself went unaffected as we come from different planets," Zordon began. "But your coin shouldn't give you immunity from all of this."
"Odd," Jenna murmured, eyeing her coin.
"Zordon, can't you give us any powers to fight Lord Zedd?" Tommy asked, hopefully.
"That would be too dangerous, Tommy," Zordon replied. "If anything should happen to you, it would prevent any chance of returning the world to how it was before the reversal."
"He's right," Billy realized. "The future wouldn't be able to happen without us in it."
"Precisely, Billy," Zordon said.
"Then what are we gonna do?" Adam asked.
"What we need are more Power Rangers," Billy explained.
"Zordon, what about the Alien Rangers from the planet Aquitar?" Alpha suggested.
"What?" Aisha asked, shocked. "Alien Rangers?"
"I have thought of this, but these Rangers exist on a planet made up entirely of water," Zordon explained.
"They reside in a pod-like structure, but are dependent upon energy obtained from water to function," Alpha explained.
"Oh, I know them! My mom despises them," Raelynn was mostly talking to herself, but she noticed the group had turned to stare confusedly at her and she blushed.
"I am afraid the atmosphere on Earth would be inhospitable to them," Zordon worried. "They would be putting their lives at great risk."
"That's the only chance we have," Rocky argued.
"I think they're right, Zordon," Alpha agreed. "And besides, the Alien Rangers would want you to call on them."
"Besides, what would we do if the situation were reversed?" Tommy asked.
"Hey, remember Edenoi?" Rocky asked. "When Dex needed our help, we were there."
"What's Edenoi?" Raelynn questioned Jenna.
"No clue, I wasn't there," Jenna shrugged.
"You are correct, my young Rangers," Zordon relented. "Prepare a galactic alert transmission."
"Right, I'll focus the beam in the direction of Aquitar," Alpha explained, beginning to work on the computer.
"All systems are a go, Zordon," Alpha announced.
"Rangers of Aquitar, I, Zordon, call upon you," Zordon said. "The people of Earth are in great peril."
The Rangers and Raelynn all walked up to the viewing globe, where four men and one woman appeared. They all had strange looking head shapes, and Jenna tilted her head in curiosity.
"Wow, they're answering," Tommy pointed out.
"Ooh, I just knew that they would," Alpha said, excitedly.
