Soaring through the skies, I embrace the wind as it brushes against my feathered body and my wings flutter to keep me afloat.
After a few minutes of just flying, my sharp eyes spotted a few berries that would be useful for me in getting some food.
After landing and eating some berries, I once again set off for the skies I call home.
Unfortunately, as much as I would have liked it, in the end I knew this was all a dream that was nearing its end.
Slipping from the dream world into the real one, I found myself back in my bed, where I had fallen asleep the night before.
Waking up from my slumber in my bed, I tried to reach for my phone. Only to stop and see my new wing moving. Realizing that the events of the night weren't just a dream or hallucination, my mind was swirling with questions.
Am I still human? Is it reversible? Are my mother and sister okay? Did they transform too?
Frantically searching for answers, my head was moving in all sorts of directions until I looked out of the window in my room. It was clear with only a few clouds here and there. It somehow put my mind at ease, but there was something else that didn't seem quite right. After closer inspection, I realized that it was deathly quiet. While I did live on the outskirts of a city, it was still weird hearing it; it felt like another quiet and peaceful day.
Yet knowing what happened yesterday i felt like there should have been more noise or something.
The quiet time didnt last too long however as the sound of car engine could be heard wondering who it was i moved to look outside the window.
As I looked at the car, I quickly realized whom it belonged to because the crimson red paint of the vehicle I had so often ridden in was unmistakable. It was my mom that was driving the car.
As my mom parked the car outside the house, I was now faced with a different question: Would she recognize me?
I thought the answer would be yes, but my panic made me want to be 100% certain she would know. Looking around my room, I noticed my wallet sitting on my table, as usual. An idea then hit me. I had my ID card in there, and I could use it to convey the message.
After retrieving my ID card from my wallet, I heard the lock on the door unlock, which only meant that my mom had entered the house.
Holding the ID card in my beak, I prayed that she would recognize it was me. As I stood on the bed, I heard my mom call out from downstairs: "David, are you home?"
After hearing that, I opened my beak with my ID card falling out of it and slightly yelled, "Mom im in my room."
"David! Is that you?" I heard my mom say before remembering that humans couldn't understand pokemon. After that I quickly again picked up the ID card with my beak and waited anxiously.
As she steped into the door frame i could see her panicked look in her eyes as she saw what presumibly was her son.
She just stood there with a defeated face. After a few seconds she asked: "David is this you?". I noded to signify that it was me altough in a diffrent body.
Almost as if on cue she droped to her knees sobbing. I decided to drop my ID card and hop off my bed to go and hug her wich she returned. As her tears fell down on my feathers and skin they slightly stinged, but right now i didnt care as i wanted my mother to be alright.
After a while she ended the hug and stood up wiping her tears away. "Oh my poor child hopefully you are alright" were the words my mother said to me. "I was so worried when i saw the massege on the phone about the mass transformation. The car ride was a total mess to get through on the highway."
"Are you hurt?" I simply shook my head to mean no. "well thats a relief at least. Did Chloe send a massege from her camp? Because i havent gotten one."
I once again shook my head to the question. Hopefully she was okay. I guessed the communication lines would be overrun with people checking on their family and loved ones.
"Man, I didn't even get to eat; that's how fast I wanted to get home," was all my mom needed to say for me to realize that I hadn't eaten dinner yesterday or breakfast today, which made me really hungry. "Did you eat anything?" my mom asked, and I shook my head.
"Ugh! Today is such a hassle. First the mass transformation, now finding you like this. Well, I'm going to make breakfast. Which reminds me, can you even eat normal food?" My mom could be heard from downstairs in the kitchen.
'Well what do i do now' I thought. ' It will be for the best if i get at least something to eat.' with that i jumped of my bed and made my way to the stars.
I stood before and looked down at them anxiously. 'It looks like I've already found a problem.'
After getting myself down the stairs wich was harder than it looked for me. With me jumping down the stairs one by one i was able to get into the living room of the house, i saw my mom pacing around quite nervously. She did notice a bit after that i was staring right at her.
"I wish i had an idea of what to do. But unfortunately my head is a mess right now." after saying that mom just sat on a chair and took a breath.
"Can you eat salami?" i shruged not knowing if i would be sick afterwards.
"Do you wanna at least try it?" i symbolised yes as i was hungry not having any dinner from tomorow.
After eating a good chunk of the salami we had i felt fine not feeling any sickness.
"Are you fine after that?" I noded to not make her worry."Well thats good. now to get myself a breakfast."
She made herself a simple sandwich. Probably cause it was the fastest breakfast that she could think of.
After she finished it almost as if on que our doorbell rang we looked at eachother confused by who could this be.
