This is a short story about a rivalry of two brothers.

Jaden and Syrus were very late for class. They ran down the hall to make it on time.
"J, Crowler's gonna be really ticked if we're late." Syrus said.
"Don't worry, Sy, we'll make it." Jaden said before he and his best friend were bumped into someone.
They fell down the ground. They wondered who it was, but when they looked up, they saw Crowler, expect he doesn't have a ponytail, his outfit were black and red, complete with gold trimmings and ruffled pink collar, shoulders, upper chest, and sleeves.
"Dr. Crowler!" the boys shouted.
"Mr. Crowler actually, I only just got here." Crowler said. "You two must be Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale, am I right?"
"Yes, we are, remember, teach?" Jaden was confused.
"You're not…" Syrus was about to say.
"I'm not your Crowler, no. But my family name is Crowler, too. I'm Vellian's brother."
"Brother?" Jaden and Syrus asked in union.
"Late for his class, are you? I'm heading there, too. I'll ask Vellian to take it easy on you two." Crowler's brother said before they both walk to Crowler's classroom.
Later, in Crowler's classroom, all the students were seated on their desks. Crowler noticed that Jaden and Syrus were not here yet. Still, he had to start.
"Good morning, class. Today we'll be doing maths. And we'll be having a new teacher coming here."
Jaden and Syrus entered the classroom, which makes Crowler glaring at them.
"So, Jaden and Syrus, late for class, are you?" he asked in a serious tone, and when Crowler's brother entered as well, he was shocked. "Vincent?!"
"Are you just gonna stand there like a goofball, are you just gonna start teaching, Vellian?" the man named Vincent asked bluntly.
"What are you doing here?!" Vellian demanded.
"I've been assigned to be professor in Duel Academy." Vincent replied.
"You?" Vellian was shocked.
"That's right." Vincent answered.
"Wow, I never knew Crowler had a twin brother." Jaden said.
"Vellian never mentioned me?" Vincent asked.
"I didn't want to talk about you." Vellian mumbled bitterly. "What was I supposed to do, say something about Vincent? Everybody loves Vincent. Lazy nothing."
"Say, Dr. Crowler, what kind of Duel Monsters do you have?" Jaden asked.
"Have you forgotten already, Slifer slacker?" Vellian asked. "I have Ancient Gear, Beast, Cannon, Golem…"
"Uh, I was asking your brother." Jaden said bluntly, making Vellian stunted.
"Oh, just Magicians, great ones." Vincent said. "But enough about me, what lesson are we learning?"
Alexis raised her hand. "Maths, Dr. Crowler."
"You mean Vincent?" Syrus asked.
Crowler got stunned again. "You've been called 'Doctor' on your first day here?! Oh, no. First, he's always got Magician deck and wins every time, now he's taking my place. I just can't understand it."
Later after hours, the students learned maths, the class was over, and they went to lunch, except Jaden, Syrus, Alexis, Atticus, and Chazz who were all talking with Vincent about his duelling skills, which makes Vellian glooming with jealously.
"Well, when I used Magicalized Fusion, I summoned the Dark Quintet Chaos Magician. I was winning. With his attack, Sagi the Dark Clown didn't stand a chance."
"Wow, that was awesome." Chazz said in amazed.
"Our Crowler's Duel Monsters weren't that great." Atticus said, making Vellian crossed his arms to his chest.
"But, let's not talked about me, let's talk about you." Vincent insisted. "Chancellor Shepard told me that you duelled Vellian and entered the school."
"Well, it was nothing." Jaden said.
"Jaden was really talented." Alexis said.
"We're much alike then, Jaden. Between you and me, my brother's not a duelist of the best, nor brightest."
Vellian stand up in anger. "Hey, who are you calling dim?"
"Don't take it personal, Vellian, I'm just being honest." Vincent said defensively.
"You always make things look like I'm an idiot, Vinny!" Vellian snapped.
"In fairness, you do act like an idiot sometimes." Vincent said.
"I don't get why you two are at each other's throats. You guys are brothers, why do you hate each other?" Jaden asked.
"Why are you in so much competition with me?" Vellian asked frustrated.
"You're just jealous, Velli." Vincent said.
"I can't help it! I'm smarter than you." Vellian proclaimed.
"You're not." Vincent said.
"I cook better than you." Vellian proclaimed.
"You can't." Vincent said.
"My handwriting is better than yours." Vellian proclaimed.
"You can't even spell the names right." Vincent said.
"Been Mother's favourite, you've always been. But I've been working all the time to prove I'm the greatest duelist. I became the head professor and department chair of techniques at Duel Academy. And there's you coming here, gaining my students attention, like a Slifer slacker like Jaden here."
"Hey." Jaden snapped.
"You pompous, ponytailed, stupid dimwit." Vincint said bitterly.
"And don't call me stupid. You know how sensitive I am with that word." Vellian snapped.
"Kids, why don't you just go have your evening?" Vincent asked the kids nicely, before glaring at his brother. "Stupid moron."
"Lazy, lotto stud." Vellian mumbled.
Jaden and his friends left the classroom, and went to a walk.
"Man, those two really hate each other." Chazz said.
"I know. I like Crowler's brother." Syrus said.
"Hey, Lex, do you think they'd get along someday?" Jaden wondered.
"We would never know for sure." Alexis replied.
