1 week after Understanding Luz
We see Luz was working on a project when Willow and Gus came down the elevator "Mam, Miss Park and Mr. Porter are here to see you" The A.I Said to luz making Gus and Willow jump "thanks Jarvis" Luz said while removing her protective gear and putting on a normal shirt " whatcha working on?" Gus asked as he tried to peer around Luz "Liquid nitrogen and Liquid oxygen" Luz responded before realizing that they have no clue what it is "before you ask, nitrogen and oxygen are normally a gas and are invisible to us but when you compress the gas you get a liquid. However different gases have various levels of coldness to them but they will always be extremely-" Luz explained but stopped when she seen Gus about to put his finger into the liquid nitrogen tank when she ran over to stop him "trust me Gus you would've regretted that, not only from me but from you not being able to have any feeling in your fingers" Luz scolded a now scared Gus
"Here, I'll show you what happens to meat when it is exposed to liquid nitrogen" Luz said as she let go of Gus's hand and went to grab a hotdog from the fridge and walked back "now picture this as your finger" Luz said as she showed the hotdog to willow and Gus before submerging half of it in the liquid nitrogen for a few seconds before pulling it out "It won't freeze you arm off instantly but it can lead to burns, blistering, and severe frostbite, which can occur within seconds of you putting a hand or limb in" Luz explained as she gestured to the hotdog before putting it back in the fridge before turning to Willow and Gus "so what do you need me for?" Luz asked.
"We wanted to see the lab you built and it's impressive though Amity couldn't make it" Willow said as Gus started to look around but not leaving the sight of Luz and Willow "ok Willow and Gus, I'll give you a tour" Luz said as she started walking with Willow and Gus following her as she started the tour. After the tour Willow and Gus left and Luz continued to work on the liquid nitrogen project.
The next day
Luz was at school when a voice came over the speakers "Attention Hexide students. This is your principal speaking. This year, I have the privilege to bestow our highest grom honor to... Luz Noceda Stark! Our Grom queen!" Principal bump announced to Luz's shock (she told Jarvis to do some research into boiling Ilse equivalent of holidays along with as much info possible to go with it). Luz quickly pulls out her holo tablet and scrolls through all her suits to determine which would be best to defeat grom eventually landing on the mark 50 with the mark 48 (second hulk Buster) as a backup.
After school
Willow, Gus and Amity find Luz in her lab as she is preparing something while the mark 50 is slowly assembling around her and the mark 48 in standby mode "So, what ya working on?" Gus asked as he walked towards Luz with followed by Willow and Amity "just putting the final touches on the cryo bombs before readying them to be used" Luz said as she finished tinkering with a cryo bomb before using some of the nanites to put the bomb away so Jarvis can get them ready "By the way, why do we need to were these bands?" Amity asked gesturing to the metallic band that was wrapped around her wrist "well to put it in easy to understand terms, the entire lab except for a couple areas like the testing and medical areas have a magic draining field around them; The bands prevent the field from draining your magic and by extension, killing you. This also prevents any spells from being cast except for in the aforementioned areas" Luz explained to the now white faced teens who promptly made sure there bands were securely on there wrists.
After that Amity asked a Question that willow and Gus were wondering as well "What is a cryo bomb and why are you readying them?" After a moment Luz responded "Well think of it like a freezing spell but it happens in the same span as an explosion, leaving anyone or anything in its wake frozen solid" Luz explains as the three witches go even paler "and I'm going to use them to freeze grom solid so no one has to fight him again" Luz continued as Amity, Willow and Gus's skin become a few shades healthier "well I'll see you guys at grom Luz said as the mark 50 full assembles itself around luz before she took off.
At Hexide
Luz arrived at hexide and met her friends who showed her to the gymnasium where the party was going on where she met Eda and talked with her while waiting to fight grom "so your just going to freeze the thing solid before destroying it?" Eda asked sceptical "it's a little more complexes than that but that's the gist of it" Luz replied before switching the topic. After an hour Gus and King announce the beginning of the fight with the nanites reforming the helmet (the removed it to talk with Eda better). Once luz was in the arena she told Jarvis to send the cryo bombs while she dogged Grom's attempts to grab her or read her mind. As the bombs were almost there Luz created a good sized hole in the roof so they could go through, and after a moment 3 medium objects came crashing down on grom making a thick cloud of frost and dust that once cleared showed a frozen solid grom before Luz shot a repulsor blast shattering grom into millions of pieces.
After Gus announced the winner everyone dances as Luz sits on the bench having no one to dace with "M-may I-I have this d-dance?" a voice asks as Luz looks up to see Amity who has her hand outstretched and is sporting a huge blush. Luz began to blush "y-you may" Luz said as she took Amity's hand. When Luz stood up she transformed the mark 50 into a long sleeveless midnight purple dress which makes Amity's blush deepen tremendously. Luz and Amity danced and hung out for the rest of grom with Amity leaving with her siblings and Luz flying of in the mark 50
