In the middle of her anguished cries, Beverly Holiday didn't hear the echo of the clacking of heels approaching the park bench she sat on. A deep, heavy sigh made her gasp and raise—her tear-stained face— to turn and look at the man dressed in green.

"I've finally found you," he remarked calmly, taking a seat beside her.

"How do you...?" Beverly whispered, taken aback by the unexpected sight of Agent Six, known for his distant demeanor, reaching out to her.

"Observation is a skill," Six replied cryptically, a hint of a smile graced his lips. "Your sister has been worried sick about you. Rex has been looking for hours."

Beverly's eyes filled with tears as she spoke, her voice trembling with emotion, "I didn't meant to... escape. It's just that she's constantly testing me, terrified that I will revert back to being an EVO. It's suffocating, and I can't handle it anymore."

"She's suffered for years, contemplating the idea that she might never find a cure." Six stated, his voice gentle yet firm. After living with Rex for several years and witnessing many escapades, a much calmer approach seemed logical. "We all carry our past ," Six continued, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "Sometimes, it leads to actions that may seem harsh but truly have no ill intentions behind them. Just because your sister is much older than you, doesn't mean that she doesn't wish that she could also escape. "

"But what if we can't move past this?" Beverly's voice trembled again but with fear.

"Time has a way of healing wounds," Six replied, as if talking to himself at the same time. "Your sister's love for you will help her to overcome the fear of losing you again."

The voice of Rex through his earpiece communicator disturbed the peace and tranquility of the moment as the man stared at a group of birds taking off because of the teenager's frantic voice at the other end of the line. The sunset was about to disappear into the night.

"Hey dude, have you found Beverly yet!? The sun is going down and it could be dangerous!"

Turning to look at the girl, Six remained calm, silently inviting her to decide if she needed more time for herself or if she wanted to be found already. As Beverly shook her head, Six nodded and, tapping on his earpiece communicator, said, "I just spotted her. Go back to Providence and report to Holiday. I'll bring her back in ten minutes."

He was perfectly fine sitting there in complete silence, but there was no way he would leave her alone. Even if that meant invading her personal space as he did with her privacy already by intervening in a heated argument between the two sisters.

Well, in between the woman he loved and her sister.

"What if I'm not 'normal' anymore?"

"In this world, no one can be considered 'normal' anymore. You and your sister have overcome so much even to be considered normal by society's standards."

Before she could even begin to explain herself, Six interjected, "However, I am certain that the reversing effect of your EVO state is permanent."

And if not, he would attempt to save her again. As many times as if it were necessary.

"Let's go back with her."

Leaning against one of the corners of the laboratory alongside Rex while watching the two sisters holding each other, Six was reminded of One's words and the hero he was truly meant to be.

Not by constantly appearing on the news with the teenager as the savior of the world and beyond, but by being reliable and lending a helping hand to those in need.
