Prologue

The Merge

A thin veil separated the Earth of mankind and the Gerudo-ruled Hyrule, worlds that mirrored each other yet didn't. Since times long ago, the world of Gerudo has had a prophecy, one which eventually could lead to the ruin of all things. a prophecy foretelling an event known as the Merge. It was stated as such:

One day, the world of the Gerudo and that which lies behind the veil of reality itself shall become one in a great event known forevermore as the Merge. The Merge shall occur while there is a prince born among the Gerudo, beloved by his peers and with a following of women as great as the potential to his power. The prince shall lead his people through a new conflict, the Lost Power of Hyrule aiding him as well. All will be lost if the prince fails..

And for generations, whenever the next Gerudo voe prince would be born, the Elders would look to the rest of Hyrule, searching for changes that would signify the Merge had occurred. But none came..

Fast forward thousands of years to the current generation, where Queen Ganondora sits upon the throne with her son the voe prince Niklas set to take the throne upon his nineteenth birthday and with signs of the Merge possibly occurring despite the resounding peace Hyrule lives through. No one realized, however, that the Merge would happen without anyone actually realizing anything was even different with the world..

Hyrule, as the Merge Happens..

The Gerudo populace of the Crystal Oasis, the capital settlement of the Gerudo-ruled Hyrule were unaware of the changes in their world, their minds adjusting instantly as the Merge occurred, washing the world in a wave of change. Buildings became taller, the city expanded exponentially and many aspects of the high fantasy setting of Hyrule twisting into a somewhat more modern version of itself as carts and hirses were replaced by cars and bicycles on the mostly paved roads of the new version of the city.

Inside the palace, Queen Ganondora Dragmire hummed as she laid down to sleep for the night, her final thoughts on her son as they were most nights. Niklas was already sound asleep from a day full of helping the citizens of the Oasis, and he was only getting closer to his own time on the throne. If only he would stop being so oblivious to the obvious all around him..

The Next Morning, Post-Merge..

As the light from outside the palace illuminated the bedroom of the prince, the door opened as a figure entered the room, walking gracefully over to the side of the bed. As per the usual, the prince was fully covered by his comforter as the figure giggled, shaking their head as they pulled the cover from prince Niklas' face. Always so at peace when he sleeps. Thought Zelda, priestess of Crystal Oasis and prince Niklas' oldest friend. She also harbored a terrible crush for the voe.

Her face hovered over the prince's, the mischievous priestess contemplating whether or not to just finally kiss him awake, like some old fairy tale of a vai in need rescued by the big, strong voe, just in reverse here. It was then Niklas's red eyes opened, wide in surprise as Zelda chickened out of her own thoughts, backing up instead with a coy smirk on her face. "Morning, my liege."

"Zelda? By the Heroines, why must you always do that?" Prince Niklas Dragmire asked, sitting up in the bed as he woke up fully, taking in Zelda's very.. risque attire.

It wasn't that he was unaccustomed to it, he'd seen her in such revealing clothing for years, but now the prince was having flashes of a life his, but not. Where the girl in front of him morphed into another, but he still saw Zelda no matter the visage. And unrequited feelings from this phantom life caused him to act out in a similar manner to Zelda's usual blushes and sudden shyness. It interested Zelda as to why that suddenly was. "A priestess must keep her king accounted for and in good health, mustn't she?"

"Yes, as it always has been. However, it still finds me occasionally uncomfortable seeing you so early, especially as the first thing I look at once I open my eyes." Niklas replied, climbing out of bed to then get ready for the day, going over to his closet area to pick out an outfit for the day.

"Oh? And you've never said anything about such uncomfortability with me before why?" Zelda asked, her voice teasing as Niklas felt his cheeks burning even hotter.

"Because as your best friend, I look past the fact I have an absolutely- stunningly- beautiful vai around me day and night. Wouldn't look the best to the rest of the Nation to see the prince so carelessly ogling the priestess, would it?" Another flash between Zelda and this other girl, Niklas realizing the importance of such a girl, as his behavior mirrored Zelda's as per the usual, where she would be the more eager to tease him into blushing.

Zelda beamed, giggling. "So I'm beautiful, then? High praise coming from you, my liege." Zelda turned her face to the side as she giggled again, gasping when she looked back to see Niklas standing in front of her, a mischievous smile on his lips. "N-Nik?!"

"You're a goddess in Gerudo form, Zee. Both figuratively and literally." It was common knowledge Zelda was the latest in a long line of women that inherited some of the Light Power that the Goddess Hylia was said to once possess before reincarnating herself as a Hylian at the time, the bloodline eventually filtering into the Gerudo Nation as most had. "And just as forbidden, some would say."

The compliments made Zelda blush, wondering what was truly going on, why Niklas was suddenly.. attentive to how she felt? Maybe? "Where is all this coming from, my king? This isnt normally like you." Not that Im really complaining. She thought, biting her lip.

"I've just.. Come to a revelation, is all." Niklas said, choosing his words carefully.

"And what revelation is that, hmm?" Zelda asked as there was a knock on the door, breaking the two out of whatever form of trance had enraptured the teenage Gerudo as they took a step away from each other, Zelda's hand splayed out on Niklas' chest with her fingers arched ever so slightly, as if to grab the cloth that now covered Nik's upper torso as his mother appeared in the doorway.

"Sav'otta, my little prince. Priestess Zelda. Another morning of staring at each other like lost lovers across the desert?" Commented Queen Ganondora with a warm smile. She was only teasing, after all. Zelda may as well have been Niklas' sister for the amount of time they were around one another.

"Mother.. What brings you to my room so early? I expected you to be with the Council of Races for another hour or so." The Council of Races was a mutil-cultural gathering between the Gerudo, Hylians, Gorons, Rito and Zora- as the Koroks did not meddle in worldly affairs outside of their forest- and was currently in the Crystal Oasis for their bi-monthly meeting to discuss happenings in the Kingdom, not that there had ever been much more than a small riot here and there for as long as Niklas could remember, or knew about from the Gerudo Nation's history.

"Yes, well. It seems the Rito councilwoman is having some issues at the moment, so the meeting has been postponed for later today. Now, do you two intend to stay here and continue.. whatver this is you two constantly get up to?" She asked, again teasing as she knew of the feelings her son had for the beautiful vai feet away from him as well as those Zelda indeed shared for the prince. Ganondora had been trying to play matchmaker with the two teens for several years now. "And being romantically involved with the royal priestess is hardly a taboo here, kids."

"Mom! Just.. stop. If that's all, I'll report to the captain in just a few minutes." Niklas said, making Ganondora laugh.

"You are just too easy to tease, my prince. Isn't that right, Zelda?" Zelda, for her credit, was able to stay quiet despite the intense darkening of her cheeks as she nodded, her jade green eyes locking with Niklas' own red irises.

Ganondora clapped her hands. "Well, I shall take my leave. Don't stay so glued to each other for long, hmm? You both still have your duties to the Nation to perform."

Niklas nodded, Zelda following suit. "Yes, mother, understood." With a curt nod, Ganondora left the room and the two teenagers exhaled breaths they hadn't realized were being held in. "I'm sorry mother always seems so.. pushy."

Zelda giggled. "Don't apologize, Niklas. The Queen just wants what's best for you, however why she thinks I may in fact factor into that so heavily is beyond even my abilities to foresee as priestess."

"Yes, yes, of course. I must get going ro meet up with the captain, then. Will you be alright?"

Zelda smiled widely. "I'll be just fine, my lo- liege. Go make sure your skills with a sword haven't dulled any in the last day."

"I'm pretty sure you know just how skilled I truly am, always watching me from the training grounds balcony."

Zelda bit her lip again, her eyes telling Niklas she was just dying to tell him something. But what? "A priestess is allowed to watch her champion test his mettle against our elders. Unless you would rather me not look in on you.."

"No, Zee, don't do that." Niklas said, his hand running down Zelda's arm which sent shivers down the vai's spine. "I never mind you watching me train. Just don't get in trouble for it, like you're prone to."

Zelda pouted playfully. "Only if they catch me. Later, Niklas." She giggled one last time before turning away to leave the room.

No, things change today.. Niklas thought before he cleared his throat. "Wait, Zelda, one more thing." He said, taking a step towards the mostly blonde-haired vai. And just as Zelda motioned to turn back around as Niklas took his step forward, their lips met and everything around them melted into nothingness.

Despite the inital shock at the intimate contact, Zelda wasn't backing down as she fully closed the distance between them, Niklas' hands gripping at her waist as Zelda's hands caressed Niklas' face and ran through his long blonde-red hair as the teenage Gerudo lost themselves in the kiss for several long moments. When Nick finally pulled his face away, Zelda looked at him pleadingly, her breathing slightly labored from the kiss. "What was that, my prince?"

Niklas smiled, tucking a stray strand of hair behind Zelda's ear. "Something I hope isn't a one-time thing." He said in a hushed tone, leaning towards her ear now. "Now go before mother decides to pop back up."

Zelda nodded, her body fighting her to even let go of Niklas before she turned away. "You're different today, Nik. I like it." With one last melodic giggle, Zelda left the room, her heart still hammering away in her chest from the sudden, wanted contact.

Shortly, Training Grounds..

Niklas grunted as his scimitar clashed with that of the captain of the Gerudo Nation army, Nabooru as her own spear landed in the ground, blade buried as Nik placed his foot on the pole of the weapon. "I have all but surpassed you, auntie. Can't we just cut it short here?" Asked the prince, his eyes looking up at the balcony high above where Zelda stood, watching him as per usual.

Nabooru followed the prince's gaze and giggled once she saw what had Niklas' attention. "Ah, another one of those days, yes? Fine, move along, your highness. Wouldn't want to keep your precious priestess waiting, would you?" Nabooru crossed her arms with a motherly smirk.

"Come now, captain. That's not exactly how it is." What is it, then, if not love kept waiting? Niklas asked himself, wondering what exactly kissing Zelda changed between the two of them, whether it was apparent or not.

"Be that as it may, be mindful of your actions, young one. The priestess is your most important ally among the Nation and it would bring bad fortune to see you two distanced from each other."

"Yeah.. Nabooru? Have you ever.. known of anyone glimpsing something that seems like reality but couldn't possibly be?"

Nabooru frowned at Niklas. "Like what, my prince? Are you having prophetic dreams, now? Too much time spent around young Zelda?"

Niklas shook his head with a laugh. "No, I dont think so. I mean like.. hmm. When I awoke this morning, I saw Zelda as per the usual routine we've kept up with since we were children. But, today was different. Zelda seemed to flash between forms, although I could identify both visages I saw as Zelda and no one else. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever encountered such a thing."

Nabooru shook her head. "No, I cannot say anyone has had such an experience. Best not to worry about it right now and go get a move on in your other duties, my liege."

"Yeah, you're probably right. Later, auntie." Nik said before he left the training grounds, stopping for a moment at the door and looking up towards Zelda again, where the priestess now stood with another friend of theirs in their generation, Trixi. The prince had to shake his head as Zelda flashed back to that other version of her, with Trixi also flashing into another girl, again with Niklas knowing that both girls were one and the same. The two vai looked at Nik, breaking out into twin fits of giggles as Niklas shook his head again and left the training grounds for the day.

Balcony, Shortly Before..

What was that earlier? All of a sudden, Nik is kissing me like I've been wanting to do to him for Heroines know how long and now, something has changed.. But what? Zelda thought to herself as she watched Niklas and Captain Nabooru train She became aware of footsteps approaching her, looking over to see her and Nik's friend Trixi, flipping her blue undertoned pink hair as she smiled at the young priestess. "Sav'otta, Zelda. How's our prince this morning?"

Zelda sighed, still somewhat off in her own world. "Niklas is fine, Trixi. At least, far as I can tell.."

Trixi looked at Zelda for a moment, her face morphing into a surprisingly shocked expression. "No way! By the Heroines, you finally kissed him, didn't you?"

Zelda blushed while shaking her head, making sure Niklas wasn't looking up at them. "N-no, actually, uh.. Nik kissed me."

Another gasp, followed by a groaning pout from Trixi. "You bitch! I thought he wasn't for going against tradition like that?"

"Not gonna lie, I hate that Niklas is allowed to have any vai out there except technically me by traditional standards. I've crushed on him for so long knowing he's the literal forbidden fruit, but I can't help it. It's unfair.."

"Yeah, it is, but doesn't him kissing you at least tell you there's something there? Niklas isn't the type to beat around the bush, let alone just kiss someone without meaning it. I suggest you talk to the Queen about it. I mean, if anyone can change the rules for anything, it's her until Nik takes the throne in two years."

"Yeah, I guess you're right.. Aren't you mad, though? I mean, I know how you and so many others in town are all wanting to be on top of him, too." Zelda asked her, her tone slightly sour.

"Oh, Zee. Again, Nik kissed you, that means something. No need to get sour on me, little miss priestess. Oh, he's looking."

Zelda and Trixi looked down to see Niklas, shaking his head as the two vai giggled before separating again. Zelda had her own places to be at the moment.

Queen's Chambers..

"Mother? Are you here?" Niklas asked as he stepped into his mother's chambers.

Ganondora looked over at him from where she sat at a desk, an old book laid open in front of her. "Niklas? Another esrly defeat of my captain this morning?" She asked, smiling.

Niklas nodded. "Yes, mother, but that's not why I'm here. What are you reading?" The prince asked as he approached, eyeing the script written on the yellowed pages. "That's a pretty archaic Gerudo script, must be pretty old." He observed.

"Indeed. This manuacript is one of the oldest in the Oasis' library, written some several thousand years ago, somewhere more than ten thousand to be precise. Scholars would have us believe it comes from before our Hyrule was truly established."

"And what do you think on the matter, mother?"

Ganondora hummed. "I cannot be too sure, but I would like to believe our ancestors had more in-depth knowledge of what the future may hold. Or possibly some missing insight that we in modern times may decipher. Now, what can I do for you, my love?"

"I, uh.. I needed to speak to you about something. A couple of things, really. First off, and I figured this would be less likely to upset you but I.. I kissed Zelda this morning."

The Queen's eyes widened as a grin soread across her face. "Ah, so its finally become too much for you both to hold in? I must say, Niklas it's about time. That vai thinks the world of you."

Nick nodded, chuckling shyly. "Yeah, I know that, mother. Its alwqys been the same for me. Zelda is.. she's always been something else."

"Indeed she has. Now, what else seems to be troubling you, my prince?"

Niklas gained a look of uncertainty, feeling Ganondora wouldnt believe him over what he was seeing all morning. "I've been.. having visions? Kind of?" His mother motioned for him to continue with a warm smile. "It started wuen Zelda woke me up this morning. When I looked at her, she changed into another vai, this one dressed in more Hylian clothes but still very different before flashing back to herself. But I could see that both were Zelda, no matter how different in appearance. Minites ago, it happened again with her and Trixi."

Seeing Zelda and their other little friend as different people but still themselves? Ganondora thought with widening eyes as she looked back at the pages of the book open on the desk. "Could it be? Niklas, draw for me a sketch of Zelda as well as this other version of her, please."

Niklas, while confused, took the pencil from his mother and leaned over the desk, beginning to sketch out his best friend as well as the vai he also identified as the young priestess. When he was finished a few minutes later, he slid the page in front of Ganondora, who gasped at the obvious similarities between Zelda and the other, Hylian-looking girl. "It's happened.." She looked at Niklas, her smile sad. "Of course it was you, my prince."

"Me? What about me?"

"Tell me, my love, do you remember your lessons on the ancient legends and prophecies of our Nation?"

Niklas nodded, unsure what that had to do with this. "Yeah, of course. One of my favorite subjects growing up."

"Indeed. Do you recall, then, the lesson on an event we only ever knew as the Merge?"

"The Merge? Yeah, vaguely. Something about there being another world that exists alongside ours that we can't see and how they would become one one day when a destiny-chosen voe prince would herald a change throughout all of Hyrule as the Merge occurred."

"Yes, that was the gist of the prophecy. However, there was one small detail we left out of the teachings, if only for my own fears you may indeed be the chosen prince."

"Like.. what kind of small detail?"

Ganondora waved the question off. "It is of no importance right now, I believe. Go about your day, Niklas, we will speak of this later. But please find Zelda and send her to me, Trixi as well if you can find her. It seems they may in fact be involved if my thinking is to be correct."

Frowning at not knowing the full story, Niklas nodded. "Of course, mother." He left without another word, planning to investigate the matter on his own as he went in search of Zelda.

Soon after, Trixi and Zelda stood inside the Queen's chambers, Zelda wondering what was going on and why Niklas had insisted on her meeting him at the historical archives after meeting with the Queen. "You sent for us, your highness?"Asked the teenage priestess.

Ganondora nodded. "Sorry to pull you both from your normal duties, but it was imperative I speak to you both. Firstly, congratulations, Zelda. It seems all these years pining for my son has now yielded some fruit." Zelda blushed under the mock scrutiny. "Worry not, little seer, it is of no consequence. However, things have come to light that may make things a bit.. harder for you in the future."

"Like what, Queen Ganondora?" Trixi asked.

"I'm getting there, Trixi. Patience. As priestess, Zelda, you have knowledge of everything mystical the Gerudo Nation has ever recorded, correct?"

"Yes, your Majesty. Every line of every prophecy and legend. What is this really about?"

"The Merge, Zelda. I believe it has finally occurred, with our handsome young prince at the center of it."

"What? What do you mean, my liege?" Is that why Nik has been so.. odd today? "What does Niklas have to do with this?"

"It seems he has gained a form of second sight," Zelda's eyes widened. "Nothing on the level of a priestess, mind you. He has told me that, upon looking at both of you today, he has seen other versions of you that he could still identify as, without a doubt, still being yourselves. I am under the impression that this is the signal for the prophecy of the Merge to have shifted our reality into one we know not of the difference but is in fact different than we have known before. Your presence here, both of you, is related to that prophecy."

Zelda thought about the prophecy itself, trying to figure out what Ganondora was getting at. It seemed the prophecy was already fulfilled, at least mostly as she gasped in remembrance of the last piece of the puzzle she felt was missing. "No! I refuse to allow it! Not now after years of waiting for a single action." Without another word, Zelda stomped out of the room as Trixi watched her, wide-eyed in shock at the sudden outburst.

Ganondora giggled. "Probably should have foreseen that reaction. I apologize, Trixi, Zelda knows she should carry herself a bit more maturely than that. Go and find her, she'll no doubt fill you in. This is something you both have to talk out before it gets bigger." With a quick nod, Trixi rushed out after her friend.

"Oh, my handsome little prince. Things are about to become very interesting for you." Ganondora giggled as she looked at the tome again, cursing herself for not seeing the signs earlier.

~WotG~WotG~

Trixi caught up to Zelda outside of the palace, walking down an alley as she called out for her. "Zee! What's wrong? What was that all about?"

Zelda stopped, groaning in frustration. "A harem, Trixi. This is about the harem the prophecy of the Merge told about, helmed by the foretold prince. Niklas is meant to be a harem master of a king. And it seems like you are most likely involved, if Niklas can see other versions of both of us but not everyone- in total- in the city. I'm not having it, Trixi."

Trixi frowned. "I understand where you're coming from, Zelda. I remember you gushing about how hot Nick was for years. And now that he's kissed you with the promise of more, you weren't expecting such an announcement like that of a now-forming harem. Would it be all bad, though? I mean, I'd think it a bit hot to watch him go to town on our fellow vai as well as us." Trixie twirled a lock of her hair around her finger, smiling suggestively.

"Trixi! Come on, don't put thoughts like that in my head! Heroines be damned, I've waited too long to just share Nik like I as well as any of us involved are anything but mere sexual playthings."

Trixi rolled her eyes. "Oh, stop it, Zee. Niklas wouldn't throw you to the side because of something like this, you know that. You two have been practically conjoined at the hip most of our lives, that sort of connection doesn't come around every day. To the jealousy of I as well as any other vai who decides to voice their interest in him, the prince will always choose his priestess first."

Zelda sighed. "But what if I can't handle that? Niklas is mine, maybe he always has been, and the idea of sharing him because of some stupid, fucked up, Heroine damned prophecy just makes my blood boil." In response to her emotions, Zelda's hands began to glow with the yellow-white light of her latent magical powers.

"It'll be alright, Zelda, calm down. I will make sure of that. For right now, don't worry about it. It seems like it's only the two of us as it stands right now, right? So take things slow, enjoy the time you get alone with him. Eventually, when this harem situation starts to grow outside of those confines, then we will figure it out from there. The prophecy was inevitable as all that came before it were, so now we have to make sure that this harem can form. On our terms." Zelda looked at her friend, who smiled sympathetically back. "I won't let him just ignore any of us involved, when the time comes."

Zelda sighed, nodding slowly. "You're right, Trix, I'm being irrational. Sometimes it seems life would be much easier without the added stress of emotions." The young priestess hung her head.

Trixi laughed. "Everyone's had that thought at one time or another, Zee. Now go find Niklas and talk to him about it, before you go making decisions that frankly aren't all yours to make."

"Yeah. Thanks, Trixi. It's good to have someone who can talk me down if Nik isn't around."

Shrugging, Trixi turned to get back to whatever it was she had planned. "That's what girlfriends are for, Zelda. I'll see you later, let me know how everything goes." She said, waving back at her friend as the priestess continued on her way to the historical archives to find Niklas.

Down in the dimly-lit underground level of the archives saw Niklas, scanning through texts as old as the Nation itself, looking for the answer as to what he knew he was missing as far as the entire prophecy situation was concerned. He hadn't found anything yet, but something told the prince he was close to figuring out the mystery as he jumped in fright at the sudden intrusion to his concentration. "There you are! Holy Hylia, Niklas, what are we doing down here? This place is so.. depressing." Zelda said as she appeared near the prince, leaning against a bookshelf nearby.

Niklas smiled at her. "I know, I remember how we used to hate coming down here when mother needed extra hands shuffling this junk around." He used one finger to flip a silver-inlaid bowl from the top of the pipe next to him to the one next to it, the bowl teetering for a moment before it settled back down. "Can you believe a lot of the ancient prophecies we were taught as children aren't even down here anymore? I've checked every single area where those documents and manuscripts would be kept."

Zelda hummed. "I don't know, Nik. Maybe the Queen had a reason to have them moved? Most Gerudo don't believe those old legends anymore, anyway."

"Maybe, but it seems suspicious, if that's the case. Think about it, this is where we were taught about the Merge: the big, world-changing event we were supposed to never know even occurred. The pedestal from that manuscript was right.. there.." Niklas inhaled deeply as he realized why the book his mother had in her room had seemed familiar. "That's what she was.. Fuck, fuck.. now it all makes sense.. Why I'm seeing.." Looking at Zelda, she flashed back to that Hylian (or he assumed to be Hylian) girl. "The fact I've been questioning why the city looks so Hylian today because I swear the roads were crude brick, not some strange and smooth surface, just yesterday.." He ranted on, looking around like a voe possessed.

Zelda bit her lip, partially in amusement at Nik having a mental breakdown for once, since it would usually be her prone to 'blowing up' like this. She was also a bit worried, as she needed him level-headed to tell him what he was both looking for and needed to hear. Gotta ensure my claim before this shit gets out of control. She thought resolutely as she stepped forward and managed to stop Niklas' panicking by holding the sides of his face, their eyes locked on nothing else but each other. "Calm down, my love," Oh, I actually said it! Zelda squealed internally. "I know what you don't, so please just stop," She kissed him briefly, just enough so he'd relax the tension in his body before pulling back. "And listen. Come, idiot, let's go talk about this somewhere a bit less dark, hmm?" She beamed at him, tilting her head slightly.

Niklas' mind was racing just with the fact Zelda had said the L word to him, let alone she knew what he didn't. And the kiss, even short.. Yeah, I'm alright now.. "Alright, Zee. Thank you."

"Always, Niklas. As the Queen said," Zelda turned around, hands clasped behind her back as she walked away. "What we have is hardly a taboo."

"Like it would matter," Niklas replied as he pushed off the table behind him to catch up. "I'm the prince. Worst case scenario, we wait until mother gives me the throne and then it wouldn't matter either way." He chuckled.

Zelda giggled and shook her head as the two exited the basement, relieved at the light now hitting their skin. "You're too much, Nik. Just.. don't shoot the messenger once you learn the rest of the story."

"How bad could it possibly be?" Niklas shrugged nonchalantly as they walked onto the open streets of the Crystal Oasis outskirts.

Zelda hummed. "Uh, well that would depend on how you rate it." Niklas stopped in his tracks, causing Zelda to sigh and turn to him. "Oh, come on, my love. I promise it's not the end of Hyrule. As much as I hate the idea, I won't deny that a voe could never say the result was a horrible thing." She giggled as Niklas nodded and followed after her, their destination yet unknown.

~Prologue End~

A/N: This took.. much less time than I figured when I set out to write it, lol. I know I'm working on like a hundred different things but I write what I write and honestly? I don't like advance writing before posting like that, you know? I like keeping people with my writing in real time as I finish chapter by chapter.

I chose a mix of Isekai elements (Niklas' visions) and the idea of a Gerudo-ruled Hyrule for this story mainly because I think a what-if timeline where the Gerudo are dominant in Hyrule is an idea that would make an interesting subversion of basically everything present in traditional Legend of Zelda. I'm gonna go a bit slow with this story for a bit as far as events, for the bad guy plot needs to be brought into play not to mention I have maybe.. four? ish? more vai to add into the plot and I have an idea about a father-son talk for the next chapter.. Yeah. This one's really going to be a ride.

Oh, and before I go yes Ganondora is Ganondorf but the point is that, and I'm sorry I didn't state it earlier, this Hyrule never had the Curse of Demise cast and I figure without the maliciousness usually associated, we have Ganondorf switching genders throughout the ages, this period just happened to be the vai Ganondorf's time to rule, and also Niklas' name does have a reason why he isn't just named Ganondorf like would be customary. Again, the next chapter. Bye!
