"She's waking up!" a voice that sounded vaguely familiar.

"Do I know you?" I mumbled trying to open my eyes.

"Rest," the voice was gentler this time.

"Is she awake?" another familiar voice said.

"Yes, give her some room."

"You sound like, Katara." I mumbled.

"How do you know me?" she said, I opened my eyes to see.

"Katara? I must be dreaming." I said rubbing my eyes, it looked like her. Well her if she wasn't a cartoon, the beautiful round eyes, her cheeks were full complementing her heart shaped face. She still looked around 14, I think I dreamt her pretty well. I hadn't emphases anything or over cartooned.

"Are you working with the Fire Nation!" Sokka said glaring from my peripheral vision, I rubbed my eyes again. The only thing that was different about him was that he had a higher cheekbone, like in Korra. You could see once his cheeks hallowed it would define his jaw.

"Are you going to accuse every one we met of that?" Katara demanded, turning around to yell at him.

"What? I'm dreaming…"

"No, but you're safe." Katara said warmly.

"Safe…" I took my arm and pinched myself. Ouch! Ok, but I still had to be dreaming. I mean come on. I decided just to play the dream out.

"Ok where are we?" I said trying to look around.

"Southern Air Temple," Aang said coming into my line of vision. Wow, he looked so young, his cheeks were still quite babyish, his grey eyes solves that fandom debate. I sat up Katara looked at me worriedly.

"I'm fine," I reassured her, but she still helped me to my feet. I saw Appa and jumped.

"Appa! Wow," I said putting my hand out to stroke his head, he groaned at me pressing his head into my hand. I laughed. He looked so adorable, so fluffy!

"Wow," I said turning back to the group.

"How did you know my name?" Katara asked.

"I er, um. You want the war to end right?" I said, it's a dream it doesn't matter if I tell them.

"No, we love the war." Sokka said.

"All right Mr Sarcastic," I said. "I know the future because where I am from your live is like a play," I said nervously looking at the ground. "One of my favourite plays, so I kind of know it off by heart, which means I know how to end the war faster if we keep most of it the same." I said grinning at them.

"How did you get here?"

"I have no idea, I was walking to my friend's house to get ready for a holiday, then boom I wake up in Katara's arms."

"Ok, so then what's my name?"

"Sokka," I said. "That's Aang, Appa and Momo. Or have you named him yet?"

"Yeah, we were just leaving."

"You haven't told us your name,"

"I'm Alice,"

"Huh, that's a strange name," Aang said.

"Suppose it would be to you," I smirked.

"And what's with your hair?" Sokka said pointing at my head. I looked down at my auburn hair.

"Its just my hair colour, we have more hair colours than you do, like blonde – which you won't know. Um, it's kind of a light sand colour."

"Well…" Aang said rubbing the back of his neck. "You're welcome to travel with us… If you want."

"Uh I don't think I'd be much of an asset,"

"You know how to end the war faster. You're an asset," Sokka said. "If that's true tell me something that has happened to me."

"Sokka she said –"

"Yeah, but there are flash backs and things Katara," Sokka said.

"Ok, uh… Your parents are Hukoda and Kya – I'm sorry about your mum. Uh you once got two fishhooks stuck in your thumb. Before you found Aang you were arguing about water bending as Katara caught a fish you hit her bubble with a spear and it wet you, as it broke her concentration. Um… Monk Gyasto was awesome and cheated in Pi Cho, you didn't believe Appa could fly, uh –"

"No one likes a show off," Sokka said. I laughed climbing onto Appa.

"This kind of fell out of the sky too." Sokka said holding up my suitcase.

"Thanks," I said reaching down to take put it in Appa's saddle.

"No problem, getting used to crazy things happening to us." Sokka said, I laughed.

"We should probably get you some normal clothes." Sokka said looking at my jeans and stripy long-sleeved top.

"Mine will fit her, till we do," Katara said. My figure was pretty similar to Katara's.

"Thank you, Katara." I smiled.

"So what's in your bag if you don't mind me asking?" Sokka said gesturing.

"Oh some clothes, I was going to go on my first holiday with the girls. I had just finished packing…"

"Can I look?"

"Sure Katara," I smiled. She looked at it for a moment.

"How do you open it?" she asked. I looked at her confused for a moment.

"Oh the zip, huh just like this."

"That's so cool." Sokka said, moving it up and down.

"Don't break it. Why don't we wait till we are on the ground." I said.

"Good idea,"

We continued to chat in Appa's saddle, Katara was telling me a little about the water tribe culture and folklores. I was surprised no crazy dream stuff had happened like Zhau being super huge and knocking us out of the sky. Or a big storm where we nearly drown, or some of the other episodes crashing in.

Yet.

Nothing happened.

"Katara, enough you'll bore her," Sokka said, waving his hand.

"No it's really interesting," I promised him, gesturing for her to continued, she scowled at her brother before telling me about a seal spirit that protects children. My imagination was crazy.

"Ok we should down soon and start camp, it's been a long day," Aang said.

"Good idea Aang," Katara said, smiling at him. I watched in amazement as Appa began to dive. The cool wind throwing through my hair and on my face.

Appa gently landed and we all slide down.

"Best set up camp, you know how to do that?" Sokka said looking at me.

"Er, sure if I have assistance." I said nervously. I set up the tent, with Sokka and watched as the others did the little things needed to set up camp.

"Can you help me with the food. We normally don't eat that much meat cause Aang is vegetarian,"

"Me too,"

Aang's eyes lit up.

"Great, we got two people who hate meat," Sokka said grumpily.

"I suppose this world is may not be as cruel as the way the animals are killed on mine, but the idea of it now." I cringed.

"So, I figured maybe a seaweed base with some vegetables," Katara said.

"Sure, I'll help cut those up," I said kneeling beside her.

Katara and I did most of the cooking, though I did make a small comment about how it was the girls. Aang immediately began to help as much as he could. Sokka argued that he started the fire that we were using to cook.

We ate and chatted, until we were full and laughing.

"We best get to sleep." Katara said as the stars above us shone.

"Yeah, sleep is good." Sokka said, immediately getting into his sleeping bag.

"Would you like to share with me, you don't have anything," Katara said concerned.

"Thanks," I replied gratefully. We undid the buttons down the side and made it into a duvet. The floor wasn't the most comfortable, but this was better than nothing.

"Night," I murmured, knowing it would end soon.

I closed my eyes wishing that I didn't have to wake up…

Like most of my stuff I have had this in storage for a while trying to add to it before posting so I have space to breathe haha. But I didn't expect everyone to pick it up so actively again in 2020 haha. In the UK it wasn't as popular and I didn't have many people I knew who had watched it.

Anyway Happy Yule/Winter Solistice etc
