Before I knew it, Stan leaned forward and kissed my lips. When he pulled out, I said, "Stan, what are you-" He placed his left index finger on my lips, causing me to silence. He then kisses me again. I kissed back. Stan picks me up and carries me to his bedroom. Soon, we were wearing nothing but our undergarments, and were repeatedly smooching each other. After a while, my vision was becoming blurry, and all I saw was black. Yet again I pass out.
When I awake, I noticed I was next to Stan, still sleeping in his bed. I immediately got out of bed, heading towards the bathroom and locking the door to take my shower. I showered longer than usual this time. After the shower, I brushed my teeth, and dried my hair with the hair dryer. I then flattened it with the hair straightener iron, brushed it, and tied it in a low ponytail. Afterwards, I slipped into a brand new t-shirt, a pair of light jeans, socks, and sneakers I packed in my backpack before leaving Connecticut.
I went downstairs to make some coffee, and I took a quick sip of it. I couldn't help but notice the breathtakingly beautiful dawn morning sky out of a window seconds later. As I walked over to it, I felt a pair of warm arms wrapping around my torso, stopping me in my tracks. I turned my head to see Stan smiling at me. "Good morning, Stan," I said. "Good morning, Lyssie," Stan said, kissing my cheek. "How is the love of my life doing?" "Good, I guess," I say shyly. "Yesterday was crazy as hell. I thought I lost you for good." "You know, Lyssie, it's rude to not give your fiancé a kiss first thing in the morning," Stan said pointedly. I turn around, facing Stan. We kiss, and I said, "Do you-" The front door suddenly swings open, and Butters came running in. He was panting. "Sorry to interrupt your reunion, but this is important! The elven king needs you two immediately!" "Now?" I murmur. "He told me to give Alyssa this outfit," Butters said, handing me a box. "Please head to Kupa Keep ASAP." Butters then leaves the house, and closes the door. "Shit," Stan said. "I wanted to have fun today." "Don't worry, Stan. We can maybe do something fun later if there's time." I said. "You're right," Stan said. "But let's hurry. I don't want to piss off Kyle."
We both head upstairs, and into the bedroom. As we were changing clothes, Stan tapped my shoulder with his index finger. "Hey, Lyssie," he began, "I'm kinda worried," I turn around, seeing him in a sad facial expression that suggests he might cry at any moment. "What's the matter? Why are you worried?" I ask. "You know, it's been eight years since we met each other. During the entire time you left, I haven't been training at all. So I'm worried my promise to you will be broken." Stan said. "I'm sorry, Stan. I don't know what to tell you. I didn't want to leave you, but my parents themselves wanted us to return to Connecticut. I was heartbroken." I said. "I know you really don't want to break that promise, but please just do your best. That's all I want. I couldn't care any less about you getting stronger or not, that doesn't matter because at the end of the day, I love you, Stanley Marsh." Stan gasped. "What's wrong?" I ask. "I need some time alone," Stan said. I slip into the dark green scarlet darkness medieval renaissance dress and black flats that was in the box Butters gave me. I immediately made my way to Kupa Keep.
Once I arrived at the front of Kyle's throne, I bow. "Alyssa," Kyle began, "you did well bringing back Stan. I cannot thank you enough." "It was a pleasure, my king," I say with modesty. "I have a new mission for you and Stan. You see, the stick has been stolen again, by the Crab People." "Crab people?" I say, surprised. "Who are they?" "You'll understand when you see them," Kyle said. "But anyways, I need both of you to get it back. The Crab People are somewhere in the depths of the forest, in a lair." I was excited, but I really didn't want Stan to also go. I love him, but I feel like I've been relying too much on him. I want to talk to him first before asking Kyle to call him off of the mission. I knew nothing about these Crab People, but whether they're mutants or just ordinary crabs, they'll all go down. I know I'm being pretty cocky, but I truly do believe in myself.
I go out of Kupa Keep and head towards Stan's house. I heard a strange, loud noise that made me stop moving, but then I felt a bare hand on my shoulder. "Alyssa?" I turn around. Stan was right there, in his knight garb. "What are you doing?" "I want to talk to you. You know Kyle assigned us a mission, right?" I said. "Yes. Is there a problem?" Stan asks. "I don't know how to say this, but could you please not go with me on this mission?" I said as politely as I could, trying hard not to blush. Stan frowned. "No. You're not going on this mission without me." "Stan, it's fine, I'll be fine." "No, that's bullshit." "Stan, let me go on this mission alone. I can take care of myself." "No. I'm going with you." "But you'll just get in my way." "I'm going with you, whether you like it or not, period." "I'm hurt you have no faith in me." "Listen, I've been at that lair. It's not someplace where I want you to be. Alone." "Stan, if I die, I die. Just find a replacement for joy in your life." "No. You're not going alone, and that's final." "I just want to be able to defend myself. I don't want you to save me all the time." "Alyssa, I know you're upset, but please understand when I say this is what's best for you." "I wish it didn't have to be this way." Stan, holding my shoulders, has his lips on mine, my arms falling limp to my sides. "Stan, I…" I said, breathless. "I cannot risk losing you again. Since this time, I can do something about it, I won't take any chances." Stan said softly. "I have to go now." I said. "I know. Wait for me at Kupa Keep. I'll be there momentarily." Stan said, kissing me again, before walking off.
