RUNAWAY CARRIE
Chapter 1:Prom Night Tragedy
Date: Saturday 22nd June 2013 (Prom Night)
Time: 21:00pm
Location: Ewen High school, Chamberlain, Maine, USA
"You're Prom King & Queen are… Tommy Ross & Carrie White!" The names were called out, as the announced Prom Queen: Carrie White, gasped in surprise, as her name was called out…
Everyone then began up and cheering and clapping for her, every as well as her Prom Date: Tommy Ross, as Tommy helped Carrie up, and guided her towards the stage. Unbeknown to them, Tommy's Girlfriend: Sue Snell, who wasn't meant to be at the prom, as she had sacrificed her place for Carrie, as a way of saying sorry, for all the times she was bullied and tormented by her friends: The Mortimer Snerds, all under the influence & Leadership of Chris Hargensen, who Sue knew was also at the Prom, but was also not meant to be there, due to her being kicked out, for her disobedience during detention, for when she and her friends were put in detention with the risk of their prom tickets being refused, for when they all tormented Carrie constantly all her school life, especially when Carrie had her first ever period, causing her to have a meltdown. When Carrie cried and reached out for help, Chris and everyone just laughed at her, before throwing Tampons and other things at her, as she cried and screamed, while Chris also recorded the incident on her phone, until Miss Desjardin broke up the incident.
As Tommy continued to guide Carrie towards the stage, Chris, and her boyfriend: Billy Nolan, watched on, as they prepared themselves to pull their biggest revenge prank on Carrie yet, just as Carrie and Tommy stood on the stage, receiving more cheering… But within the crowd, Sue was trying to get to Carrie & Tommy to warn them about Chris's prank, this alerted Chris and Billy that they needed to pull off their prank now… above where Carrie was standing on the stage, was a bucket of cold Pig's blood, that Chris and Billy had stolen from the local farm, as part of the prank, hanging above Carrie, tied to a rope for Chris to pull, but as they were about pull it, it got stuck and jammed… but as Sue almost got through the crowd to warn Carrie & Tommy, Miss Desjardin noticed her, thinking she was up to something against Carrie, before she began forcing Sue out of the Gym Hall, no matter how much Sue tried to warn the gym teacher about Chris…
As Miss Desjardin locked Sue out of the gym hall, this gave Chris and Billy their chance, as Chris yanked the rope hard, causing the bucket to turn over, as the blood fell… Down below, Carrie was smiling, feeling happy & accepted for the first time, as Tommy smiled for her… but those feeling were suddenly gone, as the blood hit and splashed all over Carrie, covering her head to toe, turning her once beautiful homemade prom dress from lovely Pearl Pink, to a horrible Blood Red… This caused the entire hall of students and teachers, who were clapping and cheering for Carrie & Tommy, to stop and begin gasping in horror from the site, as Carrie looked down her blood-soaked hands, then at the shocked audience, and then at Tommy, who was cross… but not with Carrie…
"What the Hell?!" Tommy shouted in anger.
Just then, Tina Blake (Chris's bestie), replayed the video that Chris had recorded of Carrie's Gym Class meltdown on her laptop, projecting the video onto the whiteboard, as the sounds of the girls chanting 'Plug it up', along with Carrie's cries and screams, blasted out of all the music speakers, as the crowd began looking… and laughing at Carrie… all including the rest of the Mortimer Snerds: Nicki & Lizzy (The Watson Twins), Heather Shyres, Rachel Spies, Anissa Chen, Jessica Upshaw, and many others… The only ones who weren't laughing at Carrie, were Sue, who watched on in horror and grief, Tommy, George Dawson, Erika Gogan, Miss Desjardin & Principal Morton, who were all horrified over what was happening…
"Freak! Freak!" Chris's voice called in a sinister call of accomplishment, as she & Billy quickly ran, but forgot to tie the bucket tight enough… as Chris and Billy ran down the stairs, the rope slipped loose, causing the bucket to fall, as Carrie continued to watch everyone laugh hysterically at her…
Tommy & Miss Desjardin tried to get to Carrie to comfort her… only for Carrie to push them both away, as they were hit by an unknown force, and sent to the ground, causing everyone to stop laughing, and gasp in shock from what Carrie just did… but then…
*CLANK! *
The falling bucket hit Carrie, banging her right on her head, which caused Carrie to fall lifelessly to the stage floor… causing some students to gasp and scream in horror, as well as the other's face to drop…
"Carrie…" Chris gasped in horror, now seeing that her revenge prank, had now become a matter of Life & Death, as Billy grabbed and yanked Chris away, but Tommy then noticed them, before quickly and aggressively get up and chase after them. Sue saw all, and then ran in another direction, hoping to catch up with Tommy, and stop Chris & Billy from escaping…
"Carrie! Carrie, come on, Stay with me!" Miss Desjardin stuttered so quickly, panicking as she tried everything she could to check and keep Carrie alive, while Principal Morton called for an ambulance, and the Police… Miss Desjardin checked Carrie's pulse and breathing, as well as her heartbeat, and even her head where she was hit… but Carrie's body just lay there, motionless with her eyes wide open, unable to move or respond… Miss Desjardin was now so desperate, she tried to even restart Carrie's heart… she applied the necessary pressure needed to restart Carrie's heart… but nothing worked… Miss Desjardin broke down, as tears of sorrow and loss poured and dribbled down her face, knowing there was nothing more she could do, as she sadly and gently closed Carrie's eyes, confirming the worst… Carrie White, was Dead…
(Meanwhile…)
Chris and Billy quickly made their way back to the school car park, hoping they'd be able to get away, after seeing their prank gone fatally wrong, resulting in Carrie's death, their chances of escape were dashed, as Billy's red 1971 Pontiac Lemans Muscle car, was blocked in by Sue's silver 2008 Volvo XC70 Gen.3 hatchback. Chris then took out her phone to text her dad to come and get her, when Billy noticed and knocked the phone of her hand, causing the touch screen to crack as it hit the ground…
"What are you doing?! You think this is a game?!" Billy said sternly and aggressively.
"Hey, I didn't drop that bucket on that freak's head!" Chris replied nervously but angrily also.
Before Chris and Billy could argue any further, Sue & Tommy appeared, before ramming them both into the side of Sue's car, before some of the teachers appeared, who also saw them try to escape, but Sue & Tommy followed them, seeing the two culprits responsible for the incident claiming Carrie White's life, and restrained them. Billy tried to put up more of a fight than Chris, but they were both overpowered and brought back into the school, until they were both in police custody…

As the students and teachers were all being sent home, driving in their cars, or being picked up by their parents or relatives, they also gave testimonies and witness statements regarding the incident, as the one happy night where they'd all be beginning a new chapter in their lives, had ended in disaster, resulting in the death of one of their fellow classmates and students, as they all either looked down or cried in grief, guilt, sorrow and despair, for all the things they had done to Carrie White over the years…
Over by the main entrance, sitting on one of the benches together, Sue Snell & Tommy Ross were both trying to comfort each other, but were also grieving Carrie… They had both given testimonies and witness statements, about what had happened, Sue handed in her phone, that had some evidence about Chris's prank, and even named everyone she was believed was involved, or at least knew about what Chris was up to, as well as those who had been involved with Carrie's bullying the worst over the years, resulting in not just Chris & Billy being arrested, but Tina, as she had the video of Carrie's gym class incident on her laptop, which was also confiscated for evidence, Nicki & Lizzy & Heather, Rachel, Anissa, Jessica and several others, also including Billy's two friends: Jackie Talbot and Kenny Garson, who helped Chris and Billy steal the blood for the prank… Sue was even willing to hand herself in, feeling she was just as responsible, but the police, seeing how upset and grieving she was, decided to let her off for the time being, but would be in contact once all evidence had been analyzed… Miss Desjardin & Principal Morton then walked over to Sue and Tommy, as they got up to her… when the Paramedics had arrived, they tried one last time to revive & save Carrie… but it was no use… her pulse and heartbeat never started again… Miss Desjardin & Principal Morton then both gave a slow and grieving shake of her head, confirming the worst, causing them all to break down, as Miss Desjardin hugged her two grieving students…
Everyone then turned, as the paramedics wheeled out a stretcher, carrying the body bag containing the body of the late Carrie White, as everyone continued to look down on themselves in shame, and cry, mourning the loss of the one student they all treated as an outcast, realizing how far their bullying had gone, as well as the result… the paramedics continued to wheel Carrie's stretcher, before loading it into the ambulance, before it took off for the hospital mortuary… as well as all the police van containing all the Mortimer Snerds, as it pulled off down to the police station where all the girls would be questioned and detained for what had happened… the Police had also contacted all the families of those involved with the incident, informing them… Police were also dispatched to Carlin Street, to Carrie's home to inform her mother: Margaret White, of her daughter's death… Little did any of them know, what would be coming, once they told Margaret of Carrie's death…
