Chapter 2:

Drakon stood in the throne room of Shang Tsung's island, with him were the warriors that would represent Outworld in the 10th Mortal Kombat Tournament Outworld needed to win to be allowed to invade, take over and merge Earth realm with Outworld.

Stood with the dragon lord was the mighty Goro , the prince of pain, the Shokan who had won the last 9 Mortal Kombat Tournaments, the first of which he won by killing the not so great Kung Loug.

The pathetic Saurian Reptile was there in his green gear, he should never had been there in the first place, Reptile was good at stealth, thanks to his ability to turn invisible but he begged the great Shao Khan for the opportunity to fight in this, the coward would probably hide and not get involved.

Drakon looked to his side and saw Ermac, the red clad warrior who was created with the combined souls of thousands of outworlders who were stupid enough to rebel against the rule of Shao Khan, Drakon wondered to himself who many of those rebel souls were killed by the dragon lord.

Drakon looked around and saw many other warriors that were here to represent Outworld including a moroi, a couple of tarkatans, a single Osh-Tekk "i wonder if they know what happened to their general" Drakon wondered. There was a Kytinn, and another Shokan who was obviously there to try and make a name for herself.

The dragon lord's eyes were drawn to the throne in the middle of the room, standing next to that golden chair was the beautiful Kitana, Shao Khan's personal head assassin, The Edenian who had trained with and been friends with the dragon lord for thousands of years since they were children.

"I will say, this is very much a surprise that you are here." Drakon said to his lifelong friend.

"The emperor wants to make sure nothing goes wrong in this tournament, he will not have a repeat of last time where Shang Tsung lost in the 10th tournament and we had to start again and it cost us another 500 years."

Drakon could not help but laugh at the jab at his former teacher that taught him everything he knew about magic and how to use it.

The two of them heard an old sleazy laugh and some slow claps "very funny princess, very, very funny. Your father need not worry, i have guaranteed your magnificent father that earth realm will lose this night and i always keep my promises''

Before anyone could blink Kitana held her extended razor fans against the neck of Shang tsung. " You failed us once and trust me my father does not do third chances, if it was up to me you would have been put to work in the mines after your failure."

"Don`t you worry your pretty little face princess, everything will go to plan," Shang Tsung said with a snake-like smile.

Before Kitana could respond there was an almighty thunderstorm that roared across the island. Shang gave a small laugh and "the competition has arrived". Many of the outworld fighters ran outside to see a boat arrive on the shore and the first one to leave the boat was the thunder god and the main protector of earth realm, it was lord Raiden. many other warriors walked out of the boat, Lord Drakon could not help but have his eyes instantly drawn to Liu Kang, the shaleon monk was wearing a black gi, his hair in a mullet, Drakon felt some kind of power from the monk it exited the dragon warrior more than anything, he wanted to fight Liu Kang right away, Drakon looked next to Liu Kang and saw some idiot in a suit, it was Johnny Cage the washed up actor who hadn't done anything of note since the 1980s and was fighting allegations that his persona of being a legit martial artist was fake "love the smoke machines hat man" Drakon overhead Cage say to the thunder god obsolete note understanding the gravity of the situation at hand, next to him was a ninja of all blue, it was the Lin Kuei warrior Bi Han also Known as Sub Zero, on the other side of the group was Sonya Blade, the beautiful blonde special agent was wearing green and black gym leggins, a green sports bra and a black head band, those were the only warriors, that Lord Drakon cared to pay attention to. He went back into the main hall and sat at the main table, from the corner of his eye Drakon saw a guy sat next to him, he was wearing white fighting gi but all Drakon could pay attention to was the metal plate that covered a quarter of his face and gave him a bright red glowing eye. "Gday mate the name is Kano, how are you my dragon" he said extending his hand out to Drakon, Drakon grabbed Kano by the arm and gave it a quick squeeze which is the traditional hand shake in Outworld, Kano pulled his arm back " what is your problem mate." Drakon gave him a quick look and said "who are you and what gives you the right to talk to me.", Kano gave him a quick laugh "you`re real funny mate as i said the name is Kano and i was just trying to be friendly you cunt." "why are you here, shouldn't you be out there with your fellow Earth-realmers." Drakon asked the Australian. " Our mutual Friend Shang Tsung offered me a shit ton of money to help him and you have to take the money, even you must get that my dragon friend" before Drakon could answer him, the main doors of the food hall opened up and the earth realm warriors walked through.

"Greetings one and all to my private island, I am honored to host this amazing tormanet to decide the very fate of earth-realm. Ladies and gentlemen and everything in between prepare to test your might. I call MORTAL KOMBAT. IT BEGINS" Shang shouted as mystic storm clouds surrounded his island.

Shang looked around at all of the warriors in the main hall and thought for a second and held out one of his old pointy fingers. "Our first fight will be the dragon prince of outworld lord Drakon versus Hydro of earth-realm."

Drakon stepped forward and walked to the middle of the hall and looked at the earth-realm crowd as a blue ninja made his presence known to all, his uniform was more skin tight than sub zero`s, he had two sword hilts attached to his back, his mask covered his whole face.

The two fighters stared at each other. both focused and trying to sike eachother out but never giving an inch. Shang Tusng gave a vile smile and said the one word that would decide the fate of everyone in that hall and every living being in the many realms "FIGHT".

The Very second the words left the host`s lips Hydro jumped forward and extended his arm out and had two of his fingers pointed at the head of Drakon`s head, a high powered stream of water blasted out from the tips of his fingers, Drakon turned his head to the side at the very last possible second, the stream cut a straight line right through the cheek of the dragon warrior and blasted a hole through the ceiling, Drakon felt the blood run down his face from the cut on his cheek, smiled and took a deep breath. As he exhaled his fists begin to ignite and become covered in fire, he jumps forward and blasts a fireball at his opponent. Hydro raised his hands in the air and a fall of water raised up from the ground, the wall blocked the fire ball and then morphed into a ball and was fired at the dragon warrior at the command of Hydro only to be met by another fire ball by Lord Dakon.

Kitana watched from next the Shang Tsung with admiration as she saw two master warriors battle each other, fire and water blasting against each other both equal in power, both warriors not wasting a single shot as they both were very much aware that a single misfire could leave a opening that would lead to defeat and that would almost guarantee death. Kitana looked at her childhood friend Drakon's battle for not only his life but for the pride of Outworld and she could not help but feel some kind of feelings. it was not just a simple attraction (even though he was very handsome Kitanna admitted to herself) it was something deeper, something real. She wanted to be with him not just sexal but fully in mind, body and soul. She looked deep inside herself and saw what her heart truly wanted and that was Drakon has the emperor of outworld and her by his side as his empress and they would lead the outworld into a golden age for everyone in outworld , not just the emperor.

As Kitanna was lost in her fantasy she almost missed a straw blast of water that was heading directly towards her head, she was able to expand out one of her blue metal fans and used it to block the water blast.

Drakon saw the blast of water that nearly beheaded his childhood friend.

"HOW DARE YOU" Drakon rawed, he expanded out his wings causing a blast of fire that created the space that was needed to allow Drakon to jump in the air and come down with a flaming kick aiming directly at Hydro`s head.

Hydro panicked while creating a shield of water. As the shield met the fireball of a kick there was an explosion of steam that covered the entire hall, after the steam cleared the grand hall the audience saw Drakon standing tall over a defeated Hydro.

Shang Tsung gave a laugh from his throne, with an evil smile "good, good i'm proud of you Drakon now FINISH HIM ''.

Drakon placed both of his hands on the side of Hydro`s head and lifted him up, As Drakon began to tighten his grip, he began to absorb Hydro`s life energy. This was a power Lord Drakon had since his childhood that took many years under the teaching of both Shang Tsung and Shao Khan to learn to control. After Drakon drained every last ounce of life force from Hydro he dropped the husk that could be very generously considered a body on to the ground, the dragon warrior kicked the head of the now deceased combatant over to the thunder god that was leading the defense of earth realm.

Shang Tsung clapped his hands together and proclaimed "Drakon Wins, Fatality" he finished with his snake smile.

Kitana walked down the steps to meet with the first of many victors she hoped. "Congratulations on your victory Drakon, tell me how do you feel after that "

Drakon looked down at his hands which were colored in the blood of the now dead water bender. The dragon lord focused and a small ball of water started to form in his blood covered hand, the ball slid around his hands and cleaned away the blood, Drakon looked at the ball of bloody water in his hand and he blasted it into a wall leaving a dent in the wall. "I`m great, I have an all new power to master," Drakon answered with a smile.

Drakon sat down on a seat and started to play with the water ball, trying to learn the ins and outs of his new powers, Kitana sat next to him and watched her life long friend`s water ball. It was oddly beautiful, she thought.

Shang Tsung Clapped his hands together and look at his audience "I don't know about you but i don't know how any other match up is meant to be most exciting than our first match but we shall find out with our next match and that will be Sonya Blade vs Kano." he announced.

Drakon heard a heavy laugh from behind his head

"Alright it's finally my time to shine."

Kano walked down to the center of the room and was met by his opponent.

Her name was Sonya Blade, she was a member of the United States of America`s Special Forces, she was a white woman aged 26, she was wearing a green sports bar, green leggings that had a black crouch, black gauntlets and a black headband wrapped around her blonde hair.

"hello baby, did you miss me?" Kano asked with a laugh. Sonya answered the question with a punch to the face that the aussie was able to block at the last second. "well fuck me then, i was trying to be nice but i guess nice guys do finish last, that`s ok i know what really turns on a shelia is a real man that can kill them and gut them like the pig`s they truely are." Kano said, spitting on his opponent's face. Sonya responded with disgust at the repulsive comment made against her, by headbutting him in the face and breaking his nose. This forced Kano to step back, he wiped his face looking at the blood that was starting to stain his and white gi that he was wearing.

"you bitch" he yelled, the red eye on his face plate begin to glow brighter and brighter until a red laser blasted out of it aiming to blast a hole through Sonya, she was able to dodge it with a cartwheel causing the laser to blast a hole through the wall of Shang Tsung's palace which did make Drakon smile a bit imaging how mad it made the snake like sorcerer.

Once Sonya had regained her footing she ran towards Kano and in doing so closing the distance between them, making sure that Kano Couldn`t use that eye laser again and forcing him to fight in hand to hand combat which would give Sonya a advantage as she was obviously the better martial artist, Kano decided to even the fight by pulling out a knife and trying to slash and stab at his American opponent and in doing so forcing Sonya to focus more on defense than offense.

Drakon watched the fight from his seat, he was analyzing every move, every step, even every single breath of the fight. Kano was powerful but not focused in his attacks were Sonya while not as powerful as her opponent, every single strike, block, movement of her feet, hell every breath she took was delprete, there was no wasted movement.

"The woman is going to win, '' the dragon lord said to Kitana who was sitting next to him. She looked at him with a confused look wondering how he could possibly know the outcome to a fight that had just started and looked very evenly matched.

"please enlighten me, how on out world do you know the winner". The dragon lord pointed at the two fighters ``the drunk is too focused on that face laser of his, but to use it effectively he needs to make distance between them and the blonde woman knows that so she is keeping the fight close". Kitana gave a flirtatious laugh "you want to put your money where your mouth is?"

Drakon gave her a curious look.

"50 Koins says the disgusting man beats the blonde earth realmer." Kitana said while holding out of hand only to have it met by Drakon`s in a shake who smiled and responded "your on."

The two outworlders watched the fighters battle each other, the smile on Drakon`s face kept getting bigger and bigger as the outcome of the fight was becoming more and more apparent.

Sonya punched Kano in his face mask and before her opponent could get their revenge Sonya did a handstand and grabbed Kano with her feet and then slammed him into the ground behind her.

Kano was knocked out.

Shang Tsung smiled devilishly "FINISH HIM '' he yelled out. Sonya looked down at her beaten and broken opponent, she easily could kill him right here right now all she would have to do is her flaming kiss and he would burn down to a crisp.

why was she even thinking about letting this man live, he killed her team, the sole reason she was here in the tournament on this insane island was to avenge them.

Sonya thought for a minute and made her choice by walking away from the unconuses body of Kano, Shang looked at her with pure disgust and announced to the crowd "Sonya wins' '.

Drakon looked at Sonya as she walked back to the earth-realm side of the main hall.

"she is fascinating" Kitanna looked at him with confusion.

"Why do you say that?" she asked.

Drakon looked at her and smiled "she is only human, there are no special abilities for her to use and even out the battlefield, while Kano is also human he has that face plate with a laser on it, but Sonya still battled him head on and even won with her skill. She is out matched but is still here battling for the fate of her realm. I almost feel bad that she will fail and her realm will fall".

The two Outworlders continued to talk between themselves until they heard a voice from the golden throne.

Shang Tsung stood up from his chair and told his audience

"Our next battle will be Sub Zero vs Scorpion"
