Invasion! Separatist leader Wat Tambor has taken control of the planet Ryloth and subjugates its people through a brutal droid occupation. In a daring surprise attack, Jedi Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano defeated the space blockade guarding the planet. Now, Jedi Generals Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Max Kirtman lead a massive invasion to liberate the starving people...
As they got onto a LAAT Gunship, Obi-wan said to Master Windu, "First trick will be getting our troops on the ground." That was when Master Windu told him and Max, "If you two take the city of Nabat first, we'll have our landing zone." Max nodded his head as Kenobi said, "Well it's time to meet the natives." before the gunship's doors closed up and led the other gunships out of the Acclamator after it entered the Atmosphere with the other two. That was when a gunship carrying John, Nitro, May, and Grant landed in the ship to help Windu and Obi-wan.
"Master Bertrand, You and Anakin did a good job in securing the space." Master Windu told them. But John said, "Let's not forget Ahsoka, her part of the plan couldn't have been achieved without her and the idea she came up with." Windu nodded his head and said, "So she was able to recover from her previous failure." May told Master Windu, "She was, she led the fighters while Master Bertrand and Anakin took the Defender and smashed it into the command ship." Windu nodded his head as they walked onto the bridge. Meanwhile, in the city center of Nabat, a T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid called TX-20 was on call with Wat Tambor.
"You must not allow the clones to reach the surface." Wat Tambor told the Tactical droid, to which TX-20 told him, "Our new Proton Cannon are in the optimum position to prevent that, sir." Wat Tambor tried to speak but he had to turn a dial on his pressure suit before he said, "What if they focus the attack on your cannon? That made TX-20 stand up as he said that he was using the villagers he took prisoner as living shields around the five J-1 proton cannons. He said that he calculated that the Jedi would not risk their safety with a direct assault.
In the gunships, Obi-Wan told the clones of the 212th and the 899th legions, "We need to remember why we're here. We came to aid the Twi'leks, not destroy their homes." which was when Max said, "Which means we'll be taking it back the hard way. No explosive ordinance, minimal destruction with blasters and Droid poppers only. No rockets or detonators." Then Cody said, "The General's right, Check your aim boys. Keep an eye out for the locals. Am I understood?" and all the clones said, "Sir, yes, sir!"
That was when a Clone who had a small mustache, CT-7212 "Boil", said to another clone, CT-7002 "Waxer", "If we're here to free the tail heads, the least they can do is get out of our way." Then another Clone, CT-7105 "Patch" who was in the 899th Legion, looked at him and said, "Watch it Boil, those "Tail heads" may end up saving your life in this battle." back at the Proton cannons, a B1 Battledroid told TX-20, "Sir, the Enemy is in range." That was when TX-20 told the cannons to fire at will. The Proton cannons aimed up and began to open fire at the Acclamators. Explosions going off nearby rocked the ships. Soon a shot struck the engine of one and it fell out of the sky.
"General, the enemy fire is penetrating our shields!" said a bald bridge clone. That was when Mace said, "Get us Kenobi and Max."when the two Jedi connected to Mace and John, they were telling them about the Proton Cannons before John said, "Obi-Wan, Max, we can't risk landing the larger transports until you take out those guns." Max spoke first and said, "Pull back master, we'll take care of them." John nodded and ordered the Acclamators to retreat as the Proton Cannons now focused on the Gun ships. That was when May asked John, "Permission to commence search and rescue at the downed Acclamator?" John nodded his head and said, "Go, take some gunships too. Be Careful!" May nodded her head as she ran out to get on gunships as clones of John's Legion also took off to a different area outside of the town.
As the gunships with the 212th and 899th Legion came under fire, one gunship took a hit and slammed into another, causing both gunships to go down. Obi-Wan then asked the clones who were up for a challenge, pointing out that they wouldn't be getting any reinforcements until those guns were out of commission. That was when Waxer said, "Here we go again." as the gunships flew some more, another gunship was shot down. Back in the village center, a B1 Battledroid told TX-20, "Commander, the republic transports have turned away, but the gunships are still heading towards up." TX-20 then said that was what he calculated.
The remaining gunships then landed and allowed the clones inside to all rush out of them and up a hill Max and Obi-wan led the way with Grant and Cody by their sides. Max heard of Commander Cody and wanted to help him, but he knew it would raise questions. At the out defenses of the city, some Battledroids were at a turret emplacement when one said, "I think I see movement in the trees. Fire! Fire!" and soon the rest of the battledroids opened up too on the clones. The clones returned fire as they moved from cover to cover. Cody told his men, "Come on, then, let's go! Go, Go, Go!"
Max and Kenobi were deflecting blaster bolts back into the battledroids as more showed up. As the clone numbers slowly shrank. Max pressed a button and said, "OK 898TH! BRING UP THE MORTARS!" and three clones with Mortars arrived and Kenobi told Max, "May I remind you about no destruction?" and Max told him, "Relax Kenobi, those mortars are made to launch Droid Poppers. Aim for the emplacements!" The clones nodded, aimed, and fired, launching Droid poppers into the emplacements, going off and shutting the droids down.
"Impressive." Kenobi said to Max, who smiled and said, "I knew better than to use explosives. The Mortars were modified to be able to launch Droid poppers. In the courtyard, TX-20 was told by a B1 Battledroid, "Sir, I've lost contact with our outer defenses." that made TX-20 say, "The Republic troops have overrun the village perimeter. Find out how the Jedi plan to attack." The battle droid did the usual Roger Roger response. Back with the clones, Obi-Wan, and Max, Grant told the two Jedi, "The Wall is secure, sir. Are we moving on to the guns?"
"Well General Max?" Obi-Wan asked Max, who said, "We'll need to know what we're dealing with. Grant, Cody, take some of your best men to scout ahead." Cody and Grant nodded their heads and as Grant got his clones, one of which was Patch, Cody grabbed Wooley, Waxer, and Boil. Boil then looked at Waxer and said, "I guess we're the best. In the courtyard, several Probe droids floated up and flew off towards the clones. Back with Grant and Cody, they were leading the 6 clones they picked through the streets of the city as Cody said, "Buildings are just buildings. What really makes a city are the inhabitants that live in it."
"So… where are they?" Boil asked Cody. They then reached a crossroad, Cody told Waxer, Boil, Patch, and CT-7109 "Thatcher" to head down south. Then Grant said, "Good, the rest of us will check the courtyard. Be back at command by 0620" the four clones nodded their heads and they splitted off. As they walked, Waxer told Boil that the area they were in was creepy, asking if the droids killed them all. That was when Patch said, "No they're not dead, if they were we would see bodies. They were most likely driven from their homes, not like they had a…" that was when they heard a soft crunch before Patch said, "Choice."
With Cody, Wooley, Grant, and CT-7119 "Woodley" watched the droids in the city center as an AAT Rolled along. Wooley told the two commanders, "Not gonna be easy getting to those guns, sirs." That was when Grant said, "There's always a way, Wooley." Cody agreed with him before they looked through their electrobinoculars. They saw the guns, then they saw the villagers. Grant said, "They're holding the survivors hostage, so we won't be able to bombard them directly. We better report this to the generals." Cody nodded his head in agreement.
Later, a Separatist probe Droid flew above the Republic forces as Grant and Cody were reporting to General Kenobi, Max, and Master Windu and John through a Holomessage. Cody said, "Found the guns. They're in the courtyard here and here." As he pointed to the holomap. Then Grant said, "That being said there's a complication. They have the locals hostage and they're using them as shields." That was when Obi-Wan said, "the Twi'lek prisoners will make this difficult, but not impossible." Then Max said, "I agree, I still have a good plan for taking out those guns."
"I'm glad Max, but getting the Villagers out of harm's way is our first Priority, once that's done then we take out the guns." John told them, but Max knew what he was really saying. Back in the courtyard, TX-20 saw them and assumed Kenobi was the one who was leading the assault. He said that Kenobi was known for his deceptive maneuvers. With, Waxer, Boil, Patch, and Thatcher, they were continuing down the street when, from an alleyway, some stones clattered as if one person walked by them, taking cover the four clones looked down the alleyway and nodded at each other before rushing in and spotted a young teal colored Twi'lek child.
"Ah, it's just a little girl." Boil said the three other clones. Waxer asked the other clones what were they going to do with her. As Waxer and Boil argued, Patch and Thatcher immediately took off their helmets to show the child they were flesh and blood, just like she was. Patch then offered her a ration stick, she took it and gobbled it down before hiding. Thatcher looked and saw a separatist probe droid and told waxer and Boil to hide. She then saw Waxer and Boil take their helmets off too. She pointed to all four of them as she said Nerra. Waxer told her, "No I'm Waxer, he's Boil, they are Patch and thatcher." but all the little girl did in response was say Nerra four times.
"Great you guys made a friend, mission accomplished. Can we go now?" Asked Boil. Patch and Thatcher rolled their eyes as they put their helmets on. Waxer tried to take the girl's hand but Patch stopped him as he said, "we can't force her to come with us. Besides, I think that she may follow us." The four clones then left the young girl in the alleyway, but she soon began to follow them. In the courtyard, TX-20 walked past the hostages and down the stairs to battledroids dealing with creatures. When asked by Tx-20 if the creatures were ready, a B1 Battledroid said, "I starved them like you ordered, sir." the battledroid then asked TX-20 if he was sure the creatures, known to the Twi'leks as Gutkurrs, wouldn't attack the battledroids. In response, TX-20 opened the cage and one Gutkurr attacked the B1 Battledroid before spitting the poor droid out.
"As I calculated, the creatures require organic meat." TX-20 said in his cold, calculated voice. The B1 Battledroid responded with, "that's a relief." and TX-20 told him, "It will not be for the clones. They will provide a most generous supply. Back with the four clones still looking around, the little Twi'lek girl was following them when Waxer said, "I wonder what happened to her family." Boil said that they were probably dead. Adding on that hopefully she would survive the situation. Patch and Thatcher looked at each other then back at the girl as she hid behind a corner. Soon they saw that she stopped following them and Patch said, "she's gone." Waxer told him, "I'm sure the kid will turn up." Patch then turned around and saw the little girl in front of him.
"Hey, there you are kiddo." Patch said as he knelt down and booped her nose before Boil asked about how she got in front of them. Soon she ran in the direction of the recon Droid, Boil wanted to leave her, but he got out voted as the other three ran after her, not wanting to leave her behind, as Boil said, "I'm just trying to keep you guys alive! I'll be damned if I know why." Soon after a while of running, the Twi'lek girl led the four clones to her home. Entering, they entered the house and Patch said, "this must have been her home. Poor kid, she lost it all." Waxer took his helmet off and saw a small doll on the ground, picking it up, he dusted it off and handed it to her. Once the girl took hold of the doll, she immediately started crying. Waxer, Patch, and Thatcher comforted her before she hugged each of them. Then Boil joined them and said that they would keep her safe, and that was a promise. She then hugged him as well.
Soon the four of their commlinks went off and Boil said, "It's the commanders, we're way overdue." Then Patch and Thatcher got a message in Morse code that they understood. Patch looked at the girl and asked her, "Is there anywhere to get out of here besides the front door?" when Boil asked him, "What's up?" Thatcher told them, "The Droids released starved Gutkurrs and right now they're heading our way." The girl then showed the clones a hatch that led under the house. And right as they got into the underground tunnel, two Gutkurrs arrived at the house. Boil looked at Patch and Thatcher and asked them, "How'd you two know about that?" Patch looked at him and said, "Our Jedi General warned us ahead of time. Come on, if we follow this tunnel we could meet up with the others and our generals."
After following the tunnels for a while, the clones and the little Twi'lek girl all found Kenobi, Cody, Max, Grant, and the other clones. Cody and Grant approached the four clones and asked them where they had been. Waxer said, "Sirs, there is an explanation." and Boil said, "We got sidetracked." as they looked at the little girl. Max knelt and smiled and said in Twi'leki, "Think you can show us the way, little one?" the girl nodded her head, and that made Max smile.
Later, the clones were outside the courtyard as Max, Kenobi, Waxer, Boil, Patch, Thatcher, and the young Twi'lek girl followed the tunnels before as Mex pressed a button. On an Acclamator ship, John received the transmission from Max and he nodded at Ash before he said, "Tell the troops to begin the attack." Ash nodded his head and sent a transmission to clones under John's command. With the Jedi Generals and clones, they approached two droids from behind as one cleaned one of the cages and he said, "Yep, this is about the worst job in the droid army." Then two lightsabers hummed to life and cut down the other two droids as the Droid in the cage saw that and said, "And it just went into overtime." right before Obi-Wan, holding the little girl, used the force to push the button that closed the cage.
Max chuckled, pulled out a Droid popper, and tossed it into the cage, shutting the droid down. Then the four clones with them arrived as Obi-Wan told them, "Keep the girl here. Shall we, Master Max?" Max nodded his head and followed Obi-wan up the stairway and got eyes on the prisoners. Obi-Wan Motioned to the four clones to join them, Waxer told Numa to stay put and to stay quiet before he joined his Jedi General and the other clones. Then the six of them got behind the prisoners and droids guarding them.
"There they are. Let's go!" Shouted Grant before he and Cody led their companies in engaging the Droid's front lines. As the droids fired at the clones, Obi-Wan and Max ignited their lightsabers as Waxer, Boil, Patch, and Thatcher shot at them. Obi-wan and Max began to cut the bindings on the prisoners as Grant and Cody pulled their troopers back. Cutting the last one, Obi-Wan said, "Wa-janeel. Wa-janeel!" as he led the freed prisoners back to the stairway. One B1 Battle droid saw that and reported it to TX-20, saying that the prisoners were escaping. TX-20 then turned his AAT around to engage Obi-Wan and Max. Grant then pressed a button on his commlink and said, "REAPER COMPANY! FIRE!" on the tops of the surrounding walls, Clones appeared and fired at the droids below them as two RPS-6 rocket launchers fired at TX-20's tank, disabling it as a Clone commander dropped down.
"This does not compute." TX-20 said to the clone commander as he prepared a Droid Popper and said, "Compute this." before he dropped the Droid Popper into the tank and jumped off, going off in TX-20's hands. Cody looked at Grant and said, "You knew they were there?" Grant simply told him, "Was only told recently." Soon explosions from the courtyard were heard as Kenobi and Max took out the guns, allowing Mace and John to land the Acclamators. Cody, Grant, Mace, and John walked up to Max and Obi-Wan. Mace said to the two, "Good job getting rid of those cannons. Now we have a more difficult problem."
"Agreed, that is taking the capital and freeing this world." John said to them. Soon Waxer, Patch, and Thatcher said goodbye to the Twi'lek girl who they found out was called Numa. Then Boil said, "Hey Numa. Stay out of trouble." Numa then ran and hugged Boil's leg before he said, "Don't be afraid. We'll be back." Soon the clones began the walk to their next mission as Numa waved goodbye as she said Nerra. Waxer asked Obi-Wan and Max, "Sirs, what is that she keeps calling us?" Max smiled and said, ""Nerra." It means brother." Waxer, Boil, Patch, and Thatcher all looked at each other before looking back at Numa and waved goodbye as other clones, ATTEs, and LAAT Gunships kept going to the next battle on the planet to free Ryloth.
