me and ajisai ran towards the safe house...i felt a very powerful genma presence approaching very quickly. this genma was bizarre i felt that comforting darkness yet mutated by that vile light. there was oni blood in the genma. as i arrived i saw the safe house though cut down. i went inside and saw yuki and yumemaru in fear as the genma had kaede by the throat. before it could stab her with it's kukri i reached them in time and swung my scythe only for it throw kaede at me.

"so this is the armageddon knight...hopefully you'll prove a challenge...but i doubt that." the genma said as he walked outside the safe house. motioning me to follow. what followed was the most difficult fight yet. this genma was human sized but he was much powerful than his greater genma buddies. i was covered in cuts and breathing heavily. while i haven't made a scratch on him. the genma scoffed. "i was expecting more of a challenge. maybe that oni will give me more when i butcher the two kunoichi and deliver those two to fortinbras." the genma said. he made his intention clear. if i don't succeed. ajisai...kaede...yumemaru...yuki. they will all die. i won't...let some dirtbag take people who matter to me again! i won't let that happen anymore! Release restraint!

Ajisai pov.

I couldn't understand what i was seeing. Pharos grew angelic wings and demonic horns that seemed to made of bone. His skin and eyes turned black with purple glowing lines all over. He had a mask similar to the one he had when we first met. With one slash he broke through the genma's sword. And impaled him with a longsword that appeared in his hand. The genma laughed. As pharos pulled out the sword. The genma's began to glow. As he fell to the ground. His body let an explosion that no doubt would have killed us…if not for pharos covering us with a dark robe that protected us from the blast. He returned to normal and smiled before he fell to the ground unconscious. I managed to catch him.

"Pharos…" i said. My voice filled with worry.

"What happened?" samanosuke asks as he ran towards us.

Samanosuke pov.

After getting pharos in a safe place in the castle. In a room very similar to the safe house. I discussed matters with ajisai.

"Samanosuke. Do you know what that tremor was?" ajisai asked.

"A gate has appeared in another room. It most likely leads to where those monsters came from. But a barrier is in my way. I'll need something special to get by." i said. Ajisai looked at the bow that pharos was carrying. And took it off him.

"Hold this." ajisai said. I took the bow and she headed out.

"Where are you going ajisai?" princess yuki asked.

"If there's any ranged weapon that can break down the barrier. It's the great bow. But it needs its arrow first. Try using a regular arrow. And it'll be just a normal bow and arrow. And it won't get that barrier down. I know where it is. And i'll go get it." ajisai said. I was about to object to putting herself in trouble. But to all of our surprise a purple flame ignited on her hand and taking the form of pharo's scythe. Ajisai looked at the unconscious pharos and smiled. "Even unconscious…your looking out for me…looks like i'll be fine." ajisai said as she left the room.

Ajisai pov.

"Thank you…my love." i said outside the door. I sighed. Alright let's do this. I fought my way through the monsters which was actually pretty easy considering how sharp and powerful this scythe is. It was a rush using the grim reapers power. But i digress i slashed my way through them and went to that puzzle box to grab the decorated arrow. One that looked similar to the great arrow. All of the traps in the castle were my design. So i knew how to disarm them. And this trap was not a lethal one. Grab the arrow. The door gets locked. Trapping the thief inside. So in case the arrow was needed i had a fake great arrow made as a way to bypass the trap. After grabbing i headed back to the room only for samanosuke to appear in front of me in front of the well.

"Where the hell did you go?" i asked.

"Not sure myself." samanosuke replied. I rolled my eyes and handed him the arrow. "Ajisai. I'll go alone. You watch over the others." samanosuke said.

"That is my duty." i said. Samanosuke began to ran off "samanosuke!" I yelled. He turned around. "Yuki will be sad if you die…so you better not bite it samurai!" i yelled. He smiled and nodded and headed off.

Samanosuke pov.

I arrived to the room where the gate was. I pulled back the string of the great bow. The arrow gave off purple flame. I fired the bow right into the stone. It drilled into it. Causing it to explode. With nothing in my way anymore. I opened the gate. This nightmare ends now!

As i made my way through. That genma scientist appeared to have been waiting for me.

"You pathetic human worm…impressive you've come this far, but ultimately futile since your journey ends here! Only genma can enter." the scientist said. I had no time to deal with this creature.

"You…why don't you go back to playing with your worthless little toys! I have no time for you." i replied. Apparently I hurt this creature's ego.

"W-what did you say!? How dare you!? A mere human mock me!? Fine then, it's time for you to fight my greatest creation! Come marcellus!" the scientist yelled. That genma that i got the arashi orb jumped in front of me. It seems he was upgraded from our last battle. "Go marcellus! Crush him." the scientist as he teleported away. The genma was a lot tougher than before. After dealing enough damage. It swapped out it's broadsword and shield for a pair longswords. Making it faster and more aggressive. Despite that. I still prevailed. The genma fell to it's knees. And began to combust and disappear. I entered the next room. And the ocarina i got from the dark realm began to glow. Maybe it was a sign for something. I played the ocarina and the door that was like spider legs pulled back. I entered the room to find a skull and ribcage with a western sword impaled in it's chest. As i approached. The skeleton came to life. And seemed to be in pain as the sword removed itself and came down towards me. Purple flames emitted from the blade as soon as my hands were around the hilt.

"What?" i asked. I could tell this sword was more powerful than any of my other weapons. Maybe it even rivaled pharo's scythe. Needless to say i was ready for whatever came next. I entered the next room which was a spiral pathway leading down. Any genma who got in my way ended up as ash. I entered the room at the bottom. As i looked around i heard an evil laugh.

"I am fortinbras…" i heard the voice say. A giant white snake like creature exited the big gate and stood in front of me. Revealing it's long clawed arms and demonic wings. "I am the king of the genma! You and that accursed armageddon knight may have prevented our ceremony for now. But it won't matter. The grail of despair will be filled with blood. And you and that armageddon knight will be dead before you can see the dark ceremony!" fortinbras laughed. Anger boiled within me. As i looked up to the monster.

"Even if i die, I will destroy you!" i yelled. Fortinbras roared as he met my challenge. I could tell this genma truly was on top of their hierarchy. Combined with his size. Alongside the magic he wields. Lasers from the eye on his forehead. His fire breath. Alongside the lighting casts. Even with this new sword. I was in for my toughest battle yet. After a long and grueling battle i landed the final blow on the eye on his forehead. Fortinbras screamed in agony as he fell to the ground lifeless. I holstered my blade.

"Samanosuke!" kaede yelled as she came from behind me…i'm not surprised about that.

"Kaede! Let's get out of here!" i yelled as the place began to collapse. Me and kaede ran for the exit. Only for fortinbras to grab me and squeeze the life out of me.

"There is no escape from me!" fortinbras yelled.

"Samanosuke!" kaede yelled.

"Get out of here! Forget about me" i yelled. Rubble covered the entrance. I felt my life began to fade. "Yuki…kaede…yumemaru…ajisai…phar..os." i said as i spat up blood and lost consciousness…i don't know what happened afterwards. I woke up to the sight of fortinbras utterly mutilated. His left arm was missing it's hand. His right arm was split down the middle like he ran it through a saw. And his head had a stab wound that went so far that it went through his brain. His eyes fell out of his head. And one of those eyes i saw a reflection of nobunaga. I stood up and saw that he was truly there. He looked at me with a grin.

"I must thank you samanosuke. I was fine with being their servant. But because of you there is now an empty throne…one that i will be more than happy to take." nobunaga announced as he began to laugh maniacally. The place began to collapse…i had no time to deal with this. I had to get away.

Few days later/ajisai pov.

"I am sorry about this ajisai." princess yuki said. As she and yumemaru were going to depart soon to see the world like samanosuke has.

"It's fine your highness…you wish to see the world. I am sorry that i cannot come with you…but there's a battle against an unknown enemy that needs to be faced…we've defeated them now…but no doubt they'll be back." i said.

"Very well…i just want you to know ajisai…you were more than just my best agent. You were also my best friend." yuki said with a smile.

"Likewise…yuki." i replied with a smile. She giggled.

"I wish you luck…in your battle against this evil…and with your love for the reaper." yuki said. My face red as she stuck her tongue out at me while getting on the boat. Yumemaru giggling all the way. I sighed as I waved them goodbye.

"You'll see them again…someday." kaede said with a smile. I smiled back and followed her.

Pharos pov.

"Are you sure about this samanosuke?" i asked looking over the destroyed remains of Inabayama castle.

"I'm sure…unless i can control this new power. I'll be a danger to you kaede and ajisai." samanosuke replied. I sighed.

"Alright…but when you do come back. Try to keep the fact that i lied to kaede from her…i don't want my throat slit because i let her worry about you. Alright?" I asked, samanosuke chuckled.

"Alright…what will you do now? Go back to warlord hunting?" samanosuke asked.

"No…this incident has left me with a lot of questions. About the oni. The genma. And the armageddon knights. I was fine not knowing who i was but after this…i need the find the truth more than ever. Besides. The genma have a new lord. They will be back. And we need to be ready. Who knows? Maybe on this journey. I'll find more like you…warriors that have been given magic power by the oni…until we meet again. Samanosuke akechi." i said.

"Likewise…pharos tahcinowarui." samanosuke said. And just like that. Me and him went our separate ways. I reunited with ajisai and kaede. Of course kaede asked me about samanosuke. Lying to her sucks. But samanosuke made his wish clear to me. So now begins a journey to learn all about the oni the genma and the armageddon knights. And be ready for the day the genma return.

A few weeks of traveling. The three of us went to an inn. Separate rooms of course. I soon heard a knock at my door. I opened it to see ajisai.

"Can i come in?" she asked. I nodded and let her in. "there's something i need to confess…" she said as she got closer and put her head to my chest. "I…i love you pharos…do you love me back?" she asked while looking at me with teary eyes. My response was to kiss her on the lips. Which quickly turned into a makeout session.

"That answer your question." i said with a grin. Ajisai giggled and hugged me. Eventually i'm going to be fighting monsters from hell again…but for now. I get to spend a peaceful with my beautiful kunoichi girlfriend…
