A/N: This story was written as part of #WCCBingo23. It fulfilled the square B2: Lace Knickers.

It was also written to fulfill my prompt from Wizarding Crossover Connections's Roll A Drabble from April 2023. I was assigned Luna Lovegood and the trope - In Vino Veritas. Then I got to pick my own crossover fandom.

The story follows into the same 'verse that I've created in my stories 'A Helping Hand' and 'The Affection Deviation'. Yes, I know this feels unfinished - however, at this time, this is where the muse wants to stop with this piece. I've got a lot of other bingo squares to write and we'll have to see when the muse decides to add the next installement. So please, refrain from asking for more at this time.

I'd like to xxDustNight88 for prereading this piece in the mess that it was before I got it to Grammarly.

I do hope you enjoy!

Love always,

~starr

Luna collapsed onto Penny's couch with a sigh and propped her feet up on the end table, leaning back to rest her head against the top of the sofa. Her eyes drifted shut as she thought about her last several interactions with Sheldon. Granted, she hadn't been alone with him since that day he rescued the spider from her apartment, but they had spent several evenings together with everybody else in Sheldon and Leonard's living room.

"I think you should just go for it," Penny said, making her way from the kitchen into the living room with two glasses of wine. She placed the glass on the coffee table and sat beside Luna on the couch, lifting her own glass to her lips. The subtle citrus scent filled her nose as a smile pulled at the corners of her lips, and she sipped her wine. "I've told you like a million times before, he's into you, and you're into him. It just makes sense."

Luna rolled her eyes and leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees as she studied the glass in front of her. "You say that like you have insider information. I don't even know how I feel about Sheldon, so how do you know how I feel about him?" Luna asked, glancing at Penny out of the corner of her eye. She grabbed her glass of wine and lifted it to her lips, a hiss escaping her lips as the wine warmed her belly.

"Your eyes light up whenever Sheldon walks into a room. You hang on to every word he says even when you have no idea what the hell he is saying," Penny answered, pausing to take a long sip of her wine. "Not to mention, you will come up with any excuse you can to hang out with him when the rest of us aren't around."

Luna furrowed her brow and shook her head. "I don't look for any excuse to hang out with him."

"That's not what I hear," Penny laughed, kicking playfully at Luna's foot. "Come on, just admit that you like him, at least a little bit. You know you can tell me."

Luna finished off her wine and returned the empty glass to the table. She pushed herself up off the couch, making her way to the door and slamming it shut behind her. With a sharp turn, Luna made quick work of the stairs and headed straight to her apartment and back to her bedroom. She pulled open the top drawer of her dresser and started rummaging around to find her lucky pair of lace knickers. It took about five minutes, but she extracted the lacy white thong out of the drawer and tossed it onto the bed over her shoulder.

Ten minutes later, Luna was pouring a glass of Pink Moscato into a wine glass as she stood in the middle of her kitchen, shifting back and forth as her knickers fell into place against her skin. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before lifting the glass to her lips and swallowing every last drop. The empty glass clinked against the counter as Luna set it down before making her way back out of her apartment and down to Sheldon's floor.

Penny was standing in her doorway, taking a sip of her wine and giving Luna a once-over. She rolled her eyes and set the glass down inside before stepping out and running her fingers through Luna's hair. "There, that's better," Penny said, nodding her head proudly. "Not that he'll necessarily notice, but it's a start."

"If this blows up in my face," Luan began, pointing her finger at Penny as she shook her head. "I'm never speaking to you again."

"Promises, promises," Penny hummed, turning her back to Luna and returning to the couch in her apartment, not bothering to close the door to her apartment. Luna motioned to the open door, and Penny laughed, motioning for her to head across the hall.

With a sigh, Luna adjusted her jeans, causing the knickers to finally shift to a spot on her body that felt comfortable, and she made her way over to Sheldon's door. She rapped her knuckles against the door and waited for someone to answer.

The door swung open and revealed Leonard's smiling face. "Hey, Luna."

"Hey, Leonard," Luna said, offering a smile. "Is Sheldon home?"

"He is," Leonard replied, ushering her inside. "Sheldon, you have a visitor! I'll be across the hall if you need me."

Before Luna could object, Leonard was gone, leaving the door to the apartment wide open behind him. She glanced over her shoulder and saw the two of them watching from Penny's doorway. She rolled her eyes and waited for Sheldon to emerge from his bedroom.

"Who is it?" Sheldon called, rounding the corner and pausing when he saw Luna standing in his apartment. "Where'd Leonard go?"

"He's at Penny's," Luna replied, shrugging her shoulders. "Look, Sheldon. I have a theory I want to test out."

Piqued by the idea of a hypothesis, Sheldon quickly joined her in the middle of his living room. "Go on," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "What is this theory about?"

Luna started to explain but stopped herself deciding that the best way to test her theory was to do something about it. She stepped towards Sheldon and wrapped her arms around his neck as she leaned in to kiss his lips. He was startled at first, but as Luna moved to get a little closer to him, she felt him relax. After a moment, Sheldon rested his hands on her hips, pulling her closer to him. They remained wrapped up in one another for a few moments before Luna finally pulled away.

She rocked back on her heels and looked up at him with a small smile on her face, her hands still resting around his neck and his hands still on her hips. Sheldon's eyes remained closed for a few moments longer, and Penny could be heard awwing from across the hall. Luna glanced back over her shoulder and glared at Penny until she held up her hands, backing away and closing the door.

Sheldon slowly opened his eyes and pulled his hands away from Luna's waist, shoving them into his pocket as he took a few shallow breaths. "You said you had a theory?" he asked, raising a brow.

"Right," Luna said, carding a hand through her hair. "My theory was about bubbles." Just as Luna said bubbles, she hiccupped, causing her to burst into laughter.

"Dr. Lovegood, are you feeling alright?" Sheldon asked, looking her up and down.

"Yes, Sheldon," she sighed, shoving her hands in her pockets. "I just feel embarrassed because my theory failed."

"Why do you say that?" he replied, taking a step towards her.

"Because I thought that maybe if I kissed you, you'd realize that I have feelings for you!" Luna shouted, tossing her hands in the air. "But apparently, I was wrong."

Luna spun on her heels and ran out of his apartment, leaving Sheldon speechless in the middle of his living room.
