After class, I spotted Nagito in the corridor.
"Hey Nagito, what are you up to? I finally finished writing about the different perspectives of luck in various cultures. I thought that maybe thanks to that… you'd give more value to your talent and finally you could feel like an ultimate...
"I just asked my teacher if we could cancel the exams."
He just ignored what I said. I thought he would be interested… Was there something more important on his mind?
"Since my classmates are not at their best because of the recent tragedies Hope's Peak Academy is going through. But I want them to be at their very best to shine at the exams and show that they are true symbols of hope! Unfortunately, my teacher said it was not possible to even delay the exams and in that case, they won't perform as well as in better circumstances and some of them might even fail… I really can't let that happen. Even if Hope's Peak Academy won't change anything, I won't let them down. It is my chance as a stepping stone to be useful for the ultimates.
"I understand that you find that unfair but… what do you want to do?
"Bye now, I have a lot to do."
Ignoring my question, he walked away. Why was it so important to him?
Nagito, what were you up to? This guy really makes me worry sometimes. I hoped he wouldn't do anything that would get him in trouble. I needed to make sure he wouldn't.
Knowing him, he was not going to give up until he avails. I knew he was probably going to put himself in danger, or worse like even getting himself killed… So for his sake, and Hope's Peak Academy's, I needed to make sure the exams would be delayed. I knew that with the right words, I could make the headmaster change his mind.
