Inui Takumi, also known as Kamen Rider Faiz, sits on a small grassy hill on his bike, watching as the sun begins to set. It's a beautiful sight, but it will probably be the last thing he sees before his death.

He signs as he rests his head on his bike. It's been one year since the final battle against the Orphnoch King. It was a hard fight, but they still won in the end. But the most shocking revelation was revealed during the whole Orphnoch King situation.

Orphnoch's short lifespan. The human body cannot stand such a rapid evolution, and as such, all Orphnoch are doomed to die of inevitable breakdown and disintegration upon their rebirth.

As the Wolf Orphnoch himself, this also applies to him. After the final battle, he started to notice light gray ash blowing off from his hand. Takumi's body is breaking down. At first, Takumi tries to hide this fact from Mari and Keitaro, but they soon find out about it in just about a month.

Both of them were angry at him at first, but they got over it as the three of them tried to find a solution. At first, they try to ask Smart Brain for help; if they have a solution while there, Takumi also ask the company to fix up Auto Vajin while he were there, as it was heavily damaged during the fight with the Orphnoch King.

They listen to Mari's request as she is their former president's daughter.

They run several experiments on Takumi's body, desperately trying to find a solution that will prevent his death. Day and night, the company tries to fulfill the president's daughter's request.

But after several weeks of little-to-no progress, Smart Brain announced that the only solution for Takami is the Orphnoch King's ability to fix the genetic flaw of an orphnoch body.

Mari and Keitaro were devastated upon hearing the news, and they grieved the whole day after hearing it. He still remembers hearing Mari silently cry the whole night in her room.

A few days later, after the three of them were done grieving, Mari had a suggestion for Takumi to try to make the most of his remaining life.

So the three went all around Japan, enjoying life to the fullest, from sight-seeing to trying out a variety of different foods across the nation and attending events,as Smart Brain funded the whole thing. Takumi even finds a new hobby in cooking. Mari teases him a lot, saying how a nekojita is trying to learn how to cook.

It is the most fun time Takumi has had in his entire life with those two. He wants it to last forever, but with the end coming closer, Takumi decides to spend the rest of it on Keitaro's dry cleaners. He used to hate working on this job, but after the whole Orphnoch incident, he started to appreciate it, and the whole thing is very relaxing.

Today, Takumi feels like this will be his final day in this world. More and more ash starts to get blown off from his body.

Takumi reached out the back of his bike, grabbing one of the three briefcases. The three brifcases contain the Faiz gear,the Kaixa gear, and the Delta gear.

Takumi opened the briefcase, and as he took out the Faiz phone, he started dialing Mari's number.

Takumi's finger hovers over the enter button as he hesitates to call her. He signs as he closes the phone.

He does not have the courage to see both Mari and Keitaro sad when he is in his final moment.

"Looks like it's just you and me, huh?" Takumi said as he smacked the front of his motorcycle, named Auto Vajin. It replied with a beep from its horn.

Takumi signs as he closes his eyes, waiting patiently for his doom.

"O brave heroes, please save our world!"

"Huh?" Takumi opens his eyes as he hears the voice. His eyes widen as he sees that instead of looking at the sun setting, what greets him instead are five figures wearing a dark robe. Paying more attention to his surroundings, he seems to be in a dark room with three more individuals beside him, each with a weapon: a sword, a spear, and a bow. He also sees something attached to his right arm: a small white shield with a green gem in the middle.

'What's this thing'? Takumi thought as he began to inspect the shield.

"We have summoned you to our world, Four Cardinal Heroes, using a ancient ritual." Takumi looks at the middle-robe man and starts to pay attention to what he is saying. "Waves have come to bring destruction to our world. O brave Four Cardinal Heroes, please help us." The robed man said as he and the other robed individual started to bow to us.

"Summon to our world?" Takumi muttered to himself as he repeated what the robed man said.

"I refuse," said the sword user.

"Likewise." The bow user replied

"Sent us back to our world first; we can deal with your problem later." The Spear user said as he pointed his spear towards the robed individual.

"Yeah, if you think about it, you're just kidnapping the four of us without our consent," Takumi said. If they are trying to summon a hero, they should have chosen someone else, not him, whose body is at any moment turning to ash.

"What gurranted you will not throw us away after we bring peace to your world" the bow user replied.

"Yeah, are you expecting us to work for free? and are you willing to accommodate us? Depending on your answer, we might become your enemies instead." The spear user replied

"F-First, we would like you four heroes to meet with the King of our country, Melromarc," said the robed man nervously. "You can negotiate your reward with our Majesty after that, so please..." said the robed man, almost sounding as if he were pleading.

"Fine, I guess," the sword user replied quietly. The robed man smiled as he started to lead us to his king.

The three heroes start to follow the five-robed individuals. Takumi gets off his bike as he starts to push his bike as he follows along.

"Woah, you got sent with your bike, dude," the spear user said as he start to inspect Auto Vajin.

"Yeah, with a lot of other stuff too," Takumi replied. A lot of stuff got summoned with him: Auto Vajin, the three drivers, and Faiz Blaster.

"Man, if I know I will be summoned, I will bring a lot of stuff with me." He said as his body slumped back. "Well, whatever, let's hurry up to meet the king." the spear hero said as he started to speed up, following the other

'This really is another world, huh?' Takumi thought as he inspected everything there was to see. The building they are in is a castle thought to have come from a fantasy world. People dress in different styles, and he spots some people with animal features on their bodies.

'What a waste.' Takumi thought as he signed. Being summoned to a fantasy world and seeing all the sights that are impossible to see in his world is an opportunity of a lifetime. but with his limited lifespan, it will be just a waste. Takumi inspects his hand as he blows gently at it, trying to determine how much time he has left.

Expecting ash to be blown off his hand, but instead there is nothing.

"Huh?"

"Is something wrong, shield hero?" One of the robed men said with a hint of concern. Everyone else stopped moving as they heard the robed man.

"No, nothing is wrong," Takumi said, hoping to get everyone's attention off of him. The three other heroes shrug as they continue being led to the king.

"So these four men are the four cardinal heroes of legend? The king said as he glanced toward us. "I am King Aultcray Melromarc XXXII, the king of this glorious country of Melromarc. Heroes, state your name." said the king sitting on the throne.

The king is an older-looking man with white hair and a beard wearing royal attire, which includes a purple robe with white fur on the edges and a crown with violet jewels adorned on it.

The sword hero steps forward. "Amaki Ren, 16 years old, high schooler." Ren spoke as he held the blade of his sword.

The spear hero steps forward. "I'm Kitamura Motoyasu, 21 years old, a college student." Motoyasu said as he rested his spear on his shoulder.

"I suppose I'm up next." The bow hero said as he stepped forward. "Kawasumi Itsuki, 17 years old, high schooler." Itsuki said as he held his bow to his chest.

'Looks like I'm last.' Takumi steps forward. "I'm Inu-"

"I see. Ren, Motoyasu, and Itsuki, huh?" The king said, ignoring Takumi.

"Oi King, you forgot about me." Takumi yell out with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Oh, forgive me." The king said with a bored face.

"Inui Takumi, 20 years old, dry cleaner"

'What's with this guy? It's like I'm not welcome here.'

"Now, I suppose I owe an explanation for your summoning," said the king as he quickly dismissed Takumi's introduction.

In summary, an apocalyptic prophecy that mentions multiple "Waves" that will end the world. Monsters will rain down from the wave for multiple hours non-stop until the waves close on their own or the boss is killed. Each country has an ancient dragon hourglass, which can predict the arrival of Waves. The first Wave started in this world before the heroes were summoned. The locals somehow managed to fend off the first wave, but with heavy casualties. There is less than a month left until the second Wave, and with each passing Wave, the next will be even harder than the last.

"And so we summon the four Cardinal Heroes to counter the waves." The king finished his explanation as his face showed fatigue from just mentioning the Waves.

The four Cardinal Heroes agree to help. But the heroes, excluding Takumi, are expecting to be handsomely rewarded for their help.

'Man, these guys sure are greedy.' Takumi doesn't really care about the reward. If he receives one, he will accept it, but if not, then whatever. When Takumi fights the Orphnoch as Faiz, he really doesn't expect any reward for his deeds in the end.

"Then, heroes, you should all check your status."

Takumi, Itsuki, and Motoyasu are confused by the king's words.

Ren sighs heavily. "It's the circle with the three dots on the edge of your vision. Focus on it." Ren explains it like it's common sense.

Takumi found the three dots as he started to focus on them. His eyes widen as the status menu pops up in his vision.

Takumi is surprised and confused as he looks at his status. This thing reminds him of the old-school RPG he used to play as a kid that used to be very popular in Japan.

Takumi searched around his status, spotting the item and party menu.

'Just like in the game.' Takumi knows he shouldn't think about this whole thing as just a game, but he can't help but make the comparison. After finishing checking his status, he begins to focus on the party menu.
