"Last time on Total Drama Revenge of the Film Lot..." Chris began the recap, wearing a yellow trimmed purple suit with a big fancy purple hat to match, standing in front of a soundstage. "After Beck departed, we had some... unwelcome visitors! But in true action movie fashion, our players leapt in to save the day! Except that didn't quite play out, as our visitor beat up everyone that even dared to stop them! That was until they were taken out by Bonnie, as if anyone would expect her to take out that kind of visitor! After Thomas quit, Trixie was left completely defenseless and was promptly voted off right after her! Will our new resident sheep Trina be able to fend for herself, or will the Munchers finally fracture? Find out right here on Total, Drama, Reeeeeeevenge of the Film Lot!"
Intro Sequence:
The rock tune of I Wanna Be Famous started up, with high-grade film cameras popping out of different places. First out of the chimney of a trailer, then out the window of a soundstage, a toxic waste barrel after that, and finally a sewer manhole before a movie clapper came in and closed, letting the full shot begin.
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine, you guys are on my mind
The camera zoomed onto the film lot, passing by Chris in a dingy golf cart being pushed by Irene, Elroy, Oliver, and Ted, while Virgil was stuck to the cart itself. Going past several soundstages, the camera weaved between a few movie backdrops, before going up the large hill that led to the soap opera sets on top. The shot then dove down into a pool of water below where King was swimming inside. He saw Fang swim up behind him, so he turned around and punched him right in the face, sending the mutant shark flying up.
You asked me what I wanted to be, and I think the answer is plain to see
Flynn was above the water, now in a soundstage, commandeering a pirate ship floating on it while Delanie copied his behavior. Fang landed on their ship though, forcing both of them to dive off of it. Trixie had watched the two jump down, smirking at their misfortune.
I wanna beeeeeee famous!
The shot now panned out of this soundstage, passing up Kahlin running out of one of the dressing booths, with Sasquatchanakwa right behind him. Jack was looking over some outfits on a rack, although Lilac jumped out from behind some of the clothes, showing her teeth and scaring him.
I wanna live close to the sun
Beck was relaxing on a lounge chair on a beach set, his hands behind his head. He winked at the camera, while Flaky and Bonnie were ogling at him from behind a bush.
So pack your bags cuz I've already won
Panning to the right and into the makeup trailer confessional, Kylie was doing her makeup, applying lipstick at the moment. Trina walked inside, carrying a basket of different foundation. Kylie looked them over, then shooed Trina away.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day
Klaas and Vergil were in a boxing ring together, both of them glaring at each other. Vergil threw a punch, as did Klaas, with their fists colliding as they did so. Both of them fell back because of this, although Esteban was quick to run in and help them up.
Cuz I wanna beeeeeee famous!
Toby was in the kitchen with Chef, with Athena preparing some kind of soup. She seemed to be having trouble with it though, so Toby walked over to help her out. Maxine was watching this from a monitor in Chris's office, then pressed a button to try and blow up the kitchen.
Na na na nana, nananana, nananana
This blew up a different set though, where Thomas, Nanashi, and Jim were inside. A bear had taken the brunt of the explosion though, and it let out a roar at the three of them. Jim pointed at the other two and ran off with a guilty look, although Thomas ran away as well, leaving Nanashi to get chased by the bear.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
Diamond and Melissa were sitting at the outdoor theater on the benches when Jim and Thomas ran by. They didn't pay much mind to it though, but Freddy popped up from behind them both with a puppet mask on, startling them both. Diamond laughed, while Melissa rolled her eyes.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
A flash from the outdoor projector transitioned to the Aftermath studio, where Donna was sitting in between Geoff and Bridgette. Mittens the monkey hopped up from behind the couch, scowling at the aftermath hosts. This confused both, with the shot then zooming out to show the rest of the contestants sitting in the peanut gallery benches, whistling along with the last notes of the intro while the season logo was shown on a TV above.
After the intro, the episode began in the afternoon, where the contestants hadn't yet been served lunch. Chris had allowed them to sleep in after the events of last night, although it was more of an unspoken ordeal. "Man, can't believe it's already down to us. Thanks to Thomas for speeding things up for us!" Kahlin remarked to Melissa, with the two of them sitting in the folding chairs in front of the trailers together.
Trina walked out of the girls' trailer with her notepad, now wearing a gray hair ribbon to at least keep her new sheep ears down. The tail was easier to hide, but she was still miserable about the whole thing. "Yeah, just a few more days and we'll have our shot at the million! Thanks for sticking with us this whole time, always knew you were trustworthy." Melissa thanked Kahlin, giving him a warm smile.
Kahlin just shrugged, putting his hands behind his head. "Hey, it works out better for all of us if we just stick together. Haven't seen an alliance like ours make it all the way to the final five before, just goes to show how good our gameplay has been, so thanks to you too." Kahlin remarked, winking back at Melissa.
"Teamwork makes the dreamwork you know, at our track meets, even when it was individual competitions instead of the whole track team, we still just pepped each other up and stuck together and it paid off. Feels the same here." Melissa stated, thinking back to her girls back home again.
Trina then approached the two, rubbing one arm. "Good afternoon sir, ma'am." Trina greeted them politely.
Kahlin fully expected her to approach them, while Melissa looked her way curiously. "Hey Trina, how are you holding up after last night?" Melissa asked her, seeing the sheep ears poking out from under her hair.
Trina sighed, but then just put on her usual smile. "It could have been worse! It is quite the relief the process was cut off ma'am. I'm just so excited to be in the final 5!" Trina exclaimed.
Melissa winced at this, knowing that she was next. "Yeah, about that. You played well, but unfortunately the Muncher Strike Fource will be moving forward without you after today." Melissa apologized in advance.
"W-What do you mean?" Trina asked, feigning confusion.
Kahlin smirked, leaning back in his seat. "Oh you know. The original Munchers have stuck together since merge, and now you're the only non-Muncher left in the game. So you'll be the next one we vote off." Kahlin explained to her coyly.
"Oh... could you keep me around please? I'm sure I could provide some use to you!" Trina began to make a case for herself.
Kahlin rolled his eyes, yet Melissa was still willing to listen. "And what would that be?" Melissa asked curiously.
Trina gestured to the craft services tent, where Bonnie and Jim were currently at. "If you vote me off, it'll be two versus two in the final four. Then there is no guarantee you make it to the final 3 ma'am! But if the three of us vote together, then we shall simply vote out Jim and Bonnie and all make it to the finale!" Trina explained her plan.
Melissa rubbed her chin, considering it. "It does seem safer than going to the final four with that pair. Bonnie is still a bit gross and Jim is a loose cannon, maybe it's for the best they don't win. You two are pretty stand up people, I'd be more comfortable going to the end with you and Kahlin." Melissa looked at the positives of the plan.
"Do you think we could do that tonight?" Trina asked hopefully.
"Yeah sure. Been meaning to knock Jim down a peg myself!" Kahlin just accepted the offer.
Melissa nodded as well, making Trina beam with joy. "Thank you so much sir! You as well ma'am! You won't regret it!" Trina thanked them, then scampered off to leave them be.
-Confessional: Melissa-
Melissa looked just a little troubled, but still smiled at the camera nonetheless. "It's the final five now, and this is where the really tough votes come into play. Either we do the easy vote and just get rid of Trina, or we turn on Jim and Bonnie now. If we vote out Trina though, it just delays the tough decision... ugh. I came here to play a fair and honest game, not one of deception like this!"
-Confessional: Kahlin-
Kahlin had one leg over the other, smirking at the camera, holding up Trina's old notebook. "Yeahhh, Trina knows where she can stick her offer. She's desperate, and she doing an alright job of hiding it. Heck, Melissa bought it! But not me. I have my own gameplan, and Trina won't be getting what she wants tonight."
-End Confessional-
Over in the craft services tent, Jim and Bonnie were just hanging out together at one of the tables since Chef had yet to even start serving lunch. "Man, can't believe we've come this far." Bonnie commented, her arms crossed on the table as she leaned against it.
Jim chuckled, a little more laid back since it was just Bonnie in the room. "Yeah. Feels good that Trixie is gone too. I was worried that she'd try and pull some stunt in the final 5 to get Melissa and Kahlin to take us out." Jim agreed with her.
Bonnie giggled at this, shaking her head. "Are you kidding? Melissa hated her, no way Melissa ever sides with Trixie. Biggest fair player in the game versus the biggest trickster. Feels a little funny that we took out the big season villain at final 6. Usually they go further." Bonnie remarked, pondering Trixie's placement in the game.
Jim nodded, smiling at Bonnie. "Well not with us around. Usually an alliance like ours cannibalizes on itself long before this. We just have to vote out Trina tonight, then we pull Melissa to our side and get rid of Kahlin. We'll have the finale guaranteed." Jim laid out their gameplan to Bonnie.
Bonnie nodded, liking the plan. "Sounds good to me. Thanks for still wanting to take me to the end. I honestly thought you were just using me as a vote for a while there." Bonnie thanked him.
Jim scoffed, not thinking much of her thanks. "Pff, you're a friend. Guess I have to deal with that. But you're easier to beat in the end than anyone else here. So don't go thinking I've gone soft. I haven't." Jim told her firmly.
"Uh huh. I've never been proud of who I am honestly. Got lucky and had some apartheid babies for grandparents. Feels like I've never earned anything in my life because of it. But getting this far? Befriending you? Opening up more, and winning immunity last night, I feel like I'm finally earning my place." Bonnie admitted.
Jim raised an eyebrow at the apartheid mention, although he wasn't upset with her. "Yeesh. You didn't have to tell me that. But, thanks I guess. I've seen you grow from the creep you were at the start here. You're still you, but I don't think the others really know you like I do. You already know I was tight on cash before coming here, but I don't hate you for being lucky. Unlike Beck, you're trying. We'll get to the finale together, I promise that." Jim commended Bonnie.
"A promise from the mighty Jim, heh. Means a lot." Bonnie chuckled, feeling very warm inside just hearing him say all this.
Trina then walked into the craft services tent, and the atmosphere quickly turned to one of cold calculation. "Good afternoon sir! Ma'am!" Trina greeted them.
"What do you want Smellwether." Jim asked her bluntly.
"I just have an offer for you both, and you should definitely consider it! Sir Jim, do you feel comfortable going into the final four with your current alliance?" Trina began to explain her proposal.
Jim nodded right away, slamming a fist into his palm. "Yup. I can beat Kahlin and Melissa any day for immunity." Jim answered confidently.
"What about you Bonnie? If Jim wins after I'm gone, will you feel comfortable with Melissa and Kahlin going for you?" Trina asked her now.
"Jim said we'll be able to get Melissa on our side. So I'm good." Bonnie replied, not putting any energy into responding to Trina.
Trina looked a little worried hearing how confident they were, but nonetheless kept going. "Well sir and ma'am, what if instead of voting against them at final four, I join you two and get Kahlin out tonight! Then the three of us can make it to the finale as long as Melissa doesn't win, which you said yourself won't happen!" Trina proposed.
"It does sound easier..." Bonnie whispered to Jim.
Jim scratched his chin, thinking about the offer. "Seems tempting. But you're desperate. You need us more than we need you. Don't forget that sheepy. In fact, can you baa? Prove you're a loyal sheep who will vote how we say like you did with Delanie." Jim ordered with a smirk.
Trina raised an eyebrow, embarassed at such a request. "Baa? There sir." Trina replied, avoiding looking at him now.
"Like you mean it. How do I know you won't just turn tail and vote against us?" Jim asked coyly.
Trina sighed, swallowing her pride and just doing it. "Baaaa! T-There sir." Trina bleated like a sheep, humiliated at this point.
"Alright, we'll take your offer seriously now. Smell ya later Smellwether." Jim told her, chuckling afterward as he beckoned for her to go away.
Trina let out a sigh of relief that it was good enough, now beginning to walk away. That was when the loudspeakers came on, with Chris's voice blaring through. "Goooood afternoon! We have just the most fantastical journey up ahead! Tons of time to get it done and there's so little to do, so make your way there when you're ready! Err. Strike that, reverse it, we don't have much time and there's a lot to do, so hurry up now to Soundstage 71!" Chris announced, then promptly turned off the loudspeaker.
Bonnie got up, rubbing her stomach a little. "Dang, no breakfast and no lunch. Guess Chris wants us in pain for this one." Bonnie commented as she and Jim now walked past Trina to leave the tent.
Trina followed them, putting a smile back on her face. "Perhaps the challenge involves food then! Best of luck to you two, sir and ma'am!" Trina told them, then left the tent as well with them.
-Confessional: Jim-
Jim scratched his chin, thinking things over. "I've been thinking more and more about the approach I want to take here. Kahlin is someone I still haven't fully gotten a read on. He's close with Melissa, yet he's saved me multiple times. 'If anyone is gonna take you out of the game, it's me', god, the fact he's still here just keeps me on edge. Trina's offer is tempting and I can definitely beat her for immunity, but will putting her in front of a jury be smart? Bonnie is obvious, but picking between Trina, Melissa, and Kahlin for that third spot is tough."
-Confessional: Trina-
Trina had a smirk on her face, with her hands on her hips. "They may think I'm on my way out of the game, but I will not bow out so easily! As long as those duos don't vote together tonight, then I'll still be here. I already know exactly who I want in the finale with me, Bonnie and Melissa. Bonnie because if I don't win, someone like her would be an acceptable winner, just as long as one of those jocks doesn't win. Melissa is the easiest of the three to beat, as she hasn't been as crafty as Kahlin and Jim have been. It just depends on who wins immunity today that decides my next move."
-End Confessionals-
Over in front of Soundstage 71 now, the final five had gathered in front of the entrance where Chris was waiting for them in his purple suit and top hat, holding a fancy cane while Chef stood behind him with a green wig and orange face paint on. "Come one, come all! You are our golden final 5! The end is near, but don't let go of your fear, or else you may just disappear!" Chris greeted the contestants.
Kahlin snickered, crossing his arms. "Y'know, Willy Wonka is probably the only guy on par with hurting kids and hosting on Chris's level. I like this one already!" Kahlin joked.
Chef pulled out 5 golden tickets from his pocket, then handed one to each of the contestants. "Today's movie challenge is musical dramas, with a personal favorite of mine we'll be going through! Those tickets of yours are your way into the factory behind me, and they double as a pass out if you need it! The last person standing wins immunity, just be very careful!" Chris explained the challenge, with Chef then walking over and opening the door to the soundstage.
"So this is why we didn't get to eat breakfast or lunch... we're gonna have a ton of candy." Bonnie guessed, pocketing her golden ticket.
Trina walked inside first, and the four Munchers all exchanged looks. "We're all sticking to the plan right? I want to make sure as a team we're on the same page." Melissa asked the other three.
Jim nodded, crossing his arms. "Yeah. No doubt 'bout it." Jim answered quickly.
"As long as it's not me I'm down with the plan." Bonnie agreed, giving Melissa a dull look.
Kahlin smirked, then patted Melissa on the back. "See? We're all good." Kahlin assured Melissa, then walked ahead.
"It's less about us being a team at this point, and more just mutual interest. We all wanna get to the end, don't really need to rock the boat if we've already got a sweet deal." Bonnie added, then also walked ahead.
Hearing it from Bonnie was a bit more reassuring, so Melissa followed Bonnie into the soundstage, with Jim being the last one to walk in. "Awesome, the Muncher Strike Fource stays strong to the end!" Melissa declared as she walked in.
-Confessional: Bonnie-
Bonnie rested her head on both palms, giving the camera a blank stare. "I'm sure everyone is putting a lot of thought into whether they want to double or cross or not, and who they're going to go for tonight. But why should I get bent out of shape over it like them? I'll just keep my head down, and then I get to the final four and I'll play my hand when I get there. If I start making myself look like a threat now, it'd only take a few votes to get rid of me, not good."
-End Confessional-
Inside the soundstage was a massive field of prop candy that was the height of the teens themselves, with one big brown river running through the whole room connected to a brown waterfall in the corner. "Welcome to the chocolate room!" Chris greeted the contestants excitedly, standing on the walkway in the field that led down to a yellow bridge across the river to the other part of the soundstage.
"Did... did you actually fill this river with chocolate? That seems a bit wasteful." Melissa asked, a bit amazed by the detail and spectacle of the candy covered room.
Chris shook his head, gesturing to the brown river with one hand. "Nope! It's just water with brown coloring! Do you know how bad it'd smell if we actually used chocolate? That's showbiz, as long as it looks the part it goes on the set!" Chris answered proudly.
Bonnie sighed, eyeing a lollipop taller than her. "Oh. So I'm guessing all of these are props too then. Bummer, I was hoping we would get something to eat." Bonnie grumbled, one hand on her stomach.
Chris nodded, then held up one finger. "You'd be correct! Although that's where the challenge in this room lies! Some of these 'props' are in fact real candy! You just have to find one piece of actual candy and bring it to the exit to move on to the next room! You have 5 minutes!" Chris announced what the first challenge was, then walked away to head across the bridge.
"Wait we're just going right into it? Alright then, let's split up team!" Kahlin exclaimed, darting off to his right to check all the prop candy canes.
"Chris! Sir! Does it matter what size the candy is?" Trina called to Chris as she watched the Munchers disperse worriedly.
Chris shook his head, glancing back at her. "Nope! As long as it's real, it passes!" Chris clarified as he kept walking. Trina nodded at this, then ran to pass him and go across the bridge to try and avoid searching the same place as the Munchers.
-Confessional: Trina-
Trina's tail shook out a little with worry, with her holding her hands together on her lap. "I do believe I did as well as I could to sway both sides into acting against each other, it would be foolish to not try and win immunity! If they don't follow through, then I'll need to win for sure!"
-End Confessional-
Bonnie had crossed the bridge as well, running up to a licorice tree with giant gummy bears hanging from it. "Wow... it looks so edible. Realllly wish it was." Bonnie mumbled as she approached it.
The gummy bears were about 8 feet off the ground, so Bonnie wasn't able to just naturally grab them. She walked over to one of the prop pixie stick tubes and pulled it out of the ground, squeezing it briefly to check if it was real. "Just empty containers... man Chris is cheap." Bonnie commented as she carried the four foot tall pixie stick.
Once she was back at the tree, Bonnie swing the pixie stick at one of the gummy bears, knocking it down from the licorice branch. Bonnie picked it up and bit into it, but instead winced as she got a mouthful of plastic. "Eugh... just a prop. I'm gonna have to test all of these aren't I..." Bonnie complained, unable to tell just by looking if any of these gummy bears were actually edible.
Trina walked over to her as Bonnie knocked down another gummy bear and bit down on it, yet again getting plastic. "Hello ma'am, did you need some help looking?" Trina greeted Bonnie, looking up at the gummy bears.
"You're gonna help? Huh. Didn't think you'd do that. But yeah, just checking all these gummy bears to see if one is real." Bonnie replied, pointing up at the licorice tree with her stick.
Trina nodded, jogging over and pulling a pixie stick out as well to try and help Bonnie. "Of course I would ma'am! Out of everyone here, I feel the closest with you. We're both the underdogs after all, us little guys gotta stick together!" Trina reasoned, then knocked down one of the gummy bears.
Bonnie picked it up and bit down, again getting plastic. "Prop again. Rats. But underdogs? What makes you say that?" Bonnie asked, playing along.
Trina deadpanned at Bonnie, then gestured to the other side of the bridge. "Just look at the other three ma'am. They're strong, fast, outgoing, they've got everything that we could want to be! I don't know where you'll be going once the final four rolls around, but if we both make it there, we should stick together to make sure one of us wins yeah?" Trina proposed.
Bonnie heard her out, looking at the ground for a moment while Trina went and got her another gummy bear. "You do have a point, but Jim has been pretty good to me, so I think if we all make it to final four, we could just go to the end with him? I know you wanted to work with us earlier and he was a bit standoffish, but he's really cool once you get to know him like I have." Bonnie suggested, her gaze across the bridge settling on Jim.
Trina sighed, then looked a Bonnie with a pitiful look. "You're still really cool with him ma'am? Even after he voted off Flaky? Wow, guess he really is stand up about everything, I suppose we can take him to the end with us." Trina commented, agreeing to Bonnie's suggestion.
This made Bonnie paused though, her gaze turning to a glare. "Wait, what. You knew about this and I didn't? You've gotta be kidding..." Bonnie said, trying to have some doubt.
Trina shook her head, now gasping. "Wait, he didn't tell you ma'am? I'm so sorry... when we partnered up in the go-kart challenge, he was talking about feeling left out with how close you and Flaky were. Maybe he was just jealous? I really thought he'd have at least told you with how tight you two have been." Trina explained, getting another gummy bear prop down.
Bonnie took the gummy bear and sunk her teeth into it, this time ripping out an actual chunk of gelatin. "Hmph. You take this. I've got business to take care of." Bonnie told Trina coldly, handing the gummy bear to her.
Trina took it, now using it to cover the smirk forming on her face. "Yes ma'am! Best of luck to you!" Trina told her, then hurried off to the end of the soundstage where Chris was waiting.
Chris watched Trina carry the gummy bear that was just as tall as she was, tapping it with his cane once she set it down in front of him. "Aaaand halfway through the clock, Trina is the first to move on to the next room!" Chris announced.
-Confessional: Bonnie-
Bonnie had her arms crossed, the same usual frown on her face, but her eyes for once had anger instead of boredom. "I can't believe it. Right after Jim goes and says that he's proud of me and that we're friends and even making a promise. I should have known that no one wanted to actually be friends with me. Trina is nice to everyone so she doesn't count, but I'm glad she told me. I never knew who flipped on the Flaky vote, but it makes total sense now..."
-End Confessional-
Back on the front end of the soundstage, Melissa had been cracking open giant jawbreakers to see which ones were props, and had just come across a real one after going through 11 of them. "Finally! I was worried these were all fake!" Melissa exclaimed, holding up the basketball sized jawbreaker.
Kahlin had found his as well, being a chunk of taffy in the shape of flower. "That makes two of us! Really thought all these taffy flowers were just flimsy props but I got one!" Kahlin remarked, then taking a small bite of the taffy flower just to be sure.
The two of them then took off to bring their candies to Chris, passing by Bonnie on the bridge. "We've only got like a minute and a half left Bonnie, you better get looking!" Melissa advised as she ran by.
"Oh I know what I'm doing." Bonnie replied, staying on the bridge.
Kahlin already knew what was up, so he didn't question it and just kept running. "Man she really did plan this far ahead..." Kahlin mumbled to himself after seeing Bonnie's upset demeanor.
Chris was waiting with the door open as Kahlin and Melissa arrived at the other end of the soundstage, carrying their candies. "Kahlin and Melissa move on to the next room as well! Only one minute left!" Chris announced, eagerly waiting to see if Jim and Bonnie would finish.
Melissa looked back, seeing Bonnie still just standing. "I guess she doesn't think she'll be at risk tonight? I wasn't going to vote for her ever despite how gross she is, but this isn't really sportsmanlike." Melissa commented as she walked out of the soundstage.
Jim finally got his treat, being a tall mushroom covered in frosting. It had only taken him this long due to how tough it was to actually unroot the prop. "Part of it is edible, so it's gotta count!" Jim let out as he yanked it out of the floor.
Jim then ran for the bridge so he could cross it and bring it to Chris, but Bonnie stood in his way. "Oh hey, you found something just in time." Bonnie said to him.
Jim raised an eyebrow, pointing with one hand at Bonnie's empty hands. "And you didn't get anything. Just bad luck? Well, I'll win immunity for us, you were already fine anyway." Jim told her hurriedly, moving to go past her now.
"Convenient for you to be safe huh. It's always just if you stay in the game. Try this on for size." Bonnie chastised him, then quickly shoving him off the bridge as he went to pass by her.
Jim grabbed Bonnie's arm as he fell to try and catch himself, but he just ended up pulling her down with him into the chocolate river. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" Jim let out after he surfaced, his mushroom now floating away from him.
Bonnie surfaced right after, glaring at him. "You know what you did. You voted off Flaky, pretended not to, and have just been stringing me along this whole time. You don't need immunity tonight at all." Bonnie confronted him bitterly.
"What!? Where the heck did this come from!?" Jim yelled, both confused and angry now.
Chris walked over to the pair though, leaning over the bridge as he looked down at the two of them. "Ooh, hate to interrupt, but your time is up! And you've fallen into the chocolate river as well! Chef! Flush them out of the challenge pronto!" Chris called to Chef, who was standing by a control panel near the soundstage exit.
Chef pressed a button, which started a loud whir beneath the bridge. "Oh come on! I already had my sweet! You suck BonniiiiiEEEEEE!" Jim yelled as the chocolate river began to drain, pulling him and Bonnie down into the pipes beneath the soundstage.
"You deserve thiiiiIIIIS!" Bonnie let out as she too was pulled down into the drain.
-Confessional: Jim-
Jim was now covered in the brown water, glaring at the camera. "I can't believe Bonnie did that! I don't know how she even found out that I was the one that voted Flaky! She's been gone for several days now, who cares!? All that matters is winning anyway, and I know Bonnie isn't going to hand a million dollars to anyone, not even Flaky!"
-End Confessional-
In Soundstage 72, Trina, Melissa, and Kahlin were led in by Chef, where they were greeted by Chris standing above them on a balcony that wrapped around the soundstage, which was decorated to look like a big factory. In the center was a machine where sugar was being poured into, with a big dispenser on one end that spitting out multicolored gobstopper props onto a conveyor belt. "Welcome to the mixing room!" Chris greeted the three that had made it here, smirking down at them.
There was whizzing and whirring from other machines on a smaller scale also making taffy and gum, stretching it out neatly before compacting it into strips. "Wow... are these all props too?" Melissa asked in amazement, walking up to one of the conveyor belts.
Chris nodded his head, holding up a remote. "Yep! Nothing is actually being made, the sugar is just being cycled without making anything, as are all of the prop candy! That metal hunk of a machine is just a facade! So, don't eat anything!" Chris answered, disappointing Melissa and Trina.
"Seeing all this fake candy when we haven't eaten a thing is just rough sir. How do we move on from here?" Trina asked, averting her eyes from the candy.
Chris walked along the interior balcony and over to a door on his level, which happened to be the other exit to the soundstage. "You'll have to dismantle the machinery here and climb up to the balcony here! Careful though, these may be props but they're still machines! Or don't be careful, you getting hurt is also acceptable! Once again, you have 5 minutes starting now!" Chris announced how to get through this room, standing in front of the door now.
Trina scampered off to the taffy machine since it was the smallest in the room, while Kahlin and Melissa ran over to the conveyor belt together. "Only one of us can win immunity, so if we just work together in this room and stop Trina from winning, we're good." Kahlin told Melissa as he planted one foot on one of the support beams holding up the conveyor belt and began to pull at the belt itself.
Melissa joined in helping him rip off the belt, knocking off all the gobstopper props that came along the conveyor. "I think you should have it. Jim doesn't like you as much so he might flip on us if you don't win. Just to be safe it'd be better if you got it." Melissa suggested, thinking of how many times Jim and Kahlin had fought.
Kahlin nodded, then gestured to the balcony. "Good thinking. We'll use the conveyor belt as a ladder since the grooves are rough enough and the little dividers can work as steps. Once I start climbing, you slow down Trina!" Kahlin told her as they continued to pull the conveyor belt further away from the pulleys that were making it move.
-Confessional: Melissa-
Melissa rested one arm on the vanity, smirking at the camera. "I know I haven't been as strategically vicious as the others, but that doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about where everyone stands! I know Jim just flips on people that he doesn't like, like look at the Klaas vote, that was definitely him, and I still haven't forgotten about how he got rid of Nanashi and worked with Vergil to take out Flaky the first time. He's a tricky one, and I need Kahlin to be safe tonight to ensure he follows through!"
-End Confessional-
Trina had been looking over the machine just endlessly mixing around the taffy, trying to think of what she could use to help herself up. The balcony was about 12 feet above her, so she'd need something tall to make her way up there. "Maybe I could push myself up with the mixers?" Trina considered, reaching to stick her hand in and try to stop the mixer.
When she did this though, the mixer pulled her in by the arm and began to spin her around in a circle. She screamed as she was battered by the mixer, now trying to push herself out of it. "AAAAAGH! MAKE IT STOP!" Trina screamed in pain.
Melissa looked over worriedly, wanting to help, but one glance from Kahlin was all she needed to just keep focusing on pulling the conveyor belt, now almost off the pulley. "You can help her after we get immunity, kinda on a time crunch right now. It'd be like throwing the ball to anyone but the pitcher if you did that." Kahlin told her, somewhat glad hearing Trina get a bit more comeuppance.
Trina was soon sent flying out of the mixer, landing in a heap next to the taffy machine and groaning as she did so. "Ow... at least that's over..." Trina groaned, then standing up and fixing her back.
"Two minutes left everyone!" Chris announced, still waiting for anyone to actually climb onto the balcony.
Kahlin and Melissa had finally pried the conveyor belt off, now, yanking 30 feet worth of rubbery track from the pulley. "Alright! Now we just gotta get this over to the balcony and toss it over, then I can climb up!" Kahlin exclaimed.
"Right on! Go Munchers!" Melissa cheered as the time of them now carried one end of the conveyor belt, bringing it over to the wall that lined up with the door.
With the taffy machine as a non-starter, Trina sprinted over to the gum machine, which was still spewing and stretching out the gum on one end and chopping it into strips on the other. "Maybe I can pull myself up with the gum rope? If it's just prop gum it should hold!" Trina realized as she looked over the machine.
Trina grabbed one rope of the gum and yanked it away before it could be chopped into a strip. She continued to pull it away, all the way until the pink gum rope she had was 20 feet long. "Perfect! This'll do it!" she exclaimed, now hurrying over to the balcony.
Kahlin and Melissa were already there, with them having tossed the belt onto the balcony ledge. "I'll hold it in place, just climb Kahlin!" Melissa shouted, holding the bottom end of the belt to keep it straight.
Kahlin nodded and began to climb the belt, using what normally divided the prop candy as footholds. "On it! I'll be up there quicker than shortstop to third base!" Kahlin declared as he climbed.
"One minute left!" Chris announced the time again, acting as though he was about to close the door.
Kahlin quickly scaled the conveyor belt, climbing over the balcony railing and reaching the door, pleasing Melissa and worrying Trina. "Aaand Kahlin advances! But will anyone else even stand to compete against him?" Chris narrated, peering over the balcony at the two girls still there.
Trina swung the gum rope prop over her head for a moment, then threw it up at the balcony and let the other end wrap around the bar. "Yes! I'll be up there soon sir!" Trina called to Chris as she then gripped the rope and began to climb it.
Now that Kahlin was up, Melissa now turned to Trina and grabbed the rope as she began to climb up. "Sorry Trina, but Kahlin needs immunity today! Jim might go for him if he doesn't win!" Melissa apologized, then yanked the rope off of the balcony bar.
Trina fell down to the floor as soon as she did this, rubbing her back again. "Come on ma'am! I worked hard to get here, I should get a shot at this too, how do I know you won't go back on our idea?" Trina asked back sharply.
Melissa still hold the rope, stopping Trina from using it to climb. "When have I ever lied to you? I'm a woman of my word! But Jim isn't, and if Kahlin isn't safe, then our idea falls apart! Just give it up Trina!" Melissa reasoned.
There wasn't even any time for Trina to give up though, as the time then ran out and Chris blew his air horn. "Game over! After just two rooms, Kahlin wins immunity!" Chris declared Kahlin the winner, holding up his arm.
Trina grumbled to herself, while Melissa pumped a fist in the air. "Awesome! We've got our bases covered now!" Kahlin exclaimed to Melissa, looking over the balcony.
Melissa nodded, then patted Trina on the back. "Don't worry, we're gonna be fine now that Kahlin is safe. Thanks for being a good sport about it." Melissa thanked Trina, then walked back to the front entrance of the soundstage.
Chris watched the two head to the front entrance with Chef, gesturing to Kahlin as they did so. "Kahlin is safe, while Bonnie and Jim are being pulled out of the drain right now, but they'll be ready for tonight's ceremony, so see you all then, good day sirs!" Chris informed them, then walked out the balcony door with Kahlin.
-Confessional: Kahlin-
Kahlin chuckled, crossing his arms. "Now that I got immunity today, I can safely say I'll win this season. Getting past this ceremony untouched was the best case scenario for me and I've got it! Special thanks to Melissa for bunting so I could steal 2nd base from Trina there!"
-End Confessional-
Grandiose music played after the confessional, showing a highlight reel of all of Chris's best moments and expressions from throughout the series. Fireworks could be heard, and the reel panned out to show a giant Gilded Chris in the center of it all. Fireworks went off behind the statue and the music got louder, signaling that the award ceremony was about to start.
The final five were seated in the stands, some looking worse for wear than others. Bonnie and Jim's clothes were still a bit brown from being soaked by the chocolate river, Trina had a bunch of taffy stuck to her hair and clothes, while Kahlin and Melissa sat together just fine. Chris was still wearing his purple suit and top hat when he walked on stage, although Chef had wiped off his ridiculous makeup and was back in his normal clothes. "You've bid the tasteless world adieu to chew the goo awaiting you! But now, the dullness returns and someone's chance of winning burns!" Chris greeted the contestants, still playing up the whimsy a little.
"I know exactly who that's going to be!" Kahlin remarked, smirking as he looked over at Jim and Bonnie arguing.
Bonnie had her arms crossed, for once not sitting with Jim. "You're safe, you don't need to say anything else." Bonnie told Kahlin bitterly.
Chris chuckled seeing that the Munchers clearly weren't close anymore. "Wow I missed a lot! We'll see how this all is reflected in the votes then! Your voting devices are ready, so put that swirling emotion into tonight's choice!" Chris directed everyone.
Bonnie angrily tapped in her vote, although Jim just rolled his eyes at Bonnie's glare as he cast his vote. Kahlin and Melissa voted together, and Trina tapped in her vote after one last bit of consideration. "Kahlin was safe tonight, but who will join him in the final four? That's what we're here to find out! And it seems the votes have now been cast!" Chris announced.
Chris took off his top hat and grabbed his own tablet, looking at the result of the votes while Chef brought out the tray of four Gilded Chris awards. "You all know the drill, so let's see who the awards fall to this fateful night!" Chris declared, grabbing the first award and prepared to toss it.
"The Gilded Chrises go to..."

"Kahlin."
Kahlin caught his first since he was safe, resting his arms on his knees afterward as he awaited to see if this vote would play out how he expected.

"Bonnie."
Bonnie was surprised she was safe already, but she wasn't complaining as she caught her award and gripped it tightly.

"And Trina!"
Trina got a smug grin as she was tossed her award, basking in the tension that instantly built with the realization a Muncher was geting booted tonight.
Jim crossed his arms and glared at Melissa, with Melissa doing the same at him. "I knew I couldn't trust your vote after all you've done, seems I was right! Melissa commented.
"So much for being a fair player for you as well bloke!" Jim shot back, no longer pretending to be on good terms with her.
"Melissa's got a point, trusting you is anyone's first mistake." Bonnie remarked with a smirk.
Jim rolled his eyes, just looking forward now, while Melissa rested her head on one palm and waited with hope to hear her name next. "Melissa, Jim, there's been turmoil between since day 1 it feels like! But now one of you is going home at long last! And that someone is..."

"Melissa!"
Melissa gasped as Jim was tossed his statue, which he snatched out of the air triumphantly. "What the heck!? Bonnie and I voted for Jim, which means... YOU TRAITORS!" Melissa yelled at Trina and Kahlin, both of whom were smirking at how this played out.
"I thought the plan was voting off Trina, but you betrayed that too! Don't even start calling out traitors!" Jim taunted Melissa.
Kahlin chuckled, flipping his award in his hand. "Nah, that's not why. It'd just be stupid to put someone like you in front of the jury. Nothing personal." Kahlin told Melissa, feeling slightly guilty for once.
"Sorry ma'am, but I just had to for the reason Kahlin provided. I didn't appreciate being dropped onto my back either. Guess being an uber popular and well respected jock didn't work in your favor this time." Trina explained her decision, relishing in Melissa's shock.
Melissa got up from her seat, looking with disgust at the four now left in the game. "Y'know what? You're right, unlike the rest of you, people actually respected how I played the game with honor and good sportsmanship! If stooping to your levels is what I needed to do to win, then I'd rather lose here with my head held high!" Melissa insulted them, then marched off to head to the Walk of Shame.
-Confessional: Trina-
Trina snickered, leaning back in her seat and for once flaunting her sheep features. "I guess I really am the wolf in sheep's clothing here! Melissa has thought I was the desperate and meek secretary who would vote however she was asked if it meant she was safe this whole time! Jocks always look down on us little guys, but in a bit she can look up at me with my million dollars!"
-Confessional: Jim-
Jim had his arms crossed, staring at the camera seriously. "I'm not wasting a vote on Bonnie like she did on me. And once again Kahlin had the option to just take me out but didn't. I really can't tell what he's up to with that. But Melissa? I can beat Trina in a jury vote any day, but I just know a bitter jury sides with Melissa any day. Especially with Klaas there..."
-End Confessionals-
Melissa walked down the red carpet by herself, her arms crossed as she kept her chin up. "Just a lap away from the end... can't believe it had to be like this!" Melissa complained to herself.
Melissa then stopped in front of the Lame-O-Sine after opening the door, taking a deep sigh as she looked back at the award ceremony stage. "But this is a game too, and Kahlin played me there. The immunity, the vote, everything. You better give them hell now or I'll never let you live it down." Melissa spoke to Kahlin despite her not being able to hear her.
Melissa then got in the limo and closed the door, with it speeding off as Chris now walked up to the empty street. "And there goes our last noble player! Surprised she came this far, but can't say she didn't put up a good fight!" Chris gave his take on Melissa's exit.
Chris continued to look at the camera, adjusting his purple top hat ever so briefly. "But now we're down to four! Will this rift in Jim and Bonnie's friendship destroy their chances of winning? What's Kahlin's next play from here? And can Trina fly under the radar for just a bit longer? That's for you to find out next time on Total, Drama, Reeeeeevenge of the Film Lot!"

Author's Note:
And with that we're down to four! Melissa is the kind of player I think every fic should have. Hard working, honorable, fair, yet knows how to keep her head in the game despite all that. I enjoyed using her as a premerge protagonist, and being the only thing stopping the Muncher Strike Fource from imploding. But now that time has ended, so thank you to Thunderstrike16 for sending her in! I hope you all enjoyed this episode, and I'll see you next time!
