(A/N: So the last of the scrapped scenes takes place after Mario and Luigi defeated the giant goopy Piranha Plant in Bianco Square and uncovered the Grand Pianta Statue. It shows Daisy stopping the villain a little differently. Let's start the scene there!)

The princesses looked up at the statue's head and saw something, or was it someone, standing there. The figure turned to look at the women with piercing red eyes.

"Mario?" Peach asked, loud enough for Daisy and Toadsworth to hear.

"No, that is not Mario. It's HIM! He's not going to get away from us! Not this time!" Daisy declared. She quickly closed her parasol and held it like a baseball bat, determination in her blue eyes.

Then the figure leaped down from the statue and started running over to where Peach was standing. But before he could get too close to the blonde princess, Daisy leaped out in front of Peach and swung her parasol with all her might, hitting the villain in the chest. The next sound heard was a loud WHAM! And this was followed by another, equally loud WHAM!

(A/N: Yes, I had two ideas of where Daisy could hit the villain, but the scene where she hit him in the face made the final cut.)

Well, it turned out that Princess Daisy didn't know her own strength. She hit the villain hard enough to send him flying back several feet... right into the base of the Grand Pianta Statue! The back of his head hit the statue's base so hard, he fell to the ground, out cold! He even dropped his paintbrush!

"Whoa..." said the Toads in awe. They knew that Daisy was awfully strong for a princess, but they hadn't expected her to be as strong as that.

"Princess Daisy... Did you just...?" Toadsworth asked, unable to finish the sentence.

Daisy nonchalantly walked over to the villain, knelt down beside him, and checked him for signs of life. She looked at Toadsworth and said, "No need to panic, Toadsworth, I didn't kill him. He's just out cold."

"I'll think I'll take this thing over to the police. It's evidence." said Green Toad, donning some gloves and picking up the paintbrush. It was a lot bigger than him, but he held it just fine.

"Okay, you do that." Daisy said. So Green Toad took the paintbrush to the police station.

Meanwhile, Yellow Toad looked over some developing photos he had taken with his camera (the kind that gives you a picture when you push the button). When they saw the bad guy standing on top of the statue, the Toad noticed the figure and started taking photos of him. And he continued to do so the closer the guy got to where Peach and Daisy were standing. These could help prove that Mario was innocent.

"Now let's see..." Daisy said as she began to frisk the bad guy.

"What is Daisy doing to the villain?" Red Toad asked the Mario Bros.

"It looks to me like she's frisking him." Luigi said.

"Frisking? What does it mean to frisk somebody? I heard Toadsworth say it, but no one said what it means." Red Toad asked.

"I'll tell you. When we say that Daisy is frisking him, it means that she's relieving the madman of all his weapons (if he has any others besides that big paintbrush) so he can easily be apprehended." Mario explained.

"But he looks to be unconscious. Is it really necessary to frisk him when he's out like a light?" Red Toad wondered aloud.

"Sì. He might wake up while we're taking him to the police. He might break free of our hold in that case, and what if he has something like a gun or a knife on him? There's nothing Mario and I can do against such weapons." Luigi said.

Peach gulped nervously at the thought of that. She noticed that the bad guy was running towards her when he leaped down from the statue. If Daisy hadn't intervened when she did, she could have been kidnapped! She hoped the villain would stay unconscious until he was locked up in a prison cell, which is where he belonged.

"And if the cops have to lock him up, he could have something on him that could help him get out of his prison cell. We can't let him escape." Mario added.

"Ooh, good point. It makes perfect sense for Daisy to frisk him, then." said Red Toad.

"Looks like the paintbrush was the only weapon he had on him, guys. I can't find any others. So now it's time for us to turn him over to the cops." Daisy said.

"Okie-dokie." Mario said, feeling relieved. He and Luigi took the villain by his arms, hauled him upright, and started to drag the unconscious villain's evil butt to the police station.

While Daisy was frisking the villain, Green Toad had reached the police station with the paintbrush. He saw the cops and shouted, "OFFICERS!"

"What is it?" asked the rookie, snapping to attention

"Is that guy slacking off?" asked the Chief.

"If you'd paid attention, you'd know for sure." grumbled the Green Toad under his breath. Then he said, "No, the guy cleaned up the big mess, and we found a bad guy who was holding this!"

Green Toad showed them the paintbrush, and their eyes got big.

"Whoa! This is the-" the Chief started.

"Yup! The weapon that was used to vandalize your island." said Green Toad.

"Where is the guy who was using it?!" asked the rookie as he took the paintbrush into his hands.

Green Toad turned to look at something before turning back to the cops and saying, "You'll see him very soon! But he's out cold right now!"

"Huh?" asked both cops as Mario and Luigi came walking up, carrying something.

When Mario and Luigi were standing before the cops, they dropped the unconscious villain at their feet.

"Whoa... What have we here?" asked the Chief.

"What you are seeing right now is the guy you people are really supposed to be mad at! This is the one who is ruining your home, your lives, and my reputation!" Mario said, sounding angry.

"Yeah! This idiota was also ruining our vacation by framing my innocent brother and tricking all of you into hating his guts when he did nothing wrong!" said Luigi, also angry.

"And you know what?! I had a feeling that he was the one behind this mess! In fact, that's what I was trying to object about at the trial yesterday afternoon, but the judge must have decided that listening to a princess was nothing more than a big, fat waste of time!" Peach frowned.

The eyes of the officers widened in disbelief at those words, and the rookie said to Peach, "Whoa! You're a... a princess?!"

"That's right. Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom, to be exact. And I must say that I'm very surprised that no one here recognized me well enough to tell the judge that he should let me object when I'm trying to save my boyfriend from a fate he doesn't deserve in an unnecessary trial!" Peach replied.

"Oh geez! A real princess is here on the island! And the guy we arrested was her boyfriend! We're in real trouble now!" said the Chief.

"Yeah, well, I think the judge is going to be in even worse trouble when he finds out who she is! Remember, he was the one who decided that it was perfectly fine to overrule Her Highness's royal objection and judge her innocent boyfriend guilty without letting her her explain the reason why she was objecting!" said the rookie.

"This is really bad!" the Chief said.

"It's going to be a lot worse if the two of you don't hurry up and put that bleedin' blue idiot in a cell where he belongs! I don't want him to wake up and snatch the princess for real!" said Toadsworth, showing his concern for the princess.

"What did you just say?" asked the rookie.

"It's true. That dweeb was standing on top of the Grand Pianta Statue when it came out of that icky mess, and when he jumped down from it, he was running towards our princess. We think he was planning to kidnap her!" said Purple Toad.

"Yeah! I even got some pictures of him. That paintbrush you're holding was in his hands during that time. See?" said Yellow Toad, showing the cops the photos he took. Sure enough, the blue copy was holding the paintbrush in his hand, and he appeared to be running towards Princess Peach.

"But who or what stopped him?" asked the Chief as he picked up the unconscious villain.

"I was the one who stopped him. I hit him in the chest with my parasol and sent him flying back to the base of the statue. The back of his head hit the statue's base pretty hard, and that's what knocked him out. I had to knock him out quick because Peach's life was at stake." Daisy explained.

"So if you heard a loud WHAM!, followed by another WHAM! not too long ago, that was just the satisfying sound of Princess Daisy putting the bad guy out of commission!" said Blue Toad.

"Oh no! Two princesses are here on the island?! Great! Now there's going to be real trouble!" whispered the rookie.

"Yeah, the judge is going to feel stupid for overruling now." the Chief whispered back.

"Well, in the meantime, let's go put this guy in a cell and find out who he really is. This Mario look might just be a cheap disguise." said the rookie.

"I was just going to suggest we do that. Follow us." the Chief said to the group. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toadsworth, and the Toads quietly and obediently followed the cops into the police station.

The rookie handed the paintbrush to some other cops and said, "Give Delfino Forensics a call. They need to check this weapon for prints."

While the other cops called up Delfino Forensics to come and get information about the paintbrush, Mario and the others followed the Chief and the rookie to the area where the prison cells were.

"All right. Let's take him in here." said the Chief, stopping before a vacant cell.

The cops entered the cell, and they asked Mario and the others to hold the door shut so if the bad guy awoke, he could not get out.

"Now we need to find out what this guy is really like, and what he was up to." said the Chief as he set the criminal on the hard bed in the room.

It was very confusing to figure out how they were going to expose his true identity. The bad guy did not appear to be natural. He was blue and translucent. Where did he come from, and more importantly, why did he look like Mario?

"Oh boy, I don't think we're going to learn much about this villain until he regains consciousness." said the rookie.

"We're going to have to bring the judge and prosecutor down here to meet their real criminal." said the Chief.

"Do you want to go and get them? I can stay here and guard the bad guy while you do." said the rookie.

At that moment, the bad guy started to stir.

"Never mind. We'll find out who this guy is and what he was planning to do before we introduce him to the judge and prosecutor." said the Chief.

The villain began to come to. He was sure could hear voices, and when he slowly opened his eyes, he thought he saw some people standing over him. Where in the world was he?

About a minute later, the world slid into focus, and he had figured out his surroundings. He was somewhere indoors, lying on a hard bed, with two cops standing over him.

Hold the phone! The police were standing over him, and he was lying on a hard bed?! Was he in a... prison cell?!

"Am... am I in a... (gulp)... p-prison cell?" the bad guy asked, sounding very nervous.

"How right you are!" the rookie exclaimed.

"But... but I can't be locked up in here! I'm totally innocent!" the bad guy exclaimed, sounding upset and trying to use fake sadness in order to get sympathy from the cops.

"That's pretty hard to believe. Innocent people don't pollute whole islands while pretending to be someone else." Mario said.

"And they certainly don't run towards princesses with the intention of possibly trying to kidnap them, either." Peach added.

The villain sat up and looked to see Mario, Peach, and several other people standing outside of the cell, with their arms folded across their chests, glaring daggers at him. They were angry at him.

"You think I was-?! No, you've got it all wrong! I was not going to kidnap you! I was trying to rescue you!" the villain said to Peach.

"Rescue me? I wasn't in any real danger until you showed up! What do you mean when you say you were trying to 'rescue me'?!" Peach said.

"Yeah! I don't know what rock you've been living under, but she already has a bodyguard, and his name happens to be Mario!" Daisy said.

The cops felt even worse when they heard that. So Mario was not only the boyfriend to the princess, he was also her bodyguard. Taking him to prison was a stupid and dangerous thing to do!

"That's why I had to rescue her! Because she's with that Mario pest!" the villain explained.

"Hey, nobody, but nobody, calls my brother a pest in front of me and gets away with it!" Luigi yelled, giving Mario a hug.

"Excuse me, but Mario is not a pest! He is a sweet, wonderful man who treats me with love and respect!" Peach said, making Mario blush.

"You're yanking my chain! He's a bad man who took you away from me and Papa, and you know it, Mama Peach!" the villain said.

Those last two words got everyone's complete attention!

"WHAT?!" everyone yelled at him.

"WHAT did you call just her?!" Mario asked, hoping he heard that wrong. Did that villain actually refer to Peach as his mother?!

"Don't act stupid, Mario! You heard me! I said that you took Mama Peach away from me and Papa again! Admit it!" the villain said.

The cops looked at Peach as if to ask her if the villain was telling the truth about her. Peach rapidly shook her head in response. She didn't have any kids; not that she knew of.

"Okie-dokie. I'll admit... that I did nothing of the sort!" Mario replied, grinning as the bad guy growled in frustration.

"Heh, nice one, bro!" Luigi praised, and the brothers high-fived one another.

"Now hold everything! Where do you get off saying that Peach is your mom?! She's not a mother, especially not yours! She would have told me if she was going to be a mother, and she never said anything of the sort to me yet!" Daisy said.

"Daisy's right. You must have mistaken me for someone else! I have no children. But if you believe that I am who you say I am, do you think maybe you could show us who you really are? It's kind of hard for us to believe you're a kid of mine when you look to be the same age as me." Peach said.

"Oh yeah, you're right. I guess I should do that. Maybe you'll recognize me better." the villain said. He revealed himself to be none other than a teeny-tiny Bowser, wearing a dark blue bandana with Mario's nose and mustache crudely drawn on it in white.

"Mama-mia! He looks like Bowser!" Luigi exclaimed.

"I should! He's my papa! I'm Bowser Jr." the child replied to Luigi.

"Oh no! Bowser's spawn! No wonder he thinks Peach is his mother!" cried the Toads in unison.

"Hey! I resent being called a 'spawn'! I prefer 'child'." Jr. told them.

"You claim that blonde woman is your mother?" the Chief asked the villain.

"Because she is!" Jr. said.

"I am not! Don't believe him!" Peach told the police.

"She says she isn't." the rookie said.

"She is!" Jr. said.

"I am not a mother! I most certainly would've remembered having a child if you were mine, and I do not recall signing any adoption papers that make you mine. Look, I'm really sorry about this, but I am not your mother. I never saw you before in my life!" Peach said, looking him in the eyes, telling the truth. But that's not how Jr. saw it.

"Lying to your own child... For shame, Mama Peach..." Jr. said.

"She's NOT your mama! How many times does she have to say it before you finally get it through your stupid head?!" Mario shouted, having had enough of hearing this kid lie through his teeth about who Peach was.

"Shut up!" Jr. snapped.

"You first!" Mario told him.

"I don't think arguing with this child is going to get us anywhere, Master Mario. He seems to be as dotty as his father is about the princess." Toadsworth said.

"He sure is." said Red Toad, nodding his head in agreement.

"All right, then, Jr. If you really believe that I am your mama, then I want you to tell us everything." Peach said.

"Okay! I can do that! Papa told me that my Mama was kidnapped by a bad man named Mario, so I came here to rescue her." Jr. started.

"But she says she's not your mother." the Chief said.

"She is! She knows she is! Mario must have wiped her memory of the moment that she became my mama!" Jr. said.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I can't wipe people's memories of anything. I don't have the ability to do that. There is only one thing I have the ability to do with the princess, though, and this is it." Mario said. He swept Peach into his arms and kissed her on the lips. Peach began to return the kiss.

"You see?! He's wiping her memory right now! Stop him!" said Jr.

"Relax, kiddo! He's only kissing with her. That's not wiping her memory. I think he's kissing with her because he's in love with her." said the Chief.

"Yeah, and in case you haven't noticed, she seems to be returning his kiss. I think she loves him, too." said the rookie. They knew better than to take this kid seriously. He could say Peach was his mama all he wanted, but he sure didn't look anything like her.

"That's not true! You're both lying! And Papa told me everything. He said 'Mario's a bully, he never fights fair!' He said, 'Jr., you gotta try to outsmart Mario.' So I tried to get Mario sent to prison, but you imbeciles didn't lock him up, and now you're just going to let him get away with taking Mama Peach again!" Jr. exclaimed.

The cops didn't appreciate being called 'imbeciles', even though they were now beginning to realize that that's what they were.

"I'm warning you! That child is lying right through his teeth! You mustn't let him take the princess!" Toadsworth told the police.

"Let me at my Mama Peach!" Jr. said.

The rookie had enough of Jr.'s noise and finally pinned Jr. to the bed.

"One! Two! Three!" the Toads counted, acting as though Jr. and the rookie were wrestlers, and Jr. lost the match. Then they all started cheering! Daisy even joined in to humor them.

The Chief told the group, "All right, you guys can get out of here! We have some work to do!"

So Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toadsworth, and the Toads left the station, feeling that possible victory was on their side today.

"Wait a second! Did you notice that the kid was adding Peach's name to the parental title?! Kids aren't supposed to do that! They can refer to them as 'Mother', or 'Father', or something similar, but they don't add their names to their parental title!" Blue Toad exclaimed.

"You're right! Even if Peach really was his mother, he would never be allowed to use her real name when he calls her 'Mama'. That shows her a complete lack of respect!" said Green Toad.

"That's evidence we can use against him in the trial." said Purple Toad.

"He's setting himself up for the kind of trouble he can't get out of!" Daisy smiled.

"And it's all thanks to you, Daisy! Thank you for saving me from being taken by him!" Peach said, giving her cousin a big hug.

"Hey, I'm just looking out for my favorite cousin, the way Mario and Luigi look out for one another." Daisy said as she returned Peach's hug.

Mario and Luigi smiled and hugged each other at that.

Just then, a yellow Pianta cop came out of the station and said to the group of friends, "We just called up the judge and prosecutor and told them about what happened. They decided we'll have a new trial this afternoon at 3:00. Until then, clean up what you can of the mess."

"Yes, sir!" Mario and Luigi replied, saluting him.

"Excuse me, but why did you salute me and say 'yes, sir'? You weren't involved in the crime, so you don't have to serve the punishment." the cop said to Luigi.

"I'm helping Mario clean up the island. He's my twin brother, and I refuse to just stand by and watch him perform this task all by himself." Luigi replied.

"Oh. Well, since he may not be the real criminal, carry on, and help him out as much as you can until we find out who really did this." said the cop.

"Grazie. Thank you." said Luigi.

"You're welcome. And remember, 3:00 this afternoon. All of you. Be at the courthouse by then." the cop reminded them.

"Yes, sir!" everyone replied, saluting the cop.

The cop looked pleased and walked back into the station so he wouldn't miss a moment of what would go down when the judge and prosecutor met the real villain.

And then the story continues as it does from there. I hope you enjoyed these deleted scenes!
