At Midtown High Prom…
Peter had never ridden in a limo before as everything felt so fancy to him.
Alister was so sweet to bring a limo for him to ride in and even sweeter to allow Michael to ride with him. Peter really did feel special, though he was not so certain about how he felt with the two college boys. He wasn't so sure what to think of them, they were nice and smart, but should he pursue a relationship with them, and he really didn't accept their offer, he just couldn't say no. Peter was too nice and truth be told, it felt a little bit shy around the older boys. Well, maybe he'll have fun at the dance, he'll have fun.
Besides, that means he wins the bet against Flash and Peter wouldn't have to go alone or not at all. He sees MJ waiting for him at the school, wanting to come to help him feel a little less overwhelmed by Alister and Michael. Mary Jane was the best friend to have when it came to stuff like this, and she knew how to help when Peter was not used to stuff like this. She will be there to make sure Peter doesn't get too uncomfortable.
"Hey, Tiger. Ready to have some fun?" MJ greeted the boy who was being helped get out of the limo by Alister.
"Ready as I'll ever be." Peter breathed as his dates stood side by side with him with one holding each hand.
"I can assure you, Dear Mr. Parker, that you will have an extraordinary and enchanting night at your little soiree. I will make certain of that." Michael promised with a kiss on his hand.
"And if not him, you have me to fall back on." Alister laughed a little doing the same thing but earning a jealous glare from his rival.
They both glared at each other until MJ pulled Peter away from the two.
"Come on, let's head in." Mary Jane grinned as everyone followed her inside.
Peter smiled and followed his friend while his dates were behind.
At the Autumn Dance…
Everyone was already inside as Eddie was taking Gwen towards the spread, where they could spot Peter and the wolves that trapped him into going to the dance.
Eddie was giving the young woman some punch when big-time Harry Osborn, with his head the size of the Statue of Liberty. It seemed that Peter's pity earned him a place with the popular kids. Don't get him wrong, Eddie was content that his bro's secret identity was safe, and Pete found a spot as a cheerleader for his lightness, but Harry did not deserve the admiration and he knew it.
Harry was leading his flock of sheeple to have their pictures taken, ignoring Gwen's greeting.
"Looks like Osborn is finally one of them now." Eddie scoffed with disappointment.
"Well, maybe the bowtie is a little tight and cutting a circulation to his ears… or brain." Gwen sighed, unhappy with Harry's arrogance.
Then Eddie and Gwen spotted Peter come in with MJ, Alister, and Michael. A sheepdog, a sheep, and wolves would best describe the situation.
"You weren't kidding, Eddie," Gwen muttered.
"Yeah, a lamb in the midst of wolves. I'm only happy that MJ made sure he got here safely." Eddie answered as Peter came over to introduce his dates.
"Hey Eddie, hey Gwen, this is Michael, Mary Jane and Eddie you remember Alister?" Peter introduced the boys and girls to his friends.
"Nice to see you again, MJ. Happy to hear your back." Eddie smiled and shook his old friend's hand.
"Happy to be back." MJ grinned back as everyone at Midtown High was watching Peter with so many people, a pretty girl and two college boys.
"Wow, who knew Parker got game?" Rand marveled, knowing that if Peter finally opened up to people he would make more connections.
But he didn't expect him to gain so many so quickly.
"Yeah, Petey really knows how to win people over…" Liz muttered as she watched her teacher/crush being surrounded by so many admirers.
"It looks like it is causing some friction too. Eddie looks like he's going to wring their necks." Gloria pointed out the rage that was clear on the older blond's face.
"How could the Geek manage to get a hot girl and two college boys?! It doesn't make any sense!" Sally shrieked.
Harry tried to get their attention but it seemed that Peter was the king for the night.
This would start something bigger.
