Chapter 1

"This is Manaphy, the seafaring pokemon," Prof. Cerise said, showing Ash and Goh a picture of A blue pokemon.

"Manaphy?" Goh asked, having never heard of it before.

"Manaphy is a mythical Pokemon that is born with a mysterious power that allows it to bond with any kind of Pokemon." Prof. Cerise explained to Goh, just as Chloe walked in the door.

"What are you guys talking about?" asked Chloe.

"I'm telling Ash and Goh about Manaphy, a mythical pokemon that lives in the sea." Prof. Cerise said to Chloe. "And I'm telling them this because I want them to go to Hoenn to gather data on Manaphy!"

"Chloe," Ash said, turning to her. "You should come too! It'll be loads of fun!" "Me?" Chloe said, unsure about this. "Yeah!" Ash enthusiastically said, "My friend May lives in Hoenn, and she has an awesome Glaceon!"

"Okay, I'll come," Chloe said.

"And I can catch lots of Hoenn pokemon while we're there!" Goh said, happy to be learning about mythical Pokemon and being able to catch Pokemon simultaneously.

"Well, you'd better be off then," said Prof. Cerise.

"Ok, see you later!" said Ash, Goh, and Chloe.

Elsewhere…

"Are the preparations complete for the capture of the Phione egg?" A mysterious man asked.

"Preparations are complete, we are in the process of tracking it down." Another man said.

"Very Good." the mysterious man said.

'Watch out Sea crown,' he thought, 'this time there will be no pokemon ranger or arrogant children to protect you.'

"I wonder what Manaphy is like," Chloe mused to herself.

Ash had overheard her though. "Manaphy is so cool, and cute too! One time it even rode on Kyogre!"

"Really? – wait, how do you know?" Chloe said suspiciously.

"Hey Ash," Goh interrupted. "Is this the place?"

"Yep, that's May's house," Ash said.

"Why does it look like a gym?" Chloe said, distracted from the former subject.

"Because it is one!" Ash said.

"May is a gym leader?!" Goh said, surprised.

"No, but her dad is," Ash replied.

Just then, the door opened. "Ash! Great to see you again!" A young girl, apparently May, said. "I hoped you'd be home when we came," said Ash. "We're going to try to find Manaphy, and thought you and Max would like to come."

"Like? I'd love to come!" May said.

"Max! Where are you!" she called into the gym. "Someone is here to see us!"

"Who is it?" a voice asked.

"You'll see!" May said.

A young boy around the age of seven 7 appeared in the doorway. "Ash! Hi!" Max said joyfully.

"Hi, Max!" said Ash, "I'd like you and May to meet my new friends, Goh and Chloe!"

"Nice to meet you!" May said. "Nice to meet you too!" Goh and Chloe said.

"May I please see your Glaceon, May?" Chloe asked.

"Oh, did Ash tell you about her?" May said. "I'll show her to you, but why do you want to see her?" May asked, curious.

"Well, my Eevee hasn't decided what to evolve into yet, so we want to meet all the Eevee evolutions. We've already met a Glaceon, but yours sounds so amazing!"

"Oh, I see," May said. "Of course, you can see her. Come on out, Glaceon!" May threw a Pokeball into the air. Out came a beautiful Glaceon. "Evui!" Eevee said as it slipped out of Chloe's arms to meet Glaceon.

"Ash," Max asked, "Did you come all this way to see us?"

"Not exactly," replied Ash, "me and Goh help out at Cerise laboratories, and Prof. Cerise sent us on a mission to learn more about Manaphy! So, it wasn't really out of our way."

"Manaphy? Can we see Jirachi too?" Asked Max. "Maybe another time, Max," said May.

"Jirachi? I've heard of it before." Goh said.

"Jirachi's another Mythical Pokemon, but it's asleep right now," Ash told Goh.

"Hey Ash, we should probably go now," said May.

"Where exactly are we going?" asked Chloe.

"The Ocean!" Ash replied, full of energy as always

"Phantom, we have reports that the kid who stopped you last time is heading to the sea temple." A man said to the said Phantom.

"Is that so?" said Phantom. "Well, now I have devices that can stop even the King of the sea from thwarting my plans."
